American indie rockers Kurt Vile and The Violators will bring an evening of eclectic American rock to Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas at The Linq Promenade on Monday, August 15 at 8 p.m.
Riding a wave of acclaim from his most recent album, “b’lieve i’m goin down,” Vile and his studio and touring band The Violators are in the midst of an international tour that includes stops in Poland, Italy, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal and the UK. Vile’s show at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas will highlight his six-album catalogue, representative of lo-fi, garage-folk inspirations such as Neil Young and Stephen Malkmus’ Pavement.
Vile’s sixth studio album “b’lieve i’m goin’ down” was recorded all across the United States and released on Sept. 25, 2015. In an article for Spin Magazine, “Kurt Vile Talks ‘All Over the Place’ New Album,” Vile described “b’lieve i’m goin down” as, “All over the place. Everything you can imagine I’ve done… That’s where I’m at now, that I can sort of tap into every world and make it cohesive.”
Doors for Kurt Vile and The Violators at Brooklyn Bowl open at 7 p.m. This show is for ages 18+.
