On Thursday, Feb. 1, Play Playground at Luxor Hotel & Casino celebrated its grand opening with a massive party at the unique new attraction. Over 300 guests attended the most playful bar in Las Vegas, taking to the leaderboards throughout the night, competing for high scores, enjoying the variety of theatrical cocktails Play Playground has to offer and more.
Fellow Luxor superstars Blue Man Group stopped by the party, taking part in games like Cactus Actus. Shortly after, the cast of the show FANTASY joined their new neighbors to enjoy the party before their performance. Guests from across Las Vegas were welcomed in, including Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Deryk Engelland.
“At Play Playground, our mission is to unite everyone in the joy of play, and tonight’s celebration nailed the whimsical and fun atmosphere we envisioned,” shared Jennifer Worthington, co-founder of Play Social Inc. “Seeing all the high fives and smiles during this event was particularly special, as many of our guests played a direct role in bringing this concept to life.”
The 15,000-square-foot adult playground is home to 20 larger-than-life tactile games and attractions designed to transport adults back to their carefree childhoods. There are no VR, AR or arcade games in this first-of-its-kind attraction. Play Playground offers something for everybody, with over-the-top physical games, memory games, puzzle games and team games all in a magical, high-energy environment created for friendly competition and sharing on social media as players scale the leaderboard.
Ticket pricing starts at $37, allowing guests to experience each game in the Playground. Additional credits can be purchased onsite, so the fun never has to end. Play Playground is open Sunday through Thursday from 12pm – 12am and Friday and Saturday from 12pm – 2am.
