South Point Arena, Beasley Broadcasting and On The Edge Promotions Host Inaugural Art & Ink Festival Featuring Junefest

June 28 – 30

The worlds of tattoo artistry and old-school rock ‘n’ roll will combine this June as The South Point Arena, in partnership with Beasley Broadcasting and On The Edge Promotions, will host the inaugural Art & Ink Festival featuring Junefest June 28 – 30.

During the Art & Ink Festival, The South Point Arena will become a world of ink as it transforms into a maze of the top tattoo artists in the business from local ink slingers to international talents. The two festivals will combine to create one long party-filled weekend of the most dynamite collection of talent in one place. Fans can enjoy classic car shows, live music, burlesque performances, art shows, pin-up fashion and of course a mass of highly-talented tattoo artists.

The weekend will kickoff with a lineup of events hosted by 107.9 BOB FM on Friday, June 28. Fans will experience a day of foot stomping rockabilly with the Stray Cats former double-base player Lee Rocker and former drummer Slim Jim Phantom, featuring the earliest styles of rock ‘n’ roll. Several of the top local food trucks will be in attendance to provide guests with a variety of dining options throughout the day.

The energy will continue as 96.3 KKLZ, a classic hits radio station anchors the action on Saturday, June 29. Headlining the day is KC & the Sunshine Band, one of the most popular party bands of all time. The musical lineup for the day also includes Tommy Tutone and Bobby Kimball, original lead singer of TOTO. In the afternoon, festival-goers have the opportunity to sample a range of craft beers during the Hop Brewfest, featuring a variety of local craft brewers.

Local radio station 105.7 FM The OASIS, a rhythmic adult contemporary format, will sponsor the final day of the festival on Sunday, June 30. Throughout the day, fans can see the best retro cars on the West Coast on display presented by Memory Lane Car Club. To conclude the weekend of culture and lifestyle entertainment, the winners of the classic car show, tattoo art contest and airbrushing event will be announced.

The Art & Ink Festival featuring Junefest will take place Friday from 3 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 11 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. For more event information, please call 702-797-8005 or visit the South Point Event website or LV Art ‘N’ Ink website.
