Children’s Holiday Cooking Class
Chef Megan Romano of Chocolate & Spice Bakery announces her first kids cooking class, inviting young chefs to participate in a cookie-decorating session on Wednesday, December 12 from 4 pm to 5:30 pm. Chef Romano will lead the group through a hands-on class where kids will design holiday sugar cookie cutouts and ginger bread ornaments to take home. The $25 per child event will include tasty treats and refreshments. Children must be 4 years or older, and parents must be present for the duration of the class. Participants will learn how to cook like a pro with hands-on practice as Megan Romano will personally instruct the session. Chef hopefuls will learn how to make gazpacho, brushcetta and chocolate tarts, sampling each item along the way. The $65 per person package will include tasty treats and refreshments, a gift bag, and skills sure to impress.

Executive Chef Geno Bernardo invites aspiring cooks and dining enthusiasts to discover “Italy under the Vegas Sun” during a unique cooking class at Nove Italiano inside Palms Casino Resort at noon on Saturday, June 4.

As guests arrive, they are greeted with refreshing libations created by Mixologist Jack “Sugar” O’Brien. Participants make their way into Nove’s kitchen where Chef Geno demonstrates step-by-step instructions on dishing up a savory five-course meal, featuring authentic dishes reminiscent of various regions in Italy.

After Chef Geno shares his cooking techniques, guests make their way into the Garden Room, offering panoramic views of the famous Strip, where they are served the five-course meal paired with a wide selection of red and white wines. Internationally-acclaimed producer and resident DJ for the weekly “Perfecto Vegas” party at Rain Nightclub, Paul Oakenfold and Executive Chef Geno Bernardo hosted a unique cooking class at Nove Italiano inside Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, April 30.

Before his days behind the DJ booth, Oakenfold was a professional chef in the kitchen, and Oakenfold showed guests he still had it as he used his culinary skills alongside Chef Geno. Guests learned step-by-step instructions on how to make five courses, including signature items from Nove’s menu such as Shrimp Francaise and a British tradition and one of Oakenfold’s favorite, the Sunday Roast. Throughout the class, patrons sipped on the Luxury Drop cocktail, featuring Don Julio and fresh cucumber juice, created by Mixologist Jack “Sugar” O’Brien. Participants indulged in the five courses as they enjoyed the atmosphere in the main dining room. To complete the experience, guests enjoyed savory Apple Pie, created by Executive Pastry Chef Victor Solano.
