This summer, M Resort Spa Casino transcends Las Vegas entertainment with an all-new summer concert series featuring chart-topping talent from around the world. Fans looking to make the most of the summer won’t want to miss GRAMMY-nominated rock sensation Daughtry as the group delivers their acoustic trio show at the M Pool. Additionally, international phenomenon Gary Valenciano with special guest Katrina Velarde, and swing and jazz band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will take over the M Pavilion during what is sure to be an unforgettable concert series. Daughtry, Acoustic Trio Show at M Pool

Saturday, May 20, 8 p.m.

GRAMMY-nominated rock band Daughtry will take over the M Pool for a high-powered performance on Saturday, May 20. Best known for their self-titled debut album, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 before going quadruple platinum, Daughtry will deliver the inaugural performance of the resort’s summer concert series. M Resort pre-sale tickets are $25 and will be available from noon-2 p.m. while supplies last. General admission tickets are $45 and doors open at 7 p.m.

 

Gary Valenciano with Special Guest Katrina Velarde at M Pavilion 

Saturday, May 27, 8 p.m.

Filipino musician Gary Valenciano will perform a playlist of his top hits, including “Di Bale Na Lang” (Never Mind), “Eto Na Naman” (Here We Go Again) and his collaboration with Katrina Velarde, “He’s Enough,” during a dynamic performance at M Pavilion. In addition to his musical career, releasing more than 20 albums, Valenciano is a philanthropist having served as the UNICEF Philippines Ambassador since 1997. Tickets start at $55 and doors open at 7 p.m.

 

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at M Pavilion

Saturday, June 24, 8 p.m.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will bring their celebration of swing and jazz music to the M Pavilion on Saturday, June 24. Famously named after an autograph by blues legend Albert Collins, the band has been together for 24 years and produced 10 records featuring their signature sound of classic jazz, swing and Dixieland mixed with the energy and spirit of contemporary culture. Tickets begin at $35 and doors open at 7p.m.

Swing revival group, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, will bring its trademark sound to The Orleans Showroom Dec. 29-30.

Following the paths of big band leaders like Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s brassy, upbeat sound has been embraced by fans nostalgic for the music of their youth, as well as legions of new fans enamored by the elegance and sophistication of the Big Band era.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy arrived on the music scene in 1993 with its legendary residency at the Brown Derby Nightclub in Los Angeles. In 1996, the band rocketed to fame after performing “You & Me and the Bottle Makes Three (Tonight)” and “Go Daddy-O” in the hit movie “Swingers” starring Vince Vaughn.

Since then, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s music has been featured in countless films and television shows including “Despicable Me” and “Family Guy.” It has also been used for Olympic gymnastic and figure skating routines, including Carly Patterson’s 2004 gold medal gymnastics routine. The group has performed at high-profile events such as the Billboard Music Awards, the Super Bowl XXXIII halftime show and the White House.

The band has also performed on numerous television shows including “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Live with Regis” and “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.” To date, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has released 10 studio albums, including 2013’s holiday-themed “It Feels Like Christmas Time.”

Krewe of Orpheus will also feature Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and The Party Crashers

 The 2014 Krewe of Orpheus signature black tie event, Orpheuscapade expects record crowds. With more than 5,000 performances, 20 million records sold, 29 movie soundtracks and 40 gold and platinum recording awards classic American rockers, Cheap Trick will headline the night’s festivities. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and The Party Crashers, both Orpheuscapade crowd favorites, will also return.

“This group of diverse entertainers offers something for everyone,” said Krewe Captain Sonny Borey, “plus, we are confident these high-energy bands will electrify the Convention Center on Lundi Gras.”

Borey also noted there are more exciting announcements coming soon when the Krewe releases the names of their celebrity monarchs on Monday, December 23, 2013.
