Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada Earned Simple Meals Badge at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria in Boca Park

Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada Earned “Simple Meals Badge”
at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria in Boca Park

Girls toured Grimaldi’s Pizzeria on Oct. 20

Girl Scouts visited Grimaldi’s Pizzeria on Saturday, Oct. 20 and earned their Simple Meals Badge. The girls ranging from fourth to fifth grades participated in different workshops to earn their badge including: learning to toss pizza like a pro, prepping their own pizza and stuffing cannoli’s.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, famously known for its award-winning, hand-tossed, coal-fired brick oven pizzas and calzones, is an institution that keeps with tradition using coal-fired ovens to deliver true crispy and smoky thin crust pies and calzones to Las Vegas.

Girl Scouts Kayla Corias and Shelby Hensley learn how to stuff cannoli’s at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria in Boca Park Fashion Village on Saturday, Oct 20. The girls visited Grimaldi’s to earn their Simple Meals Badge.

The Girl Scouts pictured with Carl Zwick, manager of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria in Boca Park Fashion Village and Isaias Ramirez, kitchen manager earned their Simple Meals Badge on Saturday Oct. 20 at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria.

About Grimaldi’s Pizzeria:
In the world of pizza, Grimaldi’s is an institution that has garnered more awards than any other pizzeria in the country with more celebrity sightings than most 5-star restaurants. Using only the freshest ingredients, a “secret recipe” pizza sauce, handmade mozzarella cheese and dough, Grimaldi’s serves traditional pizza (as it began in Naples, Italy) in an upscale yet casual, family oriented pizzeria. The intense heat of the oven evenly bakes the pies to create Grimaldi’s famous crispy and smoky thin crust that Zagat has voted best pizza year after year.

Resort purchases cookies to be donated to military

Silverton Casino Hotel made a donation to the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada for cookies to be donated to the Red Horse Squadron out of gratitude for their commitment to the country.

A group of girl scouts were presented with the check yesterday by Silverton team members. Silverton is very excited and humbled to be a part of such a momentous project putting smiles on the faces of the men and women who are devoting their time and talents to the well-being of our country.

These are the mobile squadrons made up of self-sufficient men and women who are prepared at anytime to assist in high-threat areas anywhere around the world. Now that the cookies have been purchased, cases full of the treats will be sent to the Red Horse Squadron away from home in the hopes of making their day a little brighter.
