GRAMMY-nominated guitarist, singer and songwriter, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band will take over the 3rd Street Stage at Fremont Street Experience (vegasexperience.com) for an astounding full-length performance on Saturday, Sept. 14. Beginning at 9 p.m., music fans of all ages can gather under the iconic Viva Vison canopy as the modern musical vanguards perform iconic hits including “Blue on Black,” “Lay It Down,” “Deja Voodoo” and “Woman Like You.”

With over 20 years in his recording career, Kenny Wayne Shepherd established himself as a recording artist at the age of 16 when he signed his first record deal and released his debut album Ledbetter Heights, which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard Top Blues Albums. After delivering four more albums, Shepherd released his long-awaited first live album, Live! In Chicago, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Blues chart and featured guest appearances by legendary blues artists including Hubert Sumlin, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith and Bryan Lee. Shepherd has since released his eighth studio album, Lay It Down, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Blues and spent seven weeks at the top of the charts. Continuing to make a name for himself in the music industry, Kenny Wayne Shepherd teamed up with Noah Hunt, Chris “Whipper” Layton, Kevin McCormick and Joe Krown to form the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band will bring their chart-topping, blues-infused hits to The Orleans Showroom March 10 and 11.

Band namesake Kenny Wayne Shepherd began his career at a young age, sharing the stage with New Orleans legend Bryan Lee at just 13 years old. He has been recognized as one of the top blues guitarists of all time by Guitar World magazine, along with legends B.B. King and Eric Clapton.

The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band made its debut with “Ledbetter Heights” in 1995, which quickly rose to the top of the Billboard blues chart. The band followed up with “Trouble Is…”, which also reached the top of the blues charts and featured “Blue on Black,” a single that spent 17 consecutive weeks at #1 on the rock charts.

In total, the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band has released eight albums, including the 2014 release “Goin’ Home,” which hit #1 on the Billboard Blues charts.

During his career, Shepherd has received five Grammy nominations, two Billboard Music Awards, a pair of Orville H. Gibson awards, the Blues Foundation’s Keeping The Blues Alive award and two Blues Music awards. He has released six #1 blues albums and a string of #1 mainstream rock singles.
