The fifth annual St. Jude Against All Odds” charity poker tournament will take place at 5p.m. on Saturday, March 2, in the Charleston Ballroom located at the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada


The event raises awareness and funding for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Events like this help ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Auction proceeds to benefit community members through The Burn Survivor Initiative


Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation will host its 17th Annual Firefighter Bachelor Auction on Friday, June 9 from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. at The Foundry at SLS Las Vegas, with a special opening performance by male revue troupe, Aussie Heat.

Southern Nevada’s hottest and most eligible firefighter bachelors will be auctioned off to members of the community during the 17th Annual Firefighter Bachelor Auction. Bachelors will be paired with prize packages including premier hotel stays, a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Las Vegas show tickets, Sundance helicopter tours, golf experiences, spa treatments and much more. All proceeds from the auction will benefit individuals in the community through The Burn Survivor Initiative, a program that provides medical and emotional assistance to local burn survivors following a traumatic experience.

“This event is like no other event we put on. The Firefighter Bachelor Auction is such a fun way to bring the community together for good time benefiting a great cause,” said Nate Pechacek, president of the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation. “We’re changing things up this year and have a few surprises for our guests. We hope to continue with tradition and keep breaking our fundraising goals.”

Richest Tournament in Outdoor History will award over $50,000 in prize money

Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower joins World Outdoor Racquetball, World Players of Handball and the National Paddleball Association to bring the richest tournament in outdoor racquet sports to the Las Vegas Strip. Players and fans of racquetball, handball and paddleball can get their fill during this four-day tournament featuring free viewing of the top ranked professionals, from around the globe, competing in a multitude of exciting divisions. Amateur men, women and junior players will also battle it out for world titles in their respective classes. It is the only organized event that combines professionals and amateurs from all three court-sports into one high-profile world championship; Professionals will battle for prize money totaling over $50,000.

The 2nd Annual Poker Tournament Fundraiser
To Benefit the Clark County Museum Guild

The Duke of Fremont Street, an internationally known poker legend, will again host the “Pinstripes & Polka Dots” fundraiser poker tournament and silent auction at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, on Friday, October 26, 2012, doors opening at 6 p.m. and “cards in the air” at 8 p.m. The event will benefit the Clark County Museum Guild, which supports the preservation of Southern Nevada history and culture at the Clark County Museum.

The poker tournament, held in the Golden Nugget Ballroom, is sponsored by the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop, Marker Boat & Mini Storage, the Golden Nugget, Poker Gives, LV Coin, LLC, AAA Coin & Jewelry, Light Metal Exchange, LLC, and many more local merchants. It is open to the public and will include a celebrity Bounty “Hit List” featuring professional poker players – World Series Of Poker Champion Tom McEvoy, “JJ” Liu, Sam O’Connor, Roberto Mercer, Karina & Chip Jett, and Aaron Michaljevich; local celebrities – Vinnie Favorito, Howie Locke, and Robert Nash; sports great – Michael Brown; and well known TV personalities –the “Pawn Stars” with Mark Hall-Patton. The buy-in for the tournament is $100 with unlimited $20 re-buys for the first hour. The last ten players standing will receive compensation in the form of prizes with the final three playing for a purse of $1000.
