Legendary chef expands into local community with first off-Strip location
Wolfgang Puck, the world-renowned chef and restaurateur credited for igniting the dining revolution in Las Vegas, is changing the face of Vegas dining once again with the opening of his first off-Strip restaurant, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin. Now open daily for lunch and dinner, the restaurant showcases the master chef’s elevated take on the classic American bar & grill.
“When I, along with my managing partners Tom Kaplan and David Robins, first came to Las Vegas in 1992 for the opening of Spago, we quickly rooted ourselves in the city,” said Wolfgang Puck. “It has always been important for us to become a part of the community in any location in which we operate. It’s exciting we now have a restaurant in the neighborhood, which is something we have been interested in for quite some time while we searched for the right partner and location. We look forward to seeing many familiar faces and hopefully new faces too!”
The restaurant’s approachable, casual lunch and dinner menus, led by Executive Chef Mark Andelbradt, feature Puck’s signature comfort food. The seasonally driven menu is designed to accommodate a variety of occasions, from swift business lunches with colleagues to leisurely meals with family and friends or the perfect celebratory or date-night destination.
The menu offers a variety of healthy salads, handmade pastas and pizzas from the wood-burning oven, grilled poultry, steaks and seafood plus a daily rotating list of chef specials. Menu items include the DTS Chopped Salad with market vegetables, crunchy quinoa and champagne-herb vinaigrette; Rock Shrimp Pizza with spicy tomato sauce, spinach and red onion; WP Private Label Burger with aged cheddar, red onion marmalade and bacon aioli; Rotisserie Free Range Half Chicken with potato puree; Scottish Salmon with white bean ragout and arugula-shaved fennel salad; and Mesquite Grilled Filet Mignon with Lyonnaise potatoes and herb compound butter.
The daily specials include Sunday’s Fried Chicken and Cheddar Waffle with black pepper syrup; Tuesday’s “Mojo” Pork Carnitas Tacos with salsa verde and pickled onion; and Wednesday’s Whole Roasted Sea Bass with garlic spinach, just to name a few.
The extensive children’s menu, complete with dishes named after the children of Wolfgang, the managing partners and directors, is complete with healthy and enticing options perfect for toddlers to tweens.
To complement the dining experience, the restaurant features a full-service bar with an extensive selection of classic and artisanal cocktails, craft beers and fine wines at friendly prices including Red Sangria at $6 per glass, wines by the glass ranging from $6 to $14 and beers starting at $5.
The 200-seat restaurant provides a warm and casual environment in a beautiful setting designed by EDG, who also created Spago at The Forum Shops, Spago at the Four Seasons Maui plus additional Wolfgang Puck restaurants around the country. The design takes inspiration from Austin, San Francisco and Santa Monica, capturing the energetic yet relaxed lifestyle of each city, which is so much a part of Wolfgang Puck. The rustic colors and materials pay homage to the surrounding desert beauty and towering red cliffs of Las Vegas’ Red Rock Canyon. The restaurant overlooks a beautiful park and courtyard and includes two open and airy patio seating areas.
The restaurant features private dining space, as well as a variety of options for events small and large. The team offers personalized service and attention to deliver unforgettable events and private functions for exceptional adult and children celebrations.
Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin is open daily, Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
