Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Downtown Summerlin is excited to announce they are adding to their Las Vegas Golden Knights-themed offerings at its neighborhood location. Hot off the launch of the first dessert at Spago Las Vegas inside Bellagio Resort & Casino, Wolfgang Puck will continue the support for the Western Conference champions and Stanley Cup finalists with the addition of the Golden Knights chocolate puck at the Summerlin location. The Instagram-worthy puck will hit the ice starting today.

Sitting across from City National Area, the Golden Knights training facility, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is happy to continue to root them into victory by providing fans with fun unique offerings. The puck shaped treat, created by Corporate Executive Pastry Chef of Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group Kamel Guechida, is a chocolate flourless cake filled with a hazelnut crunch and caramel sauce, and plays for the perfect item to round out your meal while watching the Knights take the win. The delicious dessert now adds to the list of Golden Knights-inspired dishes, as the eatery launched the Vegas Golden Knights Pizza (shrimp, basil pesto, fresh mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, red onions, and jalapeños) last season, which defenseman Nate Schmidt helped create into perfection.

The Grill Gathering Series at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill Downtown Summerlin is a unique and fun dinner series featuring a selection of themed eats and libation pairings, inspired by Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group’s impressive roster of chefs.

DETAILS:
On Tuesday, Oct. 23, The Grill Gathering Series will feature its take on a New England Style Clambake as it’s second dinner of the series. Chef De Cuisine Daniel Stramm (Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin) and Executive Chef Matt Hurley (CUT at The Palazzo) have partnered to bring the well-known taste from the famous Strip restaurant to the neighborhood-oriented spot in Summerlin.

Guests will have the opportunity to experience a traditional clambake in a unique interactive setting. Kicking off at 6 p.m. with welcome appetizers, guests will then be given the opportunity to walk around to different stations and indulge in a number of traditional items including New England Clam Chowder, Steamed Main Lobster, Whoopie Pies, and more alongside expertly selected beer pairings provided by famed brewery Sierra Nevada. Adding to the excitement, Chef Stramm and Hurley will be onsite to mix and mingle with guests as they learn about the dishes and beer pairings throughout the night. Set to debut its first installment on Tuesday, Sept. 25, The Grill Gathering Series: Beer & BBQ will allow guests to come together as community to enjoy classic BBQ favorites paired with refreshing brews from local, family-owned Lovelady Brewing Company from Henderson, NV. Chef De Cuisine Tim Duda (Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin) and Dylan Hallas (Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at MGM Grand Las Vegas) will partner to create a forward-thinking family-style feast allowing guests to explore a variety of Southern-inspired cuisine, all expertly matched with six signature beers from Lovelady Brewing – complete with plenty of raffle giveaways. Football season is back and at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin is in on the action. During all games aired on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays, all pizzas (with the exception of the Smoked Salmon pizza) will be half price. In addition, the restaurant has introduced $5, 16 oz. drafts of Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest to enjoy while you’re cheering on your favorite team. Be sure to try the new fall pizza – Fig & Prosciutto with fresh arugula and aged balsamic drizzle ($19sm/$29lg).

 

The restaurant has also rolled out new lunch and dinner menus. Some highlights include the:

  • Endive Salad with bleu cheese, candied walnuts and shaved apple in a house made vinaigrette ($15) and the Bacon Burger, a new fan favorite, prepared with lettuce, tomato, bleu cheese, thick cut bacon and bacon aioli ($16).

 

Bar & Grill has also added 10 new offerings to its kids’ menu. Along with traditional bites, the restaurant will present more refined plates for the young adventurous eaters at heart.

  • Chilled Edamame ($3), Crispy Calamari ($7), Sautéed Salmon and spinach ($12), and Grilled Steak with broccolini ($15), are some of the new additions that will be sure to please your little tots’ palates.

  • Japanese Cheesecake ($15): Producing a light and airy texture that’s a hybrid between cheese and sponge cake, this dessert is served with pickled strawberries, sweetened condensed milk and a lime-shiso granita. The finishing touch is a merengue crisp that completes the trifecta of textures that will leave you coming back for more!

 

  • Mango Yogurt Popsicle ($8): Let this new Rough CUTS dessert make it easier for you to kiss summer goodbye with its tropical notes and cooling textures. Beginning with a mango-yogurt popsicle, it joins tropical fruit compote and finished with a cilantro lime gel.

 

  • Hazelnut Churros ($8): A sweet treat that’s always a crowd pleaser goes to this Rough CUTS churro arrangement. Complete with house made Cajeta and toasted hazelnuts, enjoy it now for a limited time!

RECAP: Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill Closes Out “Summer of Beer” with Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. – 8.8.17

Last night (Tuesday, August 8), Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin hosted its final “Summer of Beer” event, the last of its three-part dinner series with beer partner Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (SNBC) The evening introduced guests to the brewery’s seasonal selections expertly matched with Maryland native Executive Chef Spencer Rudow’s traditional crab spread with Summertime accompaniments.

 

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. guests were presented with welcome appetizers paired with Tropical Torpedo® IPA as they were shown to the dining room to take their seat. The first course of Heirloom tomato caprese with Burrata, basil pesto, aged balsamic was served set to the pairing of SNBC’s Ovila® Abbey White. Guests were given traditional crab crushing mallets and themed bibs to partake in the feasting tradition as course two gave way to the highly anticipated main, Steamed Maryland crabs, Steamed peel-n-eat shrimp, Corn on the cob and Roasted red potatoes all set to the refreshing Otra Vez™ gose-style ale and Summerfest® crisp lager selections. Last but not least was the dessert course highlighting a Key lime pie bar paired with SNBC’s a blend of tropical and citrus hop notes, Hoptiumum® Triple IPA.

 

As the event concluded just after 8:30 p.m., a customary pint glass from the brewer was presented to each attendee as a coveted take home gift.

Lupo Looks to Italy’s Umbria Region for June’s Friday Feast Menu

Executive Chef Michael Tiva will transport guests to the flavors of Italy’s Umbria region. Each Friday throughout the month of June beginning Friday, June 2, the Friday Feast menu will present five dishes inspired by region as well as the aged meats that the area is known for. Highlights include Stringozzi alla Spolentina, a tagliatelle-style pasta, prepared tableside for two, with Italian peppers and plum tomatoes and Porchetta e Salsa Verde, roasted pork with charred spigarellos and topped with salsa verde. The Friday Feast menu is a la carte with plates starting at $12.

Top Sommeliers to go Head-to-Head in Ultimate Wine Competition February, March and April Dates

 

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is excited to bring back its highly-anticipated Sommelier Smackdown for a competition that will shake up Downtown Summerlin for the second time around. The restaurant will welcome some of Las Vegas’ best sommeliers to go head-to-head with their expert wine selections paired with three delicious courses by Executive Chef Spencer Rudow.

 

Set to compete to win your palate approval, the fate of the winning sommelier is left up to the guests, as they vote round by round, choosing their favorite pairing per course. Winning sommeliers of Round 1 and 2 will be invited back Tuesday, April 4 to compete in The Main Event for a chance to win ultimate bragging rights and a definitive championship prize.

Legendary chef expands into local community with first off-Strip location 

 

Wolfgang Puck, the world-renowned chef and restaurateur credited for igniting the dining revolution in Las Vegas, is changing the face of Vegas dining once again with the opening of his first off-Strip restaurant, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin.  Now open daily for lunch and dinner, the restaurant showcases the master chef’s elevated take on the classic American bar & grill.

 

“When I, along with my managing partners Tom Kaplan and David Robins, first came to Las Vegas in 1992 for the opening of Spago, we quickly rooted ourselves in the city,” said Wolfgang Puck.  “It has always been important for us to become a part of the community in any location in which we operate.  It’s exciting we now have a restaurant in the neighborhood, which is something we have been interested in for quite some time while we searched for the right partner and location.  We look forward to seeing many familiar faces and hopefully new faces too!”

The restaurant’s approachable, casual lunch and dinner menus, led by Executive Chef Mark Andelbradt, feature Puck’s signature comfort food.  The seasonally driven menu is designed to accommodate a variety of occasions, from swift business lunches with colleagues to leisurely meals with family and friends or the perfect celebratory or date-night destination.

The menu offers a variety of healthy salads, handmade pastas and pizzas from the wood-burning oven, grilled poultry, steaks and seafood plus a daily rotating list of chef specials.  Menu items include the DTS Chopped Salad with market vegetables, crunchy quinoa and champagne-herb vinaigrette; Rock Shrimp Pizza with spicy tomato sauce, spinach and red onion; WP Private Label Burger with aged cheddar, red onion marmalade and bacon aioli; Rotisserie Free Range Half Chicken with potato puree; Scottish Salmon with white bean ragout and arugula-shaved fennel salad; and Mesquite Grilled Filet Mignon with Lyonnaise potatoes and herb compound butter.

The daily specials include Sunday’s Fried Chicken and Cheddar Waffle with black pepper syrup; Tuesday’s “Mojo” Pork Carnitas Tacos with salsa verde and pickled onion; and Wednesday’s Whole Roasted Sea Bass with garlic spinach, just to name a few.

The extensive children’s menu, complete with dishes named after the children of Wolfgang, the managing partners and directors, is complete with healthy and enticing options perfect for toddlers to tweens.

To complement the dining experience, the restaurant features a full-service bar with an extensive selection of classic and artisanal cocktails, craft beers and fine wines at friendly prices including Red Sangria at $6 per glass, wines by the glass ranging from $6 to $14 and beers starting at $5.

Wolfgang Puck is heading West…to the westside of Las Vegas! Twenty two years ago, Wolfgang Puck took a gamble on Las Vegas by bringing his famed Los Angeles restaurant Spago to The Strip. The gamble paid off, and the legendary chef is credited with igniting the fine dining revolution in Las Vegas that began in 1992 and continues today. After bringing five additional signature Strip restaurants to Las Vegas, Wolfgang and his Fine Dining Group will again venture into new territory with the opening of Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin, Puck’s first off-Strip restaurant.

“I am so fortunate that guests have embraced and welcomed us as part of the Las Vegas community for more than two decades,” said Wolfgang Puck. “We have such strong loyalty from locals who have been, and continue to be, a driving force behind the success of our six Strip restaurants. Opening this fall, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill will showcase the master chef’s contemporary version on the classic, American bar & grill.
