Life is Beautiful is rooted in positivity, unity, inspiration and empowerment. Every September, thousands of inspired “creators” from all over the world come together for the three-day festival centered in music, art, taste and ideas. Eighteen blocks in Downtown Las Vegas are transformed into an open-air art gallery and a place of discovery, cementing imagination and initiative into our DNA. That gathering, by its very nature, becomes a platform in which positivity prevails, culture and creativity thrive and transformation occurs.
Now in its sixth year, Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival (September 21-23, 2018) features marquee musicians, chefs, artists and speakers. Named “Music Festival of the Year” by Pollstar in 2017, Life is Beautiful attracted more than 175,000 attendees at last year’s sold out event. Past performers include Kanye West, Muse, J. Cole, Stevie Wonder, Foo Fighters, Major Lazer, Lionel Richie, Chance the Rapper, Gorillaz, Lorde, Blink-182 and many more, along with inspiring talks from powerful thought leaders such as Bill Nye, RuPaul and Pussy Riot. Globally recognized artists including Shepard Fairey, Banksy, Fafi and D*Face, to name a few, have permanently revolutionized the streets of Downtown Las Vegas. Born on August 5 at the Secret Garden to mother Indira and father Svengali, these are the first tiger cubs to be introduced at The Mirage in five years. Animal lovers from around the world will be able to watch and follow the cubs’ journey using the Twitter and Instagram handle @SARMOTIcubs and on Facebook at Facebook.com/SARMOTIcubs.
“Our newest ‘Ambassadors of Conservation’ play an important role in our never-ending quest to protect these animals,” said Roy. “It is imperative to continue our conservation efforts to save these magnificent tigers for future generations to enjoy and cherish.”
“It is always exciting to welcome new members to our family at The Mirage,” said Siegfried. “We are pleased to introduce these magical creatures to the world to relish in their beauty and are thrilled that people across the world can watch the cubs grow and learn on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.”
Starting September 12, the siblings will be available for guests to see and range in color: Liberty, a pure white female; Maharani, a striped white female; Hirah, a striped golden female and Justice, a light golden boy. The new clan has been dubbed the #SARMOTIcubs after the world-renowned magicians’ SARMOTI Foundation, which is dedicated to protect, conserve and preserve endangered and threatened animals globally, with particular focus on the big cats: tigers, lions, cheetahs, panthers and leopards.
The cubs will be available to view in a specially-designed nursery starting at noon daily.
“Without Siegfried & Roy’s conservation efforts, we would not be able to offer guests of The Mirage this unique and informative experience,” said Franz Kallao, vice president of hotel operations for The Mirage. “We are excited to welcome these four lovable tiger cubs to their new home at the Secret Garden.”
