Electra Cocktail Club, an Inventive Collision of Energy and Style, Now Open inside The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort

The exhilarating new bar is now serving hand-crafted cocktails in a high-energy environment

Electra Cocktail Club, an inventive collision of energy and style, is now open at The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Located on the casino floor, Electra completes the trinity that is The Venetian Cocktail Collective, comprised of the sophisticated Dorsey, the romantic Rosina and now, the kinetic Electra.

Guests are invited to take in Electra’s high-energy and style that incorporates an intoxicating use of luxurious materials such as brass, granite, etched metals, custom wall coverings and a chandelier with more than 1,200 points of light, offset by deep teal accents throughout the space.

A digital display spanning 40 feet serves as a focal point for Electra’s guests, featuring original art in a mind-blowing 70 million pixels and more than one billion colors. This visual canvas, the highest resolution video display in Las Vegas, features a curated selection of art providing story lines that unfold throughout the evening.

Rotating content themes include Neon Swell, where the human form is shaped and contoured into stunning beautiful terrains that mimic photographic landscapes, and Lights Out, where lightbulbs of varying shapes and colors hang upside down in an infinite black space before unexpectedly exploding one-by-one, creating a synergy of beautifully electric color across the screen.

Adding to the energetic atmosphere, the music at Electra is a celebration of all genres of rock from old and modern to indie and synth mixed with current hip hop. The playlist includes tracks from artists such as David Bowie, N.E.R.D., Cardi B, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, G-Eazy, The Talking Heads, Drake, Cage The Elephant, Portugal. The Man, The Rolling Stones and more.

The newest bar to open at The Venetian Resort showcases a diverse selection of spirits with a focus on rums, agricoles, and mezcals. Like the menus at The Dorsey and Rosina, Electra’s offerings were conceived by noted barman Sam Ross and feature cocktails that are both imaginative and playful with a bend toward the tropical.

The Electra Cocktail Club is open nightly from 4 p.m. until 3 a.m. For reservations or more information on Electra, call 702.607.1950 or visit palazzo.com. Guests looking to book a large party or group can email electra@sands.com.

Don McLean Readies ‘Botanical Gardens’ For March 23 Release; Legendary Songwriter To Be Honored In His Hometown; NYC & UK Media Appearances & More!

DON MCLEAN SET TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM BOTANICAL GARDENS MARCH 23

Don’s hometown of New Rochelle, New York set to honor Don on March 21, along with an appearance on BBC’s Breakfast News March 15 with more BBC Radio interviews this week and major media appearances scheduled in New York City March 21 & 22.

Iconic American singer, songwriter and performer Don McLean is set to release his new album Botanical Gardens on March 23, 2018 via BMG.

Don is set to appear on BBC Breakfast Thursday, March 15 along with multiple BBC radio stations and Absolute Radio in the U.K.

“Greetings from London where we are promoting my new album ‘Botanical Gardens’, said McLean. “The reception has been wonderful and I look forward to coming to New York next, where we will perform at City Winery on Friday the 23rd! I think this new album will do very well. Take a listen to “Ain’t She a Honey” and “Total Eclipse of The Sun” – I hope it will be something people like.”

Don is profiled in a new episode of Heartland TV’s More Than The Music airing Tuesday, March 20 at 8:00pm ET/PT as well as Heartland’s Roku channel and online at watchheartlandtv.com, with an encore viewing Sunday, March 25 at 8:00pm ET/PT.

On March 21, Don’s hometown of New Rochelle, New York will have its own piece of “American Pie” when the world-renowned singer and songwriter will dedicate his existing plaque at the city’s Walk of Fame in Ruby Dee Park at Library Green. The ceremony is open to the public, beginning at 4 PM, and will be hosted by Jennifer Lanser, Executive Director of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce. Later that evening the city will honor McLean with a Lifetime Achievement Award at their annual Dinner Dance and Awards ceremony at 7pm. For more information or to RSVP, contact the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce at info@newrochamber.org, infonewrochamber@gmail.com, call 914-632-5700 or visit newrochellechamber.org.

Don then returns to New York City with appearances scheduled at ABC News Radio, WABC’s Bernie & Sid, iHeart/Premiere Radio Networks, Fox News Radio, United Stations, LifeMinute, and more, ending the week with a performance at City Winery Friday, March 23.

With over 40 gold and platinum records worldwide, his prowess for writing timeless songs is once again captured on Botanical Gardens, as he artfully weaves country, Americana, folk, and boot stomping rock for an eclectic, yet American sound that he is known for.

Botanical Gardens, his 19th studio album and first in 8 years, is arguably one of Don’s most reflective to date. As he characterizes it, “The inspiration for the project started years ago when I would walk in the beautiful gardens in Sydney, Australia near the Opera House. I would dream young dreams and it was a comfort and an inspiration. I was always young inside, like we all are, and I felt it again there.” Further reflecting on the record, Don says, “the whole album really revolves around the title song. Later on I realized that the gardens are really a metaphorical heaven, and there’s a kind of death and rebirth.

Intimacy can be found at the heart of this record, with Don penning personal numbers looking back on a life well-lived, as well as his observations on youth and love. Recording at Watershed Studios in Nashville also allowed a different kind of intimacy for Don and his band, as they were made to “play close and feel the music”, resulting in a raw, yet tight sound throughout.

In nearly 50 years, Don’s songs have become an iconic staple of American music. His music has been performed by artists as diverse as Elvis Presley, Madonna, Fred Astaire, Drake, James Blake, Ellie Goulding, Chet Atkins, Garth Brooks, Weird Al Yankovic, George Michael, Josh Groban, Coolio and Ed Sheeran.

Twenty One Pilots received the third most nominations, at 17, including Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, and three nominations in the Top Rock Song category.

Rihanna received the fourth most nominations, 14, including Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album and a double nomination for Top R&B Song. Returning winners from 2016, who also received nominations this year, include Adele, Justin Bieber, Luke Bryan, Lauren Daigle, Drake, Kirk Franklin, Enrique Iglesias, Nicky Jam, Wiz Khalifa, Major Lazer, Rihanna, Chris Stapleton, The Weeknd, Twenty One Pilots and more.

2017 TOP NOMINEE CHART FACTS:

  • In the past year, the chart-ruling Beyoncé notched her sixth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Lemonade and earned eight top 40-charting songs from the set on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Lemonade also made the diva the first woman to debut at No. 1 with her first six full-length studio albums. In support of Lemonade, the entertainer mounted the Formation World Tour, which played to more than 2.2 million fans at 49 shows, and earned $256 million according to Billboard Boxscore. Beyoncé is a six-time Billboard Music Award winner, and was also was honored with the Billboard Millennium Award in 2011.
  • 15-time Billboard Music Award winner Justin Bieber continued an illustrious run of success since releasing his No. 1 Billboard 200 album Purpose, which generated his first three Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles: “What Do You Mean?,” “Sorry” and “Love Yourself.” He added two more top five Hot 100 hits in 2016, as his vocals helped Major Lazer’s “Cold Water” and DJ Snake’s “Let Me Love You” reach Nos. 2 and 4, respectively. The former also crowned Billboard‘s Pop Songs and Hot Dance/Electronic Songs charts, all while Purpose continued its domination: it has spent more than 70 weeks on the chart, Bieber’s longest run on the list since his since 2010 LP, My World 2.0.
  • EDM DJ duo The Chainsmokers surged to the mainstream with a string of smash singles over the past year. The pair notched their first top five Billboard Hot 100 hit in summer 2016, “Don’t Let Me Down,” featuring rising star Daya. After that, The Chainsmokers followed with their first No. 1, the 12-week leader “Closer,” featuring Halsey. The nostalgic song logged the longest reign atop the Hot 100 of 2016 and went on to historic heights, breaking the mark for the most weeks (27) tallied in the top five for any song in the Hot 100’s 59-year history.
  • Breakout rapper Desiigner’s viral hit “Panda” exploded in 2016, on its way to a record-setting 14 weeks at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart and 17 weeks atop Hot Rap Songs. It also clocked two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song’s success helped the Brooklyn native earn several year-end honors, including the top new R&B/hip-hop artist of 2016.
  • Everything Drake touched turned to chart gold in the past year. The artist claimed his first No. 1 as a lead act on the Billboard Hot 100 with “One Dance,” featuring WizKid and Kyla; his Views album racked up 13 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (the longest run atop the list for a man since 1992); and his recent More Life project bowed atop the list in April. The latter set granted Drake his seventh consecutive No. 1 on the list, comprising every one of his full-length albums. Additionally, More Life blasted in atop the chart with a record number of streams for its songs in a single week: 384.8 million in the U.S.

  • Since soaring onto Billboard‘s country charts in 2012, Florida Georgia Line has continued to conquer with its mix of party anthems and reflective ballads. Dig Your Roots arrived as the duo’s third No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and the set spun off FGL’s fifth No. 1 single on Hot Country Songs, the 18-week leader “H.O.L.Y.” (as well as follow-up hits featuring Tim McGraw and Backstreet Boys). The act boasts two of three longest-reigning No. 1s in the Hot Country Songs chart’s six-decade history: before “H.O.L.Y.,” its debut hit “Cruise” ruled for a record 24 weeks.
  • 12-time Billboard Music Award winner Rihanna continued a record-setting run with her No. 1 Billboard 200 album Anti. As the set’s “Love on the Brain” reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, she became only the third act in Hot 100 history to earn 30 top 10 hits, following The Beatles (34) and Madonna (38). Another Anti top 10, “Needed Me,” gave the global superstar her longest-charting Hot 100 hit: its 45 weeks surpassed the 41 of “We Found Love,” featuring Calvin Harris in 2011-2012.
  • Two-time Billboard Music Award-winners Twenty One Pilots spent the past year solidifying their domination of Billboard’s rock charts, claiming three long-running No. 1s on the Hot Rock Songs chart. The alternative rock duo’s “Stressed Out” ruled for 23 weeks, “Ride” followed with nine weeks on top, and “Heathens” spent a record 30 weeks at No. 1. All three tracks reached the top five on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart — making Twenty One Pilots the first rock act to earn three top five hits in a year since 1988.
  • After The Weeknd broke through to the pop mainstream in 2015 with his No. 1 Billboard 200 album Beauty Behind the Madness, the eight-time Billboard Music Award winner returned with another chart-topper, Starboy, in 2016. The set ruled the list for five weeks and spun off a No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 in its title track, featuring Daft Punk. The album saw its second single, “I Feel It Coming,” again featuring Daft Punk, reach the top five in early April. Further, The Weeknd charted all 18 songs from Starboy on the Billboard Hot 100 dated Dec. 17, 2016, making him one of only two artists to have charted that many Hot 100 titles from a single album.
Billboard Music Awards nominees are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social engagement. These measurements are tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. The awards are based on the reporting period of March 18, 2016 through March 16, 2017. Since 1940, the Billboard charts have been the go-to guide for ranking the popularity of songs and albums, and are the ultimate measure of success in music.

ABC’s three-hour telecast of the “2016 Billboard Music Awards” drew an average audience of 9.8 million viewers and a 3.2/10 in Adults 18-49 to rank as Sunday’s No. 1 broadcast program. In addition, the awards show was Sunday’s most social program with 1.8 million tweets.

RECAP/ Photos: Drake Performs at Hakkasan Las Vegas Nightclub Friday, Sept. 23

HAKKASAN LAS VEGAS

Friday night (Sept. 23) GRAMMY-Award winner and internationally renowned musician Drake stopped by Hakkasan Las Vegas inside MGM Resort & Casino following his performance at the sold out iHeartRadio Music Festival.

Arriving just before 2:00 a.m., the “Hotline Bling” artist looked handsome dressed in a black t-shirt and black jeans accessorized with a gold chain and white sneakers as he made his way into the packed nightspot where he settled into his VIP booth located on the Main Stage.

The entire room erupted with excitement as the lights dimmed and the “Too Good” artist appeared center stage. Thanking his fans for being there with him, the rapper began performing a number of his chart-topping hits as the packed room danced and sang along. Showing off his best dance moves, Drake put on a memorable performance of his songs “Controlla,” “Work,” “One Dance,” and more.

As he brought his performance to an end, the star thanked his fans again and made his way back to his VIP table. Throughout the evening, the heartthrob appeared to be fully enjoying his time as he danced and mingled with his group. Drake’s presence brought the energy in the nightclub to an unrivaled level throughout the night as guests danced, partied and enjoyed Drake’s signature Virginia Black cocktails, into the early hours of the morning.

Ludacris & Ciara to Host the “2016 Billboard Music Awards” Live from
T-Mobile Arena on SUNDAY, MAY 22nd at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC

With help from the show hosts hip-hop artist and actor Ludacris and international music sensation Ciara, dick clark productions and ABC announced the finalists for the “2016 Billboard Music Awards,” honoring the year’s most successful artists in 43 categories.  The “2016 Billboard Music Awards” will broadcast LIVE from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 22 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC. This year’s show will showcase big performances, unexpected collaborations and much-discussed pop culture moments.  The “2016 Billboard Music Awards” is produced by dick clark productions. Allen Shapiro, Mike Mahan, Mark Bracco, Barry Adelman and Robert Deaton are Executive Producers.

Hosts Ludacris and Ciara appeared in the 8:00 a.m. ET hour of ABC’s “Good Morning America” today, to announce the finalists in six categories, including: Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Female Artist, Top New Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Hot 100 Song. Immediately following the broadcast, five additional categories were exclusively announced live via Billboard Music Award’s Facebook and Periscope, followed by a live stream on ABC News of the remaining categories.

The Weeknd leads the finalist pack with nods in 16 categories including Top Artist, Top Male Artist and Top Hot 100 Song. Justin Bieber follows as a finalist in 11 categories including Top Artist, Top Male Artist and Top Hot 100 Artist. Fetty Wap and Drake are tied with nods in 10 categories each, including Top Male Artist contenders for both musicians. Drake will compete against himself for Top Rap Album for “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” and his collaboration with Future on “What A Time To Be Alive.” Leading the ladies, Adele and Taylor Swift are tied with eight nods each including Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album, all of which Swift won last year. Other returning winners from 2015, who are also finalists this year, include One Direction, Romeo Santos, Coldplay, DJ Snake and Carrie Underwood.

This year, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth are finalists in six categories respectively. They received five each for their hit single “See You Again,” while Wiz Khalifa is also up for Top Rap Artist and Charlie is up for Top New Artist. The late David Bowie is honored posthumously as a finalist for Top Rock Album for “Blackstar.”

2016 TOP FINALIST CHART FACTS:
  • Adele is a finalist in eight categories and is a contender to earn the most BBMA wins of any artist in history, a record currently held by Taylor Swift, with 20 wins. Adele has previously won 13 BBMAs. Swift herself is a finalist in eight 2016 BBMA categories.

  • Justin Bieber is a finalist in 11 categories and could surpass Garth Brooks, who currently is the highest winning male with 19 wins, if he takes home six or more BBMA trophies. If Bieber takes home more than eight trophies, he has the chance of beating Taylor Swift’s current all-time leading record of 20, pending other results.

  • Drake is a finalist in 10 categories. If he wins, he will take home his first BBMA trophy. He has previously been a finalist in 21 categories.

  • First time finalist Fetty Wap is a contender in 10 categories, including Top Male Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artists, Top Rap Artist, Top Streaming Song (Audio) and Top Rap Song.

  • Hillsong UNITED is a finalist in three categories including Top Christian Artist and Top Christian Album.

  • Sam Hunt is a finalist in three categories – the most of any country artist this year — including Top Country Artist and Top Country Album. If he wins, he will take home his first BBMA trophy.
  • First time finalist Silentó is a contender for Top New Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Song, Top Streaming Songs Artist and Top Streaming Song (Video).
  • This year could prove to be historic, in that Taylor Swift could beat her own all-time record for the most BBMA wins (she has 20), while Justin Bieber and Adele are also vying to surpass Swift’s record. Swift is a finalist in eight categories this year, and thus could extend her own record, or can be caught or surpassed by Bieber (an 11 times finalist this year with 13 prior BBMA trophies) or Adele (a finalist in 8 categories this year and also with 13 all-time BBMAs to her name).
  • The Weeknd is a first-time Billboard Music Award finalist and leads all artists with nods in 16 categories (including multiple songs competing in the Top Hot 100 Song and Top R&B Song categories). If he wins, he will take home his first Billboard Music Award trophy. With a near sweep of his 16 categories, The Weeknd could set the record for taking home the most trophies in one night. That single-night mark is held by Adele with 12 trophies in 2012.
  • Thanks to their smash collaboration “See You Again,” Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa are finalists in six categories each, including Top New Artist for Puth, a category won by Khalifa in 2012.
Billboard Music Awards finalists are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music. These measurements are tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. The awards are based on the reporting period of tracking dates March 23, 2015 through March 17, 2016 and Billboard chart dates April 11, 2015 through April 2, 2016.  Since 1940, the Billboard charts have been the go-to guide for ranking the popularity of songs and albums, and are the ultimate measure of a musician’s success.ABC’s three-hour telecast of the “2015 Billboard Music Awards” scored an across-the-board victory, ranking No. 1 in its 8:00-11:00 p.m. time slot in Total Viewers, all key Adults (AD18-34/AD18-49/AD25-54) and Teens 12-17.  Delivering its third-straight year of Total Viewer growth (+5% – 11.2 million vs. 10.7 million) and gaining Adults 18-49 (+9% – 3.8/12 vs. 3.5/10), the “Billboard Music Awards” generated its most watched telecast in 14 years and earned a 12-year high in young adults – since 2001 and 2003, respectively. In addition, the annual show was up for the third year with Teens 12-17 (+3%) to post its highest rating since 2003.

2016 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARD FINALIST STATISTICS

  • 2016 TOP FINALIST CHART FACTS
  • RECORD HOLDERS BY CATEGORY
  • TOP BBMA WINNERS OF ALL TIME (1990 – 2015)

2016 TOP FINALIST CHART FACTS:

  • Adele, a 13-time Billboard Music Award winner, stormed Billboard‘s charts in late 2015 with her blockbuster third studio album, 25, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 3.38 million copies in its first week in the U.S., the largest sales week for an album since Nielsen Music began tracking sales in 1991. The album has already sold more than 8 million copies in America, and is the largest-selling release since Adele’s own previous set, 21. The new album’s lead single, “Hello,” spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the first song to sell more than 1 million downloads in a week.

  • Despite his monster success since his 2009 career launch, 13-time Billboard Music Award winner Justin Bieber soared even higher with the release of his album Purpose in 2015. His sixth No. 1 set on the Billboard 200 generated his first three Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles: “What Do You Mean?” (which debuted on top), “Sorry” and “Love Yourself.” Like The Weeknd, Bieber replaced himself atop the Hot 100 with the latter two songs. Bieber also broke a vaunted Hot 100 record, placing 17 songs on the Dec. 5, 2015 chart, passing the Beatles and Drake for the most titles on the list by an artist in one week.

  • Drake not only earned his fifth consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with What a Time to Be Alive (with Future), but also claimed two chart-toppers in less than a year’s time, as it arrived nearly eight months after his previous No. 1, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. Drake has placed more than 100 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 (one of only four acts to reach that milestone) and scored 15 No. 1s on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, including “Hotline Bling,” “Summer Sixteen,” “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and “The Motto.”

  • Fetty Wap blasted onto Billboard‘s charts in 2015 with three consecutive career-opening top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 (“Trap Queen,” “My Way” and “679”), making him just the third hip-hop act to earn that triple honor since 1990 (joining Chingy and M.C. Hammer). Fetty Wap’s self-titled debut album bowed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spent its first six months lodged in the list’s top 40.

  • Charlie Puth made his Billboard Hot 100 bow in 2015 as the featured vocalist on Wiz Khalifa’s 12-week No. 1 smash “See You Again.” He followed with two more top 25 hits: “Marvin Gaye,” ft. Meghan Trainor, and “One Call Away,” both from his top 10 Billboard 200 debut album, Nine Track Mind.

  • Eighteen-year-old rapper Silentó broke through in 2015 with his viral sensation “Watch Me,” which ruled the Hot Rap Songs chart for nine weeks and the Streaming Songs chart for 10 weeks. The track sold more than 2.3 million downloads and generated 650 million on-demand streams in the U.S.

  • The winner of a record 20 Billboard Music Awards, Taylor Swift has debuted her last four studio albums at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with the last three all selling in excess of 1 million copies each in their first weeks. Combined, they have spent 35 weeks at No. 1. The country-turned-pop superstar has charted more than 60 entries on the Billboard Hot 100, including 19 top 10s, with four of those reaching No. 1.

  • WALK THE MOON rocketed to a record with its crossover smash “Shut Up and Dance,” leading the Hot Rock Songs chart for 27 weeks. It also reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in a more-than year-long stay on the chart.

  • When Wiz Khalifa‘s Furious 7 soundtrack hit, “See You Again,” ft. Charlie Puth, spent its 12th (and final) week atop the Billboard Hot 100, it tied a historic mark, matching the most weeks a rap song has ever led the list. The song became the rapper’s second leader, while he’s run up a resume of 30 chart entries since his 2011 arrival with the No. 1 “Black and Yellow.”

Luke Bryan is a three-time Favorite Male Artist – Country winner (2012, 2013, and 2014) and is nominated again this year. Bryan is also nominated as Artist of the Year, his second nomination in that category. This is Bryan’s second appearance on the AMA stage; he first performed in 2013, singing his hit single “That’s My Kind of Night.” Fairchild will take the AMA stage without her band mates for the first time but Little Big Town is nominated for their first American Music Award this year in the category Favorite Duo or Group – Country.

Charlie Puth is nominated for his first American Music Award for Song of the Year and Collaboration of the Year Un-leashed by T-Mobile. This will be Puth’s first performance at the American Music Awards. Meghan Trainor is a four-time American Music Award nominee and first-time performer. This year Trainor is nominated in the categories of Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock and Favorite Artist – Adult Contemporary.

Luke Bryan

Luke Bryan – Since the debut of his first album in 2007, Luke Bryan has placed 14 singles at #1 and sold nearly 8 million albums with 30 million digital tracks from his five studio albums. He has been named Entertainer of the Year by both the Academy of Country Music (twice) and the Country Music Association. Bryan’s recent album Kill The Lights recently debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Top 200 and Top Country Albums charts. This is Bryan’s third consecutive album to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200. Kill The Lights is the third-largest-selling album debut in 2015 at the time of its release, after R&B / hip hop releases from Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Kill The Lights is also the highest country album debut in the last two years, since Bryan’s Crash My Party debuted at #1 in August 2013.

Karen Fairchild

Karen Fairchild (Little Big Town) – GRAMMY Award-winning country super group Little Big Town, comprised of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook, is one of country music’s most iconic foursomes. The multi-Platinum-selling band is currently the reigning ACM and CMA (3x) Vocal Group of the Year, and they are the most recent inductees into the famed Grand Ole Opry. Little Big Town is responsible for some of the format’s biggest hits including “Day Drinking,” “Pontoon,” “Little White Church,” “Boondocks” and their most recent record-breaking smash, “Girl Crush.” Little Big Town is now out on the PAIN KILLER TOUR in support of their latest Capitol Nashville release, Pain Killer. For more information, visit www.LittleBigTown.com.

Charlie Puth

Charlie Puth – Charlie Puth has fast become a worldwide star thanks to the international smash hit, “See You Again,” by Wiz Khalifa (Feat. Charlie Puth). The 4x RIAA platinum certified track, which was co-written and co-produced by Puth, is featured on Atlantic Records’ FURIOUS 7: ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK. It has entered the history books as one of the decade’s biggest singles, topped Billboard’s “Hot 100” for a stunning 12 weeks, hit No. 1 on the iTunes Store’s “Top Songs” chart in a remarkable 101 countries, and shattered Spotify records by becoming the most streamed track ever in a single day (with 3.18 million global streams on April 8th alone) and in a single week (a stunning 21.9 million worldwide streams). Puth is also seeing huge success with his hit single “Marvin Gaye” feat. Meghan Trainor, which is featured on his upcoming debut album NINE TRACK MIND along with current single “One Call Away.” As if that weren’t enough, Puth recently teamed up with Lil Wayne for “Nothing But Trouble,” the new single from Big Beat Records’ hugely anticipated soundtrack for 808, the landmark documentary chronicling the incredible story of the influential Roland TR-808 drum machine. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Puth has found himself among modern pop’s most in-demand co-writers and producers – recent credits include two tracks on Jason Derulo’s acclaimed new album Everything Is 4, the R&B chart-topping single “Slow Motion” by Atlantic’s own Trey Songz, and further collaborations not yet announced.

meghan

Meghan Trainor – The Nantucket-born pop singer and songwriter earned superstar status in 2014 the old-fashioned way—with infectious, inimitable, and inescapable music. Her debut single “All About That Bass” went 9-times RIAA platinum, eventually received two Grammy® Award nominations, won Billboard Music Awards for “Top Hot 100 Song” and “Top Digital Song,” held #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks, and received over 1 billion YouTube/VEVO views in less than a year. However, she didn’t stop there. Her full-length debut, TITLE [Epic Records] crashed the Billboard Top 200 at #1 in early 2015 and broke records as the “biggest-selling debut for a female artist’s first full-length album in more than five years” and “the biggest-selling debut for a solo artist’s first full-length in more than three years.” The critically acclaimed album also produced the double platinum hits “Lips Are Movin” and “Dear Future Husband” and platinum “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” featuring John Legend.  Meghan sold out every date of her first national tour and went on to pack venues during Summer 2015’s THE MTRAIN TOUR. However, this star has only just started to shine, and you’ll be hearing more about her soon.

To help fans express their passion and excitement for the show, the American Music Awards and Twitter are launching custom Twitter emojis for all performers.  All performers will have featured Twitter emojis to celebrate their appearances as they are announced. Hailing from a small town in the western suburbs of Sydney, Australia, 5 Seconds of Summer blazed onto the scene and the charts, with their self-titled debut album entering the Billboard 200 at No. 1, selling 260,000 units in the U.S. in its first week of release, marking the biggest debut for a new act in 2014. It topped the iTunes charts in a total of 76 countries.  Their sophomore album, Sounds Good Feels Good, will be released on October 23 via Hi or Hey Records/Capitol Records. 5 Seconds of Summer took home the trophy for New Artist of the Year Presented by Kohl’s at the “2014 American Music Awards.”

Multi-platinum singer and actress Selena Gomez redefines her role as a pop artist on her new album Revival which recently debuted at #1 on Billboard’s album chart.  Powerful and passionately charged, thrilling and sophisticated, Revival has also earned Gomez a host of rave reviews. Entertainment Weekly called it “one of fall’s sleekest albums” and “as fresh and forward-thinking as the music of indie darlings Tove Lo and FKA Twigs,” while Rolling Stone raved “this is the sound of a newly empowered pop artist growing into her strengths like never before.” USA Today noted that “Gomez is bound to get at least a few skeptics off of Instagram and onto the dance floor” with her “cool, groovy and electro-savvy” album. “Gomez arrives with a pop vengeance throughout the record, as ear-sucking hooks and telling lyrics lay the groundwork for ’80s-infused dance riffs and head-rushing genre-hopping that saturates all 14 tracks,” raved Complex. The first single from Revival, “Good For You” featuring A$AP Rock is Gomez’s biggest hit to date.  It is her fastest-ever platinum seller and spent three consecutive weeks at #1 at Top 40 radio.  Revival  marks the latest chapter in a career that’s brought Gomez from starring on television at age 15 to taking a central role in Harmony Korine’s 2012 cult classic “Spring Breakers” — all while selling more than 22 million singles worldwide. Gomez announced that she will embark on her worldwide “Revival Tour” in 2016. The first leg will find Gomez traveling to 41 cities across the United States and Canada. The tour kicks off in Las Vegas on May 6th at Mandalay Bay and hits major markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and more.

 Carrie Underwood 7
Carrie Underwood emerged from the promise of her 2005 American Idol win to become a true multi-format, multi-media superstar, spanning achievements in music, television and film.  A seven-time GRAMMY® Award winner, she has amassed nearly 100 major honors, sold 58 million records worldwide, and recorded 21 #1 singles, 11 of which she co-wrote.  The first female artist to be twice named the Academy of Country Music’s Entertainer of the Year, Underwood was recognized as Pollstar’s top female country touring artist for her headlining tours in 2008, 2010, and 2012.  Her four studio albums, Some HeartsCarnival RidePlay On, and Blown Away – each certified multi-Platinum or Platinum, and each an American Music Awards winner as Country Album of the Year – tallied 38 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with songs that have been streamed more than 1.5 billion times worldwide.  In 2013, she starred as Maria von Trapp in NBC’s three-hour holiday blockbuster, the Emmy®-winning The Sound of Music Live!, whose airings attracted 44 million viewers.  In late 2014, the Grand Ole Opry member released her first hits collection, Greatest Hits: Decade #1.  Celebrating her first 10 years of music, the 25 songs included two new hits co-written by Underwood: the Platinum-certified, GRAMMY-winning “Something in the Water,” as well as the #1 smash “Little Toy Guns.”  In September of 2015, she began her third season as the voice of primetime television’s #1 program, Sunday Night Football, and on November 4, she’ll return for an eighth consecutive year as co-host of the CMA Awards.  Underwood is at radio now with her record-breaking single “Smoke Break,” the first single released from her fifth studio album, Storyteller, out worldwide on October 23, 2015.
