BLUE MAN GROUP LANDS AT NEW HOME WITH MESMERIZING SKYDIVE ARRIVAL AT MONTE CARLO RESORT AND CASINO

World-renowned Entertainment Production Teamed with Red Bull to Host Unforgettable Launch for New Show

Blue Man Group, the international entertainment phenomenon, partnered with Red Bull to mark the launch of its latest awe-inspiring show at its new home Monte Carlo Resort and Casino earlier this morning. The Blue Men, trained by the Red Bull Air Force, completed a sensational leap from 7,000-feet above the property, landing in front of their new home on Rue De Monte Carlo to celebrate opening day of the new production.

“Creating thrilling, exploratory and thought-provoking moments that make an impact on people is what Blue Man Group strives for every day,” said Phil Stanton, Blue Man Group Founder. “We are excited to share our first new show in 20 years with Las Vegas. We knew we needed a big moment to mark this occasion and skydiving into our new home seemed like the perfect fit.”

Onlookers from The Strip witnessed the spectacular sight and upon landing, Blue Man Group was greeted by Founders Chris Wink and Phil Stanton, Monte Carlo General Manager Patrick Miller, and Las Vegas icon and Chair of the LVCVA’s Host Committee Oscar Goodman. Following the dramatic stunt, Blue Man Group headed inside to Blue Man Theater to celebrate the move to its new home on the Las Vegas Strip. Blue Man Group performed with their signature paint drums and flipped a switch, illuminating the theater entrance symbolizing the new beginning.

Guests will enjoy the dramatic changes to Blue Man Group’s first new show in 20 years. Each day, 45 minutes prior to the first show, the energy kicks off with a dazzling procession of musical joy and luminescence, which can best be described as an energetic percussive parade designed by a mad scientist. The surging, intoxicating beat fills the casino as Blue Man Group launches a Percussipede, a musical centipede of percussion instruments, musicians, robots and puppets co-created with world-renowned 3-D designer Michael Curry. The mega-enhanced experience continues inside Blue Man Theater and presents a thrilling, energy-infused combination of the signature pieces Blue Man Group is known for while introducing playful personalities and dynamic new instruments. The incredible journey includes the introduction of Kukas, humorous assembly-line robots, a sassy humanoid Showbot, as well as an exploration of the human brain through the fascinating Brain Drum. The audience will also experience the joy of a set of giant Smoke Drums that emit mystical, ethereal smoke rings out into the world and a Neuronulum, a newly crafted pipe-instrument worn by the Blue Men which provides musical and visual pulses of energy across a theater-wide neural landscape.

Chris Wink, Blue Man Group Founder, said, “Our creative team has been working for two years to propel Blue Man Group’s indescribable celebration of art, technology and music to a whole new level for the Monte Carlo production. Audience members will be enveloped in a one-of-a-kind, colorful and interactive experience that only Blue Man Group can provide.”

The first show at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino takes place tonight at 7 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the Blue Man Group Box Office, any MGM Resorts International Box Office, www.blueman.com/lasvegas  or call 1.800.blueman.

Monte Carlo Resort and Casino Declares March “National VIP Month”; Celebrates You

Monte Carlo Resort and Casino Declares
March “National VIP Month”; Celebrates You

Everyone’s a VIP this March as Monte Carlo Resort and Casino marks a month-long celebration filled with contests, events and surprise giveaways during the resort’s self-proclaimed “National VIP Month.”

“National VIP Month at Monte Carlo is a fun and exciting way to celebrate and reward our guests,” said Anton Nikodemus, the resort’s president and COO. “Every guest is a VIP in our eyes, every day of the year and we look forward to celebrating them.”

Guests of Monte Carlo will have the opportunity to live like Vegas VIPs throughout the month with unexpected rewards. The surprises begin upon arrival as VIP room keys are intermixed with regular keys and are randomly distributed to lucky guests at check-in. These VIP keys unlock the fun with access to all-day happy hour at The Pub at Monte Carlo, 15% off select retail outlets, 20% off packages at Minus5 Ice Bar and 15% off food items at d.vino Italian Food & Wine Bar and Dragon Noodle Co. & Sushi Bar.

On Thursdays throughout the month, masks from the world-famous dance crew Jabbawockeez will be carefully hidden across Monte Carlo for savvy guests to find during social media scavenger hunts. Guests will be given a chance to win complimentary tickets to that evening’s performance.

The celebrations during VIP Month extend into several of Monte Carlo’s restaurants. Lucky diners will randomly be selected to top off their meal with a free entrée or beer at The Pub or a free appetizer at The Café. The party continues with two-for-one vodka martinis at Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge or 10% off their bill at d.vino Italian Food & Wine Bar and Dragon Noodle Co. & Sushi Bar. VIPs can also keep it cool at Minus5 Ice Bar with two-for-one entry to the frozen hot spot throughout March.

Guests looking to get in on the special treatment are invited to reserve the VIP Room Package featuring accommodations up to 15% off, a VIP card to The Pub,

2-for-1 Raft Rentals at the pool, 2-for-1 Entrees at The Café and 20% off select spa services at The Spa. Expect a few cool surprises upon check-in too.

Culminating the celebration, the lucky 10,000th guest that checks in during March will be rewarded with the ultimate VIP experience – a complimentary upgrade to the exclusive HOTEL32, flowers upon arrival and a surprise greeting.

The month-long celebration at Monte Carlo will lead up to “National VIP Day” on March 26 (recognized nationally as Name Your Holiday Day) where lucky guests will randomly receive tickets to Jabbawockeez upon check-in while others may enjoy a complimentary dessert while dining at Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge.

VIP Month will go out with a bang March 31 at the complimentary VIP Pool Party for all Monte Carlo and New York-New York guests including those enjoying their Spring Break Escape package. Throughout the day DJs will spin the hottest beats as party-goers enjoy poolside BBQ, drink and cabana specials and cool giveaway items. A red carpet filled with fun props will be rolled out for all guests to capture those special VIP moments. Guests can enter online for a chance to win the “Vastly Impressive Penthouse” or other VIP experiences.

Packages are based on availability and subject to blackout dates. Guests must be 21 or older to reserve these offers. Packages are non-transferable and may not be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions including those from other MGM Resorts International destinations.
