The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Announces The Fray and Kelly Clarkson at The Chelsea on 7/27; Tickets on sale 4/20

THE COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS ANNOUNCES
The Fray and Kelly Clarkson At The Chelsea
Tickets on sale Friday, April 20 at 10 a.m.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas welcomes The Fray and Kelly Clarkson with special guest Carolina Liar to The Chelsea Friday, July 27 at 9 p.m.

Tickets to The Fray and Kelly Clarkson will go on sale Friday, April 20 at 10 a.m. PST and are available online at www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com or through Ticketmaster at 800.745.3000. Both general admission and reserved seating tickets for The Fray and Kelly Clarkson are $75 (plus applicable taxes and service charges). The Fray and Kelly Clarkson is an all-ages show.

Grammy-nominated The Fray continues to receive praise for their third full-length album Scars & Stories, out now on Epic Records. Scars & Stories has garnered attention from USA Today, calling the album “more muscular and more buoyant,” while still maintaining a “searching earnestness that will delight the faithful.” People Magazine continues that the new album is a “solid effort that is easy on the ears.”  The making of Scars and Stories fostered the most evolution the band has ever experienced, both lyrically and musically. “On our first record, we didn’t quite trust ourselves yet,” says pianist/vocalist Isaac Slade. “We loosened up on the second album, but there was still some element of restraint. But on this one, we just stepped up to plate and swung as hard as we could.”  The band formed in 2002 and achieved national success with their first single, “Over My Head (Cable Car),” which became a top ten hit in the U.S., and the release of their second single, “How to Save a Life,” brought them worldwide fame.

Since bursting onto the music scene ten years ago, Kelly Clarkson has released five studio albums (Thankful, Breakaway, My December, All I Ever Wanted, Stronger), sold over 20 million albums worldwide, 10 million albums in the U.S. and has had ten singles in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.  She is the recipient of two Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, one Country Music Association Award and 12 Billboard Music Awards.  Clarkson’s most recent effort, Stronger, debuted at No. 2 on both the Billboard Top 200 and Digital Albums Chart.  The album is certified Gold by the R.I.A.A. and produced the smash singles “Mr. Know It All” and “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You),” which marks Kelly’s ninth and tenth top ten hits.  “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You) was No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart for two consecutive weeks (three weeks total) marking her third No. 1 song on the Hot 100 chart after 2002’s “A Moment Like This” and 2009’s “My Life Would Suck Without You.” Clarkson is currently touring the U.S., mentoring for Team Blake on NBC’s The Voice, and will star in ABC’s new reality competition, Duets this summer.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas features artists at the forefront of the touring world and emerging artists that will inspire the next musical movements coupled with spectacularly-designed, technology-driven venues. The excitement of live-music and sports action spills onto the casino floor from Book & Stage, an upscale sports and entertainment lounge, while live DJs fill the rhythmic and vibrant hot-spot Bond with the best in house-music. Finally, The Chandelier, a dramatic inhabitable three-story architectural wonder, created by 2 million luminous crystals, that houses three unique bar experiences: high-energy hot spot, sophisticated cocktail retreat and inviting lounge.
