Aaron Lewis, Eli Young Band, Josh Turner, Sara Evans And More Set To Take The Stage At Billy Bob’s Texas In October

More than just great shows, Billy Bob’s is known for live bull riding, great food and drinks, and for being a mini-museum of musical artifacts donated by some of Country Music’s biggest stars.

Billy Bob’s is the home of big-name concerts, bull riding and chicken fried steak with a reputation as gigantic as the state itself. With a new dance floor, Billy Bob’s Texas fans will be two-stepping throughout the month of October with top name entertainers gracing its historic stage.

OCT 05 – Frankie Ballard

OCT 12 – Green River Ordinance
OCT 13 – Aaron Lewis

The 10-time Academy of Country Music “Nightclub of the Year” has had over 17 million visitors since opening in 1981.

Billy Bob’s Texas is not just about the concerts. Nearly 50,000 bulls have bucked in Billy Bob’s Arena to date, and every Friday and Saturday nights at 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm, patrons can watch real bull riders in action at Billy Bob’s. Even a few of Texan-born Country music artists – Cody Johnson and Josh Ward – once got their start riding bucking bulls at Billy Bob’s before venturing onto a career as a musician.

Billy Bob’s VP of Marketing Pam Minick was once told by legendary Beatles drummer Ringo Star on his arrival, ““I told me band mates; get ready we’re going to see some real bull riding here.”

Billy Bob’s has also collected a variety of historical artifacts which are on display throughout the venue. In the appropriately named “Guitar Bar,” patrons can check out a large autographed guitar collection, and over 1,400 guitar picks which have been donated by many of the legends that graced the stages at Billy Bob’s over the years.

“We are so thankful to have the support of the venues and country music artists who participated in this effort and provided nights of great live music to benefit ACM Lifting Lives,” said Ed Warm, ACM board member and co-owner of Joe’s Bar in Chicago, who played a part in helping to develop the fundraiser.

“As we look toward the future, the board set a goal this year to grow ACM Lifting Lives as a recognizable name and to promote what we do as an organization on a national level,” said ACM Lifting Lives Manager Hannah Martin. “We couldn’t be more proud of the success of these club benefit shows and with the continued support of club owners and artists across the country we are hopeful that this will be an annual initiative to spread our mission for years to come!”

As part of the initiative, fans who attended were encouraged to take a photo of their ticket and tweet it tagging @ACMAwards, using #ACMLiftingLivesBenefit.  One lucky fan won a trip to the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 6, 2014 in Las Vegas, NV via the Twitter contest.
