Academy of Country Music Awards “Album of the Year” Nominee Little Big Town to Headline “Coyote CountryFest” at Orleans Arena on August 2

The sixth annual Coyote CountryFest brings Little Big Town, Frankie Ballard, Natalie Stovall and The Drive and more to the Orleans Arena on Saturday, August 2.

Headliner Little Big Town recently released its new single, “Day Drinking,” the first off of the upcoming album, “Painkiller.” The single debuted at number 22 on the Billboard Hot Country chart. The quartet’s musical harmonies and hit songs have led the band to recognition with 14 songs on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, certified platinum album “The Road to Here,” and much more. The group is comprised of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet.

After winning the “Kenny Chesney’s Next Big Star” contest, Frankie Ballard went on to open shows for the famed country music artist. In 2013, Ballard released his second album, “Sunshine & Whiskey,” featuring the single, “Helluva Life,” which charted #1 on the Country Airplay chart.

Natalie Stovall and The Drive released their first single, “Baby Come On With It,” earlier this year, which hit the Billboard Country Airplay chart at #43. The group, named for lead vocalist and fiddle player Natalie Stovall, has performed “The Grand Ole Opry” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

Debuting their talent with a performance of  Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’s “American Girl” on season four of NBC’s “The Voice,” The Swon Brothers accomplished a third place overall finish in the competition. Zach and Colton Swon were recognized as the first duo to make it from the Top 12 live shows to the season finale on “The Voice.” In 2013, the duo released single “Later On.” The track sold over 23,000 copies in its first week.

Showtime is 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available from $20 to $65 and can be purchased by calling the Orleans Arena box office at 702-284-7777 or by visiting www.orleansarena.com.

NATIONWIDE CLUB CONCERTS RAISE MORE THAN $36,000

FOR ACM LIFTING LIVES®

During the past three months, club shows around the country have collectively raised more than $36,000 for ACM Lifting Lives®, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music.  Shows featuring Josh Abbott, Wade Bowen, Kristian Bush, Tyler Farr, Kyle Park, Chase Rice, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, Josh Thompson, Randy Rogers Band and The Swon Brothers donated a portion of ticket sales to ACM Lifting Lives, which will go to help fund organizations that are improving lives through the power of music.

Clubs included Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, TX, Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, TX, Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta, GA, Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte, NC, Denim & Diamonds in Mesa, AZ and Wichita Falls, TX, Dusty Armadillo in Rootstown, OH, Joe’s Bar in Chicago, IL and Rockin Rodeo in Midland, TX.

“We are so thankful to have the support of the venues and country music artists who participated in this effort and provided nights of great live music to benefit ACM Lifting Lives,” said Ed Warm, ACM board member and co-owner of Joe’s Bar in Chicago, who played a part in helping to develop the fundraiser.

“As we look toward the future, the board set a goal this year to grow ACM Lifting Lives as a recognizable name and to promote what we do as an organization on a national level,” said ACM Lifting Lives Manager Hannah Martin. “We couldn’t be more proud of the success of these club benefit shows and with the continued support of club owners and artists across the country we are hopeful that this will be an annual initiative to spread our mission for years to come!”

As part of the initiative, fans who attended were encouraged to take a photo of their ticket and tweet it tagging @ACMAwards, using #ACMLiftingLivesBenefit.  One lucky fan won a trip to the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 6, 2014 in Las Vegas, NV via the Twitter contest.
