The Academy of Country Music®, dick clark productions, and Wells Fargo announced today 55th Academy of Country Music Awards™ performer Mickey Guyton will appear in a special moment airing during the telecast to help raise awareness around the issue of hunger during the COVID-19 pandemic. Working with Feeding America®, the largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the country, and its network of member food banks, Wells Fargo is turning many of its locations across the country into mobile food distribution centers with the goal of providing 50 million meals* to individuals and families through the Wells Fargo Drive-Up Food Bank program.

Additionally, Wells Fargo is joining forces with ACM Lifting Lives®, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music, and donating $100,000 to the ACM Lifting Lives COVID-19 Response Fund. Created in response to the growing need, the fund assists individuals working in the Country Music industry who are suffering a financial crisis as a result of the pandemic. This donation is in addition to the more than $175 million the Wells Fargo Foundation has donated to help address critical community needs such as food assistance, financial health, small business, and housing stability in communities across the United States since the beginning of the pandemic.

“We are delighted to work with Wells Fargo for the 55th ACM Awards show this year and honored to have Mickey Guyton spotlight and raise awareness on the continued efforts of improving communities across the country,” said Lyndsay Cruz, executive director of ACM Lifting Lives. “Wells Fargo has provided countless resources for people to turn to during these challenging times, and their generous donation to the ACM Lifting Lives COVID-19 Response Fund will further assist those still in need in the Country Music industry seeking financial assistance.”

About Mickey Guyton
Mickey Guyton was born in Arlington, Texas, and began singing in church at a young age. She was drawn to a variety of artists with big voices including Dolly Parton, Cece Winans, Whitney Houston, and LeAnn Rimes. After signing to Capitol Records Nashville, Mickey’s first appearance was an all-star concert at the White House captured by PBS. In 2015, she released her self-titled EP featuring her debut single, “Better Than You Left Me.” The following year she was nominated for her first Academy of Country Music Award for New Female Vocalist. Mickey returned to the ACM Awards in 2019 performing “I’m Standing With You” from the BREAKTHROUGH movie soundtrack alongside Chrissy Metz, Carrie Underwood, Lauren Alaina, and Maddie & Tae. During the last few years, Mickey has been focused on her songwriting and will release her EP, Bridges, on Sept. 11. Bridges will include “What Are You Gonna Tell Her?”, which Variety called “… exquisitely sung, moving and brilliant,” as well as, “Black Like Me,” a song Mickey cowrote in March 2019 at a cross-genre writing camp. Due to demand, “Black Like Me” was released in June and has been praised by critics and fans alike, with HITS noting the song “nudges America’s conscience with personal truth and gospel fervor.” Her latest single, “Heaven Down Here,” was written in recent months as a plea to God to spare a little love for this world in need. Mickey and her music have been featured recently by The New York Times, CBS This Morning, NPR, Billboard, The Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly, ELLE, Paste, Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal, American Songwriter, and Pollstar.

Frontier Nights® lineup announced from WNFR in Las Vegas

Cecember 5, 2019: In an announcement made from the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Cheyenne Frontier Days™ (CFD) announced all but two of the nights for the 2020 Frontier Nights® entertainment series. The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) will return with its exclusive Last Cowboy Standing series and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Rodeo will return to the arena in 2020.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, December 13 at 9 a.m. MST at www.cfdrodeo.com, the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Ticket Office and by calling (307) 778-7222.

Performers announced were Cody Johnson with Aaron Watson, Trace Adkins, Thomas Rhett with Hardy, Eric Church with Ashley McBryde and Blake Shelton with John King.

“We are thrilled with the lineup so far for 2020,” Contract Acts Chairman Randy Krafft said. “We are still working on our remaining shows and will announce them as we get them signed.”

For two nights, the Top-40 stars of the PBR will return to attempt to conquer the sport’s rankest bulls on the historic Wyoming Dirt at Cheyenne Frontier Days, strapping in for their shot to make the buzzer. A rider must stay on his bull for 8 seconds to have the opportunity to advance. If he gets bucked off, he is out of the competition. The grueling match between Man and Beast continues until one prevails and is crowned the Last Cowboy Standing.

Additionally, the 124th annual “Daddy of ‘em All®” will feature nine days of PRCA professional rodeo that will culminate in Championship Sunday where champions are crowned and legends are made.

There will be hundreds of vendors, a full carnival, artists, food and music that celebrates the history and culture of the American West.

Concert ticket prices range from $39 to $89, with daily rodeo tickets costing $18 to $35. A $3 discount is offered on rodeo tickets and $5 discount on concert tickets purchased before July 1. PBR tickets range from $22 – $102 with special Elite Seating and V.I.P. tickets also available at various prices.

Fans can upgrade to a Frontier Nights® Fast Pass for early admission to the Party Zone, a voucher for best-available same-day rodeo tickets and a souvenir rodeo program. For a full events schedule and profiles of musical acts, go to www.cfdrodeo.com

Cotton Eyed Joe Celebrates 25th Anniversary — Named The ACM 2018 “Nightclub Of The Year”

COTTON EYED JOE CELEBRATES 25th ANNIVERSARY — NAMED THE ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC 2018 “NIGHTCLUB OF THE YEAR”

New Owner Brings Famed Nightclub New Dance Floor, Lighting, Pool Tables, Concerts and more!

For over 25 years, the Cotton Eyed Joe has served as the hottest night club in all of East Tennessee. In fact, this year, it won the ACM (Academy of Country Music) Industry Award for Nightclub of the Year! The ‘Joe’ is already awesome, but it’s about to get a whole lot better! From complete renovations to new offerings, such as valet parking, the “Joe” will have a totally updated atmosphere, perfect for concerts. All of these changes are made possible thanks to the “Joe’s” new owner, Chuck Ward. He’s been in the real estate business for 30 years, and he’s already begun to give the club a much-needed face-lift.

“Everybody loves the Cotton Eyed Joe, and I’m thrilled to be the one who will make them love it even more,” said new owner, Chuck Ward. “I’m working hard to make it better than ever and more visitor friendly. Thanks to everyone who comes out to see us!”

CLUB UPDATES:
Part of the “Joe’s” renovations include new flooring, dance floors, lighting, and pool tables. Coming soon they will have updated restrooms and a permanent stage for their world-famous performances!

NEW CHANGES & OFFERINGS:
Arriving at the ‘Joe’ has never been better because the valet parking services have been enhanced. An all new menu will be making its debut sometime soon at the ‘Joe’. It will be filled with usual pub fare bar food, plus many delicious fresh food choices.

FREE Dance Lessons are held at the ‘Joe’ from 7-9pm on Thursdays and Sundays. Thursday’s Lessons consist of two stepping and line dancing, and Sunday’s lessons consist of line dancing. Cotton Eyed Joe is always teaching new and exciting dance moves!

UNIQUE FACTS:
18+ are always welcome at the Cotton Eyed Joe! CEJ has weekly specials, too, so club goers can have a good time while also saving some cash.

Each week, more than 3,000 people occupy the “Joe’s” 25,000 square foot building, and dance on the 2,500 sq ft dance floor.

One of the coolest features about the “Joe” is how it’s decorated. For example, the DJ booth is an actual semi-truck! The rest of the building is filled with signed photos, western gear, and much more.

The National Anthem is played EVERY NIGHT, followed by the club’s theme song, “Cotton Eyed Joe”.

ACTIVITIES:
In addition to dancing and enjoying your favorite cold beverage, there are many other fun things to do at Cotton Eyed Joe. From video games, to pool tables, or taking a ride on the mechanical bull, it would be impossible not to have a good time at the “Joe.” Additionally, there are also games like Jenga, darts, and Foosball.

Joe’s Closet is a shopping center located inside Cotton Eyed Joe, where t-shirts, hats, koozies, and more can be purchased. This is also the place for coat checks, and where concert tickets can be purchased.

Over the years, the Cotton Eyed Joe has housed many incredible performances. Brett Young released his debut self-titled album (BMLG Records) at the start of 2017 (2/10), instantly making waves in Country music as fans and critics took notice of his “confessional, soulful” (Entertainment Weekly) music. “Destined for mass appeal” (Rolling Stone), the album quickly reached RIAA GOLD Certification – one of only three Country albums released this year to do so – and landed in Sounds Like Nashville’s 20 Best Country Albums of 2017 list.

The singer/songwriter has “taken Country radio by storm” (Billboard), with his PLATINUM-selling lead single “Sleep Without You” climbing to the top of the Country radio charts. Young’s follow-up single “In Case You Didn’t Know” saw overwhelming response as the first Country song released in 2017 to reach PLATINUM-certification status – one of only two Country songs released in 2017 to earn the honor – soon going 2X PLATINUM. The New York Times included the 2X PLATINUM track in their 54 Best Songs of 2017 list, calling it “one of this year’s most impressive pop songs.” It is also among Pandora listeners’ 50 favorite songs of 2017, and Sounds Like Nashville included it in their 25 Best Country Singles of 2017 list. The song’s official music video was greeted with matched enthusiasm, surpassing 160 million+ views since its January release, landing among Vevo’s top all-genre videos of 2017. His current GOLD-certified single “Like I Loved You” is Top-5-and-climbing on the charts, continuing to solidify Young as “one of country’s most reliable new hitmakers” (Tennessean).

As one of Country’s hottest artists, superstars took notice, and Young joined Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett and more on tour this year. In October, he launched his own debut headlining CALIVILLE TOUR, featuring chart-topper Carly Pierce, selling out every stop.

As 2017 comes to a close, Young has landed on multiple Billboard Year End charts, including Top New Artists, the only Country artist to do so. He also landed at No. Two on the Year End Hot Country Songs, Country Digital Songs and Country Streaming Songs charts. ASCAP recognized his “quintessential breakout year,” honoring Young for one of the Most Played Songs of the Year with “Sleep Without You.” Young was named a TicketMaster New Favorite Artist of 2017 and was Shazam’s only Country act included on their Emerging Artists of 2017 list. He also drew prestigious CMA, ACM, Teen Choice Award, CMT Music Awards and AIMP Award nominations.

2018 is already shaping up to be another big year for Young, who is working on new music. He will perform at the College Football Playoff concert in Atlanta January 8 before joining ACM Male Vocalist of the Year Thomas Rhett on his LIFE CHANGES Tour.

Thomas Rhett’s 9th No. 1 Is “Unforgettable”

THOMAS RHETT CONTINUES TO ACCELERATE WITH NINTH CAREER NO. ONE “UNFORGETTABLE,” HIS THIRD CHART-TOPPER IN 2017
AND FASTEST RISING SINGLE SO FAR

The “Sharp-eyed, witty” (The Washington Post) Hit Also
Spends Third Week at The Top of the Charts in Canada

Current multi-CMA nominee and ACM Awards Male Vocalist of the Year Thomas Rhett’s career continues to skyrocket as “Unforgettable” hits No. One today on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts, reaching the top in just 14 weeks as the fastest-peaking song of his career so far. The “charming” (Rolling Stone) single is also holding the No. One spot for the third straight week on the Mediabase Canada Country chart. “Unforgettable” is the second single from Thomas Rhett’s Billboard 200 chart-topping release LIFE CHANGES (The Valory Music Co.), marking the third No. One this year and the ninth of his career.

“This is a really cool way to kick off CMA week,” said Thomas Rhett. “It’s always a good week because everyone is in town, we all get to see each other, hang out backstage at the show, but to also find out ‘Unforgettable’ is No. One is awesome.”

Thomas Rhett is currently nominated for three CMA Awards including Male Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event Of The Year and Music Video of the Year for the No. One GOLD-certified lead track “Craving You” as well as an American Music Award for Favorite Country Male Artist. He has earned major trophies from the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, Billboard Music Awards, CMT Music Awards, iHeart Radio Music Awards and more while also drawing GRAMMY Awards and Teen Choice Awards nominations, among others.

In September, Thomas Rhett released his third album LIFE CHANGES, the biggest, boldest-sounding record of his career, filled with a diverse batch of songs united by the “consistency of their craft” (Variety) as he stretches his sound to new limits. Highlighting his “detailed style of songwriting” (Rolling Stone), the new release debuted at No. One on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, marking the first Country release to take the top spot in 2017. He recently announced his headlining LIFE CHANGES TOUR 2018, following his in-demand HOME TEAM TOUR which has sold out 27 stops so far this year and continues this week in Europe.
