In 2016, Iliza unleashed her latest Netflix special, Confirmed Kills, which found the comedian tackling poignant topics that effect us all while not trading on laughs. Harrah’s Las Vegas Headliner and Comedian-

Mac King is celebrating “National Plaid Day” by inviting plaid loving guests in for a special deal. On Tuesday, May 19 “The Mac King Comedy Magic Show” will offer a free ticket to anyone that shows up wearing a plaid shirt at the 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. shows. “The Mac King Comedy Magic Show” has delivered non-stop laughs and dazzling magic to audiences of all ages at Harrah’s Las Vegas since 2000. King’s contract was recently extended through 2019, which will give him 19 years at the hotel making him the longest running magician working at the same hotel.

“As everyone knows, I have a penchant for plaid. I also have a deep fondness for my fans who are truly amazing,” said King. “Inviting fans to come to Harrah’s Las Vegas on Tuesday, May 19 wearing a plaid shirt for a complimentary ticket is my way of saying thanks to those who support comedy, plaid and magic in the afternoon.”

Mac King’s Plaid Fun Facts:
·     Known as Harrah’s “Man in Plaid”, King has worn a plaid suit more than 7,800 times while performing the Mac King Comedy Magic Show.
·     In his show, King quips that his suit used to be his grandpa’s suit – a true story. When King first started performing magic he would borrow suits from  his grandfather’s attic. Now, King currently has his suits specially created by Margaretrose Custom Clothing Design in Los Angeles, California.
·     Event at a young age, King was “mad for plaid.” The earliest sighting of King in a plaid suit was at age 6 (see below photo).

King, one of today’s brightest and most talented magicians, takes the stage twice daily, Tuesday through Saturday, at Harrah’s Las Vegas Casino & Hotel. “The Mac King Comedy Magic Show” is performed at 1 and 3 p.m. in the Showroom Theatre. Tickets start at $29.95 plus tax. Tickets may be purchased by calling 855-234-7469 or by visiting www.harrahslasvegas.com.

About Mac King:
Now in his 15th year of headlining afternoons at Harrah’s Las Vegas, comedy-magician Mac King captivates audiences as he casts out a fishing line over their heads and catches live goldfish out of mid-air, performs amazing sleight-of-hand, makes his head completely disappear in a paper bag, and renders himself invisible, all while remaining unbelievably funny. Because of his quick wit and extensive audience interaction, no two shows are alike.

Sought after worldwide, King has made television appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” and all five of NBC’s “The World’s Greatest Magic” TV specials. King is consistently praised by fellow magicians. In a recent Wall Street Journal article, Teller, of Penn & Teller fame, called King “The best comedy magician in Vegas. He’ll fool you with his fantastically original tricks…” His numerous accolades include “Best Las Vegas Show” in the 2012 About.com Reader’s Choice Awards. Las Vegas Review-Journal named his show the “Best Bargain Show” for 10 straight years (2003-2013), “Best Family Attraction” in 2012, and “Favorite Male Las Vegan” in 2008. In 2011, he was deemed “Best Strip Headliner” in the Las Vegas Weekly’s “Best Of” Awards. King also has been voted as Magic Magazine’s “Funniest Act in Magic,” the World Magic Awards’ “Best Comedy Magician” and the Magic Castle’s “Magician of the Year.”

Dynamic Comedian Jo Koy Returns to Treasure Island March 20

treasure island
Las Vegas’ hometown comedian Jo Koy makes his return to the Treasure Island Theatre March 20 at 9 p.m.  Guests must be 18 or older to attend.

From renting out the historic Huntridge Theater to filling the showroom at Treasure Island, Koy has entertained audiences in Las Vegas and beyond for more than twenty years with impressions and stories, uproariously focused around his family, especially his mother and son.

After dropping out of UNLV to pursue stand-up comedy, Koy pounded the pavement on the strip and off, booking gigs from coffee shop open mic nights to “Catch a Rising Star.”  He broke wide in 2005, his persistence rewarded with a star-making turn on BET’s “Comic View.”  His performance later that year on “The Tonight Show” became one of a select few ever to receive a standing ovation on that program.

Koy has since returned several times to “The Tonight Show” and appeared on various VH1 specials, “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Last Call with Carson Daly” and “Jamie Foxx: Laffapalooza.”  He has previously toured with other comedians, including Jon Lovitz, Chelsea Handler and Carlos Mencia, and on USO and Def Jam Comedy Tours.

He also voices several caricatures on “The Adam Carolla Show” podcast including a Japanese competitive food eater, a P.F. Chang’s host and Bung Lu Soo, an aspiring singer. A new episode of Koy’s podcast “The Michael Yo and Jo Koy Show” is available on iTunes every Tuesday.

Inspired by his son, Koy’s first Comedy Central special “Don’t Make Him Angry,” aired in January 2009. A highly anticipated second Comedy Central special “Lights Out” followed in October 2012, and is now available on DVD. He was also a regular panelist on “Chelsea Lately,” appearing on more than 100 episodes from 2009 through the finale last year.

Tickets are available starting at $54.95, plus taxes and service charges, and can be purchased by calling 866-712-9308 or 702-894-7722, or visiting www.treasureisland.com.

Celebrate Thanksgiving Weekend with Bill Cosby at Treasure Island November 28

Iconic comedian and actor Bill Cosby brings his signature comedy back to the Treasure Island Theatre on Friday, November 28 at 8 p.m.

Known the world over for “The Cosby Show,” which ran from 1984 to 1992 on NBC, Cosby broke racial barriers and sent a powerful message to viewers – the family unit and raising children matters most. The No. 1 rated sitcom earned six Emmy Awards, three Golden Globes and 10 People’s Choice Awards. It helped set the stage for Cosby’s career as an author, as his book “Fatherhood” remained at No. 1 for more than half of its 54 weeks on The New York Times Best Seller List. Among Cosby’s other titles are “Time Flies,” “Love and Marriage” and most recently, “I Didn’t Ask to be Born: (But I’m Glad I Was).”

In December 2013 Cosby’s first comedy special in 30 years, “Bill Cosby: Far From Finished,” debuted on Comedy Central, and he was recently signed by NBC to star in a new sitcom that will debut in 2015.

A champion of youth, Cosby’s dedication to helping children realize their potential is evidenced through his Emmy Award-winning “Little Bill” animated series, which aired on Nickelodeon and CBS. His other television and film credits include “Obkb,” “Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids,” “The Cosby Mysteries,” “Man and Boy” and “Uptown Saturday Night.”

Few entertainers have achieved the legendary status of Cosby, who emerged from humble beginnings in a Philadelphia housing project. After returning from the Navy, Cosby went on to earn a degree at Temple University and later a master’s and doctorate in Education from the University of Massachusetts. His lifelong contributions to American culture were recognized with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1998, the Presidential Medal of Freedom in July 2002, and the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2009.

Tickets are available starting at $59.95, plus taxes and service charges, and can be purchased by calling 866-712-9308 or 702-894-7722, or visiting www.treasureisland.com.
