Country music icon Trace Adkins to bring The Way I Wanna Go Tour to Sunset Amphitheater

Friday, July 17, 2020 at 8 p.m.

Tickets on sale – Friday, Feb. 21, 2020 at 10 a.m.

Multi-platinum, GRAMMY® Award-nominated country music icon Trace Adkins is bringing his The Way I Wanna Go Tour to Las Vegas for a special performance at the Sunset Amphitheater at Sunset Station on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $25 plus applicable fees and go on sale Friday, Feb. 21, 2020 at 10 a.m.

A Nashville icon for more than two decades, Trace Adkins has made his mark on the country-music industry. 11 million albums sold. Time-honored hit singles. Momentous, fiery and always memorable live performances. GRAMMY nominations. CMT and ACM awards. Nearly 200 million plays on YouTube. Hell, even a slew of movie and TV roles have come the Grand Ole Opry member’s way. But ask Adkins what’s left to prove in his career and the small-town Louisiana native says it’s simple: the itch remains. To create. To collaborate. To continually feel the excitement that comes after whipping up a new song out of thin air and laying it down to tape. It’s what, after all these years, he says he still craves. “It’s an adrenaline rush and I love it,” says Adkins, who is back in the studio working on a new project. “There’s nothing else like that,” the Louisiana naive offers. “That is still my favorite thing to do in this business. Go into the studio with just some lyrics and a melody and then let the finest musicians in the world help take it and turn it into something magical. It liberates me. I just dig it!”

Working with some of Nashville’s most respected songwriters, Adkins continues to find ways to connect with his fans through music while recording what he describes as autobiographical songs throughout his career.

Tickets for the Trace Adkins’ The Way I Wanna Go Tour are $25, $30, $35 and $45 plus applicable fees. All tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 21, 2020 at 10 a.m. Guests under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older. Tickets can be purchased at any Station Casinos Reward Center and The Fiestas, by logging onto www.stationcasinoslive.com or through Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com.

Tickets on sale – Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 at 10 a.m.

Platinum-selling country superstar Justin Moore is returning to Las Vegas for a performance at the Sunset Amphitheater at Sunset Station on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 8 p.m.  Tickets start at $29 plus applicable fees and go on sale Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 at 10 a.m.

Chart-topping powerhouse Justin Moore proves that, through all the fame and success, he’s still just the same country boy he’s always been on his stellar new album, Late Nights and Longnecks. Tipping its cap to Alan Jackson and George Strait, the record is Moore’s most traditional-sounding collection to date, a no-frills portrait of small-town life and big-time dreams that’s not afraid to let its hair down and party at the end of a hard day’s work. Equal parts celebration and reflection, the album is a showcase for Moore’s evocative storytelling and unforgettable voice, complemented by an all-star band featuring GRAMMY and CMA Award-winning guitar icon Brent Mason ACM-winning pedal steel hero Paul Franklin among others.

Moore landed his first country #1 with “Small Town USA,” the breakout single off his 2009 self-titled debut. The record went platinum, as did its 2011 follow-up, Outlaws Like Me, which yielded yet another #1 single with “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away.” In 2014, Moore landed the coveted New Artist of the Year trophy at the ACM Awards after releasing his critically acclaimed third album, Off The Beaten Path, and in 2016, he dropped ‘Kinda Don’t Care,’ his third consecutive #1 record. Moore’s songs racked up more than a billion on-demand and programmed streams, and he performed everywhere from Kimmel to The Today Show in addition to headlining arenas and amphitheaters around the country.

Tickets for the Justin Moore are $29, $41.50, $58.50 and $71.50 plus applicable fees. All tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 at 10 a.m.

SUNSET ROCKFEST with Dee Snider, Dokken and LA Guns featuring Steve Riley and Kelly Nickels to perform at Sunset Station Amphitheater

SUNSET ROCKFEST with Dee Snider, Dokken and LA Guns featuring Steve Riley and Kelly Nickels to perform at Sunset Station Amphitheater

Saturday, July 27, 2019. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Tickets on sale – Friday, June 14, 2019 at 10 a.m.

Let’s rock! SUNSET ROCKFEST with rock legends Dee Snider, Dokken and L.A. Guns featuring Steve Riley and Kelly Nickels will make a special appearance at the Sunset Amphitheater at Sunset Station on Saturday, July 27, 2019. Tickets start at $25 and go on sale Friday, June 14, 2019 at 10 a.m.

Of course, best known as the lead singer of the acclaimed rock band, Twisted Sister, Dee Snider is more than a musician. Dee is a radio personality, television host, author, screenplay writer, actor, and most of all he is a doting husband of 27 years, and father of four children. In radio, Dee begins his eighth year hosting the nationally-syndicated “House of Hair.” The weekly show is heard in more than 175 markets across the country. Never setting limits, Dee wrote, produced, and acted in “Dee Snider’s Strangeland.” This horror flick immediately struck a resonant chord with a legion of horror fans, elevating the movie to one of the most rented movies in its class. But don’t think music is in Dee’s past. While he recently reunited with his original Twisted Sister mates, he keeps creating. His latest creation Van Helsing’s Curse is an 18 piece rock orchestra that mixes everything from Black Sabbath to Beethoven. Set to a spooky story line, written and narrated by Snider himself, Van Helsing’s Curse has been hailed by critics as the new soundtrack for Halloween.

Dokken is an American heavy metal and hard rock band formed in 1978. They split up in 1989 but reformed four years later. The group accumulated numerous charting singles, has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and was nominated for a GRAMMY Award in 1989. After success with their debut album Breaking the Chains, the band released three consecutive platinum-selling albums, including 1984’s Tooth and Nail, 1985’s Under Lock and Key and 1987’s Back for the Attack. The band’s success continued into the 2000s, with their most recent release, 2018’s Return to the East Live.

L.A. Guns was formed in 1986 and signed with Polygram Records in 1987, recording their first album that summer. This first album, titled L.A. Guns, went on to sell more than 750,000 copies and earned the band its first gold album. Tours with AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard followed. A compilation of the videos made from this first album also earned the band a gold video award. L.A. Guns went into the studio to record their second album, Cocked and Loaded, in the spring of 1989. It was a hit right away with the release of “Rip and Tear” as the first single and video. “Never Enough” and “The Ballad of Jayne” followed, pushing album sales over 1,000,000 and earning the band its first platinum record. The band’s third album, Hollywood Vampires, was recorded in the fall of 1990. With the release of “Kiss My Love Goodbye” as the first single and video, and another successful world tour, the album went on to sell 700,000 copies and earned the band its third consecutive gold album. With more than 30 years’ worth of noteworthy material, the band have proved to be true warriors of the 80s genre and are geared to tear it up across the world giving audiences the high octane rock ‘n roll that is L.A. Guns.

Tickets to SUNSET ROCKFEST with Dee Snider, Dokken and L.A. Guns featuring Steve Riley and Kelly Nickels are $25, $30, $35 and $45 plus tax and applicable fees for general admission and go on sale Friday, June 14, 2019 at 10 a.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. and guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult. While bowlers will enjoy three bowling games, a commemorative t-shirt, pizza and other treats, there will also be special activities for kids including face-painting, balloon animals by Tawney Bubbles and roving characters!

What is most significant about this event is that proceeds will support Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Charity Care Program. It ensures all children who are in need of specialized treatment at the Children’s Specialty Center or the Hemophilia Treatment Center are never turned away because they can’t pay for treatment or do not have medical insurance.

“Our mission at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is to provide access to specialized medical treatment to all children — even some adults —regardless if they have good insurance, bad insurance or no insurance,” said Annette Logan, Cure 4 The Kids Foundation CEO. “Bowl 4 The Kids is just one of many fundraisers that allow us to provide treatment to all patients who need it.”

In addition to bowling, there will also be a raffle, silent auction and bake sale to raise even more funds for the Charity Care Program.

Last year’s event sold out! Registration is $25 and includes three bowling games. To register, contact Becky Stephenson at (702) 691-5716 or via email bstephenson@cure4thekids.org or use the online registration form: http://goo.gl/forms/9Yd4rdN5PRJHpbhu2

You must register by July 13 to receive a commemorative Bowl 4 The Kids t-shirt on bowling day.

Patients of the Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada and the Hemophilia Treatment Center of Nevada are free, provided they pre-register. Those who would like to sponsor a patient’s sibling to take part in the event may do so by contacting Dawn Marie Pavuk at (702) 732-0952.

PIZZA FORTE OPENS SECOND LOCATION AT
HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO LAS VEGAS

The city’s newest pizza concept, Pizza Forte, opened its second Las Vegas location. Located at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas and just steps away from the property’s bustling pool scene, this new location is 1,200 square feet offering walk-up counter service seven days per week. The first Pizza Forte opened earlier this year at Sunset Station in Henderson, Nev.

THIRTY YEARS OF TRADITION AND A DREAM
Pizza Forte is the brand-new, casual quick-serve restaurant and the realized dream of Chef Mimmo Ferraro and his wife, Nikki. In addition to Pizza Forte, Mimmo is the executive chef for his family’s restaurant, Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar. In 2015, the family celebrates its 30th year in Las Vegas; Ferraro’s remains the longest family owned and operated Italian restaurant in the city. The family’s goal is to open nine additional Pizza Forte locations within the next 18 to 24 months.

“The dream began while talking with friends and family about how we could develop a concept of real Italian food that was fresh AND fast. Nearly 10 years later, Pizza Forte became a reality,” says Chef Mimmo Ferraro.

THE MENU
Loosely translated from the Italian as “powerful pizza,” Pizza Forte offers New York-style pizza and square, Roman-style pan pizza by the slice with toppings including homemade sausage and fresh vegetables, as well as gluten-free options. In addition to freshly made pizza, fountain drinks, Italian soft drinks and desserts including cannolis and tiramisu, Pizza Forte also offers housemade meatball sandwiches and is the only Las Vegas dining venue to offer three varieties of Hofmann hot dogs: 100 percent beef, pork-and-beef and pork-and-veal varieties. The location also offers to-go items and hotel room delivery. Domestic and imported beer, as well as red and white wine will be available.

THE DECOR
The restaurant’s décor is old world meets new world with an industrial twist. Walls are lined with white-washed brick, while accent walls resemble reclaimed wood featuring baking pans and other cooking tools, as well as chalkboards with tongue-and-cheek drawings.

The Hard Rock Hotel location offers guest the option of placing orders at the walk-up counter or via room service, marking the first time hotel guests will be able to order pizza from an on-property restaurant every day of the week.

The brand new location is open starting at 11 a.m. daily.

Green Valley Ranch Resort opens live Keno Lounge

Green Valley Ranch Resort now features live keno with the recent opening of its new Keno Lounge.

Located between the Grand Café and the Poker Room, the new Keno Lounge has 16 seats for those looking to sit in on the live action. Keno boards are also conveniently placed throughout the casino for those interested in placing their bets and enjoying the action from elsewhere. Additionally, a second keno game is available from the Grand Café, which also has its own keno runner to take diners’ bets. The Keno Lounge is open from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily; while the café games run until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Green Valley Ranch Resort offers the same generous keno promotions and events as its sister Station Casinos’ keno lounges, including the 6- to 9-spot Jumbo Keno Progressive, which pays players jackpots ranging from $2,500 to $60,000 minimum. In many cases, the amounts will grow from the starting win as Station Casinos links the progressive among its properties. The new Keno Lounge also is a part of the Mega 10 Statewide Progressive with a jackpot at more than $1 million, and the cost to play is only $1.50.

Most games at Green Valley Ranch Resort begin at $1 on up per game. Games are offered as straight tickets, way tickets and multi-race tickets. Additionally, the new keno lounge offers a “Five and Dime Special,” which allows players to play more ways at a dime or nickel per way. If a player plays 1-9 games on a ticket, they have up to 48 hours to collect any winning. Players that play more than 10 games on a ticket have up to a year to collect any winnings.

Guests are encouraged to use their Boarding Pass card to earn free dining at Green Valley Ranch Resort, but they must first register their Boarding Pass with the Keno Lounge.

Guests that purchase multiple cards for games later in the day are also able to watch the game from their computer with “Keno on the Go” by clicking on the Green Valley Ranch Resort live game at www.sclv.com/gaming/keno, and eventually will also be able to do so from their hotel room at the resort.

The opening of the Green Valley Ranch Resort Keno Lounge makes it so that all Station Casinos and Fiesta properties offer live keno, with the other locations being Boulder Station, Palace Station, Red Rock Resort, Santa Fe Station, Sunset Station, Texas Station, Fiesta Henderson and Fiesta Rancho.

September 28 Event at the Strike Zone Bowling Center Benefits Cure 4 The Kids Foundation

Cure 4 The Kids Foundation will hold a bowling event to help raise funds for Nevada’s children fighting catastrophic diseases such as cancer without medical insurance or the financial resources to pay for treatment on September 28, 2013.

The Third Annual Bowl 4 The Kids event will take place at the Strike Zone Bowling Center, inside Sunset Station at 1301 W. Sunset Rd. (Sunset between Stephanie and Marks in Henderson) on Saturday, September 28, 2013. Bowling starts at 1:00 p.m. This bowling event raises funds for Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Charity Care Plan, which ensures that children diagnosed with life threatening illnesses such as cancer get the treatment they need regardless of health insurance or financial ability.

Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, provides funding to the Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada, the state’s only nonprofit pediatric cancer outpatient treatment center.

Registration for Bowl 4 The Kids is $25 for those who register prior to September 14, 2013, and includes three games and a free t-shirt on bowl day! After September 13, registration is $30. Bowlers can register by calling (702) 732-0232 or by emailing organizer Linda DeCamp at ldecamp@cure4thekids.org. A registration form can also be downloaded at http://bit.ly/15dmEnT and then faxed or mailed to the foundation.

“Bowl 4 The Kids was a lot of fun and a huge success the last two years so we promised we’d do it again,” said Annette Logan President and Executive Director of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. “Without fundraisers like this, it would be impossible to continue our vision that no child be deprived of care regardless of ability to pay or not.”

There will also be raffle prizes and a silent auction.

About Cure 4 The Kids:
The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada and the Hemophilia Treatment Center Of Nevada are funded, in part, by the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. The 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization was founded in 2007 by Dr. Jonathan Bernstein to ensure children with life threatening illnesses received proper medical attention regardless of their family’s income or presence of health insurance. To date, more than 8,000 patients have been treated by physicians and medical staff at the Children’s Specialty Center and Hemophilia Treatment Center. The Children’s Specialty Center provides medical treatment to children facing devastating diseases such as cancer, rheumatological diseases, as well as rare and ultra rare diseases. All our providers are Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. The Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) of Nevada is the only Federally recognized HTC in the state. It is one of 140 HTCs around the country which provides individual services to children and adults with inherited bleeding disorders. Studies show people with Hemophilia who are treated at Federally recognized HTCs have lower overall healthcare costs, lower hospitalization rates and lower mortality rates than non-HTC users. The Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Charity Care plan ensures patients at The Children’s Specialty Center and the Hemophilia Treatment center receive medical treatment regardless of family income or presence of medical insurance. www.cure4thekids.org
