Macy’s Believe Campaign Makes Dreams Come True
Remember all those years you wrote your letters to Santa? There was something special about writing out exactly what you were hoping to receive and putting it in the mail. This classic holiday tradition takes on even more meaning when you realize that a letter to Santa can help raise $1 million for Make-A-Wish.
The Macy’s Believe Campaign makes it easy as 1-2-3 for you to help the dreams of children with life-threatening medical conditions come true:
1. Write a letter to Santa.
2. Drop off your letter in a stamped envelope addressed to Santa at the North Pole by December 24th at the Believe station Santa mailbox at any Macy’s store.
3. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish up to $1 million. With your help and Macy’s donation, that can add up to literally hundreds of children’s wishes come true.
On December 6, National Believe Day, Macy’s will help Make-A-Wish grant more than 60 wishes across the country for Wishes Across America. In Las Vegas the local Make-A-Wish chapter will host a special fashion show highlighting Believe Day at Fashion Show Mall, where a special wish will be granted. That same evening, “Yes, Virginia” will air on CBS at 8:30 pm ET. This holiday classic reminds all of us that miracles do come true.
Bank of America is hosting a toy drive for Make-A-Wish this holiday season. The public is invited to drop off new, unwrapped toys at any of Bank of America’s 51 banking centers in Southern Nevada, between November 29 and December 13. The toys will be presented to Make-A-Wish kids and their families at the organization’s annual holiday party.
This holiday season, Macy’s will reprise its annual Believe campaign, bringing tidings of joy and goodwill to customers nationwide and lending support to Make-A-Wish. As in previous years, Macy’s invites believers of all ages to bring their letters to Santa to Macy’s at the Fashion Show Mall or Galleria Mall Henderson locations, and for each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to $1 million. The campaign runs now through December 24 (Christmas Eve). For more details visit: www.macys.com/believe.
RICK SPRINGFIELD OFFERS AN ‘AFFAIR OF THE HEART’ THROUGH EXCLUSIVE HANGWITHTHEBAND.COM AUCTION
Bidding opens July 6 and closes July 15 for Springfield’s Ultimate VIP Experience August 17 in Las Vegas
GRAMMY® Award-winning pop-rock sensation Rick Springfield will do more than just “Talk to Strangers” when he give fans a one-of-a-kind experience in Las Vegas on Friday, August 17 in conjunction with Hangwiththeband.com, a Las Vegas-based company that creates what they call “Dream Meetings,” providing the ability to move beyond the velvet ropes with the ultimate “All Access” pass. Fans bid in online auctions for the chance to spend quality time with their favorite recording artist, athlete, celebrity, comedian, or other public figure.
Bidding for the Rick Springfield Experience begins at $1,500 with a guaranteed donation or opportunity for a Make A Wish or like charity to send someone in need to participate in the experience. The top twelve bids receive the “Ultimate VIP Experience,” where the heartthrob hit maker, New York Times best-selling author and actor, most notably as Dr. Noah Drake on “General Hospital,” will sit down with the group to enjoy a gourmet lunch prepared by a master chef and receive a front row, center seat to his evening concert. He also treats them and a few more to a private acoustic performance in an intimate setting and a one-on-one meeting.
“Being witness to the anxious moments right before a fan meets their idol and their dream becomes a reality is the best part of this experience for us,” said Darren Sher, Hangwiththeband.com owner. “It’s so satisfying to provide people the opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime.”
