Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas is continuing its “reputation for greatness” (Las Vegas Weekly) with its April music lineup, which will feature some of the most highly-anticipated performances in Las Vegas. The venue will host standout performances from Robert Randolph and The Family Band, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Phil Lesh and Friends, O.A.R, Galactic and Disclosure.

Galactic – Thurs, April 3 – Sat, April 5 and Wed, April 9 – Sat, April 12

Galactic formed in New Orleans 18 years ago and cut their teeth playing the greatest party in America: Mardi Gras. A collaborative band with a unique format, Galactic is a stable quintet that plays together with high musicianship. (shows: 11:59 p.m. / admission $10)

Robert Randolph and The Family Band – Fri, April 4 – Sun, April 6

Robert Randolph & The Family Band first gained national attention with the release of the album Live at the Wetlands in 2002. The band followed with three studio recordings over the next eight years— Unclassified, Colorblind, and We Walk This Road—which, together with tireless touring and unforgettable performances at such festivals as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, won them an expanding and passionate fan base. Randolph’s unprecedented prowess on his instrument garnered him a spot on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” list, and also attracted the attention of such giants as Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana, who have collaborated with him on stage and in the studio. Bonobo – Thurs, April 10

Known by his stage name, Bonobo, Simon Green is a British musician, producer and DJ. Simon Green’s Bonobo project established the welcome niche of a pretension-free, post-party intellectual chillout. An almost silent figure among Ibizian romanticists, Green began in Brighton, debuting in 1999 with a track on Tru Thoughts Recordings’ When Shapes Join Together compilation. Disclosure – Fri, April 11

Disclosure are an English electronic music duo, consisting of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence. Their album Settle was released on June 3, 2013 through PMR and was nominated for Best Dance/Electonica Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards. (show: 9:00 p.m. / admission $50)

The Naked and Famous / The 1975 – Mon, April 14

New Zealand band The Naked and Famous have built an ever-growing audience around the globe for their pulverizing live shows, a blend of the pure pop exhilaration of the hit singles “Young Blood” and “Punching In A Dream” with the thrilling dark electronic arts that drive the group’s sound. Critics have been bemused and thrilled by The 1975, the Manchester four-piece and their amorphous drifts between brooding art rock, crisp electronica, dance floor R&B, and 80s gloss pop. Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue – Tues, April 15 – Thurs, April 17

Troy ‘Trombone Shorty’ Andrews has God-given talent, natural charisma and a relentless drive to bridge music’s past and future. His third outing for Verve Records, Say That To Say This, co-produced by Andrews and Raphael Saadiq, sounds like nothing else out there with influences of jazz, funk and rap. The newest album showcases the natural music evolution for Andrews and his longtime band, Orleans Avenue – guitarist Pete Murano, bassist Mike Ballard and drummer Joey Peebles. The Green – Tues, April 15

The Green formed on O‘ahu, Hawai‘i, in 2009.  The group began as a vehicle for six different members of Hawai‘i’s tight-knit music scene to record a few songs and have a bit of fun along the way.  Their self-titled debut album, released in 2010, earned both critical and commercial acclaim, and was awarded iTunes Best Reggae Album of the Year. Since then, the band has released two more albums, Ways & Means and Hawai‘i ’13, solidifying their status as a force in reggae music. (show: 8:00 p.m. / admission $15-$20)

Chance the Rapper & Waka Flocka Flame – Thurs, April 17

Coming on the scene with vibrant rhymes and jazzy, retro beats, Chicago’s Chance the Rapper broke through with the 2013 mixtape Acid Rap. With the release of Flockaveli in 2010, Waka Flocka’s debut album landed him at No. 6 on the Billboard charts and his mega successful hits “Hard In Da Paint,” “Grove St. Party” and “No Hands” featuring Wale and Roscoe Dash made him synonymous with party music. (show: 8:00 p.m. / admission: $35)

Phil Lesh and Friends – Fri, April 18 – Sun, April 20

Phil Lesh is entering his 15th year of playing with a rotating mix of Friends, both old and new. With a varied mixture of some of the best performing musicians in the live music universe, Phil has kept his musical journey fresh by constantly and consistently putting together bands featuring dynamic, exciting musicians and singers working together toward keeping the music of the Grateful Dead moving forward into the future. The Infamous Stringdusters – Sun, April 20

The Grammy-nominated group, The Infamous Stringdusters, gained notice in ’07 with album, Fork in the Road. Their bluegrass tunes have won them many awards, such as Emerging Artist of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association. (show: 11:00 p.m. / admission: $15)

Bombino – Mon, April 21 and Tues, April 22

Omara “Bombino” Moctar is an internationally acclaimed Tuareg guitarist and singer-songwriter from Agadez, Niger. Bombino’s album Nomad has been named among NPR Music’s 50 Favorite Albums of 2013, Rolling Stone’s list of the 50 Best Albums of 2013 and to Uncut’s list of the Best World Music Albums.  (show: 9:00 p.m. / no cover)

MiM0SA & Star Slinger – Wed, April 23

The music from the artist, producer and DJ called MiM0SA has been explained by others as a genre of its own and self-described as Future Trill. His combination of hip-hop beats with futuristic electronic music is a unique blend that has been selling out venues in North America. Star Slinger is an Electronic project created by Nottinghamshire born Darren Williams, and first gained recognition after self-releasing a beat tape in the summer of 2010 entitled Volume 1.  (show: 9:00 p.m. / admission: $15-$20)

O.A.R. – Thurs, April. 24 – Sat, April 26

O.A.R. first began to develop their unique sound in drummer Chris Culos’ basement while in high school in Rockville, Maryland. To date the group has sold close to 2 million albums and over 2 million concert tickets, including three sold-out shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.  In 2011 the band released their most recent studio album, King, which debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200 chart, #3 on the Billboard Digital Album Chart, and was #3 at iTunes on the day of the release. Gogol Bordello – Fri, April 25 and Sat, April 26

Gogol Bordello is a Gypsy punk band from the Lower East Side of Manhattan, formed in 1999 and known for theatrical stage shows. Much of the band’s sound is inspired by Gypsy music. The band incorporates accordion and violin mixed with punk and dub. (show: 11:59 p.m. /  admission: $30).

Elvis Costello & The Roots, The Avett Brothers, Jane’s Addiction, Phil Lesh & Friends, The String Cheese Incident, Cake, Primus, O.A.R., Steve Winwood, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Thievery Corporation, Trombone Shorty, Gogol Bordello, and Chromeo highlight an initial wave of highly anticipated performances, including late night shows, in the new entertainment and dining destination in Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas entertainment experience and music scene will once again be redefined as Brooklyn Bowl opens its doors March 2014 at The LINQ, Caesars Entertainment’s open air district in the center of the world famous Las Vegas Strip.

Following in the footsteps of the original Brooklyn location and their recently opened outpost at the O2 in London, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas will feature live concerts, 32 lanes of bowling and food by celebrated restaurateurs, Blue Ribbon. With three levels spanning over 80,000 square feet, it will be one of the largest venues music in America, and will offer programming throughout the day and late into the night.

As Brooklyn Bowl co-founder Peter Shapiro put it, “We are thrilled to bring the unique Brooklyn Bowl vibe to Las Vegas. This multi-sensory, free-standing performance venue will allow people to have a full dining, social and concert experience under one roof.”

Over 2,000 concert goers will be able to enjoy performances from the standing room general admission area, the luxurious bowlers lounges adjacent to the lanes where bowlers can relax on leather sofas and enjoy the full menu of food and beverages, or the private lounge boxes overlooking it all. Like in New York, on many nights, guests will be able to come early and stay late to experience multiple shows with just one ticket.  The live concert experience will be complemented by five on-site bars showcasing local craft brews and rockin’ comfort food by the world-renowned Bromberg Brothers’ Blue Ribbon Restaurants, including their iconic Fried Chicken celebrated on Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate.”

“Part of Brooklyn Bowl’s fun atmosphere is the food and the experience around you,” says Blue Ribbon co-owner, and partner in Brooklyn Bowl, Bruce Bromberg. “We are excited to bring the menu to Las Vegas for guests to enjoy good times and great tastes.”
