Brooklyn Bowl Celebrates First Year Full of Rave Reviews

Brooklyn Bowl

BROOKLYN BOWLBROOKLYN BOWL 1

BROOKLYN BOWL LAS VEGAS CELEBRATES FIRST ANNIVERSARY,
YEAR FULL OF SUPERLATIVES

On Saturday, March 7, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas celebrates its first year as Las Vegas newest, most exciting and unique entertainment venue. Combining 32 bowling lanes, five bars and an award-winning menu by Bruce and Eric Bromberg’s Blue Ribbon Restaurants with a dynamic roster of live music acts, Brooklyn Bowl is savvy locals’ and tourists’ favorite entertainment destination.

“It’s amazing to think a year has already passed, but we couldn’t be more pleased with the reception Brooklyn Bowl has received in Las Vegas,” said Peter Shapiro, founder and owner, The Bowls. “We’ve come to a city famous for its entertainment and succeeded in transforming the way people experience live music. We owe all Las Vegas music fans—as well as those who’ve visited us from around the world—tremendous gratitude for making our first year a stellar one.”

In just 12 months, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas has accumulated numerous accolades, including the following:
-Best Live Music Venues in Las Vegas, No. 1 – Travel + Leisure
-Top 10 New Restaurants 2014 – Las Vegas Review-Journal
-Reader’s Choice Best Live Music Venue, Best Concert Calendar, Best New Music Venue and Best Potato Kinish – Las Vegas Weekly
-Best New Venue, Best Ventilation – Vegas Seven
-Best Happy Hour and Best Music Venue – Desert Companion

It’s no surprise Brooklyn Bowl’s live music roster generates so much excitement among critics and music lovers alike. During the first year, the Venue hosted nearly 300 live shows representing an expansive array of musical genres, with artists including John Legend, OneRepublic, Elvis Costello, The Roots, Jane’s Addiction, Phil Lesh & Friends, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Primus, O.A.R., Smashing Pumpkins, Los Lobos, Steve Winwood, Wu-Tang Clan, Jack White and The String Cheese Incident.

Brooklyn Bowl’s restaurant, helmed by Chef Dermot Driscoll and featuring Blue Ribbon Restaurants’ menu, consistently receives raves. The much-lauded menu elevates comfort food and offers new twists on old favorites. Signature dishes include its world-renowned Fried Chicken, served with white bread and honey; Egg Shooters with pickled peppers and olive oil mayo; a variety of French Bread Pizzas, including The Theresa, with butternut squash, mushrooms and roasted garlic; The Bowl Burger Deluxe with all of the fixin’s and fries; and Mac & Cheese with baked crumbs. New to the menu are Chef Driscoll’s Deep Fried Pickles with Blue Ribbon seasoning and chipotle ranch. Brooklyn Bowl’s menu is complemented by a thirst-quenching roster of craft beers and spirited house cocktails, such as the Drunken Palmer, combining Seagram’s Sweet Tea Vodka and lemonade, and Rum Punch, a blend of Bacardi Superior, Gosling’s Rum and juice.

Brooklyn Bowl’s famous fried chicken inspired Driscoll to create the Fried Chicken Martini in honor of the venue’s first anniversary. This celebratory libation incorporates Tito’s Handmade Vodka, which was infused with fried chicken for two weeks. The fried chicken vodka is then poured into a glass dipped in a touch of honey imported directly from the Mexican honey farm belonging to Blue Ribbon Restaurants founder Bruce Bromberg. The honeyed rim is then dipped in the restaurant’s signature fried chicken seasoning and garnished with a boneless piece of fried chicken skewered with a sprig of rosemary. Executive Chef Dermot Driscoll’s inventive creation will be available for a limited time.

Finally, over the course of its first year, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas charted several notable numbers:
-Total guests served: 600,000
-Hosted shows and events: 325
-Pounds of served chicken: 60,000
-Pounds of French fries served: 30,000
-Number of beers sold: 260,000

Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas serves its full menu in the restaurant and at the lanes every day starting at 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and noon on Saturday and Sunday, when a brunch menu is also available.

DOUBLE JUMP THE CONCERT LINE AT BROOKLYN BOWL LAS VEGAS
AT THE LINQ

Guests Who Dine at Brooklyn Bowl’s Restaurant Can Now “Jump” to the Front of the Concert Line

In bowling, the term “double jump” means the bowler has jumped ahead of where he or she should be in the standard rotation. However, at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, Double Jump is a boon for guests who want to dine and then receive preferential access to the evening’s concert event.

Now available, the Double Jump program enables guests dining at its award-winning, Blue Ribbon restaurant to proceed immediately to the concert of the night before the general public.

Here is how it works: dine anywhere at Brooklyn Bowl and show the receipt to security to be allowed entry into the concert area ahead of the general public. That guest will “jump the line.” Reservations during concert nights are strongly recommended. Reservations can be made via vegas.brooklynbowl.com or by calling (702) 862-2695.

Brooklyn Bowl’s Blue Ribbon restaurant was created by brothers, chefs and restaurateurs, Bruce and Eric Bromberg. Expertly prepared by Executive Chef Dermot Driscoll, Brooklyn Bowl’s menu is a mix of comfort food and new twists on old favorites. Signature dishes include Egg Shooters with pickled peppers and olive oil mayo; Deep Fried Pickles with Blue Ribbon seasoning and chipotle ranch; a collection of French Bread Pizzas including The Theresa with butternut squash, mushrooms and roasted garlic; The Bowl Burger Deluxe with all of the fixin’s and fries; Mac & Cheese with baked crumbs and of course, its world-renowned Fried Chicken served with white bread and honey.

Brooklyn Bowl is open for dining every day starting at 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The venue will host standout performances from Robert Randolph and The Family Band, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Phil Lesh and Friends, O.A.R, Galactic and Disclosure.

The band followed with three studio recordings over the next eight years— Unclassified, Colorblind, and We Walk This Road—which, together with tireless touring and unforgettable performances at such festivals as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, won them an expanding and passionate fan base. Randolph’s unprecedented prowess on his instrument garnered him a spot on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” list, and also attracted the attention of such giants as Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana, who have collaborated with him on stage and in the studio. Critics have been bemused and thrilled by The 1975, the Manchester four-piece and their amorphous drifts between brooding art rock, crisp electronica, dance floor R&B, and 80s gloss pop. (shows: 11:59 p.m. / admission: $25)

The Green – Tues, April 15

The Green formed on O‘ahu, Hawai‘i, in 2009.  The group began as a vehicle for six different members of Hawai‘i’s tight-knit music scene to record a few songs and have a bit of fun along the way.  Their self-titled debut album, released in 2010, earned both critical and commercial acclaim, and was awarded iTunes Best Reggae Album of the Year. Chance the Rapper & Waka Flocka Flame – Thurs, April 17
