Vegas Backyard Gourmet BBQ – The Healthy Burger – With Victoria Amory Condiments


Burger season is here and with it, bbq, cookouts and picnics. I love the idea of a small burger… or slider as I am able to add tons of flavor with condiments and side dishes and fewer calories.

Non-Recipe Recipe

Make burgers using three types of ground meat, beef, veal and turkey and mix in a couple of tablespoons of Sherry Ketchup or Smokey BBQ Ketchup and a handful of chopped parsley when  mixing the meats and forming the sliders. You can also add chopped onions, feta or blue cheese crumbles, spinach or even cooked mushrooms. It all goes.

For a party, make a few different kinds and serve them with different condiments. For example, turkey & spinach with Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise, lamb & mint with sherry ketchup and beef, veal & turkey (photographed above) with Champagne Ketchup. Whole wheat buns and slices of tomatoes.

An Executive Chef’s Culinary Classroom is a series of interactive cooking classes led by Bellagio Executive Chef Edmund Wong. During each two-hour session held in Tuscany Kitchen, the AAA Five Diamond resort’s state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen, Wong and his talented team guide students through the preparation of a three-course meal including an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Beer & BBQ Secrets is an intimate beer pairing luncheon hosted by Smith and held in Tuscany Kitchen. The upbeat and interactive event invites guests to relax and enjoy the fresh, smoky flavors of the season with a three-course meal prepared by Wong and beer pairings presented by Bellagio Assistant Director of Beverage Ricardo Murcia. WHAT: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino partners with Guitar Hero® console game publisher, Activision and Budweiser to present “Be a Hero” Weekend, in honor of 4th of July and to benefit military families through the Folds of Honor Foundation.

Guests are invited to participate in Guitar Hero® battles inside the Hard Rock Store from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 2 and again on Sunday, July 3. All participants will receive a prize and a raffle ticket for a chance to win a two-night stay at the premier entertainment resort. For every 20 participants, Activision will donate a complete game bundle, including software, to Folds of Honor families.

Budweiser encourages guests to show their support by visiting its Heroes Wall located across from the Hard Rock Store*.
