Bellagio Reveals The Mayfair Supper Club’s Multi-Act Entertainment Programming

BELLAGIO REVEALS THE MAYFAIR SUPPER CLUB’S MULTI-ACT ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMMING

Performances Celebrate Entertainment, Fashion and Music across Generations, with Modern Edge

This New Year’s Eve, the curtains will rise unveiling Bellagio’s  new restaurant experience with The Mayfair Supper Club – an immersive dining venue modernizing the ravenous culture of the Roaring 20s for the 2020s.

Through a multi-act production created by No Ceilings Entertainment, The Mayfair defies typical dinner service with captivating live entertainment that evolves throughout the night, beginning as a snazzy fountain-side lounge and morphing into a swinging prohibition-era jazz club and late-night dance party.

“The Mayfair has something for everyone whether you want a beautiful meal set to the sounds of a world-class pianist, a fabulous feast while watching showstopping song and dance numbers, or an unforgettable night out partying,” said MGM Resorts President of Events and Nightlife Sean Christie. “No matter what time a guest joins us, they’ll be treated to an experience filled with spectacular moments.”

An Evening at The Mayfair

  • First Act

The Mayfair offers a first-of-its-kind “Cavi-Hour,” a luxurious happy hour where the Bellagio Fountains take center stage. A pianist welcomes guests into a chic rendezvous of caviar specials, sharable entrees and delectable cocktails all while enjoying a picturesque panorama of Las Vegas’ most iconic landmark.

  • Second Act

As the sun sets, the energy rises with performances reminiscent of the showroom era of Las Vegas entertainment. The Mayfair’s lead male and female vocalists transport guests back through history with a multi-piece band to dazzle diners with brazen jazz numbers and spectacular costumes.

  • Third Act

The Mayfair explodes with performances that immerse guests in the rule-breaking era of prohibition supper clubs. Every singer, dancer, bartender and waiter becomes part of the boundary-breaking production celebrating the glamourous fashion, lively music and supper club culture of yesteryear with a modern and sexy edge. The Mayfair’s actors interact with a 360-degree lightshow making the entirety of the restaurant part of the stage.

  • Mayfair After Dark (Friday-Saturday only from 11 p.m. – 3 a.m.)

As the curtains close on traditional dinner hours, the vibe shifts to Mayfair After Dark offering a fresh take on Las Vegas nightlife that abandons the velvet rope. The Mayfair’s scene heats up into a sensory-consuming bash. The experience melds a late-night dinner menu, available until 2 a.m., with DJ beats intertwining with live musical acts. The all-night dance party goes until 3 a.m. with unexpected vignettes appearing throughout the venue, performers descending from the ceiling, and sexy routines illuminating the venue.

  • Jazz Sundays (Beginning Jan. 5)

On Sundays, The Mayfair will curate a swanky jazz dinner and a new way to experience the restaurant. The band and singers will serenade the dining room with original versions from the Great American Songbook perfectly paired with the restaurant’s contemporary takes on American classic cuisine.

Guests can make reservations at The Mayfair online now.

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens Welcomes the Vibrant Beauty of India with New Autumn Display

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
Welcomes the Vibrant Beauty of India
with New Autumn Display

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Garden’s autumn display celebrates the beauty and wondrous culture of India with golden leaves, soothing waterfalls and, for the first time, two 14-foot exotic elephants.

The “Indian Summer” display begins with the discovery of North America and the weather of early fall. When explorers reached land, they mistakenly believed they had reached India. In their writing, they told of the incredible new world they found with its beautiful warm climate and second harvest. They called it “Indian Summer.”

Inspired by designer Ed Libby’s travels to India, this display brings to life India’s culture, folklore and festivities through floral and botanical art. The captivating exhibit is open through November 30 and is a striking departure from previous displays at Bellagio.

“This season we incorporate multiple elements from my recent trips to India that showcase the celebration, pageantry and traditions of this vibrant culture,” said Libby. “We reimagined the usual expectations of the season with colorful additions that celebrate the glamour of fall, adding colors rich in gemstone hues and exploring new themes. We are excited to occasionally break from tradition to offer new experiences for Bellagio’s guests.”

Creating a stunning pathway for visitors at the entrance of the Conservatory are two glittering 24-foot floral arches embellished with rose petals and botanical foliage and ornamented with flames, as fire is considered a purifying and sustaining life force in Indian culture. The gilded arcs lead to a regal mandap, a structure traditionally used for Indian weddings, made from thousands of red, yellow and orange carnations. A bed of colossal pumpkins, ranging in size, and four soothing fountains line the walkway’s edge.

At the center of the display are two majestic 14-foot Asian elephants spouting water from their trunks, with blinking eyes and moving tails, wearing colorful blankets made from 20,000 pink and purple roses. A delicate waterfall fairy dances in front of the pachyderms while two Hanuman deities, a part-human and part-monkey Hindu God known for energy and strength, gather a bountiful harvest in intricate hand-painted, wooden carts. Breathtaking chandeliers resembling Kalire, umbrella-shaped ornaments worn by brides during Indian wedding ceremonies, provide a peaceful glow.

Nearby, two 25-foot tigers made from yellow lentils, red and black cargo rice and caraway seeds keep a watchful eye over the North Garden. A gentle rain curtain pours over a fallen log, providing a perch for one observant tiger, while birds of paradise and cattails offer a hiding place for the other Bengal. Three floral sculptures made from more than 2,000 vibrant roses rest on the edge of the pond.

Delighting guests in the South Garden, a 28-foot enchanted talking tree provides shelter for multiple energetic peacocks that call to each other and fluff their feathers among the branches. At the base of the tree trunk, a family of wily foxes perches on top of a magical carpet and frolics around a blue and gold decorated lamp while a striking array of oversized glistening oak leaves and dragonflies flutter overhead.

The Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is complimentary to the public. To learn more, please visit Bellagio’s newsroom. For high-resolution images, please click here.

“THE ONE BACK IN VEGAS!” FRIENDS SCORES IN VEGAS WITH AN EPIC 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OCTOBER 18-19 WITH AT&T 5G AND MGM RESORTS

“THE ONE BACK IN VEGAS!”

FRIENDS SCORES IN VEGAS WITH AN EPIC 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OCTOBER 18-19 WITH AT&T 5G AND MGM RESORTS

Fly, drive, take a train, or even a cross-country road trip via taxi (like Phoebe & Joey in her Yellow Cab) to Las Vegas for a one-of-a-kind Friends 25th Anniversary celebration in the Entertainment Capital of the World, October 18-19. Warner Bros. Television Group joins AT&T and MGM Resorts International to offer fans a phenomenal Friends 25th Vegas takeover in all its glory, including new fan experiences powered by AT&T 5G.

In the fifth and sixth seasons of the hit comedy series, the Friends gang headed west to Las Vegas to visit Joey on the set of his movie. What happened there 10 years ago, however, did not stay there. In the two-part season five finale, Monica and Chandler took a roll of the dice and impulsively decided to get married –– only to discover that they were beaten to the chapel by a very drunk Ross and Rachel. In the season six premiere, the gang faced the consequences of the night before, while Joey and Phoebe headed back to New York in her grandfather’s Yellow Cab.

Visitors to Las Vegas can relive some of those moments –– minus any last-minute weddings –– in a weekend celebration of all things Friends October 18-19. Experiences planned for the Friends in Vegas weekend include:

Friday, October 18

The Fountains of Bellagio

“I’ll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour…” On Friday, Oct. 18, the iconic Fountains of Bellagio will unveil a brand-new show set to the catchy Friends theme song, “I’ll Be There For You” by The Rembrandts. Created by WET Design, the show will debut at sunset on Friday and run on rotation throughout the weekend and beyond. There will also be exclusive photo opps with the Central Perk couch, which will be on site in front of The Fountains.

Saturday, October 19

AT&T 5G Friends Fan Experience at The Brooklyn Bridge, New York-New York

AT&T is bringing Friends to life in brand new ways, giving fans opportunities to interact with their six favorite friends in a massive and immersive custom built experience that’s more 2019 than 1994 –– but not without nostalgia!

Many of the experiences will be powered by AT&T’s live 5G network and its 5G Innovation Program members, including Ericsson’s 5G network equipment, Nokia network infrastructure and Samsung Galaxy S10 5G smartphones. The Fan Experience includes:

Phoebe’s Yellow Cab Escape Room

“It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear…” But for Friends fans, this will not only be their day, their week, their month, but also their year!  Located outside New York-New York Hotel & Casino, Phoebe’s Yellow Cab Escape Room offers the challenge of an escape room with the fun of a Friends trivia game, in a fully operational taxicab. Parked –– where else? –– on the Brooklyn Bridge, the Friends Escape Room allows fans to test their knowledge of the series inside Phoebe’s iconic mode of transportation.

Here’s a sample to get you started:  Which of the following is not true?  A.  Phoebe inherited the cab from her grandfather.  B. Ross named it the “Death Cab” because of Phoebe’s driving abilities.  C.  Princess Consuela Banana-Hammock also owns the vehicle.  D. None of the above. If you guessed D, you’re a natural.  Head to Vegas to try your luck!

Central Perk LEGO®

Go big…or go home! At nearly 700 square feet, this re-creation of one of the series’ signature sets will be on display exclusively at New York-New York. Built out of 900,000 LEGO bricks over a period of four months, this life-sized re-creation from acclaimed artist Nathan Sawaya features everything from the iconic sofa to the latest menu board.

Fun Facts:  No one has ever built a life-sized TV set out of LEGO bricks before. Although the creators binge-watched every season of Friends, it took them longer to build the set than to watch the series. The furniture is all fully functional –– allowing visitors to sit on the couches and chairs. The signature orange couch took the longest time to build –– as the most challenging part of the process was replicating the patterns in the upholstery.

A miniature version of the LEGO Central Perk set is now available at retailers nationwide.

The 7th Friend Experience

Fans can record a 3D version of themselves doing Chandler’s happy dance or their own favorite move. Using AT&T’s 5G with Ericsson’s 5G network equipment, fans can drop their virtual twin into a miniature replica of Monica and Rachel’s apartment. This experience uses data-intensive volumetric video to put you in the center of the action, which can be viewed on Samsung tablets and the Galaxy S10 5G.

Performance by The Rembrandts

“I’ll be there for you, like I’ve been there before…” The Rembrandts will perform an exclusive live set at The Park, the immersive outdoor dining and entertainment district located adjacent to New York-New York. Famous for their iconic theme song, the musical duo will be on hand to perform their hits and other Friends-related songs. The concert will also be livestreamed over AT&T 5G with Nokia to a big screen onsite to make sure you have the perfect view as you belt out those memorable lyrics.

Give it Your Best

What better way to celebrate Friends in Las Vegas than with a Friends-themed karaoke booth where fans can sing along to iconic music from the show.

Marcel!

Also in the neighborhood, keep an eye out for Marcel, Ross’s onetime pet Capuchin monkey. Although Marcel has gone on to a successful film career with Jean-Claude Van Damme and more, he’ll be on hand to meet and greet fans. Autographs are discouraged.

Friends in 4K & Download Station

The show first aired in 1994 using 35mm film, but has since been remastered in Ultra HD quality. Check out the release of Friends in 4K as it’s streamed using new Samsung Galaxy S10 5G smartphones with its immersive 6.7” Dynamic AMOLED screen over AT&T’s 5G network with Nokia. Fans can also stream their favorite episodes or download them in a matter of seconds – much faster than 4G speeds.  Compare the difference in a side-by-side 5G and LTE download station. Working with Nokia and Samsung, AT&T is offering these experiences on Galaxy S10 5G devices to let fans enjoy the show in new ways.

Friends Tech Timeline

It’s clear technology has changed since the show first aired –– remember voicemails and dating IRL? Guests can follow an interactive timeline that shows how Friends has used technology over the years and how different it is today.

Blue Man Group – Blue Friends Couch

The world-famous Blue Man Group may not be able to pivot a couch, but they sure can paint one. From their home at Luxor Hotel and Casino, the enigmatic Blue Men will transform the iconic orange Central Perk sofa in a way that only this bald and blue trio could. Their newly painted creation will be on display inside Luxor on Saturday, Oct. 19.

And Much, Much More!

Visit the MGM Resorts Friends webpage for the latest news about the weekend’s events and special limited-time experiences; and to book your upcoming Las Vegas getaway with your friends.

Can’t Make It to Las Vegas?

AT&T is giving Friends fans a variety of other ways to join in on the celebration, including a chance to win a replica of the iconic orange couch for their home through AT&T THANKS®. Eligible customers just need to follow @ATTTHANKS on Twitter and retweet the pinned tweet at top of the page from now through October 7 for their chance to win1.

MGM Resorts Announces Japanese-American Artist Parker Ito as Bellagio’s Next Resident

MGM Resorts Announces Japanese-American Artist Parker Ito

as Bellagio’s Next Resident

Parker Ito, 6/6 (Detail), 2018, Oil on linen, 80 x 60 inches.

Ito to Create Series of Still Lifes Inspired by Experiences in Las Vegas and Personal Background

Emerging Japanese-American artist Parker Ito is the new resident of the Artist Studio at Bellagio, where guests have the opportunity to observe first-hand as the artist’s works come to life. Now through June 23, Ito will produce five major paintings inspired by his experiences in Las Vegas and subtly influenced by his Japanese heritage. These innovative works, paired with Ito’s unconventional studio practice utilizing photography, painting and printmaking techniques, will encourage viewers to reconsider familiar images of the Las Vegas cityscape.

As a consummate user and producer of media, Ito creates paintings, sculptures and video works by drawing upon his extensive experience online as both artist and audience. Known for generating networked bodies of work, Ito spreads ideas and imagery in a way that reflects the relentless impressions that might be generated in one’s experience. As art critic and curator Nicolas Bourriard writes of his work, “The works of … Parker Ito have no origin, no source code. They are made in the form of circuits – they proliferate and surge.”

During his residency at Bellagio, Ito will reimagine traditional still lifes placed in conversation with the cityscape of Las Vegas as seen from multiple MGM Resorts properties, including Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, The Signature at MGM Grand and Circus Circus. Exhibiting the qualities of objects found in Dutch vanitas still life painting, Ito’s selection of foregrounded objects will function as metaphorical imagery both for the human experience and his own. The items presented flourish and fade, much like the decomposing flowers and other organic objects regularly featured in historical still lives. The surrounding panorama of Las Vegas will serve as a backdrop for his compositions, creating personal moments contrasted against the vast, twinkling expanse of the city.

Having grown up as a fourth-generation Japanese American, or Yonsei, in northern Orange County, Calif., Ito’s works will also subtly nod to Japanese culture and Ito’s diverse personal experiences. The paintings will address issues surrounding assimilation and cultural rediscovery by juxtaposing traditional Japanese motifs with Western American landscapes.

Ito will photograph arrangements of objects in a living room-like setting with the use of an outdated digital camera. From these images, he will use a transfer method he established to transform these image-based works into large-scale paintings within the studio, resembling an updated version of the solvent transfers pioneered by Robert Rauschenberg in the 1950s and 1960s.

Tarissa Tiberti, Executive Director of Art & Culture for MGM Resorts, said, “Parker Ito is an incredible artist and we are thrilled to watch as he brings an entirely new perspective to the beauty of Las Vegas’ landscape through his artistic practice. While the vantage point from each property may be familiar, the view from Ito’s eyes will entice guests to enjoy a longer gaze from their window during their stay with us.”

Guests are invited to view Ito’s work at the Artist Studio at Bellagio from 2 – 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday with an opportunity to interact with the artist from 2 – 4 p.m. The Artist Studio is located adjacent to Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art (BGFA).

Additionally, during Art Basel in Switzerland, from June 13 – 16, the MGM Resorts Lounge will feature three works completed by Ito during his residency at Bellagio.

For more information, please visit the MGM Resorts Art & Culture website.

About Parker Ito

PARKER ITO is a fourth generation Japanese American, or Yonsei ( 四世 ), living and working in Los Angeles. Ito’s work takes the form of installation, painting, sculpture, video, drawing, websites and printmaking. Materially inventive and heavy with processes that might corrupt or enhance, he produces impressions of the things around him. Ito assembles cultural markers, ornaments, vistas and consumables. He pushes these arrangements through technologies – including screens, cameras, printers, hand-painting – and the atmospheric effects of these processes behave like the binding substance of the artist’s consciousness. Bracing all of the artist’s output is the structure of the network. Ito gives focus to the specific conditions of making and exhibiting art, as well as the extended network that his practice traces. www.parkerito.com

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens celebrates the Year of the Pig with a captivating display envisioned by renowned designer Ed Libby in collaboration with the Bellagio Horticulture team and Feng Shui Master George Yau. The gardens radiate hues of red and gold with 32,000 flowers, silk-lantern chandeliers and a family of pigs as the centerpiece.

Four happy, golden pigs welcome guests as they enter the Conservatory through breathtaking 20-foot jade medallions. Regarded as one of the most valuable and precious stones in Asian culture, jade signifies wisdom, bravery and honesty. Five pendants crown the top of the pavilion, each decorated with a gilded dragon.

A family of pigs capture visitors’ attention as they walk through the entryway surrounded by the riches of nature. Nine piglets are seen frolicking through fields of fruit and corn. Nearby, the North Bed depicts notable landmarks of Macau, including the Golden Lotus sculpture. The original sculpture marks the return of the sovereignty of Macau to China, marking its 20th anniversary this year. Across the gardens, a 32-foot tall replica of the Temple of Six Banyan Trees, a Buddhist temple in Guangzhou, China, towers over the South Garden closely guarded by two Chinese Fu Dogs. Now Open: Bellagio Debuts Sadelle’s Overlooking Iconic Conservatory

NOW OPEN: BELLAGIO DEBUTS SADELLE’S OVERLOOKING ICONIC RESORT CONSERVATORY

With Playful Design, Exceptional Craftsmanship and Nods to Old-World Traditions, Sadelle’s Gives a Bold, New Identity to Three-Meal Restaurants in Las Vegas

Bellagio is proud to welcome Sadelle’s, SoHo’s popular vintage-style restaurant from Major Food Group and one of the most desired reservations in New York City, to the resort’s award-winning culinary portfolio.

In a coveted location overlooking the exquisite Bellagio Conservatory, Sadelle’s brings an elevated perspective to all-day dining in Las Vegas through culinary craftsmanship forging a new identity for approachable cuisine normally found in cafés and bakeries.

The restaurant’s stunning locale, Ken Fulk design, fun vibe and legendary menu – including bagels and smoked-fish platters, triple-decker sandwiches, burgers, salads and all-day caviar offerings to name a few – will make it a destination experience for tourists and locals. The 10,000-square foot space envelops guests in a timeless combination of colorful pastels and bespoke touches transporting diners back in time to a grand café along an old European boulevard.

“We are taking everything great about Sadelle’s in New York and taking it to the next level in Las Vegas,” said Major Food Group Managing Partner Jeff Zalaznick. “The incredible space, overlooking the Bellagio Conservatory, along with an elevated menu focused on quintessential classics allow us to create a one-of-a-kind culinary experience from early morning through late night. I think if we do our job, we’ll set a new standard in the city for what the all-day dining restaurant is all about.”

MGM Resorts International Senior Vice President of Food and Beverage Strategy Ari Kastrati said, “Sadelle’s delivers a bold personality and next-level craftsmanship to the all-day dining experience that simply does not exist in Las Vegas right now. We are grateful for this partnership and look forward to their beloved NYC restaurant delivering memorable dining experiences to our Las Vegas guests.”

Cuisine for Three Meals A Day

Sadelle’s brings the perspective and culinary acumen typically only synonymous with fine dining to the realm of New York City-style classics. Throughout the day and night, impressive presentations of hand-rolled bagels, lox towers, chopped salads, sandwiches and other favorites translate the well-known genre into an unforgettable feast.

  • Roaming Carts –The dining experience begins with Sadelle’s Pastry Cart, displaying a selection of baked goods including Sticky Buns, Raspberry Donuts, Chocolate Chip Cake and more. A roving Bloody Mary Cart, stocked with fresh pressed juices and house-infused liquors, visits tables to stir up inspired variations such as the Classic, with infused horseradish vodka; the Green Bloody, with green olive vodka, and the Ghost of Mar, with black pepper vodka.
  • Decadent Dinners – Mainstays from the original New York City location – such as the Spicy Fried Chicken with acacia honey and coleslaw – join new signature supper offerings created by the culinary team, including the Grilled Branzino with Meyer lemon and sesame spinach and a New York-style Ribeye with smothered onions.
  • Tableside Service – Sadelle’s presents tableside experiences offering a robust selection of chopped salads including the WaldorfBeverlyFreddyGreekCobb and Lobster, which are tossed tableside. The Whole Warm Lobster adds yet another dimension to the show, as the crustacean is de-shelled and dressed in front of guests’ eyes.
  • Breakfast Classics – From the approachable Classic Egg Sandwich with fried eggs, bacon, and Muenster cheese, to an opulent Benedict topped with caviar, Sadelle’s Towers showcase a selection of smoked fish, including smoked salmon made in-house, as well as other bagel accoutrements. Other favorites include Cheese BlintzesFrench Toast, and Sadelle’s famous Blueberry Pancakes.

Extraordinary Design

To create a theatrical stage for Sadelle’s service befitting of Bellagio’s grandeur, Major Food Group worked with designer Ken Fulk, the visionary architect who brought the original SoHo location to life. For the Las Vegas iteration, Fulk took the core elements of Sadelle’s in New York City and augmented them in a stylized manner inspired by the exuberance of Belle Époque Paris.

Design highlights:

  • Extravagant Entrance – Upon arrival, guests encounter a beautiful bakery cart, accented by a crystal chandelier and herringbone parquet floors, and surrounded by paneled blush walls. Moving into the space, the wall palette shifts to Sadelle’s signature cerulean hue as a whimsical lacquered pastry cart, enamel-topped bistro tables and woven café chairs set the tone for the boulangerie experience throughout the lower level.
  • Main Dining Room – With welcoming banquettes, upholstered seating and intricate floors featuring five types of stone in a bold herringbone pattern, the dining room is refined and glamorous. Intimate lighting, expertly attuned for leisurely brunches, late-night suppers and everything in between, complements soft furnishings, wood tables, brass accents, mirrored walls and coffered ceilings, allowing the space to seamlessly shift from a bright and airy brunch spot to an intimate evening destination.
  • Elevated Bar and Lounge – Rounded lines, like the demilune bar, clamshell lounge chairs and serpentine sofas set the bar and lounge at Sadelle’s apart from the rest of the restaurant. Softly upholstered furnishings invite parties of all sizes for cocktails and late-night lounging, while spacious cocktail tables can accommodate guests seeking appetizers, bar snacks or sensational sips.
  • Private Dining Room – Like many of Fulk’s hospitality projects, the private dining room offers its own evocative experience. In a nod to Art Nouveau, the carpet undulates into a radiating starburst pattern and the upholstered walls feature a feathery botanical print.

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. – midnight. To make reservations for 10 or more, call Sadelle’s directly at (702) 693-8401.

Sadelle’s is Major Food Group’s second Las Vegas restaurant following the 2015 opening of Carbone at ARIA Resort & Casino.

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens Captures the Spirit of the Holiday Season With Majestic New Display

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
Captures the Spirit of the Holiday Season
With Majestic New Display

Transforming into a glistening winter wonderland, Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens unveils its spectacular holiday display featuring picture-perfect botanical creations, a stately 42-foot-tall White Fir tree dripping with bright ornaments and a glamorous ice queen.

Now through January 6, 2019, visitors to the Conservatory will voyage through the arctic with an elegant ice queen as she travels on her horse-drawn carriage to a dramatic castle. Along the way, joyful elves, polar bear guardians and toy soldiers greet the ice queen. The holiday display, titled “Majestic Holiday Magic,” was designed by Ed Libby and the Bellagio Horticulture team, drawing inspiration from royal weddings.

In the center of it all, a magnificent holiday tree sends gazes soaring while musical sounds and seasonal colors evoke the holiday spirit. Decorated with 7,000 warm white lights and 2,500 ornaments, the 42-foot White Fir stands as the Conservatory’s focal point. A whimsical five-car toy train, equipped with a live camera, whirls on its tracks around the base of the tree. Guests will marvel at the glamourous ice queen dressed in a couture-inspired gown made from preserved red and white roses, silver palmetto leaves, fresh hydrangeas and Phalaenopsis orchids. Escorted by guardian polar bears, the queen brings gifts of joy and prosperity to guests from near and far.

Visitors continue their journey in the East Garden making their way through a European-themed carriage decorated with vintage lanterns, stylish draperies and a crystal chandelier. Luxurious red velvet upholstery and gilded embellishments complete the interior while tapioca pearls and other botanical materials cover the exterior. Two 12-foot herald trumpeters mark the entrance to the coach, which is pulled by four 12-foot-tall white horses dressed in their finest regalia. Two pearl-curtained windows present a perfect photo opportunity to capture precious holiday memories.

In the North Garden, the ice queen’s destination is a 28-foot opulent Gothic castle, which is surrounded by a moat and connected with a passageway inspired by New York’s Central Park Gothic Bridge. Standing guard at each corner of the bridge are four animated toy soldiers. Nearby, a pair of playful floral elves wave hello and stand among hundreds of colorful Poinsettias.

In the South Garden guests will find a polar bear family in its new glistening arctic environment, a gift from the queen for their service and loyalty. Tugging on the heartstrings of visitors young and old, two baby polar bears frolic among the icebergs as a third baby pops out of a box. Papa bear with a coat made of thousands of white hydrangeas watches with affection. To complete the seasonal theme, glimmering stars, an illuminated moon and red and green Polonaise tree toppers hang from the Conservatory’s all-glass ceiling, visible from every vantage point.

Bellagio’s Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is complimentary to the public and open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To learn more, please visit Bellagio’s newsroom.

New menu adds seasonally inspired selections created by Executive Chef Mark Andelbradt

(

Wolfgang Puck’s flagship restaurant, Spago Las Vegas, celebrates the season with a new menu featuring a bountiful selection of harvest-forward starters, shared plates and sweets.

Conceptualized by Executive Chef Mark Andelbradt, the new menu items feature comfort foods with warm, earthy components such as butternut squash, apples, mushrooms and pears. Guests can cozy up during the cooler weather on Spago’s heated patio and enjoy sweeping views of Bellagio’s Fountains, while savoring the crisp fall flavors.

Perfect as a causal lunch option, a set menu is available for those looking to sample the best of the season, along with Puck’s signatures. Dishes also can be enjoyed a la carte and during dinner service.

Menu highlights include:

Starters:

  • Mezze Plate – Chickpea hummus, charred eggplant, cucumber yogurt, market pickles, pita
  • Miso Glazed Salmon Salad – Mustard greens, pickled vegetables, sweet onion-soy dressing

Entrées:

  • Grilled Prime Beef Burger – Vermont cheddar, garlic aioli, balsamic-onion marmalade
  • Porcini Mushroom Agnolotti – Housemade agnolotti with thyme, Parmigiano-Reggiano

Desserts:

  • La Poire – Pear marmalade, hazelnut dacquoise, salted streusel
  • The Golden Puck – Chocolate mousse, Jack Daniel’s praline, candied peanuts

Fall-inspired cocktails have been created to pair with the new dishes, including Communication Breakdown, a seasonal cocktail with Bourbon and spiced tropical flavors; High Hopes, a take on the Rum Sour with notes of apple; and Barrel-Aged Purgatory, a modern classic that harmonizes Rye whiskey with two herbal liqueurs – Chartreuse and Benedictine.

Spago Las Vegas is open for lunch and dinner from 11:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. Sunday – Thursday and until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

SIGHTING: Joanna Krupa Hosts Birthday Bash at Hyde Bellagio in Las Vegas, April 3

Last night on April 3, international model and “Real Housewives of Miami” cast member Joanna Krupa took over Hyde Bellagio in Las Vegas for an outrageous birthday bash during INdustry Tuesdays insider night. The event also featured a gifting suite highlighting Krupa’s longtime friend, Monica Hansen’s swimwear line, and the first 50 ladies took home goodie bags.

Following an appearance on the red carpet, Krupa and an intimate group of friends made their way to an exclusive VIP table as Hyde’s sexy servers greeted them with flashing lights and giant letters spelling out “J-O-A-N-N-A.” The group sipped on Ciroc Vodka and Ciroc Apple throughout the night, and later the “Dancing With the Stars” alum was presented with a stunning pink and gold cake topped with roses that read “Happy Birthday Joanna Krupa” and a celebratory bottle of Ciroc Vodka.

The party didn’t end there as DJ Konflikt took over the turn tables and delivered a high-powered set, keeping the fountain-side hotspot bumping well into the early morning hours while Krupa and her entourage danced along.

Also enjoying the night at Hyde Bellagio with an intimate group of friends was American professional golfer Michelle Wie. During the party, Michelle shared her excitement on Instagram, posting “We didn’t choose the #Mlife …..the #Mlife chose us. #SB2k18 @mgmresortsintl @thealisonlee @daniellekang.”

MGM Resorts International Rings in the Year of the Dog with Celebratory Dances and Vibrant Displays

MGM Resorts International Rings in the Year of the Dog with Celebratory Dances and Vibrant Displays

Throughout Bellagio, ARIA and MGM Grand

MGM Resorts International is celebrating Lunar New Year 2018, the Year of the Dog, with festive dragon and lion dances and spectacular displays.

According to Chinese culture, the dog is the 11th animal in the Chinese Zodiac and is a symbol of fortune and longevity. Individuals born in the Year of the Dog are known to be responsible, loyal, honest and hardworking. They are always ready to help and enjoy putting others needs before their own.

In addition to experiencing traditional Lunar New Year menus throughout several MGM Resorts’ restaurants, guests are invited to celebrate with a series of special events:

Dragon & Lion Dances
Dynamic and colorful dragon and lion dances will commemorate the Year of the Dog at Bellagio, ARIA and MGM Grand:

  • MGM Grand – Friday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m. inside the main lobby with a processional through the casino
  • Bellagio – Saturday, Feb. 17 at 4 p.m. at the main porte cochere with a processional through the casino
  • ARIA – Sunday, Feb. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the main valet with a processional through the casino

Yau Kung Moon will perform the Chinese dragon and lion dances at all three resorts, in a traditional Southern Shaolin Kung Fu system with a modern flair. Southern Shaolin Kung Fu is a collection of martial arts with more than 1,000 years of history. Yau Kung Moon, which translates to “Style of Flexible Power,” is one of the world’s most respected martial arts, dragon and lion dance organizations. Known for its trademark gold uniforms and innovative routines, Yau Kung Moon has been recognized internationally for being the first U.S. team to compete in the 1990 Invitational World Lion Dance Festival in Malaysia.

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens celebrates the Year of the Dog with a festive display envisioned by renowned designer Ed Libby in collaboration with the Bellagio Horticulture team and Feng Shui Master George Yau. The gardens are brought to life by colorful lanterns, thousands of I-Ching coins and a larger-than-life dog as the centerpiece.

Upon entering the Conservatory through the East Garden, visitors will walk through a circular dome draped in thousands of red roses and yellow forsythia. At the garden’s edge, ding pots – ancestral vessels that protect against bad fortune – burn incense from their peaks for good luck.

Capturing visitors’ attention as they walk through the entryway, an 18-foot Siberian Husky stands guard atop a mountain overflowing with I-Ching coins, a traditional Chinese symbol for money. A 16-foot Moon Gate towers over the South Garden, highlighting lush vegetation and a tranquil pond. Across the Conservatory in the North Garden is an 18-foot money tree flourishing with 384 oversized gold-leafed coins on its branches.

The Conservatory is complimentary and open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Lunar New Year display is open now through March 3.

ARIA
Beginning Friday, Feb. 9, ARIA’s main lobby will be adorned in celebratory décor to honor the Year of the Dog.

Three Chinese Deities: Fuk, Luk and Sau, will greet guests upon check-in at ARIA’s front desk. The deities personify the important aspirations of mankind: happiness, wealth and longevity. A 196-foot dragon will hang from the lobby’s ceiling, weaving its way around a spectacular money tree made up of 88 golden coins symbolizing wealth and good fortune. Dog sculptures covered in silver and gold leaves will be incorporated into the floral décor.

Throughout the resort, guests also will encounter cherry blossoms, Chinese lanterns and lions.

MGM Grand
On Thursday, Feb. 8, MGM Grand’s main lobby will transform into a Lunar New Year spectacle with a vibrant display featuring the iconic Leo the Lion surrounded by eight panda bears and eye-catching floral décor. Custom filigree arches with Year of the Dog medallions will hang between the lobby’s columns. Upon check-in, guests will be greeted by six panda bears on the banks of the front desk.
