Triple George Grill Celebrates Lucky #13 With FREE Dining Options For Everyone Named George

Three generations of George + 96 oz of steak!

CHEERS TO GEORGE!
Triple George Grill Celebrates “Lucky” #13 Throughout The Month of July
Anniversary Specials Include 13 “Lucky” Days of All-Day Happy Hour, $13 Dollar Power Lunch Pricing, PLUS the Return of the “Cheers To George” Campaign Offering FREE Dining Options To Everyone Named George!

*All Beginning Friday, July 13*
13 years ago, Triple George Grill at the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino gave birth to a new kind of independent dining experience in DTLV and once again, it’s time to celebrate that ambitious longevity with a major summer splash.
Renowned for laying the first stone on what is now a booming metropolitan eatery, Triple George Grill will celebrate its 13th year of serving classic American-style steak, chops and seafood beginning on Friday, July 13th (yes, Friday the 13th) by rolling out 13 “lucky” days of ALL-DAY happy hour at the Triple George Bartop, $13 power-lunch pricing, PLUS a special shout out to all the “Georges” in Las Vegas.
Cheers To George!
Highlighting the July celebration will be the return of the “Cheers to George” campaign. Beginning July 13 and lasting through July 30, Triple George Grill will celebrate all those men (and women) who have been lucky enough to be named George!  Any single George will receive a complimentary appetizer with their meal while all double Georges (that’s any two Georges that dine together) will be served a whiskey flight and dessert gratis. For the coup de gras “jackpot”, all triple Georges (yes, that’s three Georges serendipitously feasting as one) will inherit a 96 oz. porterhouse steak and house wine FREE for the table.
“We had so much success with this campaign last year we just had to bring it back.” said Case Cicchelli, Director of Food and Beverage for the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino. “The restaurant’s iconic name is a symbol of nobility and an homage to the original three owners. Celebrating #13 with a cheers to all of the Georges in the community is a noble way to pay our success forward, and hopefully bring some positive karma our way during what would traditionally be considered an “unlucky” year here in Vegas.”
Not a George? Not a problem. Triple George Grill will be offering this unique 96 oz. porterhouse experience to any single guest who wants to indulge at the special, anniversary price of $130 dollars. Other anniversary offerings include $13 dollar power lunch pricing as well as 13 “lucky” days of ALL DAY happy hour at the Triple George Bartop featuring daily specials and give-a-ways also beginning on July 13th.
It’s time to raise a glass and toast to a Downtown Las Vegas classic!
About Triple George Grill:
Recognized for its power lunch specials, happy hour offerings and classic cuisine, Triple George Grill is known as one of the first independent eateries to emerge in the beginning years of the revitalization of downtown Las Vegas, paving the way for what is now a thriving and eclectic urban dining scene. Known as THE power lunch spot and downtown dinner experience in Las Vegas, Triple George Grill is located at Downtown Grand’s 3rd Street between Stewart and Ogden. Inspired by the “George,” a high-minded, noble individual who is free in giving and sharing, and generally lives life to the fullest, the restaurant’s name pays homage to the restaurant’s original three owners. The 2017 TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence Award winning restaurant is popular for blending classic dining with the charm of a neighborhood restaurant. Guests experience a fresh selection of American-style seafood, steaks and chops as well as homemade soups, salads, pasta dishes and daily specials.

The Return of Grunge! Gibson Presents “City Soundtracks” LIVE on the Freedom Beat Stage

The Return of Grunge! The Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino Launches “City Soundtracks” Presented by Gibson
NEW Interactive Two-Night Live Music Event Salutes the “MTV Unplugged” Generation and  Takes Fans on a Musical Journey Celebrating the Era-Defining Music of Seattle
Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and MORE! Grunge Out at Freedom Beat and Celebrate the Sounds of Seattle as “City Soundtracks” Makes its First Stop in the Heart of the Alt Rock Scene on November 9-10 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Why do some cities never sleep? The music is just too good. From underground venues to beer gardens and music halls to arena stages, some places rock out 24/7 with a style all their own. Jazz belongs to New Orleans. Nashville waves the country flag. Motown grooves in Detroit. Memphis has the blues. Seattle has grunge.  In these musical meccas, the soundscape is more identifiable than the skyline and to celebrate the diverse sounds and legacies, Freedom Beat and Gibson have taken the musical reigns and are launching a new live music series: City Soundtracks Presented by Gibson.
Freedom Beat (Las Vegas’ home to the tastes and tunes of the American road) inside the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino will celebrate the musical landscape with live music sessions featuring the sonic movements of a different city. The series begins with a two night event on November 9-10 and will put the focus on Seattle, where the grunge and alternative rock waves began on the amps of such legendary bands as Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and of course, Nirvana.

ALL of Seattle’s 90’s grunge hits!
Curated by Nick Mattera and Patrick Genovese from Gibson (lead of Strung Out Sessions) and featuring some of the best musicians in Las Vegas, City Soundtracks inaugural session will serve as an ode to the MTV Unplugged sessions from the 90’s. The live music event will host three main stage performers along with a slew of guest performers, each possessing a unique talent specific to Seattle’s featured artists, allowing for an unmistakably familiar cover of the best songs from each catalogue. “Replicating such a vast collection of music history is not a one-size fits all performance” said lead singer and Gibson host Patrick Genovese, “We want to make sure we get it right with each note, each groove, and each performance so fans can get the most accurate representation of the sounds of that city; and to do that we are going to use the best musicians Vegas has to offer.”
Along with the musical tribute to this groundbreaking scene that sparked a generation, fans will get an intimate peak behind the curtain as Genovese regales fans with famous (or infamous) stories and trivia behind each song. In addition, guest requests will be encouraged throughout the night making this a truly immersive concert experience.  “Freedom Beat was built to celebrate the tastes and tunes of the American Road,” notes Downtown Grand GM, Kevin Glass. “We are continuously looking at ways of developing unique programming and live events that are free and unexpected.  We are looking forward to celebrating the sounds of cities across the land in the coming months.”
Property-Wide Offerings:
Guests looking for the full Teen Spirit experience, can book the Grunge Room Package November 9-12. Complete with a 90’s survival kit that will add some alternative rock swag to your deluxe room, this package will also get you front row seats to the show as well as $100 dining credit during your stay.
Additionally, Freedom Beat will serve up a Seattle-inspired menu for this two-night musical journey, which will feature Grilled Oysters and Coffee Smoked Salmon, all paired with a regional cocktail or beverage.

Freedom Beat’s Monthly Culinary Road Trip Dinner Series Travels Back East to the City of Brotherly Love!

FREEDOM BEAT’S CULINARY ROAD TRIP TRAVELS BACK EAST TO THE CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE

Chef Scott Commings Takes Passengers to the City of Philadelphia for His Monthly Sold-Out Dinner Series on Wednesday, August 23rd at Freedom Beat inside the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino

Philadelphia Marks the Sixth Stop On This Culinary Excursion And Follows Last Month’s Wildly Successful Trip To Vintage Las Vegas!

Five stops, five sell-outs, hundreds of happy passengers, and the joy ride continues as Chef Scott hops on the I-70 E and makes a beeline straight from last month’s Vintage Vegas cuisine, to the city of Philadelphia for his monthly Culinary Road Trip dinner series on Wednesday, August 23rd at Freedom Beat inside the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino.

With Chef Scott always in control of the wheel for this intimate dinner series (maximum 25 guests) designed to be family-style and interactive, he faces his toughest challenge yet as he prepares a menu inspired by the city famous for its authentic palette, and infamous for once booing Santa Claus (America’s most beloved figure) at an Eagles game while chasing him off the field with a flurry of snow balls. [Yikes!] With that in mind, Commings has assembled a collection of dishes guaranteed to give him the home-field advantage, ensuring that the room is Always Sunny and filled with nothing but Brotherly Love.

The Beginnings will feature a Pennsylvania classic Dutch Platter, along with House Made Pierogi, Braunschweiger, and House Smoked Kielbasa; while the main course will serve up a host of Philadelphia’s best, including Classic Stromboli. For the “Philly Fanatics” in the room, the rivalry is in your hands as Chef Scott gives you a choice for the ages between two Philadelphia Cheesesteak landmarks; Geno’s or Pat’s, “But make sure you know how to order,” notes Commings. I’ll take one whiz without please.

Beginnings
A Dutch Platter
House Made Pierogi
Braunschweiger – Croutons and Whole grain Mustard
House Smoked Kielbasa

Middles
Phillies Own Classic Stromboli
Philly Cheese Steak
(Geno’s or Pat’s)

Sweet style
Moon Pies

Paired with a regional beer and a Sweet Style finale of Moon Pies, all passengers will receive a stamp on their Culinary Road Trip Passport – the more Road Trip cities you visit, the more great rewards and dining experiences you will receive for future visits to Freedom Beat.

Unlike traditional dinner series, the Culinary Road Trip is designed for those who like good food, good music, and great fun. Priced at just $35 per person and based on a first come, first serve basis, limited tickets are available now at EventBrite or plan your next delicious destination ahead of time by staying up to date with all future Culinary Road Trips at: https://www.downtowngrand.com/event/culinary-road-trip/

New Downtown Las Vegas Thursday Tradition Transforms the 3rd Street Corridor at The Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino
The third Thursday of the month in Downtown Las Vegas is now the official kick-off night to a foodtastic weekend.  Having launched in July with over 750 foodies and art aficionados, the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino transforms Thursday nights into “Third Thursday on 3rd” – a food truck, live art, music and entertainment block party.

Returning on Thursday, August 17 from 7pm-10pm, this authentic roadside affair, located on the property’s 3rd Street corridor, will once again bring together some of the best artists and food truck vendors in the valley including; Truk-N-Yaki, Stripchezze, The Cookie Bar, Cousins Maine Lobster and Waffle Love. While the scents of the food trucks will fill the air, a live illustration battle on the ground from Secret Walls, along with a DJ, street games and craft beers will ensure that a street party rules the night.

Live DJ…

street games…

and more!

#PaintWillSpill

Headlining for the second straight event and armed with nothing more than black markers and acrylic paint, four Secret Walls artists will be given 90-minutes to leave their impression on the Downtown Grand in an all-out creative clash of artistic domination. With the DJ perched in the center of the action, and the thrill of watching freestyle artwork unfolding under the stars, the crowd will be witness to an epic illustration battle for the ages. Once completed, the oversize canvases will find a home in the Downtown Grand’s Commissary, home to eSports competitions, classic video games, full-bar and good grub.

While the Secret Walls artists are causing a visual ruckus, some of the city’s favorite food trucks will be serving up their classic curb side eats. These mobile hunger heroes will include; Truk-N-Yaki, Stripchezze, The Cookie Bar, Cousins Maine Lobster and Waffle Love.  Parked and ready to cater to the hungry masses, the trucks will be joined by craft beer offerings from the property’s Freedom Beat, as well as drink specials found throughout the property.

Triple George Grill Lands The Elusive “Family Triple George” THREE TIMES During Anniversary Month!

THREE FAMILIES, THREE CENTURIES OF GEORGES, AND EIGHTEEN POUNDS OF STEAK!
Triple George Grill Lands The Elusive “Family Triple George” THREE TIMES During Anniversary Month By Welcoming Three Families With Three Generations of George, EACH!
*TRIPLE GEORGE SIGHTING* TRIPLE GEORGE SIGHTING* TRIPLE GEORGE SIGHTING
If you think spotting three Georges around the same public dinner table would be a mirage, then the sight of three families, each with three generations of George, breaking bread together at the same restaurant, in the same week, might as well be called Sasquatch; but that’s exactly what happened during anniversary month at the Triple George Grill at the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino.
While the Triple George Grill continues to reward all single and double Georges with appetizers and whiskey for its 12th anniversary “Cheers to George” campaign through the month of July, the elusive “Triple George” (that’s three Georges feasting as one) had proven to be as mythical as the 96 oz. porterhouse steak that would be awarded to such a fortuitous table of three.
But then…
The iconic Downtown Las Vegas eatery hit the jackpot by landing the once fabled “George-fecta,” family style, THREE TIMES and welcomed nine Georges from three generations, and three different bloodlines in the same week. Each family was presented with their king’s ransom, a 96 oz. porterhouse for the table, and smiled big for a photo opportunity with the Triple George staff and their newly inherited spoils of namesake. Yes! That’s three families, 300 years of Georges, and eighteen pounds of steak IN ONE WEEK!
*Triple George Grill staff and chef pose with 300 years of Georges and 18 pounds of steak!
The Triple George Grill kicked off its 12th anniversary celebration on July 12th with 144 hours of happy hour for all patrons through July 23rd. Daily specials ranged from discounted drinks, appetizers, prizes, and give-a-ways for everyone at the counter bar during this memorable 12-day run.
This month-long toast to a Downtown Las Vegas classic forges ahead forges ahead with its “Cheers to George” campaign and will continue to celebrate all those men (and women) lucky enough to be named George with the following specials through July 31st:
Single George: Complimentary appetizer with meal
Double George: Complimentary whiskey flight and dessert with meal
Triple George: Complimentary 96 oz. porterhouse steak for the table

Downtown Grand Taking It Back To The Street With Launch Of “Third Thursday on 3rd”

DOWNTOWN GRAND HOTEL & CASINO TAKING IT BACK TO THE STREET WITH LAUNCH OF “THIRD THURSDAY ON 3rd” ON JULY 20, 7PM – 10PM

New 3rd Street Downtown Nighttime Food Truck, Art and Street Fun set to Feature Five Gourmet Food Trucks, a Secret Walls Live Art Competition, DJ, Games and More…

Vince Neil was the first to “Rock the Street” but now the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino is going to “Treat the Street” with the launch of its first ever “Third Thursday on 3rd” street festival on July 20th from 7pm – 10pm. Designed to feed the soul and the senses, the evening will feature five gourmet food trucks (Truk-N-Yaki, Stripchezze, The Cookie Bar, Cousins Maine Lobster and Waffle Love), a live street art battle from Secret Walls PLUS games, give-a-ways, a DJ and more. The night of food, art, and music is part of the Downtown Grand’s commitment to entertainment on the 3rd street corridor, and this authentic road side affair will bring together some of the best artists and food truck vendors in the valley.

Having already established itself as an artistic force in Downtown Las Vegas, Secret Walls (considered the “Fight Club” of the underground art scene), will make their debut performance at the Downtown Grand with an epic street battle that will result in each of the artists work being installed on the property’s 3rd Street entrance. Inspired by Marvel comics and the graffiti art scene, the evening’s main attraction will be a clash of creative minds, as two Secret Walls artists will be given 90 minutes to leave their inventive impression on the property as they go toe to toe under the 3rd street lights for an all out battle of expressive domination.

While the Secret Walls artists are visually stimulating the minds of all those that have gathered, some of the most beloved food trucks in the city will be satisfying their hunger by serving up their favorite curb side eats.

In addition to the art and food offerings, a Secret Walls DJ and MC will keep the vibe fresh, while the Downtown Grand will bring the party to the street with games such as Ping Pong, corn hole, foosball, and Jenga.

“Downtown Las Vegas has a thriving art and culinary scene, and we are excited to activate 3rd Street as yet another great destination for locals and tourists to experience the best that Downtown Las Vegas has to offer,” notes Downtown Grand general manager, Kevin Glass. “The setting here is amazing as you are surrounded by our two hotel towers, the great vintage Downtown Las Vegas skyline and a streetscape that cannot be found anywhere else in the city. We look at this as one of the many new events we will be staging on 3rd Street in the coming months and we are committed to establishing the street as a new hub for arts, entertainment and culinary experiences.”

Since beginning her musical career only a few short years ago, London-based artist ILONA has already achieved a wild amount of success – she’s won awards, jammed with Ed Sheeran, rocked sets at SXSW, and owned the airwaves of radio stations in Great Britain and abroad. She’s has been invited to perform in Malta, Bulgaria, Norway and France as well as all around the UK – and now has her sights on lighting up Downtown Las Vegas. Along with her own headline shows, ILONA has supported artists as diverse as Passenger, Adam Ant, Paul Rodgers, Willy Mason and Daniel Bedingfield.
ILONA got her start through a serendipitous encounter with Iron Maiden and Cutting Crew alum Tony Moore, who was  bewitched by her voice. A creative relationship quickly flourished as more and more material was written, shows were played and music recorded. Moore, who has played a role in the early careers of many acts including Ed Sheeran, Paolo Nutini and KT Tunstall, said “I saw such great potential in ILONA, not only because of her powerful voice, but also her passionate attitude and work ethic, so I made a commitment to help her achieve as much as she could as an artist.”
The collaboration will take the stage at Freedom Beat as Moore joins ILONA as a special guest, playing guitar and piano in the band as well as performing music from his critically acclaimed past including, of course, the worldwide smash hit “I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight.”
