Comedian Jeff Dunham Brings “Disorderly Conduct” to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, 12/12

Colosseum
COMEDIAN JEFF DUNHAM BRINGS “DISORDERLY CONDUCT” TO
 THE COLOSSEUM AT CAESARS PALACE
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2013
Tickets for Las Vegas show go on sale Friday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m.

As critics and fans alike rave over his riotous performances, Jeff Dunham, the comedic tour de force,  and his hilarious cast of characters, announced they are taking Las Vegas by storm once again when his “Disorderly Conduct” tour stops by The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. The show is jointly presented by Caesars Palace and AEG Live.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. and may be purchased in person at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Box Office, by calling 1-888-9-AXS-TIX (1-888-929-7849) or online by visiting www.thecolosseum.com or www.axs.com, keyword “Jeff Dunham.”  Ticket prices are $89.50, $69.50, $59.50 and $49.50 (all prices include 10% Live Entertainment Tax). Showtime is 8 p.m. Orders are subject to additional service charges and fees.

Fans all over the world can look forward to a new jam packed show with more laughs than ever before. Dunham’s famed troupe of sidekicks are back: Walter the Grumpy Retiree, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, the beer-fueled redneck Bubba J, the manic purple creature Peanut, the spicy pepper from south of the border José Jalapeño, and Peanut’s own ventriloquist dummy Little Jeff, a mini-version of the ringmaster himself.

Dunham and his comedic sidekicks’ most recent Comedy Central one hour special entitled “Minding the Monsters,” is the fifth in a string of record-breaking specials. It debuted on Comedy Central to 7.5 million viewers, making it the most watched special of the year for the network.  Upon its release on DVD, it was the #1 comedy DVD on Amazon.com and exceeded platinum sales within six days.  It has already reached triple platinum status.

The amazing rise of Dunham continues apace, with 2013 having seen him continue to pack arena-sized venues.  Dunham and his sidekicks are preparing for their fifth trip to Europe this fall, stopping in Scandinavia, Belgium, the Netherlands and Iceland.

Outside of the tour, fans will soon get the chance to see Achmed the Dead Terrorist like he’s never been seen before! Dunham will be premiering his very first animated feature “Achmed Saves America,” starring the world’s most beloved, failed bad-guy!  In this full length animated movie, Achmed is having a very bad day… After accidentally blowing himself up, the world’s most incompetent suicide bomber finds himself whisked away from his homeland by a giant bald eagle and dropped off in… Americaville, USA. There, mistaken by the kind-hearted Wilson family for a visiting French exchange student, “The Little Skeleton That Couldn’t” bumblingly plots to destroy the town and all of its “infidels.”  But, once he’s exposed to the sweet things in life — including all-you-can-eat buffets and frozen yogurt — Achmed’s campaign of hate turns into a patriotic All-American lovefest.

The phenomenal international success of Dunham and his cohorts have been driven by his Comedy Central specials, which set global records for both ratings and sales. Dunham’s 4th Comedy Central TV special “Controlled Chaos,” premiered to a staggering 8.3 million viewers overall. The global TV event enjoyed a never-before simultaneous same day worldwide debut in a dozen countries. Dunham continued to break ratings records at the end of 2011, when The Bio Channel’s premiere of Jeff Dunham: “Birth of a Dummy” became the network’s top-rated telecast ever.

No wonder The New York Times Magazine declared  Dunham “the most successful comedian working in America.”  Dunham was recently named Pollstar’s #1 Comedy Tour in North America for three years running as well as their Top Worldwide Tour for two years in a row.

Jeff Dunham Returns to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace – June 14

JEFF DUNHAM
COMEDIAN JEFF DUNHAM BRINGS “DISORDERLY CONDUCT” TO
THE COLOSSEUM AT CAESARS PALACE
FRIDAY, JUNE 14
Tickets for Las Vegas show go on sale Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m.

Back by popular demand, Jeff Dunham and his hilarious cast of characters announced they are taking over Las Vegas once again when his “Disorderly Conduct” tour stops by The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday, June 14 at 8 p.m. The show is jointly presented by Caesars Palace and AEG Live.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. and may be purchased in person at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Box Office, by calling   1-888-9-AXS-TIX (1-888-929-7849) or online by visiting www.thecolosseum.com or www.axs.com, keyword “Jeff Dunham.” Ticket prices are $89.50, $69.50, $59.50 and $49.50 (all prices include 10% Live Entertainment Tax). Showtime is 8 p.m. Orders are subject to additional service charges and fees.

Jeff Dunham’s television specials and series have been the highest rated programming in Comedy Central history, his DVD sales have reached seven million units, his videos have received a half a billion views on You Tube, and his live concerts have become mega-events played in front of sold-out arenas worldwide.    No wonder Time Magazine wrote that he is “the most popular comedian in the United States” and Forbes named him to its Celebrity 100 list of most powerful entertainers three years running.  Today, Jeff Dunham is a phenomenally successful global entertainment brand.

Dunham has, of course, plenty of help on-stage: his entourage of signature characters who are there to challenge and chastise his every sentence.   There’s Walter, the grumpy retiree; the beer-swilling, NASCAR-loving and resolutely red neck Bubba J; the furry and manic Peanut; José Jalapeño, the spicy pepper from South of the border; the bumbling skeletal Achmed the Dead Terrorist; the almost as dead long-lost son of Achmed, AJ; and Peanut’s own ventriloquist dummy: Little Jeff.   They may have all been conceived and hand crafted by Dunham, but his characters, who are anything but dummies, have now taken on a life of their own, each with their own legion of fans.

Today, Dunham’s global appeal is undeniable.  He was named top-grossing live comedy act in the world in 2009 and 2010 by Pollstar, the concert industry trade magazine.  He has sold-out stadium-sized shows across three continents, from the United Kingdom to Sydney, Toronto to Copenhagen. He sold-out an 8,000 seat hockey arena in Helsinki, Finland on Easter Sunday, and Dunham doesn’t speak a word of Finnish.  Or Swedish.  Or Norwegian. Or Afrikaan, which are the official languages of some of the countries he has visited.  There is universal appeal to Dunham’s relationship with his characters that transcends any small gaps in language translation.

He maintains a highly interactive relationship with his fans via JeffDunham.com and many social networking platforms, including over 6.5 million fans on Facebook.  His content partnerships include YouTube (where his Achmed clip is in the top five videos of all time designated as a favorite), Amazon.com, and iTunes.

In 2012, Jeff continued to pack arena-sized venues on his new Controlled Chaos live show.  He recently made his fourth trip to Europe this spring, stopping in the U.K., Germany, and Belgium, and his second trip to South Africa, selling out arenas in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Sun City and Durban.  Jeff just returned from his second trip to Australia and premiere visit to New Zealand, selling out arenas in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Auckland.

As an entertainer, Jeff Dunham has truly impacted popular culture, and his character catchphrases, such as Achmed’s “Silence! I Keel You!” and José Jalapeño’s “On A Steek!'”, are now part of our vernacular, much to the delight of multi-generational audiences worldwide.

Jeff Dunham, the modern day comedic ringmaster of the world’s most hilarious cast of characters, just announced his newest “Disorderly Conduct” tour will make a stop at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Thursday, Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. The show is jointly presented by Caesars Palace and AEG Live.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. and may be purchased in person at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Box Office, by calling 1-888-9-AXS-TIX (1.888.929.7849) or online by visiting www.thecolosseum.com  or www.axs.com, keyword “Jeff Dunham.” Ticket prices are $89.50, $69.50, $59.50 and $49.50 (all prices include 10% Live Entertainment Tax). Showtime is 8 p.m. Orders are subject to additional service charges and fees.

Dunham and his comedic sidekicks recently taped a new Comedy Central one hour special entitled “Minding the Monsters,” scheduled to be broadcast on Oct. 7th with a DVD available on Oct. 9th. The new show is the fifth in a string of record breaking specials. “Minding the Monsters” takes its audience into the ultimate haunted house where you can see Walter transform into something grumpier than he already is, watch Bubba J rise from the dead, meet Peanut’s alter ego, The Purple Avenger of the Night, and his spicy sidekick, and witness Achmed literally dressed to kill in an outfit that would terrify the most terrifying terrorist!

The phenomenal international success of Dunham and his cohorts have been driven by his Comedy Central specials, which set global records for both ratings and sales. Last September, Dunham’s 4th Comedy Central TV special “Controlled Chaos,” premiered to a staggering 8.3 million viewers overall making it the most viewed cable show that night. The global TV event enjoyed a never-before simultaneous same day worldwide debut in a dozen countries. Dunham continued to break ratings records at the end of 2011, when The Bio Channel’s premiere of Jeff Dunham: “Birth of a Dummy” became the network’s top rated telecast ever. No wonder The New York Times Magazine declared Jeff Dunham “the most successful comedian working in America.” Dunham was recently named Pollstar’s #1 Comedy Tour in North America for three years running as well as their Top Worldwide Tour for the third year in a row. In addition, Dunham’s undeniable talent placed him on Forbes magazine’s Celebrity 100 roster of most powerful entertainers for the past four years.

Dunham’s autobiography “All By My Selves: Walter, Peanut, Achmed, And Me” debuted in late 2010 and instantly climbed the New York Times best sellers list and achieved a Five-Star Reader Rating on Amazon. The book candidly recounts Dunham’s amazing rise to international fame beginning with his first public performances for a mere $5 a show as a fourth-grader in his Dallas, Texas hometown, followed by years of intensive touring on the comedy club circuit from his college years into adulthood to becoming an international comedy phenomenon.

The amazing rise of Jeff Dunham continues apace, with 2012 having seen Jeff continue to pack arena-sized venues. He made his fourth trip to Europe this spring, stopping in the U.K., Germany, and Belgium. Dunham also completed his second trip to South Africa, playing to sold out crowds at some of the nation’s biggest venues in Cape Town, Durban, Sun City and Johannesburg, and recently embarked on his second trip to Australia.

The Colosseum at Caesars is Named Top Venue at 2011 Billboard Touring Awards

THE COLOSSEUM AT CAESARS PALACE NAMED TOP VENUE
AT 2011 BILLBOARD TOURING AWARDS

Sixth Consecutive Win for World-Class Venue

For the sixth consecutive year (dating back to 2005 when the category was first introduced), The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has been named Top Venue Under 5,000 seats at the recent 2011 Billboard Touring Awards.  The annual award was based on global box office numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore from Oct. 1, 2010, through Sept. 30, 2011.

The ongoing success of the world-class venue can be credited to the stellar entertainers that grace the stage of The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and the distinctive artist residency model featuring the greatest entertainers in the world, including: Celine Dion, Elton John, Rod Stewart and Shania Twain (who begins her run on Dec. 1, 2012).

In 2011, The Colosseum at Caesars Palace was home to Cher’s sell-out run of the final shows of her three-year residency, (which culminated in February), along with the first year of 54 sold-out performances of Celine Dion’s triumphant return that began in March.  In August, Rod Stewart kicked off the first two runs of sell-out performances of his two-year residency of Rod Stewart: The Hits. and in September Elton John returned for his second residency at The Colosseum with the premiere of his sold-out run of The Million Dollar Piano.

The Colosseum is booked and operated by AEG Live. “The past year has been very strong for The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.  In addition to opening productions with the newest resident performers-Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Elton John- we also announced the addition of Shania Twain to the lineup which begins in December 2012,” said John Meglen, president and co-CEO of AEG Live/Concerts West. “This rotation along with presenting top-notch touring performers gives us the ability to offer an unforgettable entertainment experience to nearly every visitor to Las Vegas. Our ability to attract the biggest, most diverse group of international superstars is one of the reasons people love to visit The Colosseum.”

“Celine Dion had a triumphant return to The Colosseum, ushering in a whole new era of top-shelf entertainment for the venue and, frankly, the city of Las Vegas, “ added Gary Selesner, president of Caesars Palace. “Opening March 15, 2011, Celine’s first 20 shows grossed more than $14M, and we saw a ripple effect from those ticket sales by way of increased hotel revenue at Caesars Palace.”

Other entertainers who helped make The Colosseum at Caesars Palace a number-one venue in 2011 include Jerry Seinfeld, Luis Miguel, Jeff Dunham, Diana Ross, Leonard Cohen, Stevie Nicks, and Janet Jackson.
