Las Vegas, NV Aug.4th 2014,  – Mark Shunock is proud to announce that the September edition of “Mondays Dark” will take place on Monday, September 15th, 2014 at 8:30 p.m. at Vinyl inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.  Following the success of last month’s Soul Fundafied night, 100 percent of the ticket proceeds from the September show will benefit the Douglas J. Green Memorial Foundation and will feature Country Star Andy Ross, ROA and former Glee cast member Jon Hall, Travis Cloer of Jersey Boys, Ben Hale and Felice Garcia of Million Dollar Quartet, the magic of Jason Andrews, Lori Legacy and others to be announced with the evening titled “GONE COUNTRY”.


“Last month’s SOUL/FUNK night was a huge success and this month’s COUNTRY Themed show shouldn’t be missed,” says Shunock, who plays Lonny in the hit “Rock of Ages” at the Venetian. “The support of the community and the performers here in Las Vegas has truly inspired me to take ‘Mondays Dark’ to a new level each month so that we can continue to raise much needed funds for local charities.”


Every month Shunock gathers an eclectic cast of guests including stars from Hollywood, the Strip, musical acts, athletes and celebrity chefs for 90 minutes of chat, entertainment – and a lot of laughs. “Mondays Dark” partners with a different Las Vegas-based charity to raise money each month for that charity, between ticket sales and silent auction items. Previous charities to benefit from Mondays Dark include Opportunity Village and AFAN (AID FOR AID of NEVADA), Nevada SPCA and the St. Therese Center HIV Outreach, The Shine Family Foundation, and The Miracle League of LV.

Nevada’s Big Give raises more than $472,000 for Nevada nonprofits in 24 hours



On Friday, April 25, Cabo Wabo Cantina inside Miracle Mile Shops served as the official campaign headquarters for Nevada’s Big Give, which raised $472,000 in 24 hours of online giving for charities throughout the state of Nevada.


Throughout the day, visitors, community leaders and local celebrities stopped by the Nevada’s Big Give headquarters in the upstairs room at Cabo Wabo Cantina and made donations and personal contributions to the campaign and their favorite charity. Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller, State Senators Mike Roberson and Ruben Kihuen, Clark County School District Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky, comedian Jeff Civillico, Travis Cloer from Jersey Boys, UNLV cheerleaders with the UNLV mascot Hey Reb and cast members from Jabbawockeez and X Burlesque showed their support for the statewide giving campaign.


Throughout the event, the center’s exterior, Strip-side LED screens displayed the total amount of money raised during Nevada’s biggest day of giving. Miracle Mile Shops partnership with Nevada’s Big Give is part of the center’s Caring, Giving, Changing community campaign celebrating a year of change in 2014 through monthly fountain fundraisers, community partnerships and cash and in-kind donations.


Nevada’s Big Give, launched by NevadaGIVES, is a unique, high-visibility promotion of personal giving designed to bring new donors and dollars to nonprofit organizations throughout the state. In the past three years, Nevada’s Big Give has raised more than $1,440,000 for hundreds of deserving organizations in Nevada.

Jersey Boys star and recording artist, Travis Cloer, brings his versatile vocal styles and energetic show “Setting the Standard” to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts for one night only on Monday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. The performance will include songs from his album “Setting the Standard” and timeless hits from Broadway and jazz to R&B and pop.

Cloer currently stars as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys at Paris Las Vegas and has received critical acclaim for his role.
