Clint Holmes: Between The Lines Debuts in The Palazzo Theatre July 16

The Palazzo

Clint Holmes: Between The Lines
Debuts in The Palazzo Theatre July 16
Tickets On-Sale Wednesday, June 15
Clint Holmes: Between The Lines” will debut in the newly redesigned Palazzo Theatre on July 16, furthering the resort’s commitment to a broad spectrum of new entertainment offerings. Holmes latest adaptation, which will run Tuesday through Saturday at 10 p.m., is a culmination of all the artist has gleaned throughout his impressive career.
Promising a personal, melodic journey of contemporary hits and traditional standards, as well as original music written by Holmes, his objective was to create a show that “connects with the soul of the audience,” regardless of age or musical preference.

“Sometimes when we hear a song, we just concentrate on the words or the notes,” said Holmes. “But if you look closer between the lines of the music, there is deeper meaning that creates beautiful shared experiences.”
Holmes will be accompanied on stage by a seven-piece ensemble band including pianist and musical director Christian Tamburr, guitarist John Wedemeyer, saxophonist Rocco Barbato, drummer and percussionist Jakubu Griffin, bassist
Dave Ostrem, keyboardist and vocalist Jamie Hosmer.
Holmes will be joined on stage by Cuban-born  singer and dancer Noybel Gorgoy, who most recently was featured as the lead singer of the “gypsy” jazz band Hot Club of Las Vegas. Growing up with an African-American jazz musician father and a British mother, who was a classically trained opera singer, Holmes has spent decades performing across the globe. He also served as Joan Rivers’ sidekick and announcer on “The Late Show,” as the musical feature and event correspondent for “Entertainment Tonight,” and as the host of his own Emmy award-winning talk/variety show. Holmes was named “Best Male Celebrity Vocalist” in the BroadwayWorld.com New York Cabaret Awards and voted “Best Singer” by the readers of Las Vegas Review-Journal.
“The newly designed Palazzo Theatre is the perfect venue for the intimate performance that Clint Holmes is known to deliver,” said George Markantonis, president and chief operating officer of The Venetian, The Palazzo and Sands Expo.  “I’ve seen first-hand the talent that Clint brings to the stage, and I am certain our guests will be blown away by his show.”

Clint Holmes: Between The Lines will run Tuesday through Saturday at 10 p.m. in the Palazzo Theatre. Tickets start at $42.65 (with tax and fees included) and can be purchased at any box office at The Venetian or The Palazzo, at palazzo.com, or by calling (702) 414-9000 or (866) 641-7469.

Ticket prices start at $19
Reynolds Hall
Some of Las Vegas’ finest entertainers join hearts and voices in Reynolds Hall for one performance only to benefit The Smith Center’s Education and Outreach Programs.  God Lives in Glass is a popular musical theatre concert that features a funny, powerful, emotionally uplifting, and original score by Keith Thompson with musical styles ranging from pop to gospel, classical to blues, and reggae to R&B. Inspired by the drawings and stories of children from all over the world in Dr. Robert Landy’s book “God Lives in Glass,” this show is great for the whole family.

Keith Thompson will conduct a live orchestra while Philip Fortenberry’s virtuoso piano stylings take us through a wide variety of musical genres to create a truly remarkable musical experience. Cast members from some of Las Vegas’ best Broadway and production shows will join members of the Las Vegas community to create this superb musical and theatrical concert complete with a special appearance by the kids from Broadway in the Hood and the CLC Celebration Choir.

Dr. Robert Landy’s insightful book that inspired this musical examines the notion of God through the eyes and words of children from all over the world; from many different cultures, races, religions and nationalities. The result is humorous, provocative, and profound.

Golden Rainbow Announces Additional “Ribbon of Life” Performers

A limited number of tickets to the annual event are still available and start at $45

The 2015 “Ribbon of Life” production, Rockin’ the Ribbon, has added even more amazing talent. On Sunday, June 28 at The New Tropicana Las Vegas, audiences will see performances by Clint Holmes, Pia Zadora, Jan Rouven, Philip Drennen, House Seats Presents, RagTag Entertainment, and Celebrity City Chorus.

These talented performers will join stars from Las Vegas’ favorite shows including “ShowStoppers,” “Jubilee,” “Jersey Boys,” “Million Dollar Quartet,” “MJ Live,” “Legends in Concert,” “Pin Up,” “Vegas! The Show,” and more.

A limited number of tickets to the annual “Ribbon of Life” event are still available and start at $45. Keeping with the Rockin’ the Ribbon theme, Golden Rainbow will give away one pair of tickets and a two-night stay at The New Tropicana Las Vegas in a Facebook contest encouraging followers to rock their ribbons. To enter, people are encouraged to submit photos that show them creatively donning the signature red HIV/AIDS ribbon to RockYourRibbon@gmail.com. Deadline for submissions is Monday, June 22.

Rockin’ the Ribbon will benefit men, women, and children throughout the community who are affected by HIV/AIDS. The production will feature a wide variety of rock and roll themed numbers performed by stars of the Las Vegas Strip. The 29th annual “Ribbon of Life” event will be hosted by Edie (“Zumanity”) and Sean McAllister (“MORE” and “MORE Access”). The show will be immediately followed by an after party in the Havana Room, where attendees can mix and mingle with performers and partake in a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres.

“Ribbon of Life” was created 29 years ago by members of the Las Vegas entertainment community in response to seeing one of their own diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Tragically, due to fear and ignorance of the disease, he was forced to live, and eventually die, in his family’s garage. To raise prevention awareness and money to assist those affected by the disease, entertainers organized the show. The show, then called “Golden Rainbow,” led to the creation of the nonprofit organization. The annual event is one of the largest HIV/AIDS fundraisers in the state of Nevada and is Golden Rainbow’s main source of revenue.

Tickets are now on sale and sponsorship packages are available. For more information, visit www.goldenrainbow.org.
