TICKETS FOR BROOKLYN BOWL SHOW MARCH 1ST

The rock/roots trio of Chris Vos (guitar, lead vocals, harmonica), Alex Stiff (bass, guitar, vocals) and Marc Cazorla (drums, piano, vocals) has already been hailed by LA Weekly for “making bluesy music that would sound more at home in a sweaty, backwoods Mississippi juke joint,” while Time Out Los Angeles has described their sound as “reminiscent of some of the best acts of the ’50s and ’60s—like if John Lee Hooker and the Stooges had a well-behaved love child.”

“We have been influenced by early electric blues, so some of that influence certainly shows,” acknowledges Vos. “But we’re just as influenced by bands like the Stones and The Stooges as we are by blues legends like Hooker, Muddy Waters and Jimmy Reed.”

Wherever it comes from, Vos, Stiff and Cazorla have clearly come up with a fresh take on classic rock ‘n’ roll that has proven appeal: Their music, well ahead of a record deal, has been featured in over 30 commercial, film, and television placements including the theatrical trailer for Last Vegas and ads for Coors Light, Subaru, Showtime’s Shameless, ABC’s Nashville, CBS’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and a current ad for Miller Lite.

Meanwhile, The Record Company has developed a reputation as a live act worthy of sharing the stage with such top attractions as B.B. King, Grace Potter, Trombone Shorty, Buddy Guy, Charles Bradley, Robert Randolph, The Wood Brothers, Social Distortion, and Blackberry Smoke—with whom they toured the U.K. and Europe. On the strength of two EPs (Superdead, released in 2012, and Feels So Good, in 2013), the band received strong college and Triple A radio format airplay and performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival, Milwaukee’s Summerfest, NAPA Valley’s Bottlerock, Ottawa Folkfest, the Quebec City International Summer Festival and the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival.

“Our sound has a lot of early rock n’ roll but with a greater emphasis on the drums and bass,” says Vos. “We aim to make the speakers move with our recordings.”

The group writes, rehearses, records and mixes all of its music in the same living room in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Los Feliz where it originated.

“It all comes from our desire to write the best songs we can–and the most honest music that we can,” says Vos. “We try to mix in different elements to keep it fresh. For example, our song ‘On the Move’ has just harmonica, bass, and drums with no guitar. ‘Don’t Let Me Get Lonely’ has all acoustic instruments–including acoustic bass–to capture more of the rockabilly vibe that we dig, that is in so much of the stuff we listen to.”

The themes and stories in the lyrics of the songs are all draw from the threesome’s collective experiences.

“They are just stories we wanted to tell,” Vos continues. ”They can be simple or complex, depending on what the music is calling for. Music and melody usually precede the lyric for us.”

He notes, too, that each of The Record Company members play several instruments both live and on record.

“We work hard to incorporate them into the music as creatively as possible,” he says. “So besides the typical guitar, bass and drums, we also mix in harmonica, dobro slide, lap slide, pedal steel, piano, etc. It’s about making the right choices for the songs and keeping things as engaging as possible throughout the album–without compromising the integrity of the song.”

“Off the Ground” is the first single from Give It Back to You.

“It was one of the last songs we wrote for it,” continues Vos. “The opening riff is Alex playing slide on a bass with a little delay on it, then Marc comes in with the drums, and I come in with my old junky lap steel guitar that I love so much. I was trying to capture a Hound Dog Taylor-esque sound on the slide guitar. We wanted to give the bass a fresh approach so Alex started playing the riff with a slide and we loved the way it sounded.”

The song is already making noise, thanks to a music video and its usage in the Miller Lite commercial.

“It’s cool to have a song in a commercial for my dad’s favorite beer!” says Vos, who like Miller beer, hails from Wisconsin.

“I grew up on a working dairy farm in Wisconsin that my family still owns and runs. It is something I am very proud of: I grew up milking cows, driving tractors, and bailing hay. Then I moved out to L.A. in 2010 to chase the dream of writing and playing music full-time.”

Not knowing anyone in his new hometown, Vos started jamming around.

“I was jamming with some good people but I wanted a full-time thing, and ended up getting in touch with Alex. We hit it off as friends and he invited me to his pad to listen to some old vinyl records and hang out. It was there that I met Marc.”

They immediately recognized that they shared the same music tastes, and enjoyed jamming together. One night they listened to the classic John Lee Hooker-Canned Heat album Hooker N’ Heat, and were galvanized.

“Later that week I came back to Alex’s with an amp,” Vos recalls. “The three of us set up some microphones in the living room and recorded ourselves running through some songs. We were listening to the playback and decided right then and there that we had to be a band.”

After recording a few tunes, “we hunted down every email address we could and started mailing stuff out to everybody basically saying, ‘Hey! We just formed this band in our living room. Listen to this for five seconds.’ Out of those first recordings we got booked into the Montreal Jazz Festival and Harvest Festival in Canada, and got on our first tours.”

They settled on the band’s name after discovering that The Record Company was somehow available.

“We all agreed right away that it had to be the name,” says Vos. “Given the way we started, where we are from, and what we love to play, it makes perfect sense.”

But making records notwithstanding, it’s playing live that sets this Record Company apart.

“I always think of a performance as one less time on stage–not one more,” Vos concludes. “Nobody can say how many shows you get to play in your life. So we try to play our guts out, leave it all on the table, and have fun doing it.”

Glenn Danzig is a name that permeates, infects, and ultimately makes strong, the very soul of hard rock in the ’90s. Through the legendary punk charge of his pre-Danzig outfits Misfits and Samhain, Danzig formed the backbone of today’s mosh movement. Into the deep waves of the Danzig catalogue, and you’ve got a band that has created high-tension hybrids that are still being pondered and quietly adopted throughout today’s metal community. Over eight million records sold, and Danzig is about to unleash a multi-media onslaught that will once again find disciples studying the master. Cover album, “Skeletons,” is slated for a fall release and he is also working on new material for the follow up to 2010’s “Deth Red Sabaoth.”

Further Future 001: The Beginning was held last May at the Moapa River Indian Reservation against the stunning backdrop of the Mojave Desert. Featuring a breadth of international talent, FF001’s soundtrack included 70+ acclaimed musical acts, such as Bob Moses, Com Truise, Desert Sound Colony, Hundred Waters, John Tejada, Kiasmos, Little People, Miguel Migs, Nosaj Thing, Rhye, Rob Da Bank, The Orb, Thugfucker, Tim Hecker, Warpaint, and Zhu.
During the day, attendees listened to inspiring talks and participated in compelling workshops that explored the infinite possibilities of the future, all cast against a dreamy, sprawling desert landscape. Astro Teller, the head of Google(x) spoke about the future of technology. Tony Hsieh, the CEO of Zappos, discussed the future of cities and urban renewal. Alex Ljung and Eric Wahlforss, the founders of Soundcloud, pondered the future of music.

Duran Duran Announce Title and Release Date of Upcoming New Album – Tour Info – Las Vegas Life Is Beautiful Festival September 26th

DURAN DURAN ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM PAPER GODS

DUE SEPTEMBER 18TH IN THE U.S. FROM WARNER BROS. RECORDS AND SEPTEMBER 11TH IN ALL OTHER TERRITORIES

FIRST SINGLE IS “PRESSURE OFF,” FEATURING JANELLE MONÁE

MULTI-PLATINUM BAND ANNOUNCE U.S. AND U.K. 2015 TOUR DATES

Multi-platinum superstars Duran Duran will release their 14th studio album, Paper Gods in the U.S. on September 18th and in the rest of the world on September 11th through Warner Bros. Records. Singer Simon Le Bon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes, bassist John Taylor, and drummer Roger Taylor recorded the album in London with producers Nile Rodgers, Mark Ronson, Josh Blair, and Mr Hudson. The record features special guests Janelle Monáe (on the first single “Pressure Off”), former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante, Canadian Juno-Award winning singer Kiesza, British singer/songwriter Mr Hudson, violinist Davidé Rossi and actress Lindsay Lohan. The album was mixed by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent. Paper Gods will be available for pre-order and “Pressure Off” will be available for purchase at all participating digital retailers and DuranDuran.com this week.

The songs on Paper Gods capture the duality and sense of conflict at the heart of Duran Duran’s music. “It really goes back to that strange early Duran mix: the hard-edged pop, coexisting with this dark, weird, experimental side,” John says. “That’s something that’s essential to all of us,” Nick adds. “It’s great to be able to lift people’s spirits – and your own – with a strong shot of pure pop, but the world we live in isn’t all just made of that stuff, so it seems natural to me that we have kept one foot in the darker, more Gothic side of life.”

Early sessions for Paper Gods began in 2013, with Mark Ronson and engineer Josh Blair once again joining the band in their south London recording studio, as they had for 2011’s All You Need is Now, which was produced by Ronson. When Ronson was called away to begin working on his own album, Duran Duran and Blair hooked up with the Kanye West/Jay-Z collaborator Ben “Mr” Hudson, and the sessions caught fire.  In the summer of 2014, Ronson returned once more to the project, adding long-time Duran collaborator, Nile Rodgers to the mix for two of the album’s standout tracks.  The remaining songs were co-produced by Josh Blair and the band.

“We found a whole new level of inspiration on this album,” says Rhodes. “We’ve allowed ourselves the time to make music that we can be proud of,” adds Le Bon. “I judge what we release by my favourite albums – Horses, Harvest, Let It Bleed, Blue, Transformer, Aladdin Sane. Those are classic albums. The only rule is it’s got to be music you can live with for the rest of your life.”

CHIC co-founder Nile Rodgers and Mark Ronson co-wrote, and produced the tracks “Pressure Off” and Only in Dreams.”  Rodgers also features on the first single from what will be the band’s 14th studio release.  The former harks back to the taut funk of Duran Duran’s 1986 album Notorious, which was also co-produced by Rodgers. “Notorious was a strong touchstone for the band,” says Roger Taylor. All You Need is Now definitely reflected our earlier albums, but our starting point here was Notorious. We’re fortunate to be able to be inspired by our own back catalogue – not many bands can say that.”

In a collaboration overseen by China Chow, the band worked closely with Los Angeles-based artist Alex Israel, who created the album’s cover art. It features a collage of images that reference the visual history of Duran Duran, each placed like a sticker on a reproduction of Israel’s “Sky Backdrop” painting.  The logo and graphic design are by Brian Roettinger.

Alongside news of the new album, Duran Duran have also announced that they will perform a series of summer festivals, as well as several shows in the U.S. in September and October, followed by a UK arena tour that kicks off in late November. Fan Community members (www.duranduranmusic.com) will have access to pre-sale tickets and VIP packages.  Following the Duran Duran VIP member presale, in the UK, American Express Card Members will have the ability to purchase tickets before the general public on-sale. (See below for full details and dates).

Formed in Birmingham, England, in 1978, Duran Duran is one of the most culturally influential and commercially successful bands of all time, topping the charts around the world over the past three decades and selling more than 100 million records worldwide. The band has been honored with multiple Grammy, BRIT, Ivor Novello, and MTV Video Music Lifetime Achievement Awards, as well as a 20th Century Style Icon award from the City of Milan. In July, they will receive the Spotify UK Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s 40th Anniversary O2 Silver Clef Awards. WOVENWAR Recent Video “Death To Rights” From 2014 Self Titled Album – At House Of Blues Las Vegas February 22nd Supporting In Flames and All That Remains On The Charming America Tour

WOVERNWAR BIO ; Our choices define us. At heart, we choose between good and evil or right and wrong. It’s not predisposed, but rather something we learn through experience, life’s twists and turns, and the stops along the way. The very moniker WOVENWAR speaks to that truth.

“When we’re born, we’re innocent and blameless creatures with no hatred or judgment,” explains guitarist Nick Hipa. “Along the way, personality and perspective get cultivated. Hate, love, and other influences can be woven into you, but you ultimately choose your path. If you recognize the foundations, you can opt to live differently. It’s a struggle. That’s what the name signifies. It’s about recognizing that and choosing accordingly.”

In the spring of 2013, the members of As I Lay Dying-Nick, Phil Sgrosso [guitar], Josh Gilbert [bass, vocals], Jordan Mancino [drums]-made an important choice of their own. They had seen tremendous success, selling over one million albums, enjoying a Top 10 debut on the Billboard Top 200 with 2010’s The Powerless Rise and a Top 15 debut with 2012’s Awakened, and touring globally alongside the likes of Slipknot, Slayer, Suicide Silence, Killswitch Engage, and more. Facing tumultuous controversy related to their singer and a shattering foundation shakeup, these four musicians decided to press on and do what they do best.

“We had been playing music for our entire adult lives and working towards becoming a better band every year, and then our unit was extremely compromised,” sighs Nick. “The natural step was to let that be and work on something else. We felt like we had a lot to accomplish in terms of our writing and chemistry together. We still wanted to develop. A lot of bands quit because they lose their love for it. We loved it more than ever. That’s why we decided to form something under a new name with no pressure to be anything.”

As they traded song ideas back and forth, Nick reached out to a lifelong friend Shane Blay. The two grew up together in Dallas, TX and even played in Evelynn before Hipa joined As I Lay Dying. In between working with Oh, Sleeper, Shane had begun writing songs with Nick purely as a creative outlet a year prior. Given their existing bond, the transition to writing for WOVENWAR’s self-titled debut proved seamless.

“When everything went down, we started thinking of singers,” Phil goes on. “Nick was like, ‘What about Shane?’ We all wanted to be in a band with him. It was a no-brainer. There were no auditions or tryouts. We just started making music together, and it was very natural from the beginning.”

“I was excited to have the opportunity to play with these guys,” exclaims Shane. “From the first song we worked on, it felt like it was meant to be. I was right at home.”

With Shane officially in the fold, the quintet hit a San Diego studio to record the album with producer Bill Stevenson [Rise Against, NOFX], who helmed Awakened. Immediately, they collectively tapped into a sound that picked up where they left off, while forging new territory altogether.

“It’s more dynamic,” exclaims Phil. “There’s a hard rock element to it. We wanted to utilize Shane’s voice and go bigger. That was important. There’s a different energy, and we got to explore more sounds. It feels more alive than ever. This is the most exciting thing we’ve done. We wanted to keep it familiar but take risks here and there.”

“As I Lay Dying had its sound,” adds Nick. “We expanded it, but we never branched out too far. We could do anything we wanted to here. We just wanted to continue to write music that inspired us.”

It’ll undoubtedly inspire others as well though. The first single “All Rise” threads together precise riffing with Shane’s magnetic vocals, landing a huge chorus in between incendiary instrumentation. It serves as the perfect link between the musicians’ past output and the future.

Shane states, “I felt like the music industry was sucking the life out of me. Then, WOVENWAR happened. It was a chance to do something else and not give up. That’s what the song is about.”

“It bridges the gap between the old and the new,” affirms Nick. “It related to what we were going through in life. We were pretty dejected. We spent over a decade building something, and it had fallen apart. When you find yourself in a situation in which you really have no control over, you have to be optimistic in the way you respond because all you can control is your response. It’s a great introduction to the band.”

Elsewhere on the album, “Tempest” showcases the band’s dynamics, breaking the boundaries of heavy music in the process with palpable melodies. “All of my friends initially made it in music, and I was the guy who didn’t,” admits Shane. “I needed to inspire myself to get up and keep working at it. This was my call-to-arms.”

Meanwhile, the closer “Prophets” begins with elegant acoustic guitars before building into the album’s most dramatic and defining moment. “It’s about wrestling with the notion of blind faith,” says Nick. “It details seeking a transformation, and it challenges the idea of people speaking about matters we don’t absolutely know of. There’s no authority there. That’s faith.”

Ultimately, WOVENWAR deliver an introductory statement that’s bound to send shockwaves throughout heavy music.

Shane concludes, “Something good can come from misfortune. You have to always keep on going. These guys went through so much, and they’re still pushing ahead. I hope this inspires people to keep doing whatever they love to do.”

Nick leaves off, “We dealt with a lot personally while making this album. The way we always handled things was to write music and put ourselves into something that could speak louder. We put ourselves into this one hundred percent. Hopefully, that comes across.” – Rick Florino, May 2014

“One month into our stay, we’d managed to dispatch most of our charges. We executed the chickens. One of the cats disappeared, clearly disgusted with our urban ways. And Lucky [the cow] was escaping almost daily. It seemed we didn’t have much of a talent for farming. And we still had eleven months to go.” Antonia Murphy, you might say, is an unlikely farmer. Born and bred in San Francisco, she spent much of her life as a liberal urban cliché, and her interactions with the animal kingdom rarely extended past dinner. But then she became a mother. And when her eldest son was born with a rare, mysterious genetic condition, she and her husband, Peter, decided it was time to slow down and find a supportive community. So the Murphys moved to Purua, New Zealand – a rural area where most residents maintained private farms, complete with chickens, goats, and (this being New Zealand) sheep. The result was a comic disaster, and when one day their son had a medical crisis, it was also a little bit terrifying.

Dirty Chick chronicles Antonia’s first year of life as an artisan farmer. Having bought into the myth that farming is a peaceful, fulfilling endeavor that allows one to commune with nature and live the way humans were meant to live, Antonia soon realized that the reality is far dirtier and way more disgusting than she ever imagined. Among the things she learned the hard way: Cows are prone to a number of serious bowel ailments, goat mating involves an astounding amount of urine, and roosters are complete and unredeemable assholes. But for all its traumas, Antonia quickly embraced farm life, getting drunk on homemade wine (it doesn’t cause hangovers!), making cheese (except for the cat hair, it’s a tremendously satisfying hobby), and raising a baby lamb (which was addictively cute until it grew into a sheep).

Known as one of the hardest working bands out there, Like A Storm fought hard to be heard. The New Zealand brothers came to the United States knowing no one, and built a diehard and devoted fan-base by tirelessly touring to promote their debut album, The End of The Beginning with top acts such as Alter Bridge, Shinedown & Creed. In the midst of that whirlwind, the road served as the foundation for their forthcoming sophomore set, and first album for Another Century Records, Awaken The Fire.
While supporting Creed on a summer 2012 run, the band— Chris Brooks [lead vocals, guitar, didgeridoo, keys/programming], Matt Brooks [vocals, lead guitar, keys/programming], and Kent Brooks [bass, vocals, keys/programming]—would immediately retreat to either their dressing room or hotel after each show and begin recording new music until daybreak. This intense work ethic fostered a fertile creative spell for the boys.
“We were growing as a band and getting inspired by life on the road,” Chris explains. “We never stopped writing as we were touring. Our fans were hungry for new music, and we were hungry to put something out. We didn’t want to sit around and wait to see which label came knocking at our door. So, we decided to make the album ourselves, produce it, tour it, and preserve this awesome connection we’re lucky to have with our fans. We made a mobile studio rig and brought it everywhere.”
Cut on the road, their new hit single “Love The Way You Hate Me” began to make waves on its own. Midwest radio station “The Banana” in Flint, MI started spinning it, and it eventually spent four consecutive weeks at #1, owning the station’s “cage match”. Organically, other stations picked up the track, such as KIBZ in Lincoln, adding it to regular rotation. Soon, Sirius XM’s rock station, Octane caught wind of it as well, and it seized #1 on their nationwide Big ‘Uns countdown for five weeks. The single eventually went Top 30 on the US active rock charts, a major achievement for a completely independent band, and making them the first New Zealand group to ever do so.
It’s no surprise though. “Love The Way You Hate Me” slides from a gnashing guitar and entrancing electronic flourishes into a genuinely unshakable refrain. As the musical madness subsides, it breaks into a warped and wild didgeridoo breakdown, heralding the band’s proper arrival.
“The lyrics are important,” Chris goes on. “It’s funny when we walk through a truck stop or pull over at a diner for some food because everybody turns their heads and looks at us. We were in some tiny town, and someone muttered, ‘Freaks’, as we were walking past them. It really stuck with us. It’s such a great thing to be different and have the freedom to live the life you want to live, rather than conforming to everyone’s idea of who you should be. The song’s about being true to yourself.”
As “Love The Way You Hate Me” exploded at airwaves, Century Media reached out and signed the group in 2014. They immediately jumped back into recording, converting a remote lake house in Michigan into a recording studio and self-producing Awaken The Fire. As a result of this approach, Like A Storm fully realized their sound.
“We’re making the music we want to make,” the singer exclaims. “There are no rules when we’re writing except the three of us have to love whatever we’re doing. We push it creatively. We love to see how far we can take things. That’s the sound of Like A Storm.”
Songs like “Six Feet Under” deliver the requisite hard-hitting hooks and kinetic rhythms. Chris adds, “That’s about the ups and downs of life in the music industry. We had come up against wall after wall. But we never gave up. It doesn’t matter what’s in our way. We’ll break through it.”
At the same time, they experimented with “Gangster’s Paradise”. Like A Storm added a torrent of rock ‘n’ roll bombast to the Coolio classic, updating it for a new generation.
“We heard the intro to the song somewhere,” recalls Chris. “We all agreed it’s one of the coolest intros ever. There’s just this dark vibe. We joked like, ‘A band could do a really awesome cover of that song!’ Then, I said, ‘Well, you know we do play in a band. Let’s give it a crack’. The result was awesome. Lyrically, it’s about as far away from our lifestyle as you could possibly get, but it was really fulfilling and freeing creatively. We saw our own musical identity by reinterpreting this song.”
Like A Storm also continue to deliver on the road. They’ve toured with everybody from Alter Bridge and Shinedown to Puddle of Mudd and Drowning Pool, and played high-profile festivals alongside Korn and Five Finger Death Punch. However, they begin their biggest and boldest chapter now.
“Musically, we want to inspire and empower people,” Chris leaves off. “We write songs about the things we feel strongly about, things that really matter to us. It’s amazing that we’ve made an impact. We came from the other side of the world, and we’re living our dream. If that inspires someone, that’s incredible.”

bradsandersonfireflightWritten by: Brandon Sanderson
Narrated by: MacLeod Andrews
Length: 11 hrs and 36 mins
Series: Reckoners, Book 2
Unabridged Audiobook
Release Date:01-06-15

Brandon Sanderson, the number one New York Times best-selling author of Words of Radiance, co-author of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series, and creator of the internationally best-selling Mistborn Trilogy, presents the second book in the Reckoners series: Firefight, the sequel to the #1 best seller Steelheart. Newcago is free. They told David it was impossible, that even the Reckoners had never killed a High Epic. Yet Steelheart – invincible, immortal, unconquerable – is dead. And he died by David’s hand.

Eliminating Steelheart was supposed to make life simpler. Instead, it only made David realize he has questions. Big ones. And no one in Newcago can give him answers.

Babylon Restored, the city formerly known as the borough of Manhattan, has possibilities, though. Ruled by the mysterious High Epic Regalia, Babylon Restored is flooded and miserable, but David is sure it’s the path that will lead him to what he needs to find. Entering a city oppressed by a High Epic despot is risky, but David’s willing to take the gamble. Because killing Steelheart left a hole in David’s heart. A hole where his thirst for vengeance once lived. Somehow, he filled that hole with another Epic – Firefight. And now he will go on a quest darker and even more dangerous than the fight against Steelheart to find her, and to get his answers.

The Eloquent Bob Kulick – Full Interview On The Social Media Show – From Apples To Nuts

bobkulick

Here is the Bob Kulick full interview on The Social Media Show. Bob discusses how the music business has changed from word of mouth and artist to artist referrals to modern social media communication. Bob has seemingly seen it all and done it all. From the Beatles to Motorhead and everything in between. Look for some of Bobs unique new projects soon. He spends a lot of time in Vegas and hopes to become a resident here someday soon. Las Vegas will be a far better place if that happens. Such a great guy and so wonderful to talk to.

About Bob Kulick – https://www.facebook.com/bob.kulick.75
Bob Kulick is an American guitarist and Grammy Award-winning record producer, best known for his studio work with Kiss. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and is the older brother of former Kiss lead guitarist Bruce Kulick, whom he suggested Kiss hire.

At a very young age, Bob Kulick once gave a young Jimi Hendrix a spare guitar string when he broke his during an audition in New York City. Kulick took a chance in 1973 and auditioned for the lead guitar spot in a then-new band called Kiss. The band, with Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss, were very impressed by his performance, but it was the glitzier Ace Frehley (who auditioned immediately after him) who was chosen to fill the spot. He later played (uncredited) on four Kiss albums: Alive II (three of the five studio tracks), Unmasked (played Lead Guitar on Naked City), Killers (all four new studio tracks), and some minimal work on Creatures of the Night. He also played on Paul Stanley’s 1978 solo album and on his 1989 solo tour.

Early in his session career, Bob Kulick played lead guitar for Lou Reed on his Coney Island Baby record. Kulick followed this up with a long-running stint in the Neverland Express, Meat Loaf’s touring band, on and off for years, which led to appearances on several Meat Loaf albums, most notably on 1984’s Bad Attitude. He also formed a band called Balance, with Peppy Castro (formerly of the Blues Magoos) and Doug Katsaros (multi-platinum recording arranger and Broadway conductor), which had modest chart success in the early 1980s, followed up by playing rhythm and lead guitar on Michael Bolton’s 1983 self-titled album.

Bob was involved with a project called Skull, releasing one album, No Bones About It, in 1991. Bruce Kulick, his brother, who would become a member of KISS, co-wrote one song and appeared as a guest guitarist on another track. In addition, Kulick played on the W.A.S.P. albums The Crimson Idol and Still Not Black Enough. He was only involved with the studio work and never toured with W.A.S.P. or became a member of the band. In 1996 he released Murderer’s Row with his band of the same name. This group included David Glen Eisley (of Giuffria and Dirty White Boy) on vocals.

Since then, Kulick has served in various side projects such as Blackthorne and Observation Balloon. He also produced Motörhead’s “Whiplash” (winner of the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance), produced and played guitar on the theme for WWE wrestler Triple H, and has earned 11 platinum or gold records working with Kiss and Diana Ross. Kulick also composed, produced and performed “Sweet Victory” with singer David Glen Eisley and Eric Singer of KISS in the SpongeBob SquarePants episode “Band Geeks” on Nickelodeon. The song further appears on SpongeBob SquarePants: The Yellow Album. Source – Wikipedia
