The Original MISFITS join PSYCHO LAS VEGAS 2019 Lineup 💀

The Original MISFITS join PSYCHO LAS VEGAS 2019 Lineup– added as Saturday Headliner to America’s Most Anticipated Summer Festival

Iconic band makes rare festival appearance this August at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, joining the likes of Opeth, Electric Wizard, Bad Religion, Clutch, Beach House and more

The Original MISFITS featuring original singer/songwriter Glenn Danzig and original bassist Jerry Only, ride again in Las Vegas! The legendary band returns to Sin City to headline PSYCHO LAS VEGAS 2019 on Saturday, Aug. 17 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. This all-in move is no bluff, PSYCHO LAS VEGAS hosts one of the year’s best festival lineups with the addition of the Original MISFITS. The band will be making only their second-ever festival appearance since reuniting in 2016 for a handful of special engagements. PSYCHO LAS VEGAS is no stranger to the bold and daring – making waves across the festival scene since the announcement of its move to Mandalay Bay for the seventh edition of the annual rock n’ roll pilgrimage. This year’s PSYCHO LAS VEGAS will also play host to Opeth’s only 2019 U.S. performance, the return of fan favorites Electric Wizard and High on Fire, and more than 70 other artists from around the world gracing four stages at the majestic resort August 16-18.

From the time of their first gig in 1977, the MISFITS and their iconic imagery went on to become one of the most crucially influential, genre-defying bands to ever emerge from North America. The MISFITS’ significance extends well beyond the narrowed path of punk rock, metal and hardcore. Although not cognizant of how significant they would become, what the Original MISFITS achieved in their initial seven-year window deconstructed and redefined rock music.

The MISFITS with Danzig’s anthemic songs and unmistakable voice, Only’s ferocious bass sound and the Original MISFITS melody-induced choruses and authentically bruising musicianship, cemented their importance with all ensuing generations. Now, legions of diehard fans from around the world will have the opportunity to hear the original band that forges a level of intensity unprecedented in the new millennium.

More than 70 bands will grace four stages at Mandalay Bay over the three-day festival, including the newly renovated Mandalay Bay Events Center; the iconic House of Blues Las Vegas; Mandalay Bay Beach, featuring a wave pool and lazy river; and Rhythm & Riffs, a Vegas-style lounge in the middle of the casino floor. While VIP High Roller passes quickly sold out, three-day General Admission tickets are available for $249 (excluding tax and fees) in addition to single-day tickets for $109 plus fees per day. Tickets can be purchased at VivaPsycho.com and AXS.com. Discount room rates at Mandalay Bay and various MGM Resorts hotels are available through this link.

Kicking off the three-day PSYCHO LAS VEGAS festival is Psycho Swim, an all-day music filled pool party at DAYLIGHT Beach Club at Mandalay Bay scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 15. Tickets are included in the VIP High Roller package, otherwise are separate from the three-day festival and now on sale for $35 (excluding tax and fees) for those 21 years of age and older.

Megadeth and Opeth Join Electric Wizard to Headline
America’s Rock N’ Roll Bacchanal, PSYCHO LAS VEGAS 2019 at
Mandalay Bay August 16 – 18

Select amount of popular “High Roller” VIP tickets were just added after quickly selling out with initial release

PSYCHO LAS VEGAS continues to make waves as it announces its full artist lineup for this year’s festival at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino August 16 – 18, 2019. From Opeth’s only U.S. performance of 2019 and Megadeth performing their only Vegas show of the year, to the return of fan favorite Electric Wizard, the lineup is sure to create one for the record books. Four stages with more than 65 bands will rock the resort as both first-time and veteran acts bring the biggest and most electrifying PSYCHO LAS VEGAS music fest to life:

  • Megadeth: One of heavy metal’s all-time most successful acts, Big Four legends Megadeth will thrash their way through Psycho for the first time this year, marking their only Las Vegas appearance of 2019. With 15 albums under their belts and another coming later this year, Megadeth will surely be one of the weekend’s highlights for young heads and veterans alike.
  • Opeth: Conceived within the mind of grand mage Mikael Akerfeldt, the forlorn and whimsical alchemy of Swedish melodeath-turned-prog rock outfit Opeth has mutated constantly across their 25-year legacy. One constant within their music, however, has been its lasting ability to touch the hearts and minds of their fans, no matter the intensity or timbre. Psycho-goers this year will have the incredible fortune of witnessing Opeth’s only U.S. appearance of 2019 and their first appearance at the festival.
  • Electric Wizard: For those counting the days until the return of British occult legends Electric Wizard, one of stoner-doom’s foremost pioneering acts, the group will once again appear at PSYCHO LAS VEGAS after three long years to liquify your brain with their deafeningly fuzzy odes to Satan, witchcraft and the almighty marijuana flower.
  • Beach House: Formed in 2004, Baltimore’s dreamy, deeply psychedelic indie pop duo Beach House have been steadily climbing the elusive ladder of alternative stardom since their breakout 2010 Sub Pop debut Teen Dream. Still riding off the success of their latest release 7, Beach House will bring their sunny, relaxed, effervescent textures to the sweltering arid lands of Las Vegas for Psycho 2019.
  • Mogwai: One of most enduring entities within their genre, Scotland’s post-rock forerunners Mogwai round out the more melancholy, contemplative aesthetic side to Psycho 2019. Having released one studio album every three years for the past decade, Mogwai also is one of post-rock’s most consistent groups, and will undoubtedly deliver one of the weekend’s most moving performances.
  • Mark Lanegan Band: Emanating from Seattle’s ’90s grunge rock scene as frontman for Screaming Trees, who has collaborated with the likes of Kurt Cobain and Chris Cornell and has gone on to have a storied career with multiple collaborations, will take the stage with his namesake band.
  • Dead Meadow: One of the 21st century’s most prolific psych rock groups, D.C.’s Dead Meadow has been consistently serving up their lush, dripping, fuzz-laden grooves since the release of their landmark self-titled debut LP in 2000. With their deft combination of righteous vintage psychedelia and deliciously heavy stoner riffs, the group has gone down in history as one of the founders of a major movement in modern psych.
  • Triumph of Death: From the tortured mind of Swiss black metal pioneer Thomas Gabriel Fischer comes Triumph of Death, a brand new outfit established for the sole purpose of the exhumation of classic material from Fischer’s long-defunct outfit Hellhammer. Having disbanded in 1984 to form the massively influential Celtic Frost, many of Hellhammer’s songs will see their first-ever live performance in over 30 years during Triumph of Death’s appearance at PSYCHO LAS VEGAS, which also will stand as the group’s first U.S. performance.
  • Andrew W.K.: This August, the immortal party animal strikes again! Closing out Sunday night with his characteristically fun-loving and energetic DJ set, prolific entertainer Andrew W.K. will once again take his place behind the decks to spin a late night set close out the weekend. Be sure to keep an eye out for his friendly, exuberant, slightly unsettling grin!

Additional bands include: 1349, Full of Hell, Vio-Lence, Grails, Twin Temple, Monophonics, Polyrhythmics, Electric Citizen, Motorbabe, Levitation Room and Mother Mercury.

These bands join the list of previously announced PSYCHO LAS VEGAS 2019 acts: Electric Wizard, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Clutch, Bad Religion, High On Fire, The Black Angels, Carcass, Triumph of Death, The Faint, Cold Cave, Glassjaw, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Fu Manchu, Deafheaven, Graveyard, En Minor, Old Man Gloom, Power Trip, Rotting Christ, Goatwhore, Oranssi Pazuzu, Black Mountain, Perturbator, Tobacco, Nothing, Soft Kill, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, YOB, The Obsessed, Kadavar, Amenra, Grails, Truckfighters, Candy, Warhorse, Night Horse, Devilmaster, Ilsa, Hangman’s Chair, DVNE, LA Witch, Royal Thunder and Tomb Mold.

The PSYCHO LAS VEGAS full lineup announcement follows the recent announcement of Psycho Swim, an all-day music filled pool party at DAYLIGHT Beach Club at Mandalay Bay Thursday, Aug. 15 featuring Corrosion of Conformity, Lucifer, Danava, ASG, Primitive Man, Idle Hands, Howling Giant and Thrown Into Exile. Tickets are included in the VIP High Roller PACKAGE, OTHERWISE are separate from the three-day festival and on sale now for $35 (excluding tax and fees) for those 21 years of age and older.

A select amount of VIP High Roller passes were just added in conjunction with this insane lineup and are available in addition to the three-day General Admission tickets at Tier 1 pricing for $249 (excluding tax and fees). Tickets can be purchased at VivaPsycho.com and AXS.com. Discount room rates at Mandalay Bay and various MGM Resorts hotels are available through this link.

About Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas
Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, the brand’s third location, boasts three levels spanning over 80,000 square feet and is one of the largest performance venues of its class in America. Early on, People Magazine projected the venue as “on the fast path to being Vegas’ über cool place” and in 2015 cracked the top 20 in Pollstar’s Top 200 Club Venues for Worldwide Ticket Sales. Located on The LINQ Promenade, the open-air district in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, the multi-dimensional space boasts 32 lanes of bowling, six on-site bars and rockin’ comfort food by the world-renowned Bromberg Brothers’ Blue Ribbon Restaurants, including their iconic Fried Chicken celebrated on Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate.” On any given night, more than 2,000 concertgoers can enjoy live music programming from the general admission area, the luxurious bowlers’ lounges adjacent to the lanes, or the private lounge boxes overlooking it all. Since opening in March 2014, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas has seen notable performances by Jack White, Disclosure, Alabama Shakes, Modest Mouse, Robert Plant, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Roots and Jane’s Addiction.

PRIMUS AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
WITH THE FUNGI ENSEMBLE
WITH SPECIAL GUEST CLUTCH

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4 AT 8 P.M.

Tickets on sale Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m.

Primus and the Chocolate Factory with The Fungi Ensemble with special guest Clutch will transform The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino into an imagination wonderland on Friday, September 4. Tickets are on sale Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m.

The Grammy-nominated experimental rock group consists of Primus’ reunited lineup, Les Claypool (vocals and bass), Larry LaLonde (guitar) and Tim Alexander (drums). In the summer of 1971, Claypool was a couple months shy of his eighth birthday when David L. Wolper’s Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory debuted in movie theaters. Like many people of a certain age and temperament, the movie became a perennial favorite that he would come back to repeatedly throughout different stages of his life.

Claypool’s love for the story, its creativity and soundtrack inspired him to host a Willy Wonka-themed Primus concert on New Year’s Eve in 2013, and the band hasn’t looked back. The group took to the studio to produce their next album, Primus and the Chocolate Factory with The Fungi Ensemble, which was released October 21, 2014, and is now touring its imaginative production throughout the U.S. and Europe.

“The whole thing just unfolded,” says Claypool, who produced the album himself. “It was a very easy and pleasant project. It wasn’t like we sat and scratched our heads… every song was all wrapped around how I would interpret the vocals, for the most part, because that was the most challenging thing.”

Maryland heavy rockers, Clutch, are also known for their inventive, boundary-pushing music. The group’s music has achieved notable ranks on the iTunes and Billboard charts, and their album Earth Rocker was awarded “Album of The Year” in 2013 by Metal Hammer magazine and garnered a Top 10 spot on Rolling Stone’s “20 Best Metal Albums of 2013.”

Tickets start at $42.50 (plus applicable service fees) and go on sale Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. at the Hard Rock Hotel box office, by calling 888.9.AXS.TIX or online at www.axs.com. For VIP ticket packages including premium seating options, please contact jointvip@hrhvegas.com. For groups of 12 or more, please call 702.693.4017 or contact darnson@hrhvegas.com.
