LEGENDARY ROCK BAND THE WHO
ANNOUNCE SIX SHOWS AT THE COLOSSEUM
AT CAESARS PALACE MAY 5 – 16, 2020

Legendary rock band The Who have announced they’ll be moving on in 2020 with more tour dates. Not quite ready to close the books on their acclaimed MOVING ON! TOUR, singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist/songwriter Pete Townshend pair with local symphony orchestras across North America for a once-in-a-lifetime rock experience, as hailed by critics. The band will return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for a series of six shows May 5, 7, 9, 12, 14 and 16, 2020.

Tickets starting at $69 go on sale to the general public starting Friday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. PST at ticketmaster.com or in-person at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace box office. The Who fan club members will have access to a presale beginning Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. PST.

Citi is the official presale credit card for The Who’s MOVING ON! TOUR. As such, Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Monday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. PST through Citi EntertainmentSM. For complete presale details visit www.citientertainment.com.

In addition, Caesars Rewards members, Caesars Entertainment’s loyalty program, as well as Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers will have access to a presale beginning Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. PST. All presales end Thursday, Dec. 12 at 10 p.m. PST. All shows are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., with the exception of the show on May 16, which will begin at 9:30 p.m.

As always, the upcoming shows will feature The Who’s full live band comprised of guitarist/backup singer Simon Townshend, keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button, drummer Zak Starkey and backing vocals by Billy Nicholls along with orchestra conductor Keith Levenson, lead violinist Katie Jacoby and lead cellist Audrey Snyder, passionately delivering The Who’s many classics. As well as some songs from The Who’s brand new album, titled WHO, their first full-length album in 13 years, available everywhere this Friday, December 6. The recent single ‘All This Music Must Fade,’ has also drawn praise as “The Who’s defiant post-script” by The New York Times. A recent Rolling Stone feature proclaimed the album a worthy addition to their canon, noting the above-mentioned track and “Street Song,” citing “Daltrey’s anguished vocal” as “among the more moving performances of his career.”

Local symphonies will again be joining The Who for the 2020 shows, putting their indelible stamp on the music’s timelessness in support of Roger and Pete’s trademark emotional power. The 2019 spring and fall legs of the MOVING ON! TOUR generated the most unanimous outpouring of acclaim from critics and fans of any live rock show this year, winning raves across North America for the orchestral dynamic as well as the duo’s cathartic rock firepower and intimate acoustic numbers. “They’re not getting older. They’re getting better. You better, you better, you bet.” hailed the Worcester Telegram, with Pollstar Magazine affirming “Daltrey is in peak form, and so is Townshend, lavishing his trademarked windmill guitar motion.”

Produced by Live Nation, The Who’s North American MOVING ON! TOUR brought the band’s iconic brand of incomparable rock through 29 cities, including a rollicking sold-out barn-burner in Boston’s famed Fenway Park, and a memorable Seattle show where Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder joined them onstage for a rousing version of “The Punk And the Godfather,” with Eddie’s wife and daughter in attendance.  The tour also wound down in grand style, with a series of October shows at LA’s historic Hollywood Bowl, the first time the band played three dates at the landmark venue during one touring cycle.

For more information about The Who’s 2020 dates, visit LiveNation.com or thewho.com.

$1 from each ticket sold for the MOVING ON! TOUR will benefit Teen Cancer America .

THE WHO

The Who are one of the top three greatest rock legacies in music history. Their music provoked explosive change and spanned what many critics declare is rock’s most elastic creative spectrum, with Pete Townshend’s songwriting moving between raw, prosaic, conceptual, and expressively literate. Their visionary sense of stagecraft headed by Roger Daltrey’s soaring vocal prowess is topped off by the band’s blistering rhythm section. With both Roger and Pete delivering their memoirs in recent years (Pete’s Who I Am was released to much acclaim in 2012, and Roger’s autobiography, Thanks A Lot Mr. Kibblewhite; My Story, was embraced by critics in 2018) it’s fitting that the two remaining WHO members have shared their incredible legacy in literary fashion, for few bands have had a more lasting impact on the rock era and the reverberating pop culture than The Who.

Emerging in the mid-1960s as a new and incendiary force in rock n’ roll, their brash style and poignant storytelling garnered them one of music’s most passionate followings, with the legendary foursome blazing a searing new template for rock, punk, and everything after. Inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall Of Fame in 1990, the band has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, placing 27 top-forty singles in the United States and United Kingdom and earning 17 Top Ten albums, including the 1969 groundbreaking rock opera Tommy, 1971’s pummeling Live At Leeds, 1973’s Quadrophenia and 1978’s Who Are You.  The Who debuted in 1964 with a trio of anthems “I Can’t Explain,” “The Kids Are Alright” and “My Generation.” Since then they have delivered to the world hits such as “Baba O’Riley,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” “Pinball Wizard,” Who Are You,” and,” You Better You Bet.”

In 2008, they became the first rock band ever to be awarded the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors. The Who has performed all over the world including global music events for the Super Bowl XLIV Halftime Show in 2010 and closing the London 2012 Summer Olympics. The Who continued their charity work by playing a concert in January 2011 to raise money for trials of a new cancer treatment called PDT. In December 2012 they performed at the Hurricane Sandy Benefit in New York. In January 2014 they played a set on the U.S. television special to support the charity Stand Up To Cancer. In November 2012 Daltrey, with Townshend at his side, launched Teen Cancer America. The charity is now established in the USA, with offices in Los Angeles and devoted Teen Cancer units being opened in hospitals all over the U.S. TCA’s work has impacted over 5,000 young people and their families nationwide during the last six years.

“The Oak Ridge Boys got their own little Christmas miracle while recording their new holiday album…”
– Deborah Evans Price, Billboard Magazine

“If the holiday season is all about long-held traditions, then pushing play on an Oak Ridge Boys Christmas album should absolutely be up there with spiking the eggnog, arguing with your crazy uncle and watching “A Christmas Story” for 24 hours straight.”
– Kelly Dearmore, Sounds Like Nashville

“Cobb puts the signature vocal harmonies of the four Oaks out front, a wise approach that works well on ‘Down Home Christmas.’”
– Allan Sculley, TRIB LIVE

GRAMMY® Award-winning and Country Music Hall of Fame members, The Oak Ridge Boys, released a new video today for “Don’t Go Pullin’ On Santa Claus’ Beard,” the second song from their 8th holiday themed album, Down Home Christmas, from Lightning Rod Records/Thirty Tigers and is available now everywhere music is sold.

SoundsLikeNashville.com exclusively premiered the merry and cheerful video which features a cameo appearance by the album’s Producer, Dave Cobb, marking the 3rd collaboration between the famed Nashville hit-maker and country music’s all-time greatest vocal quartet.

“We told songwriter Aaron Raitiere that we needed a fun Santa song, and almost immediately he and Anderson East wrote ‘Don’t Go Pullin’ On Santa Claus Beard,’” said singer, Joe Bonsall. “Aaron wrote or co-wrote six songs on Down Home Christmas and it was like old Nashville again. Writers would bring us a song and we would record it while they wrote another one. It was all magic and our producer Dave Cobb led us all the way! Quality songwriters writing great songs. It was all really fun! This song is now one of the highlights in our Christmas tour.”

Down Home Christmas also includes standards such as “Amazing Grace” and “Silent Night,” plus new originals like “South Alabama Christmas,” written by Jamey Johnson, Bill Anderson and Buddy Cannon.

Billboard Magazine premiered the “Reindeer On The Roof” video [click to watch/view], the album’s first single, another fun and festive original tune which puts Oaks bass singer Richard Sterban at the vocal helm. Shot on location in Nashville’s famed Santa’s Pub, the video features cameo appearances by John Rich, Dennis Quaid and Jamey Johnson.

Better Noise Music is an artist development company that creates and markets entertainment content across various media platforms. Of the band’s recent signing to the label, managers Berko Pearce and Scott Sheldon of RM64 say “It’s exciting to partner with a label that’s at the forefront of marketing in the new streaming era, and that has a proven track record of helping their artists reach bigger audiences.  We’ve been enjoying working with the BETTER NOISE team on an integrated strategy across streaming, touring and radio, and we’re eager to launch AWOLNATION’s next projects with them.”

Aaron Bruno, the songwriter and architect behind AWOLNATION, says of the new single, which will also kick off the new album, “I’m always on the journey to improving myself, but all along, knowing it’s close to impossible to really be the best at anything. And what does it mean to be the best? And does that really matter? Or maybe it is more about the journey and acceptance of comfort within one’s own existence”

The music video for “The Best,” directed by Amalia Irons, also helps to tell the beginning of the new album’s story and introduce one of the main characters. “I wanted to make a video that felt like some of my favorite childhood adventure movies and create something that has a magical feeling of the autumn season,” says Bruno of the video.

Aaron Bruno, the songwriter and architect behind AWOLNATION, wrote and recorded one of the most influential songs of the current decade with the chart-topping, record-breaking track “Sail.” The first single off the platinum Megalithic Symphony (2011), “Sail” is certified Diamond (10 million) and holds the record for the most weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by an independent artist, the second longest for any artist.

The debut album also produced the Gold certified “Not Your Fault” and two other Top 10 US singles.  AWOLNATION released the sophomore album Run in 2015 and 2018’s follow up Here Come The Runts. Across the span of three albums, AWOLNATION has notched seven Top 5 alternative radio hits, including two No. 1s, and has accumulated millions of sales, downloads and more than 1.5 billion streams globally. The music has been used in dozens of films, television shows and commercials around the world, and songs have been the genesis of viral sensations garnering hundreds of millions of streams and views across platforms like Instagram, Vine, TikTok, YouTube, etc.

About Andrew McMahon
Raised on the East Coast and in the Midwest, McMahon began writing songs at age nine, drawing inspiration from singer/songwriter/pianists such as Elton John and Billy Joel. While still in high school, McMahon co-founded an early incarnation of pop-punk band Something Corporate, whose 2002 major-label debut hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers Chart. In 2004, he formed Jack’s Mannequin and then-on the cusp of releasing the band’s 2005 debut-was diagnosed with leukemia at age 22. Eventually fully recovering, McMahon went on to release two more studio albums with Jack’s Mannequin, in addition to composing songs for the NBC series Smash (an endeavor that earned him an Emmy Award nomination in 2013) and established The Dear Jack Foundation, one of the first Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) specific cancer foundations which advocates for and supports initiatives that benefit AYAs diagnosed with cancer. In 2014, he released Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness which featured the gold certified single “Cecilia and the Satellite.” His television appearances include Today Show, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live. McMahon lives in Los Angeles with his wife of 10 years Kelly and their daughter Cecilia, for whom the hit song was penned. http://www.dearjackfoundation.org/

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Welcomes Dierks Bentley For Weekend Run at The Chelsea, Feb. 14 & 15

DIERKS BENTLEY TAKES BURNING MAN TOUR TO LAS VEGAS FOR WEEKEND RUN AT THE COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS FEB. 14 AND FEB. 15

Tickets for Both Back-to-Back Nights with Special Guest Caylee Hammack on Sale this Friday, Nov. 8

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas announced today that current three-time CMA nominee Dierks Bentley will bring his BURNING MAN TOUR to The Chelsea for one weekend only on Feb. 14 and 15, 2020. Known for his genuine performance and full-throttle production, the seasoned-entertainer will deliver his authentic set during two back-to-back nights with special guest Caylee Hammack.

Pegged as “one of Country music’s most enviable brands, equal parts affability and authenticity” (Forbes), Bentley continues to be a dominant voice for the genre with over 6.4 billion overall digital streams. Reaching a new creative high while “making music designed to challenge” (New York Times), Bentley co-wrote 10 of 13 tracks on THE MOUNTAIN, which earned him the highest debut sales of his career and became his seventh chart-topping album. Bentley has amassed countless nominations from the ACMs, CMAs, Billboard Music Awards, and GRAMMYs while being currently nominated for CMA “Male Vocalist of the Year,” “Single of the Year” and “Music Video of the Year.” He has created professional endeavors outside of the music industry by not only creating his Desert Sun lifestyle collection but also four “Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row” locations across the country as well. For more information visit www.dierks.com.

Caylee Hammack constantly felt like a self-described “hippie in a hillbilly town” in her tiny hometown of Ellaville, Georgia. Hammack is indeed refreshingly different. And at only 25, she has already packed a full life into just a few years, using fake IDs to get gigs around South Georgia, turning down a college scholarship for a love that burned out, sleeping in her car when she arrived in Nashville and then losing her home in an electrical fire. Her self-penned songs tug on her own life story – bad decisions, broken hearts, a quirky family lineage. Hammack’s current Top 40 breakout single “Family Tree,” co-written/co-produced by Hammack was the most-added single at Country radio by a female artist in over three years. Hammack continues to bring her firebrand live set to upcoming opening slots for Eric Church following time on the road with Miranda LambertBrothers Osborne and Bently. For additional information, visit www.cayleehammack.com.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 8 at 10:00 a.m. and are available online at www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com or through Ticketmaster at 800.745.3000. Tickets start at $39 plus applicable taxes and fees; reserved seating starts at $79 plus applicable taxes and fees.
