Chart-Topping Country Music Star Hunter Hayes Makes Unparalleled Debut Performance at M Resort Spa Casino, Sept. 15

CHART-TOPPING COUNTRY MUSIC STAR
HUNTER HAYES
MAKES UNPARALLELED DEBUT PERFORMANCE AT M RESORT SPA CASINO, SEPT. 15
Tickets on Sale Friday, June 29 at Noon

Five-time GRAMMY-nominated country music singer and songwriter, Hunter Hayes, will take the stage for an unprecedented full-length performance at M Pool as part of M Resort Spa Casino’s concert series on Saturday, Sept. 15. Tickets, starting at $29.99, go on sale this Friday, June 29 at noon and can be purchased by visiting theMResort.com, www.ticketmaster.com or calling 800-745-3000.

For Hunter Hayes, complacency is the enemy. After being nominated for a handful of GRAMMY Awards, snagging a collection of CMA’s and touring the world behind a pair of critically-acclaimed albums, it would be far too easy for the revered singer-songwriter and top-notch musician to rest on his laurels. But Hayes wants more. “I had to get in the mindset of ‘I’m starting over,’” the 25-year-old says boldly of a rigorous two-year process during which he wrote more than 100 songs; made a Nashville studio his personal playground and, most important for his development as a category-defying artist and musical innovator, flipped convention on its head. “I’m starting from scratch,” Hayes declares with equal parts excitement and nervous anticipation of the mindset behind cooking up some of the boldest, hook-heavy material of his career with a heavier emphasis on band-based arrangements and live drums. “It’s about who I am and where I’m going.”

Doors open at 6 p.m. on Sept. 15 and the show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $29.99, plus applicable L.E.T. and facilities fees, and will go on sale Friday, June 29. A limited number of upgraded seats will be available to purchase for $34.99, and those who want to be even closer to the band can buy standing-only tickets in the pit area in front of the stage for $39.99. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit theMResort.com, www.ticketmaster.com or call 800-745-3000.

Contributing greatly to the upended American culture in the late ’60s, Steve Miller formed the Steve Miller Band with guitarist James “Curly” Cooke, bassist Lonnie Turner and drummer Tim Davis. With albums like Children of the Future, Sailor and Brave New World, Miller created a psychedelic blues sound that drew on the deepest sources of American roots music while producing a compelling vision of what music and society could be in the future. In the ‘70s, Miller crafted a brand of rock ‘n’ roll music that has continued to dominate radio over the years. His hit singles include “The Joker,” “Livin’ in the USA,” “Take the Money and Run,” “Rock’n Me,” “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Jet Airliner,” “Jungle Love” and “Abracadabra.”  Currently, Miller contributes his time as a member of the Department of Musical Instruments of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and Jazz at Lincoln Center. In April 2016, Miller will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Lynyrd Skynyrd

Based out of Jacksonville, Florida, southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd came to popularity during the 1970s for its blues, rock and country-infused sound. In 1973, the band released its self-titled album featuring the hit single, “Free Bird.” The album went on to sell more than one million copies and put the band on a national platform. Lynyrd Skynyrd continued to grow its fan base with the release of its sophomore album, Second Helping, which featured one of the band’s most popular songs to date, “Sweet Home Alabama.” In 1977, three of the band’s members including lead vocalist and songwriter Ronnie Van Zant died in an airplane crash. The tragic accident ultimately led to the band’s breakup and Lynyrd Skynyrd didn’t reunite until a decade later. The reunion tour included the surviving band members as well as Johnny Van Zant, the younger brother of Van Zant and the new lead singer for the group. Despite a number of lineup changes, the band continued to record and tour over the next three decades.

Peter Frampton
Peter Frampton

Peter Frampton

Considered one of the biggest rock stars of the ‘70s, Peter Frampton got his start in music when he began playing the guitar at the age of eight. As a teenager, Frampton played in a couple of successful bands and decided to embark on a solo career in 1971. With the help of music stars including Ringo Starr and Billy Preston, Frampton released his debut studio album, Wing of Change, a year later. Despite help from some of the greats, the album did not sell well and his follow-up album experienced the same fate. Over the next couple years, he began touring and building a loyal fan base through his lively performances. In 1975, Frampton recorded a live album entitled Frampton Comes Alive!. The album was a huge commercial success, selling over 16 million copies and topping the charts for 10 weeks straight. It also produced his first three hit singles: “Baby, I Love Your Way,” “Do You Feel Like We Do” and “Show Me the Way.” Over the years, he continued to tour, record and release new music but nothing matched the success of his live album. In 2013, Frampton was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame.

Rising Country music trio Sweetwater Rain recently presented ACM Lifting Lives® with a generous $10,000 donation – the second $10,000 donation the band has given to the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music in the past year.  ACM Lifting Lives President, Lori Badgett, accepted the gift on behalf of the charity.

“ACM Lifting Lives brings the power and impact of music to people who need it through amazing programs,” said Sweetwater Rain’s lead singer, Danny Rivera. “We are so happy to be able to help in their efforts.”

Following their Top 50 Billboard hit “Starshine,” Sweetwater Rain is currently promoting their sophomore Country single “Tailspin” to radio. This catchy, up-tempo song is already receiving rave reviews from Country radio and media alike:

The rockin’ tune samples Rascal Flatts and a little bit of that Hunter Hayes charm, but is neatly wrapped in the trio’s own groovy style. This new radio-friendly pop-leaning tune is sure to get Music Row’s undivided attention.”- Jason Scott, Reporter at Nashville Gab

“Tailspin” is now available on iTunes HERE along with all other respected online retailers.
