Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Mad Hatter Tea Party Raises More Than $23K To Help Childhood Cancer Survivors

Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Mad Hatter Tea Party Raises More Than $23K To Help Childhood Cancer Survivors

Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s 4th Annual Mad Hatter Tea Party raised more than $23,000 to benefit the StoryBook Homes Long-Term Follow-Up (LTFU) Clinic for childhood cancer survivors.

The LTFU is Nevada’s only outpatient clinic focused entirely on providing health monitoring and patient-specific education that will help childhood cancer survivors live their healthiest lives. This type of clinic is essential to childhood cancer survivors since some treatments used to cure children of cancer can cause secondary health issues, often called “late-effects.” The LTFU educates patients on their specific risks, which are based on their cancer treatment, their age at diagnosis, their gender, and other risk factors.

Funds raised at the Mad Hatter Tea Party help underwrite the cost of the LTFU and the many critical medical services provided to patients. Like all Cure 4 The Kids Foundation programs, patients are accepted with or without medical insurance, and regardless of their ability to pay— no patient is denied treatment for financial reasons. In addition, all childhood cancer survivors are eligible for LTFU clinic services irrespective of where they received their cancer treatment.

“This was by far our largest and most successful Tea Party event to date,” said Annette Logan-Parker, President & CEO, Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. “While we put a lot of effort into creating a fun and informative event, we also want the public to understand that what we provide through the StoryBook Homes Long-Term Follow-Up Clinic is vital to the long-term health of childhood cancer survivors.”

The outdoor event was held in the courtyard of The Mercer Las Vegas, a resort lifestyle community developed by StoryBook Homes, the namesake of the long-term follow-up clinic. The owners of StoryBook Homes, Wayne & Catherine Laska, fully understand the complications that can arise after cancer treatment. Their son, Collin survived a stage 4 cancer diagnosis, but years after remission, he continues to be affected by the chemotherapy and radiation that saved his life. As a result of the Laska’s journey, and their desire to make resources available to all families, the Laska’s donated $500,000 to the long-term follow-up clinic in 2017 and have continued to support its operations.

The tea party’s featured speaker was Kirstie Ennis, a former marine, an amputee, mountain climber, Hollywood stuntwoman, veteran’s advocate and inspirational speaker. Ennis spoke to attendees of her determination to create a fulfilling life despite the hardships she has endured — a message particularly suited to childhood cancer survivors who can be faced with amputations or other major health complications.

Kirstie Ennis (center) was this year’s featured speaker at the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation Mad Hatter Tea Party. Ennis is a former marine who was shot down in Afghanistan in 2012, an amputee, Hollywood stuntwoman, and an avid mountain climber. She recently returned from an attempt to be the first woman with a leg amputated above the knee to climb Mt. Everest. After making it past 28,000 feet, her team feared they would not have enough oxygen to scale the summit and survive. She plans to attempt Mt. Everest again next year. She spoke to childhood cancer survivors about facing challenges and hardships in their lives, and despite those challenges, finding the ability to overcome obstacles.

UNLV MEN’S BASKETBALL NEWS: 2019-20 Non-Conference Schedule Announced

UNLV’S 2019-20 NON-CONFERENCE MEN’S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
Runnin’ Rebels to face five teams coming off postseason appearances, including three defending conference champions

UNLV Athletics announced the non-conference portion of its 2019-20 men’s basketball schedule Wednesday.

Highlighted by games against five teams that made postseason appearances last season, including three defending conference champions, this year’s non-conference slate features games against Kansas State, Cincinnati, UCLA, BYU, California and SMU.

The strongest non-conference schedule for the Runnin’ Rebels in four years (based on 2018-19 final NET Rankings) also includes the highest number of Quadrant 1 & 2 opponents (also based on 2018-19 final NET Rankings) for UNLV since the NCAA introduced the tracking system. Additionally, the Runnin’ Rebels will play three true road games during non-conference action, the squad’s most in three years.

“We are excited about our schedule,” said UNLV head coach T.J. Otzelberger, who is entering his first season leading the program. “It will be competitive and challenge our team as we prepare for Mountain West play. Our goal is to continually strengthen our schedule each year and we look forward to playing against some of the best teams in the country.”

The Runnin’ Rebels’ 2019-20 season will begin with three straight games at the Thomas & Mack Center starting with an exhibition contest against West Coast Baptist College on Friday, October 25.

The regular-season opener will take place on Tuesday, November 5 against Purdue Fort Wayne followed by a visit from defending regular-season Big 12 Champion Kansas State on Saturday, November 9. The Wildcats, who finished the 2018-19 season with an overall record of 25-9 and a conference mark of 14-4, earned their first league title in six years and second under head coach Bruce Weber. K-State finished the regular season ranked No. 19 in the country and made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

The Runnin’ Rebels will then head to California for their first road contests of the year to face back-to-back Pac-12 foes: at Cal on Tuesday, November 12 and at UCLA on Friday, November 15. Both programs are also under first-year head coaches in Mark Fox and Mick Cronin, respectively. Fox previously was head coach at UNR then Georgia, while Cronin came from Cincinnati.

UNLV will then return home to the Thomas & Mack Center for four straight games: vs. Abilene Christian on Monday, November 18, Texas State on Wednesday, November 20, SMU on Saturday, November 23 and Jackson State on Tuesday, November 26. Abilene Christian turned in a 27-7 overall mark last season, finished second in the Southland Conference and won its league tournament to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Texas State was 24-10, finished second in the Sun Belt Conference and participated in the CIT.

After Thanksgiving, UNLV will make a trip to the East to play at Cincinnati on Saturday, November 30. The Bearcats were 28-7 overall last season and finished second in the American Athletic Conference with a top-25 national ranking. Cincinnati also appeared in the NCAA Tournament after claiming its conference’s tournament championship.

UNLV will face BYU at a neutral site in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Saturday, December 7, which will mark its final game before finals week. The Cougars tied for second in the West Coast Conference last season.

The Runnin’ Rebels will close out the non-conference schedule with three games at home: vs. Pacific on Wednesday, December 18, Robert Morris on Saturday, December 21 and Eastern Michigan on Saturday, December 28. Robert Morris finished third in the Northeast Conference and advanced to the CIT’s second round.

The Mountain West schedule will be announced soon. All game times and television appearances will be shared upon confirmation.

AREA15,

THE IMMERSIVE ENTERTAINMENT, RETAIL DESTINATION OPENING

IN LAS VEGAS THIS DECEMBER,

SIGNS MIXED REALITY EXPERIENCE: NOMADIC

New Experience Becomes

First of Many New Tenants to be Announced this Year

AREA15, the experiential retail and entertainment complex offering live events, immersive activations, art installations and much more, announces a new tenant: the premier mixed reality (MR) experience, Nomadic.

Founded by veterans of the film, gaming, and retail sectors, Nomadic blurs the line between ‘virtual’ and ‘reality’ by creating video-game-like experiences guests can physically-engage with as they step into the action. These unique experiences incorporate physical props, set design and environmental effects into story-driven VR content. The most deeply immersive, tactile and realistic virtual reality experiences ever developed, Nomadic’s first owned and operated location in Orlando quickly ascended to one of the top three locations in the region, according to TripAdvisor.

“Nomadic’s vision of being the leader for next generation, out-of-home, fully immersive VR entertainment fits perfectly with the curated collection of unique entertainment and retail businesses, artists and best-in-class live events that will find a home at AREA15,” says Winston Fisher, chief executive officer, AREA15.

Nomadic will occupy 6,000 total square feet of the 200,000 square foot complex and will be located near AREA15’s anchor tenant, the art collaborative Meow Wolf. Similar to Meow Wolf, Nomadic will transport guests on journeys through shorter-form mixed-reality (virtual reality + physical engagement) experiences. Nomadic content is appropriate for participants age 10 and older.

“Nomadic is creating a new medium of immersive entertainment. Bringing this to market with a partner such as AREA15, which is committed to achieving that same high level of innovation and entertainment as us, is a perfect match for us,” said Doug Griffin, founder, Nomadic. “To be paired with other groundbreaking activations is exactly why we chose Las Vegas as our next location and we know locals and visitors alike will enjoy getting lost in these incredible adventures.”

Additional details regarding specific experiences planned for AREA15 will be announced later this year.

Criss Angel Debuts Themed Patient Exam Room at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation

Criss Angel Debuts Themed Patient Exam Room at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation

World-renowned illusionist and the biggest name in magic, Criss Angel is the latest Las Vegas headliner to sponsor a themed patient exam room at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.

Angel, Shaunyl Benson and their five-year-old son Johnny Crisstopher, who endured his own three-year battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, revealed the themed patient exam room together on Thursday, May 9, 2019.

“Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is an organization close to my heart and as an ally to those affected by pediatric cancer, I am grateful for any opportunity I have to get involved,” said Angel. “Having a calm and colorful patient exam room is so important throughout a child’s treatment plan so I’m honored to be able to sponsor this latest addition to the clinic.”

The kid-friendly themes and colorful artwork used to cover the walls of the exam room are loosely based on elements incorporated into Criss Angel MINDFREAK at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. In honor of those affected by pediatric cancer, Angel’s immersive theater includes handprints provided by Cure 4 The Kids Foundation patients.

This will be Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s second themed patient exam room in the clinic. Las Vegas artist Juan Muniz will again create the one-of-a-kind illustrations that will help entertain and inspire young patients who are often required to have weekly or monthly doctor visits as part of their treatment.  Muniz’s illustrations include a caricature of Criss Angel, tree, and handprints representing those being treated at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.

“Criss Angel has been a strong and consistent supporter of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation,” said Annette Logan-Parker, president and CEO of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. “Even before his own son was diagnosed with cancer, Criss was an advocate for the needs of childhood cancer patients in Southern Nevada. His support has helped our organization provide treatment to the most vulnerable in our community.”

A long-time supporter of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, Angel has attended Circus Couture, Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s largest fundraiser, and has donated six figure contributions during the live auction to garner further awareness and provide additional support.

Criss Angel stands in front of his likeness in the Criss Angel-inspired patient exam room at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.  Las Vegas-based artist Juan Muniz (left) created the illustrations at the request of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation as a way to honor Angel’s long-time support of the nonprofit group. In front of Angel is his 5-year-old son, Johnny Crisstopher, who endured his own three-year battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and who is now cancer free. Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is Nevada’s only childhood cancer outpatient treatment center. Patients are accepted with good insurance, bad insurance or no insurance. No child is turned away from treatment for financial reasons. cure4thekids.org  Photo by Tonya Harvey.

All illustrations and artwork in the Criss Angel-themed exam room must be incorporated around the necessary medical equipment in the room and special considerations are also made, including the use of microbial resistant glossy paint that allows the room to be cleaned and sterilized.

About Criss Angel

For more than a decade, Criss Angel has dominated the world of magic as the biggest name on the planet.  From his role as star, creator, executive producer and director of Criss Angel MINDFREAK on A&E, to countless critically acclaimed television specials, best-selling books, top-grossing retail products, sold-out touring shows and more, Criss is the most influential and imitated magician of the modern era.

His acclaimed series MINDFREAK on A&E is the most successful magic show in television history, resulting in more hours of magic during prime time than any magic show ever. His decade-long live show residency at Luxor Las Vegas was hailed as the “#1 Best-selling Magic Show in Las Vegas” (Extra) and “The #1 Magic Show of All Time!” (Las Vegas Review-Journal) and generated $150 million in revenue in 2010 as reported by Newsweek.

Angel is also the most watched magician in television and internet history, a YouTube sensation. His “Walk on Water” clip has generated over 60 million views alone, and all of his clips combined have generated more than 300 million views. Criss has the largest social media following of any illusionist, with over six million followers.

In 2017, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored Criss with the 2,615th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The star was dedicated at 7018 Hollywood Boulevard next to the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and across the street from the star of Houdini.

Criss has been named “Magician of the Year” an unprecedented six times, was the youngest magician inducted into the International Magicians Society Hall of Fame, was named the first recipient of “Magician of the Decade,” as well as “Magician of the Century” and “Innovator of the Decade.”  Most recently, Angel was given the highest honor in the magical arts – the Lifetime Achievement Award from the largest and most prestigious magic organization in the world (the nearly one hundred-year-old International Brotherhood of Magicians).  It has only been given five times in the IBM’s history, and Criss is the youngest artist ever to receive it and the only magician performing today that has been presented with this award.

Don McLean To Be Awarded George & Ira Gershwin Award For Lifetime Musical Achievement On May 17

McLean also announces Father’s Day weekend concert at Elvis Presley’s Graceland on June 15

Don McLean, America’s legendary singer and songwriter, will be awarded the George and Ira Gershwin Award for lifetime musical achievement on behalf of the Student Alumni Association of UCLA. In recognition of George and Ira Gershwin’s contributions to American music and in honor of their gift to UCLA, the UCLA Student Alumni Association established the annual George and Ira Gershwin Award for Lifetime Musical Achievement in 1988.

“I am such a great lover and admirer of the work of the Gershwin’s that to receive this award is a thrill,” said McLean. “In popular music the modernism of their music put them in a class by themselves.”

McLean will accept the award on Friday, May 17 at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, during UCLA’s 2019 Spring Sing event. The 31st edition of the award is in recognition of the tremendous contributions McLean has made to the music industry throughout his career. Reserved for influential musical figures, past recipients include Tom Petty, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, James Taylor, Julie Andrews, Lionel Richie, Anthony Kiedis, The Who and last year’s recipient, Linkin Park.

“On behalf of UCLA, I am thrilled to present the 2019 George and Ira Gershwin Award for Lifetime Musical Achievement to Don McLean,” said Award Director, Isabella Dohil, “whose poetic lyrics have transcended time and remain a staple of American culture. Don’s contributions to music have been profound and he continues to capture audiences both young and old through his dynamic storytelling.”

McLean To Perform During Father’s Day Weekend Concerts At Elvis Presley’s Graceland
Memphis is recognized worldwide as the “home of the Blues” and the “birthplace of Rock ‘N’ Roll,” and Graceland’s Father’s Day Weekend Celebration lives up to those honors with multi-platinum singer/songwriter Don McLean and his chart-topping hits will perform on the Soundstage at Graceland on Saturday, June 15.

“I will be at Graceland for a Fathers Day concert and I will sing ‘And I Love You So,’ a song I wrote which Elvis sang during the last year of his life,” said McLean. “It also appears on his album, Today, released in 1975.”

Throughout the weekend, guests will be treated to tours of the iconic Graceland mansion, Elvis Presley’s Memphis™ entertainment complex and experience the brand-new Graceland Exhibition Center featuring three fantastic exhibits: Muhammad Ali: Greatest of All Time, Memphis Music Legends and A Century of the American Motorcycle. To purchase tickets, please visit GracelandLive.com/don-mclean.

Since first hitting the charts in 1971, Don McLean has amassed over 40 gold and platinum records world-wide and, in 2004, was inducted into the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame. Classic hits like “American Pie”, “Vincent (Starry Starry Night)”, “Castles in the Air”, “And I Love You So”, “Crossroads” and “The Grave” propelled McLean into the mainstream. Many of his songs have been recorded and sung by musicians from every genre, including Madonna‘s No. 1 recording of “American Pie” in 2000, George Michael’s rendition of “The Grave” in 2003, and James Blake’s version of “Vincent (Starry Starry Night).”

Having recently honored the 60th anniversary of Buddy Holly’s death, and receiving Million-Air certifications from BMI for over 5 million certified airplays of “American Pie” and 3 million certified airplays for “Vincent (Starry, Starry Night),” McLean continues to bring his classic hit songs to stages around the world.

About Don McLean:
A New York native, Don McLean is one of the most revered and respected songwriters in American history. After paying his dues in the New York club scene in the late ‘60s, he went on to score mega-hits like “American Pie,” “Vincent (Starry, Starry Night),” “Castles in the Air” and many more. In 2004, McLean was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame by country superstar Garth Brooks. In 2000, “American Pie” was named one of the Top 5 Songs of the 20th Century by the RIAA and in 2002 was inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame. In 2015, one of McLean’s four handwritten manuscripts of the lyrics to “American Pie” was auctioned by Christies, selling for just over $1.2 Million. 2017 brought a huge honor when his iconic song was inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry, joining less than 500 works including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” With over 40 gold and platinum records worldwide, McLean’s prowess for writing timeless songs was again captured on his 2018 album, Botanical Gardens, as he artfully weaves country, Americana, folk, and boot stomping rock for an eclectic, yet American sound that he is known for.

THE 45th ANNUAL UNLVINO KICKED OFF WITH BUBBLE-LICIOUS AT KEEP MEMORY ALIVE EVENT CENTER ON APRIL 11

The sparkling event featured pours and bites from numerous prestigious vendors, honoree Don Ross of Caesars Entertainment, the UNLV Jazz Band, and more

The 45th Annual UNLVino, sponsored by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of Nevada, kicked-off last night with Bubble-Licious at Keep Memory Alive Events Center in downtown Symphony Park. The event is the first of three exceptional evenings to benefit UNLV Harrah College of Hospitality.

Upon entering the event, guests of Bubble-Licious, hosted by Mercedes Martinez with Mix 94.1, walked the glamorous red carpet and were greeted with bubble girls and a human vine. Guests also enjoyed sips and pours from numerous restaurants and vendors while the award-winning UNLV Jazz band performed throughout the evening. Among the many activations throughout the event were the 1,794 bottles of Dom Pérignon adjacent to the stage to commemorate the first year of UNLVino in 1974, as well as the Dom Pérignon Award of Excellence. That award was presented to Don Ross, vice president of catering, conventions and events at Caesars Entertainment, by Larry Ruvo and Michael Severino, both of Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Stowe Shoemaker, dean of UNLV Harrah College of Hospitality, and Carly Scheinman-Fitzsimmons, a student of the UNLV Harrah College of Hospitality, who also presented Ross with a signed chef’s coat from all the students of the UNLVino class. As a bonus surprise, Jason Giambi, a retired five time All-Star professional baseball player and former New York Yankee, presented Ross, a massive Yankees fan, with a framed drawing of Ross in a Yankees jersey.

UNLVino continues tonight with Sake Fever at Red Rock Resort Casino & Spa’s pool from 7 to 10 p.m. The event honors Hae Uen Lee of Lee’s Discount Liquors and features a wide variety of sakes, Japanese spirits and cocktails, as well as many Asian-inspired restaurants.

On Saturday, April 12, UNLVino concludes with the Grand Tasting at The Mirage Events Center from 7 to 10 p.m. This final event honors Nicole Brisson of Eataly Las Vegas and will feature premium selection of wine, spirits, craft beer and other beverages and over 20 award-winning restaurants, as well as exceptional entertainment, including a special one-of-a-kind performance by Legends In Concert.

About UNLVino

From its humble beginnings in the Southern Wine & Spirits warehouse, the annual UNLVino has grown into Las Vegas premier wine, spirits and food event, and serves as the year’s largest scholarship fundraiser for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ (UNLV) William F. Harrah College of Hospitality students. Founded in 1974 by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Senior Managing Director Larry Ruvo and former College of Hospitality dean Jerry Vallen, UNLVino began as a small wine tasting, with proceeds going to UNLV’s hotel college fund. As UNLVino’s popularity grew, so too did its hosting venues, moving from the warehouse into UNLV’s Thomas and Mack Center, and eventually expanding to numerous Las Vegas resorts as fans and community sponsors took notice. Entering its 45th year, UNLVino has raised millions of dollars in scholarships and has become one of the city’s must-attend events of the year.

Caesars Entertainment Announces Enhancements to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace

Caesars Entertainment Enhances The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with Significant Investments in
Unique Guest Experience and Innovative Technical Elements

Caesars Entertainment Assumes Operational Control of the Award-Winning Venue and Enters Co-Promotion Agreement with Live Nation

Caesars Entertainment announced plans today to renovate The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with significant technical and design updates to its landmark venue recognized as Billboard Magazine’s “Venue of the Decade.” The Colosseum will undergo an exciting evolution to incorporate a new state-of-the-art sound system, new moving light fixtures and high-definition LED video wall into the technical capabilities of the space, while still preserving the celebrated character and prestige of the iconic theater. Also, the world’s top venue of its size will now be able to facilitate multiple seating arrangements, including VIP banquettes with bottle service and a general admission setup on the main floor, to accommodate many genres and entertainment experiences for guests through the city’s only automated lift seating system.

Caesars Entertainment assumes operational control of The Colosseum and begins its partnership with Live Nation, the No. 1 live entertainment promoter in the world. Together, the two industry leaders will elevate the experience for its legendary roster of artists as well as the more than 400,000 guests hosted each year.

“We’re thrilled to make the best entertainment experiences in Las Vegas even better by enhancing The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with its innovative design and unique elements,” said Jason Gastwirth, president of entertainment for Caesars Entertainment. “The timing of these enhancements couldn’t be better as Caesars Entertainment and Live Nation now partner to program The Colosseum with a commitment to bring world-class performers to this refreshed, iconic entertainment venue. The best seat in Las Vegas just got better.”
“Artist residencies have become the dominant form of theater entertainment in Las Vegas. Fans around the world come to Las Vegas to see their favorite stars perform in intimate settings with incredible productions they can find nowhere else,” said Kurt Melien, Live Nation Las Vegas president. “The world’s most legendary artists have graced The Colosseum’s stage since its inception, and we are excited to partner with Caesars Entertainment to further attract the biggest names in music, creating a hub for live entertainment that is unmatched by any other destination in the world.”

Since opening in 2003, The Colosseum changed the live music experience on the Las Vegas Strip by pioneering the modern artist residency model and successfully welcoming entertainment’s biggest superstars to the city.

The Colosseum will begin its refresh in early July and marks the first major update to the space since its revolutionary debut on the Las Vegas Strip when it was built for the opening of Celine Dion’s epic multi-decade long Las Vegas residency. The Colosseum renovation is set to begin after the final dates of Reba, Brooks & Dunn on July 6 and is slated to reopen again in early fall.

Technical Advancements
Capitalization on technical advancements only recently available, the audio and lighting packages will be upgraded with newer, state-of-the-art equipment. Additionally, the massive LED video screen, known by artists and guests as the venue’s awe-inspiring focal point that stretches 110 feet long and 34 feet tall, will be replaced completely, more than doubling its resolution and increasing in size.

In addition to the technical advancements, the award-winning venue will also introduce Las Vegas’ first-of-its-kind modular seating capability via an automated lift system, allowing for immense viewing flexibility, enhanced show offerings, and more immersive fan interactions. These modernizations showcase Caesars Entertainment’s commitment to providing musical acts with a premier performance atmosphere while continuing to elevate the guest experience.

“While we recognize The Colosseum is already top of its class, these changes will allow for more flexibility in our booking process and give us the opportunity to thrill fans with new and diverse offerings,” said Gastwirth. “Our goal is that these modernizations will excite musical acts with an unparalleled stage experience and guests, whether dancing in the now available general admission section, enjoying a show in VIP booths with friends or taking in their favorite singer in a more traditional theater setting, will appreciate the attention to detail we have expanded on for the future of this beautiful venue.”

Design Additions

Scéno Plus, the world-renowned theatre designers out of Montreal, returns as the design lead on the project. The original conceivers of The Colosseum, they have been tasked with the delicate job of making changes to the venue without compromising its essence in the consistently awarded theater space, that has been named Billboard Touring Awards “Top Venue Under 5,000” 13 times (the only winner in the category since its introduction in 2005).

“The Colosseum has proven itself not only as a critical and commercial success, but also as a leader in design, as shown by high-caliber projects around the globe all chasing to achieve its same level of elegance and status,” said Benoit Panaccio, theatre designer. “Scéno Plus is incredibly proud to return to further advance The Colosseum for today’s guests and even prouder to continue our longstanding and successful partnership with Caesars Entertainment.”

Additionally, the seating in the venue will be entirely refurbished, updating the plush red seats, none of which is more than 145 feet from the stage, with new custom fabrics for a luxurious and comfortable viewing experience. Also, The Colosseum will now include a new VIP area, complete with banquettes for groups from two to 10 and bottle/cocktail service. For added convenience, the lobby bar will increase in size, allowing for faster service when ordering specialty cocktails, beverages and snacks, while merchandise areas will also move to better accommodate the flow of guests into the theater.

 Ownership
With more than 10,000 live events hosted each year and 3 million tickets sold annually, Caesars Entertainment adds the flagship venue to its current portfolio of operating more than 50 venues across 13 states and five countries. Caesars Entertainment along with Live Nation looks to utilize this new leadership role within The Colosseum to continue to trailblaze and reimagine the evolution of the resident artist model and include more limited engagements and tour stops.
