For the first time ever, the distinguished retail center will be offering “Ducks For A Cure” – pink ducks for “adoption” for $5 with ALL proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen®.  
These limited edition pink ducks can be purchased at either of the Forum Shops Guest Services Booths. Once adopted, visitors can personalize their new buoyant buddy with a message to a loved one and take the duck to the reflecting pool located at the base of the spiral escalator on level one and release it into the water. “The sea of pink ducks is a unique way to pay tribute to those who have been effected by breast cancer and it will offer shoppers a visual spectacle during October, which is a great way to increase breast cancer awareness throughout The Forum Shops all month long,” said Maureen Crampton, Director of Marketing and Business Development for The Forum Shops.
Additionally, The Forum Shops will also be offering a special More Than Pink discount card for $10 with all proceeds again benefiting Susan G. Komen. Marking its milestone 25th anniversary this year, The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, in partnership with InVEGAS Magazine, will be the exclusive location to ring in El Grito for the Mexican Independence Day weekend celebration. On Friday, September 15 at 8:00 p.m., The Forum Shops will host the official opening ceremony to kick off the festivities with a celebratory ringing of the bell by Mexican Consul Alejandro Madrigal along with a Mariachi band and traditional folkloric dancers. Staged atop the picturesque reflecting pool near the spiral escalator, the public is invited to join in on the free event.

Classic Rock Band Favorite America to Perform at Primm

 

Tickets are now on sale to enjoy the classic rock sounds of America on Saturday, July 15 at Star of the Desert Arena in Primm. Concert goers will hear some of their best-loved hits such as “A Horse With No Name,” “Sister Golden Hair,” “Tin Man,” “Ventura Highway” and “Don’t Cross the River.” Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $20 with room packages including two concert tickets and a one-night stay at Buffalo Bills available starting at $158.95 plus taxes and resort fees.

Founding band members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell have been entertaining classic rock lovers for 45 years, winning a Grammy for Best New Artist in 1972. They now have six certified platinum and gold albums and are still a crowd favorite decades later.

Little River Band is one of the most successful acts to come out of Melbourne since they formed in 1975. November 25 – Eric Burdon & The Animals
“There is a house in New Orleans…” Quintessential rockers, The Animals, spearheaded the British Invasion in the ’60s and ’70s with timeless classics including “The House of the Rising Sun,” “We Gotta Get Out of This Place,” “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood,” and more. Led by the gritty, bluesy voice of front man Eric Burdon, The Animals have racked up ten Top 20 hits and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. In 1999 and again in 2011, they were honored with the prestigious GRAMMY Hall of Fame Award.

December 16 – Gary Puckett & The Union Gap Band
Gary Puckett & The Union Gap Band burst onto the scene in the ’60s with chart-topping ballads that pioneered a sound and style that would go on to be emulated by others. With hits including “Young Girl,” “Woman Woman,” “Lady Willpower,” and “Over You,” the group garnered a dedicated fan base that have had them performing on average 150 performances to sold out crowds every year.

December 30 – Morris Day & The Time
Morris Day rose to prominence as co-founder of The Time alongside Prince and played an essential role in the development of the Twin City dance and club sound of the ’80s. In 1984, Day launched a solo career, but has since rejoined The Time, recently performing a Prince Tribute in London organized by the charity Autism Rock.
