Dan Aykroyd and Judith Belushi Present the
Official Blues Brothers Revue at M Resort Spa Casino

Dan Aykroyd and Judith Belushi Pisano have announced that The Official Blues Brothers Revue will appear at M Resort Spa Casino on Saturday, Jan. 12. The duo, comprised of Kieron (Elwood Blues) Lafferty and Wayne (Jake Blues) Catania, were hand-picked by Aykroyd, Belushi Pisano and original Blues Brothers Musical Director, Paul Shaffer to carry the torch first lit by the iconic duo of Aykroyd and John Belushi on Saturday Night Live in 1978 and later immortalized in the eponymous blockbuster 1980 film directed by John Landis.

Judy Belushi, referring to the duo as anything but an imitation of the original act said, “Kieron and Wayne are not imitators, they live the music and embody the characters. They understand the spirit of The Blues Brothers and revel in the joy of being Jake and Elwood”.  Backed by the all-star Intercontinental Rhythm & Blues Band, The Official Blues Brothers Revue is a multi-media interactive experience showcasing their undeniable talent in songs that comprise a virtual encyclopedia of rock, blues and soul. Audiences of all ages have been on their feet as the duo delivers classics such as “Soul Man,” “Gimme Some Lovin,” “Sweet Home Chicago” and “Shout.”

One critic recently raved, “…the roof raising show has the same down-home energy as any of Aykroyd and Belushi’s performances. Lesser performers might be tempted to allow their characterizations to veer into parody—but not Catania and Lafferty, baby!”

Doors open at 7 p.m. on Jan. 12 and show starts at 8 p.m. inside M Pavilion. Tickets start at $15 plus applicable L.E.T. and facilities fees and are on sale now. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit theMResort.com,  ticketmaster.com or call 800-745-3000.

Deadpan Comic Steven Wright Returns to Treasure Island April 13

Deadpan comic Steven Wright will headline the Treasure Island Theatre Apr. 13 at 9 p.m.

Renowned for his distinctive stand-up comedy, incorporating irony, philosophy, nonsense and delightful lethargic monotone delivery, Wright got his big break on “The Tonight Show” in 1982.  Johnny Carson enjoyed the performance so much that he invited Wright to appear again the following Thursday, a rarity on “The Tonight Show.”  His back-to-back appearances helped put his fledgling career into high gear.  The comic soon found himself performing on “Saturday Night Live,” “Late Night with David Letterman,” and numerous trips back to “The Tonight Show.”

Wright expanded his career to include comedy albums, films and television appearances. Both his 1985 debut album, “I Have A Pony,” and 2007 follow up, “I Still Have A Pony,” earned Grammy nominations for Best Comedy Album.  In 1985, Steven starred in his landmark first HBO Special “A Steven Wright Special,” which he followed with “Wicker Chairs and Gravity” in 1990. His third one-hour special, “When The Leaves Blow Away,” premiered on Comedy Central in 2006.

The offbeat comic’s film appearances include “Desperately Seeking Susan,” Mike Meyers’ “So I Married An Axe Murderer,” Oliver Stone’s “Natural Born Killers,” and Nora Ephron’s “Mixed Nuts.” Wright was the voice of the DJ, K-Billy in “Reservoir Dogs,” played a Mountie in “Canadian Bacon,” opposite the late John Candy and had a supporting role in Dave Chappelle’s “Half-Baked.” He won an Academy Award for Best Short Film for “The Appointments of Dennis Jennings,” which he also starred in and co-wrote. Most recently Wright lent his inimitable voice to the upcoming animated film “The Emoji Movie” alongside TJ Miller, James Corden and Patrick Stewart.

In addition to his work in front of the camera, Wright was nominated for an Emmy Award as a producer of the hit FX series, “Louie.” He also guest starred in two episodes of Louie in 2011 and 2015 and can be seen in Louis CK’s critically acclaimed web series “Horace and Pete.”

Tickets are available starting at $50.95, plus taxes and service charges, and can be purchased by calling 866-712-9308 or 702-894-7722, or visiting www.treasureisland.com.

Award-Winning Comedian and Talk Show Host Dennis Miller Returns to The Orleans Showroom June 13-14

Five-time Emmy Award® winner and crowd favorite Dennis Miller returns to The Orleans Showroom June 13 and 14.

Celebrated as a witty comedian with an entertaining and intriguing stand-up routine, Miller keeps audiences laughing with his irreverent observations. A favorite of the public and critics alike, The New York Times said, “Mr. Miller is exquisitely attuned to contemporary foibles … his material can be scathing, his delivery low-key … Mr. Miller reaches a bit farther than most comedians for the scorching comment … this smart aleck has an uncommonly sharp eye.”

Called “one of the premiere comedy talents in America today,” Miller emerged on the national scene during the 1980s as the “Weekend Update” correspondent on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” After leaving SNL in 1991, Miller moved to HBO, where he hosted the critically-acclaimed talk show “Dennis Miller Live” for nine seasons. Miller is a regular on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” and “The O’Reilly Factor.” He was also host and executive producer of CNBC’s “Dennis Miller,” which featured conversation, opinion and humor.

In a career that has spanned far beyond showrooms and interview sets, Miller has also made a name for himself as a film actor and author. Notable motion picture credits include such mid-‘90s favorites as “Disclosure,” “The Net” and “Murder at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.” Miller’s “rant” books, including “I Rant Therefore I Am,” “Ranting Again” and “The Rants” have all been on The New York Times best-sellers list.

Miller garnered three Writer’s Guild of America Awards, as well as an additional WGA Award for his 1997 HBO special, “Dennis Miller: Citizen Arcane.” In addition, he wrote and starred in the Emmy-nominated cable comedy special “Raw Feed.”

Miller is host of the nationally syndicated radio show, “The Dennis Miller Show,” airing weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST at www.dennismillerradio.com.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are available starting from $54.95, plus tax and convenience fees, and can be purchased at any Boyd Gaming Box Office, by calling 702.365.7075, or visiting www.orleanscasino.com.
