Description: Acclaimed Oxford, England quartet A Silent Film recently announced the release of their sophomore album Sand & Snow. Recorded in various studios in Arizona, Texas and London; there is a Beat Poetry-esque meter to Sand & Snow. Like a Brit-pop score to Jack Kerouac’s On The Road; the narrative flow coupled with propulsive bass lines and swooning symphonic melodies that dart in and out to punctuate the melodicism, is a snapshot of the creativity inspired by the band’s move from the UK. “In a way it feels like our story started when we got on a plane and came to America. We felt like it was somehow ready for us and we had something to offer.”

Sand & Snow documents this romance and self-discovery from a band with proven songwriting chops, and showcases a freshly confident depth in the songwriting.
