The Math Institute Launches Both Virtual, One-on-One, and Small Class Size Learning with Mentoring and Tutoring Programs

School has started back today and with distance learning and hybrid, more parents are resorting to tutors to complement education for their kids.

The Math Institute Launches Both Virtual, One-on-One, and Small Class Size Learning with Mentoring and Tutoring Programs

The Math Institute, a tutoring and mentoring firm in Las Vegas, announces its “Back to School – We Got Your Back” supplemental program and in person and online tutoring programs.! For as low as $10/hr they will ensure children are organized, attend all of their online sessions, complete all of their assignments, learn and get the extra help they need.

The Math Institute offers four distinct services:

  • One on One Tutoring
  • Small Group Tutoring
  • Supplemental Classes
  • Camps

The online class sessions engage students in a small class setting: twice/week (class with 2 students) or one on one: with 8 or 10 sessions.

Some of the online and in-person classes concentrate on mathematic topics including: Elementary (3rd to 5th grade), Basic (6th to 7th grade) Pre Algebra (7th to 8th grade), Álgebra (8th to 9th grade), Geometry (9th to 10th grade), Algebra II (9th to 11th grade), Pre Calc (10th to 12th grade) and Calculus (11th to 12th grade).

Reasons for needing additional learning classes within a smaller class size environment include:

✔️ Students moving to 5th grade —> Get ready for Middle School

✔️ Students starting Middle School —> To make sure the transition won’t affect them in a negative way and they’re ready for their new, higher math level.

✔️Students already in Middle School —>Filling in the gaps they’ve struggled with, in order to continue (with more confidence and success) their current middle school level.

All of the services give each students the personalized attention they deserve, as the largest classroom holds up to 15 students and our regular classrooms hold up to 6 students, that way the sessions exclusively focus on our student’s needs.

Service is available Monday – Friday 7am- 3pm and scheduled hourly, to practice social distancing protocols.

Mac King’s Magical Literacy Tour Returns for Back To School 2013

Comedy-Magician Mac King Teams Up with Las Vegas 51s and Grimaldi’s Pizzeria
To Host Book Drives in August

Donate books for free show tickets and other prizes

Comedy-Magician and Harrah’s Headliner Mac King is hitting the road again to collect books for kids in at-risk schools during Back to School 2013. King is teaming up with the Las Vegas 51s baseball team and Grimaldi’s Pizzeria in Las Vegas to host book drives this August for Mac King’s Magical Literacy Tour: Back to School 2013, benefiting Clark County READS, the literacy initiative of The Public Education Foundation.

“I am proud to see the literacy tour grow in the past few years as more community partners jump on board. Thanks to these organizations and to the people who donate books, we are able to provide more reading opportunities to kids,” said King. “This August, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria and the Las Vegas 51s are making it easy for the Las Vegas community to do their part by donating books while enjoying a tasty pizza and an all-American baseball game.”

Throughout the month of August donate three or more new or gently used children’s books to receive a pair of tickets to The Mac King Comedy Magic Show and special offers from the host venue.

Las Vegas 51s Book Drive and First Pitch – Saturday, August 24
The Las Vegas 51s baseball team will host a book drive during the home game on Saturday, August 24, at 7 p.m. at Cashman Field. Anyone who donates three or more new or gently used children’s books will receive a pair of tickets to The Mac King Comedy Magic Show and will be entered into a raffle to win autographed Las Vegas 51s merchandise (Limit one pair of show tickets and one raffle ticket per person. Must be present to win. Winner will be announced during the 7th inning stretch).

Additionally, Mac King will be on-site to collect donations, meet and greet with fans and sign autographs from 6-6:30 p.m. and throw out the first pitch beginning at 6:40 p.m.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria – August 2013
During the month of August, guests who donate three or more new or gently used children’s books at any of the five Grimaldi’s Pizzeria Las Vegas locations will receive a pair of tickets to The Mac King Comedy Magic Show and a $5 Off Card for Grimaldi’s Pizzeria (Limit one per person. Grimaldi’s Pizzeria $5 Off Card good for future visit only).

Additionally, Mac King is a fan of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria and has created his own signature pizza, Mac King’s Magic Pizza. Stop by any Grimaldi’s Pizzeria location in Las Vegas to make a book donation and try Mac King’s Magic Pizza.

“Unlike my comedy magic show, my pizza is probably not for everyone. I like Anchovies and Kalamata Olives. Combine that with Grimaldi’s famous secret recipe sauce, handmade mozzarella, and coal fired crispy crust and you have a salty, savory, magical treat,” King added.

Nevada Reading Week 2014
Donated books will be personally delivered by King to kids in at-risk schools during Mac King’s Magical Literacy Tour: Nevada Reading Week 2014. Each year during Nevada Reading Week, King visits students at local elementary schools to teach the importance of literacy by reading stories and performing tricks from his show. Thanks to book drives held throughout the year, at the end of the assembly, each child is able to take a book home with them. For many kids this is the first book they can call their own. Local businesses and organizations interested in joining forces with Mac King by hosting a book drive to benefit Nevada Reading Week 2014 can email for more information.

About Mac King’s Magical Literacy Tour
Comedy-Magician Mac King has been a life-long advocate for childhood literacy and since settling down in Las Vegas, has made it his mission to promote literacy in Southern Nevada.

For years King has visited local elementary schools, spreading the importance of literacy to local students. In 2011 King decided to take his philanthropic efforts to the next level and launched Mac King’s Magical Literacy Tour, a citywide literacy initiative to foster the love of reading and rally community organizations to raise books for Las Vegas school children.

The tour kicked-off during Nevada Reading Week 2011 and since then has collected more than 5,000 books by partnering with several local organizations including: Las Vegas Wranglers, Springs Preserve, and Winder Farms.

About Mac King
Now in his 14th year of headlining afternoons at Harrah’s Las Vegas, Mac King has been consistently lauded throughout his impressive run, including recently being named “Best Strip headliner” in the Las Vegas Weekly’s 2011 annual Vegas’ best awards. Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Best of Las Vegas” readers’ poll named his show the “Best Bargain Show” for ten straight years (2003-2013) and deemed him “Favorite Male Las Vegan” in 2008. King has also been honored as Magic Magazine’s “Funniest Act in Magic,” the World Magic Awards’ “Best Comedy Magician” and the Magic Castle’s “Magician of the Year.”

Sought after worldwide, King has made television appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” and all five of NBC’s “The World’s Greatest Magic” TV specials. King has also made several appearances at the “Just For Laughs” comedy festival in Montreal, and was a featured performer in the “Masters of Magic” series at the Luminato Festival in Toronto, Canada.

The intense heat of the oven evenly bakes the pies to create Grimaldi’s famous crispy and smoky thin crust that Zagat has voted best pizza year after year. Grimaldi’s Pizzeria has five locations in Las Vegas and one in Sparks, Nev. Nothing says end of summer and back to the college grind like a back-to-school bash at Rockhouse Bar & Nightclub on Wednesday, August 17.

The Strip’s only ultra-dive bar is giving college co-eds a chance to say goodbye to summer and hello to the start of a new semester with a party guaranteed to show students a rockin’ time. Students are welcomed to wear their alma mater T-shirts and bring their student IDs for an open bar from nine to midnight, $10 for guys and only $5 for the ladies.  Additionally, students can brush up on their beer pong skills for the upcoming school year with matches running all night at Rockhouse.

Whether people watching on the rowdy Strip-side patio by day, or dancing on the bar with an 80-ounce guitar by night, the ultra-dive bar is one of Vegas’ best-kept secrets. Rockhouse gives partygoers the ultimate nightlife experience – minus the “VIP” attitude. With a knockout lineup of gorgeous bartenders, bottle service that won’t break the bank, a daiquiri bar and casual dress code, Rockhouse is definite must-visit hotspot for locals and tourists alike.

Blending a local dive bar with the glamour of Sin City’s party scene at a convenient center Strip location, Rockhouse is the top party destination on the Strip. Las Vegas’ only ultra-dive bar features top-notch lighting and sound with the best DJs in Las Vegas blending upbeat rock, hip-hop and dance. With beautiful bartenders pouring drinks from the bar tops, playing in the giant bird cage and dangling from tire swings suspended from the ceiling, Rockhouse is the spot where the party never stops.   Rockhouse is located on Las Vegas Blvd. in front of Imperial Palace, directly across from Caesars Palace in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip.  The daiquiri and main bar open daily at 10 a.m. and the adjacent nightclub is open from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
