ICEBAR TO OPEN AT THE LINQ PROMENADE THIS NOVEMBER

ICEBAR, a brand-new project created by Noel Bowman of Minus5 Ice Experience, will open this November at The LINQ Promenade. Replacing Sprinkles Cupcakes next to the Promenade’s fountain, ICEBAR will offer the unforgettable frozen ambience and frosty cocktails familiar to fans of Minus5, while also featuring new, immersive features such as dynamic projection mapping.

“We are presenting Las Vegas audiences with another exciting ice experience,” said Noel Bowman, owner, ICEBAR. “We know this coveted location will be attractive to leisure visitors strolling the Promenade, as well as corporate groups utilizing the nearby convention facilities, including the new Caesars Forum.”

Construction on ICEBAR begins this week to transform the existing space. ICEBAR will have cool, blue and green décor elements and signage on the exterior, as well as a 1,000-square-foot covered patio facing the Promenade’s fountain and a “warm space” devoted to a warm bar and lobby at the front entrance. Of course, the majority of the space will be devoted to the ice attraction, which will be 1,200 square feet and encompass more than 100 tons of hand-carved ice. The space is maintained at 32 degrees Fahrenheit by a sophisticated, state-of-the-art refrigeration system.

Once open, visitors to ICEBAR will be able to don parkas or faux fur coats to experience the venue’s chill vibe. Enhanced by dazzling artistic elements, ICEBAR showcases high-tech projection mapping, immersive ice sculptures and educational features designed to explore the art of ice. Guests ages 21 and older can select from a signature menu of chilled cocktails—such as The ICE MAN, Frozen Mojito and Frosé, all served in glasses made entirely of ice. The attraction is also family friendly, offering icy mocktails with clever names such as Jack Frost and YETI.

The venue will be available for private bookings and brand take-overs by corporate groups. Customized ice sculptures can be produced for any occasion, and branded products can even be cleverly showcased while being deep-frozen in crystal-clear blocks of ice. ICEBAR can accommodate up to 500 guests for private bookings.

“At The LINQ Promenade, we are always seeking the freshest, most distinctive mix of experiences for our guests,” said Shaun Swanger, senior vice president of attractions, retail and leasing, Caesars Entertainment. “The addition of ICEBAR represents our ongoing commitment to be the most vibrant entertainment, dining and retail destination in Las Vegas.”

Spectacles Lands via Snapbot at The LINQ Promenade, Nevada’s First, Only Location

Spectacles Lands via Snapbot  at The LINQ Promenade,
Nevada’s First, Only Location

he LINQ Promenade is now the first and only location in Nevada to have a Snapbot—a fun, interactive yellow vending machine through which Snapchatters can virtually try-on and purchase a pair of Spectacles by Snap Inc.

Spectacles are sunglasses that capture Snaps. They are the new way to make memories and feature a built-in video camera that records exactly what the wearer sees, hands-free, with a touch of a button. Snaps taken with Spectacles save wirelessly into Snapchat’s “Memories” and can then be uploaded to a Snapchatter’s Story or shared directly with family and friends in a new circular video format that can be played full-screen, in any orientation..

To date, Snapbots have landed in fun and surprising locations throughout the U.S. and select countries in Europe for about a day at a time each. The latest Snapbot landing in Las Vegas is unique as it will call The LINQ its home for the summer. Previously, Snapbots have popped up at places such as the Grand Canyon and the Eiffel Tower.

“Spectacles are popping up all over the world and driving more excitement with every location,” says Shaun Swanger, vice president and general manager, The LINQ Promenade. “The LINQ Promenade is an ideal destination for this offering, where locals and tourists alike can get in on the action, creating Snaps with The LINQ Promenade and iconic High Roller observation wheel as the backdrop.”

While at the Snapbot location, customers can virtually try on each color sunglasses by pushing the corresponding button (coral, black, or teal). This virtual try-on technology leverages the same technology that powers Snapchat Lenses. Spectacles come charged and ready for Memory making and will be located near The LINQ Promenade fountain and Flour & Barley Brick Oven Pizza.

The Head & The Heart to Play Brooklyn Bowl 4/11

THE HEAD AND THE HEART

Tuesday, April 11

Tickets on sale Friday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. PST

Seattle-based, street-to-stardom phenomenon The Head And The Heart will take the stage at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas in The Linq Promenade on Tuesday, April 11 at 8:30 p.m. The band makes the ritualistic pilgrimage from Indio, Calif. to Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas before the two famed festival weekends.

Hot off an early 2017 international tour that included performances in Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom, The Head And The Heart return stateside with their 2017 “Signs of Light” tour. The group began as street performers in Seattle, energetically broadcasting the tunes that would one day, in 2011, comprise their debut album on local Sub Pop records. As the band worked tirelessly to amass a crowd in large open spaces, they realized that a movement was forming.

“There is a certain level of confidence gained from having such an amazing fan base,” says singer, songwriter, vocalist and percussionist Jonathan Russell. “You start to trust yourself more. When we were busking, we were filling so much space to keep the listener from walking away. Now we are in a very different situation.”

The Head And The Heart was formed when Russell and vocalist, songwriter, guitar player and percussionist Josiah Johnson met at an open mic night they had been frequenting. Rounding out the group are Tyler Williams (drums), Kenny Hensley (keyboards), Charity Rose Thielen (vocals, violin, banjo) and Chris Zasche (bass). The connection was instant; the group even moved into the same residence to be sure that they could catch lightning in a bottle at any moment inspiration struck.

“We wanted to write songs that felt bigger, and didn’t need to be so frantic,” adds Johnson. “I think for the most part we wanted to record an album that sounds like the way we play now.”

Doors for The Head And The Heart at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas open at 7:30 pm. This show is for ages 18+. Tickets start at $31 (plus applicable service fees) and are on sale to the public on Friday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. PST at the Brooklyn Bowl box office, by calling 877.987.6487 or online at http://ticketf.ly/2iDTtII.
