This February, Broadway Bound brings this enchanting love story musical to the stage for a limited engagement. SHE LOVES ME will be presented at the Summerlin Performing Arts Center, inside the Summerlin Library for ten thrilling performances, February 19-28, 2016. Book by Joe Masteroff * Music by Jerry Bock * Lyrics by Sheldon Harnick * This production is presented thanks to special arrangements with Musical Theatre International (MTI) www.MTIShows.com
Tickets available at www.BroadwayBoundLV.com

“This show is hilarious! It’s so rewarding to see the kids develop their characters during rehearsals and bring the story to life on stage. I’m so very proud of them. Audiences will love the journey of this fun musical transforming a challenging work relationship into a romantic love affair. If you have ever fallen in love, this musical will touch your heart… and make you laugh, and possibly remind you that things are not always what they seem at first,” said Director Michael Vojvodich.

SHE LOVES ME is a euphoric romantic comedy with a soaring score. Amalia and Georg work together at a modest Hungarian parfurmerie, and have disliked each other from the very beginning. He thinks she’s stuck up, and she thinks he’s arrogant and mean. But each rapturously writes to a lonely hearts pen pal when the work day is done, and it doesn’t take long for the audience to see that they’re in love without realizing it. Inevitably through some of the most iconic songs in the musical theatre canon (Vanilla Ice Cream, She Loves Me, Will He Like Me?), Georg and Amalia discover the truth as well and rejoice in their love for each other at the story’s sweet and musically delightful conclusion.

Performances of SHE LOVES ME (Feb 19-28) can be seen on Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm, Matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm, and additional performances on Monday Feb 22 at 7pm and Thursday Feb 25 at 7pm. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online www.BroadwayBoundLV.com or by calling 702-838-5131. Promotional opportunities are supported and sponsored by Rudy Foundation.

Students bring the Tony Award-winning musical to life for a six-performance limited engagement

Faith Conservatory of the Fine Arts will bring the magic of “PIPPIN” to life for six special performances, May 8-17. Tickets to the Tony Award-winning musical, from renowned lyricist and composer Stephen Schwartz, are available now at www.FaithTheatreCompany.com.

‘PIPPIN’ is a brilliant opportunity to blur the world of reality and imagination,” said Erik Ball, Head of Theatrical Arts at Faith Lutheran High School. “It’s a poetic adventure with thrilling dances, mesmerizing vocals and a finale that will leave audiences stunned! It’s pure magic.”

“PIPPIN” follows the title character, a young prince and heir to the throne, who is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He is tempted, tricked, and encouraged to seek out a life that is extraordinary. This time, the thrilling story of “PIPPIN” is offered as a metaphor, as the stage is turned into a full-size doll house, and players are transformed into dusty playthings of the past. (Each one with a purpose and curiosity.) The Leading Player manipulates playtime and we watch as action-figure and doll alike perform this mysterious and thrilling story.

The 1972 musical by Stephen Schwartz, the Grammy and Academy Award-winning theatre giant behind “Wicked,” “Godspell,” and “Children of Eden,” has been successfully produced all over the world and in 2013 won the Tony Award for “Best Revival of a Musical.”

Performances of “PIPPIN” can be seen at 7 p.m. all nights May 8, 9, 15, 16 & 17, with a single 4 p.m. matinee performance on Sunday, May 10. Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased online at www.FaithTheatreCompany.com or www.showtix4u.com. Media and promotional opportunities are supported and sponsored by Rudy Foundation.

9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL

BROADWAY BOUND AND STUDIO ONE’S SUMMERLIN DANCE ACADEMY PRESENT 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL

Broadway Bound and Studio One’s Summerlin Dance Academy are proud to present the theater production of 9 To 5 The Musical at the Summerlin Library Theater September 12 – 27, 2014 for twelve memorable performances, including matinee and evening show times, sponsored and supported by the Rudy Foundation.

Based on the 1980 feature film of the same name, 9 to 5 The Musical is the recipient of four Tony Award nominations and has been enjoyed by many through several national and international tour productions. Set in the late 1970s, a time long before the social prevalence of female businesses powerhouses such as media mogul Oprah Winfrey or Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour, 9 to 5 The Musical tells the story of Violet, Judy, and Doralee – three female coworkers who concoct a plan to get even with the egotistical, lying, tyrant they call their boss.  In a hilarious turn of events, the trio gets to live out their wildest fantasy of giving their boss the boot, giving their office a serious makeover, and taking control of the company that constantly dragged them down. High-energy musical numbers, and an intriguing story filled with friendship, revenge, and even a little romance, are brought to life on stage by Broadway Bound’s troupe of talented young performers.

“Our program is no stranger to providing audiences with high-energy performances that showcase the talent of the young performers in our community,” said Michael Vojvodich, director and instructor of Broadway Bound. “The kids and I are so excited for this production of 9 to 5 The Musical and we’re especially excited to share the laughs and toe-tapping numbers with the audiences.”Vojvodich’s credits include title roles in Jesus Christ Superstar and Jekyll and Hyde, and collaborations with musical theater legends such as Jerry Herman, Susan Egan, Michael McElroy and Marvin Hamlisch.

The Broadway Bound program at Studio One’s Summerlin Dance Academy is the first of its kind in Las Vegas not only to provide its students instruction in acting technique, singing and dancing, but also to offer youth in the community opportunities to be cast in full-scale, multi-show productions. Net proceeds from Broadway Bound shows are donated to Broadway Bound Kidz, a non-profit organization, which is committed to the enrichment, entertainment and education of young people in a theater arts and dance environment.

Mark Shunock Announces June Edition of “Mondays Dark” to Benefit
Rudy Foundation with Special Showcase, “Mama Rocks A Million Boys” Featuring The Strip’s Four Resident Broadway Shows at Vinyl inside
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Monday, June 16th at 8:30 p.m.

Mark Shunock is proud to announce that the June showcase of Mondays Dark will take place on Monday, June 16 at 8:30 p.m. at Vinyl inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.  Following the success of last month’s “Boy Band Night,” 100 percent of the ticket proceeds from the June showcase will benefit Rudy Foundation, and will feature the music of Tony-nominated musicals in an electrifying evening, “Mama Rocks A Million Boys,” showcasing energetic scene favorites from the four celebrated Las Vegas Broadway musicals:  Mamma Mia!, Rock of Ages, Million Dollar Quartet, and Jersey Boys.

“Last month’s ‘Boy Band Night’ was a blast, and this month’s Broadway-themed show shouldn’t be missed, especially with the Tony Awards coming up very soon,” says Shunock, who plays Lonny in the hit Rock of Ages at The Venetian. “The support of the community and the performers here in Las Vegas has truly inspired me to take ‘Mondays Dark’ to a new level each month so that we can continue to raise much needed funds for local charities.”

Every month, Shunock gathers an eclectic cast of guests including stars from Hollywood, the Strip, musical acts, athletes and celebrity chefs for 90 minutes of chat, entertainment – and a lot of laughs. Mondays Dark partners with a different Las Vegas-based charity to raise money each month for that charity through ticket sales and silent auction items.

This month, “Mondays Dark” will partner with recent Best of Henderson honoree Rudy Foundation, a 501©(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities by bringing people together, providing scholarship opportunities in the areas of education, sports, and the performing arts, and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

“It’s an honor to be selected as the charity of choice for Mondays Dark,” says Cheryl Ruettiger, co-founder and executive director of Rudy Foundation. “Mark and Rudy Foundation have a common goal of empowering the youth of Las Vegas through the performing arts in ways that bring our community together.”

Rudy Foundation was inspired by the story of Daniel ‘Rudy’ Ruettiger, a Las Vegas local who grew up in a small town with the dream of playing football at Notre Dame University. Against all obstacles, from low grades and financial hardship to his 5’6” stature, Ruettiger’s spirit and determination persevered, allowing him to be an instrumental force in his team’s win against Georgia Tech. The story of his triumph was told in the 1993 blockbuster film, Rudy, starring Sean Astin.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by visiting www.MondaysDark.com and are limited to 200 tickets per event. For more information please call 702-485-1262. Follow us on Twitter @Mondays_Dark.  To donate silent auction items please call 702-485-1262.

HELLO, DOLLY

BROADWAY BOUND AND STUDIO ONE’S SUMMERLIN DANCE ACADEMY PRESENT HELLO, DOLLY!

Broadway Bound and Studio One’s Summerlin Dance Academy are proud to present the theater production of Hello, Dolly! at the Summerlin Library Theater August 16 – 24, 2013 for eight memorable performances, including matinee and evening show times, sponsored by Rudy Foundation.

Based on Thornton Wilder’s colorful play, The Matchmaker (formerly known as The Merchant of Yonkers), Hello, Dolly! is a ten-time Tony Award-winning musical with a storyline permeating pop culture with film and TV adaptations. Set before the days of BRAVO’s Millionaire Matchmaker, the musical brings audiences back to the turn of the 20th century in New York City. Centered on matchmaker, Mrs. Dolly Levi’s romantic pursuits for Mr. Horace Vandergelder and his famous fortune, the story follows a feisty woman’s journey to achieve love and friendship while helping others do the same. Filled with jovial characters, vibrant dialogue and animated songs, the irresistible story will be brought to life by Broadway Bound’s talented young performers.

“Our program is known for our high-energy productions that are not just entertaining for audiences, but also empowering for young talent. We are so blessed to have had a tremendous amount of community support,” said Michael Vojvodich, director and instructor of Broadway Bound. “The kids and I are so excited for this production of Hello, Dolly! and we’re especially excited to be sharing this experience with the community.” Vojvodich’s credits include title roles in Jesus Christ Superstar and Jekyll and Hyde, and collaborations with musical theater legends such as Jerry Herman, Susan Egan, Michael McElroy and Marvin Hamlisch.
