Comedian and actor Doug Benson is returning to Las Vegas for a special live taping of his hit podcast Doug Loves Movies at the world-famous Comedy Cellar at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 4:20 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are on sale today!

RECAP/Photos: Golden State Warriors Celebrate NBA Championship Title at JEWEL Nightclub- Friday, June 16

Last night (Friday, June 16) NBA champions the Golden State Warriors hosted an exclusive celebration at JEWEL Nightclub inside ARIA Resort & Casino.

Arriving at about 12:30 a.m., the group of players, which included all-stars Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, Matt Barnes, and Damian Jones, among others, were immediately greeted with a procession of stunning staff members and a drumline as they lined the entrance of the nightspot welcoming the team in true Vegas fashion. As the team made their way to their VIP tables, cheers from the jam-packed crowd erupted as blue and gold confetti filled the air and nearly every inch of the nightclub was decked out with the team’s banners and flags. Adding to the fun, giant oversized cutouts of each players’ face were dispersed into the crowed, allowing fans to hold them high into the sky and join in on the welcome celebration as JEWEL resident DJ Irie pumped up the energy in the room. The players and their massive entourage were seen thoroughly enjoying their time in the venue as they were spotted dancing, enjoying cocktails, and mingling at their VIP sections until the early hours of the morning.

As the night went on, Green quickly became the life of the party as he bounced around from his table to the DJ booth, stopping to interact with fans and friends along the way. Smiling non-stop throughout the night, he animatedly posed for pictures, and even got on top of the DJ booth to spray champagne into the vivacious crowd. In order to commemorate the team’s triumphant success, Green was presented an elaborate cake, which was decked out in blue and gold, barred the Warriors logo, and topped with a replica of the Championship trophy. The Warriors’ owners Joseph Lacob and Peter Guber were also in attendance and were seen excitedly posing for photos with Green.

Later in the evening, Durant joined the group and appeared to be much more reserved than the rest of the team. The Finals MVP was spotted chatting with guests and teammates at his VIP table as he took in the sights of the high-energy celebration. Shortly after Durant’s arrival, world-renown comedian Dave Chappelle was seen celebrating with the team at the premier venue‎, as he toasted with the players and even posed for pictures.

The immense celebration at the packed nightclub was the perfect way to honor the team’s successful season and continued until the early hours of the morning.

Saturday night, Snoop Dogg launched his exclusive DJ and performance residency, The Snoopadelic Cabaret, at TAO Nightclub. Looking dapper in a black and white tuxedo, the hip-hop icon arrived in a classic 1928 Cadillac limousine provided by Seiji Limousine and walked the red carpet alongside The Snoopadelic Cabaret cast before heading inside to the roaring 20’s speakeasy-themed affair. Upon arriving, he hopped on the DJ decks to kick off the night with a DJ Snoopadelic set. The wall-to-wall packed house greeted him with wild applause and hands flew up into the air. As he treated partygoers to a roster of club anthems, flapper girls and swing dancers provided decade-themed entertainment. Snoop Dogg then took over the stage to perform a medley of his mega-hits including “The Next Episode,” “Nuthin’ But A G Thang,” “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Gin and Juice.” After closing the performance, he took over the DJ booth once again to treat the crowd to a second DJ Snoopadelic set, keeping the party going into the night. Snoop gave a special shout out to R&B artist Ginuwine, who was there showing his support, and played his classic hit “Pony” for the crowd. Also there supporting was rapper Trinidad James, who joined Snoop in the DJ booth for an impromptu performance of “All Gold Everything.”

 

Actors Dash Mihok and Peter Facinelli were spotted in the crowd at a VIP table taking in the one-of-a-kind atmosphere. DJ and producer Jermaine Dupri was also seen at a VIP table with a group of friends and family.

 

Also on Saturday night, comedians Katt Williams and Dave Chappelle were spotted at Marquee Nightclub. The two took in the euphoric sounds of Kaskade as he launched the nighttime component of his Summer Lovin’ residency.

Nas Celebrates his 40th Birthday at TAO; Busta Rhymes, Dave Chappelle, Trinidad Jame$ and more spotted

Hip Hop legend Nas kicked off his 40th birthday at TAO Beach on Saturday. Arriving with a group of friends, he enjoyed lunch while drinking Dom Perignon and Hennessey cocktails.  He was surprised by friend and fellow hip hop artist Busta Rhymes who came to say happy birthday. The two hung out in the cabana, laughing and singing along to the sounds of DJ Jerzy. Thrilled at the presentation, Nas was then treated to his second birthday cake of the weekend accompanied by a parade of large pool floats. He took photos with the treat adorned with a crown and Mets logo and was later seen tasting it with friends. “All Gold Everything” rapper Trinidad Jame$, who also spent his day at a VIP cabana poolside, later came over to say happy birthday. Nas’ group stayed until 5pm then left to get ready for the big fight.

Later that night, TAO continued Nas’ 40th birthday festivities with a post-fight party. Headlining the evening, Nas arrived in a Waraire Boswell designed gold and black suit and enjoyed dinner with friends in TAO Asian Bistro’s private dining room. The group then took over a VIP section in the center of the club where a custom graffiti wall of Nas’ name was displayed over the dance floor. Flashes filled the space and fans cheered as DJ Vice announced his arrival. Soon afterward, TAO put on a giant birthday presentation that featured a special showcase from professional b-boy dancers and a cake replica of the Queens Bridge. Late night after some Hennessy and Dom Perignon drinks, Nas jumped on the mic and thanked everyone for coming, stating, “I’m 40” while chuckling. He encouraged club goers to “live [their] life to the fullest, don’t stop and take it all the way.” DJ Vice then dropped a medley of his songs including “If I Ruled the World,” “Hate Me Now” and “The Don,” which he rapped along to.

Busta Rhymes, who dined at TAO Asian Bistro earlier that night, took over a VIP table next to Nas. Busta made sure to wish Nas a happy birthday and toast with the crowd to his career, professing his love and admiration for the legendary lyricist as well as dubbing the title of “King of New York.” He then got the entire room to scream “Happy Birthday Nas” before treating the packed room of hip hop fans to his verse from “Scenario” alongside Nas. Downing half of a bottle of Hennessey, Busta then rapped along to some of his hit songs before the royalty duo treated guests to a few tunes before getting back to partying. At 4 am, Busta got back on the mic and took the crowd through a catalogue of Nas’ greatest hits, schooling them on real hip hop.

Comedian Dave Chappelle was also spotted at TAO Nightclub. Chappelle first stopped in the restaurant to wish Nas a happy birthday before taking over a skybox in the nightclub where he also partied with the birthday boy and hopped in the DJ booth to greet the crowd. Trinidad Jame$ was seen partying at a table with friends as was former NFL star Marcus Stroud and actor Dash Mihok, who also had separate VIP tables that evening.

· Shania Twain, born Eilleen Regina Edwards, adopted the stage name “Shania” — an Ojibwa word meaning “I’m on my way.”  She was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and has been singing since she was eight years old.

The renowned Laugh Factory, which has been hailed by USA Today as “the #1 comedy club in the country,” is proud to announce its Grand Opening at the New Tropicana Las Vegas with special guest headliner Paul Rodriguez, May 23-24.

For four shows, Rodriguez will bring his wildly popular brand of comedy to the Laugh Factory Las Vegas stage. With over three decades of comedy under his belt, this irrefutable funnyman guarantees laughs, in more than one language.

Rodriguez has appeared in over 45 films and countless television series and comedy specials. His  impressive filmography includes “Without Men,” “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore,” “Beverly Hills Chihuahua,” “A Cinderella Story,” “Ali,” “Tortilla Soup,” “Blood Work,” “Rat Race” and “Chasing Papi.”

Rodriguez has also appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Last Call with Carson Daly,” “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List” and “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” He has lent his voice to the popular animated programs “King of the Hill” and “Dora the Explorer,” and currently hosts “Mis Videos Locos with Paul Rodriguez” on Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más.

The world famous Laugh Factory and the New Tropicana Las Vegas are launching a multi-venue comedy experience at the recently transformed Strip property. Fun World Media has partnered with Laugh Factory to build this new comedy empire and the first stage of the roll-out will be opening Laugh Factory Las Vegas, a comedy showroom starring the hottest comedians in the business, from established stand-up superstars to the young rising stars of tomorrow. The announcement was made today by the New Tropicana Las Vegas, Jamie Masada, owner of Laugh Factory, and Joseph Merhi, CEO of Fun World Media.

In addition to opening Laugh Factory Las Vegas, Laugh Factory and Fun World Media, an international television and film production company, will co-produce monthly Laugh Factory Superstar Comedy Concerts for the 1,000-seat Tropicana Theater. The partners will also develop and co-produce a variety of comedy specials, television series, reality shows and films; including new episodes of a Laugh Factorys Supreme Court of Comedy which airs on DirecTV, all at the New Tropicana Las Vegas. Laugh Factory will also work with Tropicana Las Vegas to design a new Comedy Walk of Fame, Comedy Wall of Fame and Stand-Up Comedy Interactive Museum, inducting comedy legends and modern stand-up celebrities to establish the venue as the empire of comedy in Las Vegas.

This project is part of the $180 million transformation of Tropicana Las Vegas into a vibrant, exciting resort with a South Beach rhythm and vibe. Its complete transformation includes a fresh redesign of each best-in-class room and suite, the casino, the conference center and exhibition hall, several new restaurants and bars, a new poker room, a new race and sports book, a new spa and fitness center, and a new beach club and nightclub.
