TOURNAMENT OF KINGS INTRODUCES ITS  FIRST FEMALE HORSE RIDER

FEMALE HORSE RIDER

Tournament of Kings at Excalibur Hotel & Casino, the most exciting dinner show on the Vegas Strip, recently introduced its newest cast member and first female horse rider Iranda Dyer. Dyer was hired to perform alongside the other maidens of Tournament of Kings in a new dance routine, but has a unique role and dance partner. Dyer, a skilled rider with 20 years of experience with horses, sits atop Nobilissimo, one of the show’s four-legged cast members, and commands him through a performance of dressage. Considered an art, dressage is a routine in which horse and rider make precise movements as one harmonious team.

Nobilissimo is an Andalusian, a breed commonly referred to as “the horse of the kings.” When Dyer is not working with him at Tournament of Kings she works as a sports massage therapist for horses at three Las Vegas equine centers. Dyer currently performs in Tournament of Kings Friday, Sunday and Monday.

The Australian Bee Gees Show Host Performances Benefiting the American Red Cross Labor Day Weekend

The Australian Bee Gees Show Host Performances Benefiting the American Red Cross Labor Day Weekend

The Australian Bee Gees ShowA Tribute to the Bee Gees and the Southern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross have partnered to host a series of special performances at Excalibur Hotel & Casino. This Labor Day weekend, a portion of proceeds from all ticket sales will benefit the American Red Cross. As people across the country prepare to celebrate Labor Day with fun-filled festivities, The Australian Bee Gees Show will encourage visitors to stay safe.

Michael Clift, who performs as Barry Gibb, said, “We are thrilled to take our partnership with the Red Cross to the next level and look forward to spreading the word about safe practices over the popular holiday weekend. The organization does so much locally and nationwide that we felt it was important to raise some money and give back to its cause.”

This is not the first time the American Red Cross and The Australian Bee Gees Show have joined forces. The two groups launched their partnership back in June after discovering a tie between the popular tune “Stayin’ Alive” and CPR. At 103 beats per minute, the disco hit’s tempo almost perfectly matches the recommended rate for performing hands-only CPR — 100 chest compressions per minute, with no mouth-to-mouth resuscitation necessary.

A high-energy production guaranteed to have audiences on the dance floor, The Australian Bee Gees Show features iconic classics that changed the sound of music including “You Should Be Dancing,” “Stayin’ Alive,” “To Love Somebody,” “Night Fever” and “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart,” among others.

Formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1996, The Australian Bee Gees Show has taken the world by storm.  The multi-media concert event utilizes state-of-the-art sound and superb lighting coupled with giant screens featuring video clips, live camera images and stunning graphics. Entering its 17th year as a group, the tribute band has performed more than 4,000 shows in more than 40 countries.

The Australian Bee Gees Show is produced by SPI Entertainment, the premier provider of world-class entertainment in Las Vegas including Smokey Robinson Presents: Human Nature – The Motown Show, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, Australia’s Thunder From Down Under and Divas – Starring Frank Marino.

The Australian Bee Gees Show takes the stage Saturday through Thursday at 7 p.m. nightly in the Thunder From Down Under Showroom at Excalibur Hotel & Casino. Tickets can be purchased at the Excalibur box office, online at www.excalibur.com or by phone at (702) 597-7600. It provides all the necessities for a good time, serving massive cocktails and finger foods by the bucket. The menu includes American cuisine favorites such as the Macho Nachos, The Big A$$ Burger and the Sampla Platta, which comes with Chicky Tenders, Wings, Fry’d Cheeze and Fry’d Shrimp, only to be washed down with 18 different draft beers on tap or a selection of eight flavors of signature-blended daiquiris. The opposite of a standard restaurant establishment, Dick’s Last Resort has a sassy staff, sure to deliver a side of friendly sarcasm and clever wisecracks.

The Lounge at Excalibur Welcomes
New House Band ‘Dollface’

Excalibur Hotel & Casino’s full service bar, The Lounge, introduces new resident band Dollface. The all-girl band comprised of unique, pop-punk musicians plays for guests looking for a variety of music in one show.

Dollface rocks out under the leadership of Tiffany Martin (vocals), accompanied by Crystal Mesina (bass), Danielle Delin (guitar) and Niki Sticks (drums). The ladies’ love of performing and energetic stage presence sets them apart from other house bands on The Strip.

The Lounge is open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Guests are encouraged to stop by the bar for a quick drink or sit and enjoy a cocktail with friends. And, for those moments when Dollface performs a guest’s favorite song and they just need to get up and dance, The Lounge has just the spot! Guests must be 21 and over to enter.
