HIGH ROLLER, THE WORLD’S TALLEST OBSERVATION WHEEL,
TO TURN FIVE ON SUNDAY, MARCH 31

Birthday Celebrations to Include Themed Cocktails
and Special Pricing for Las Vegas Locals and Visitors

Towering at 550 feet in the air, High Roller is the iconic engineering marvel that forever changed the Las Vegas skyline. On Sunday, March 31, High Roller at The LINQ Promenade, the world’s tallest observation celebrates its fifth birthday.

To celebrate, birthday special offers will begin on Friday, March 29 and will be available until the end of April.

IN THE BEGINNING
Las Vegas is a place of superlatives, home to some of the brightest lights and largest hotels. When a new attraction is added, it can easily fade into the 24-hour action and activity that defines the city.

The addition of High Roller in 2014 was far more than just another attraction, however, and its arrival made an indelible impact on the Las Vegas Strip. In fact, this striking observation wheel did the opposite, permanently altering the Las Vegas skyline and creating a brand-new, bird’s-eye view of the city appreciated by millions of visitors from around the world.

Anchoring Caesars Entertainment’s open-air, pedestrian-friendly destination The LINQ Promenade, High Roller is a 21st-century architectural achievement. This eye-catching attraction is visible from miles away, as well as an iconic monument noted for its impressive craftsmanship, groundbreaking engineering elements and innovative development team that turned vision into reality.

The observation wheel is crafted from the world’s finest materials and made possible by myriad teams who worked tirelessly for four years to develop and build the attraction. With a unique single-rim design and 28 spacious, spherical cabins, visitors enjoy the memorable 30-minute rotation experience that provides breathtaking 360-degree views of Las Vegas. The same year it opened, Guinness World Records designated High Roller as “The World’s Tallest Observation Wheel.”

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
The High Roller Wheelhouse will be adorned with birthday décor including balloons and streamers throughout the weekend.

As for the wheel itself, five cabins will be decorated for its momentous birthday, filled with large-scale games for guests to play, including Connect Four and Jenga, as a way for riders of all ages to be entertained and play during the 30-minute rotation.

Maxie’s at The LINQ Promenade will debut on March 15, becoming Las Vegas’ newest hotspot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Maxie’s menu will feature ostentatious breakfast and lunch classics, as well as a collection of contemporary deli dishes. Operated by Hospitality Boulevard, Maxie’s will be located next to the base of High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel.

Who is Maxie? Ryan Klaasen, co-founder and chief executive officer, Hospitality Boulevard explains the idea of the name.

“Food carries so many wonderful memories from our childhoods. The name Maxie is the idea that she’s ‘Grandma Maxie’ and her food brings back warm and happy memories. We talk about these wonderful memories as we eat the food and these memories are strong because they touch our senses of taste, touch, smell and the sense of love and happy familiarity in our hearts,” says Klaasen.

Maxie’s will offer contemporary modern diner décor with distinctive accents such as a clean color palette of gray and white punctuated with pops of aqua and red, a black and white checkerboard ceiling and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating.

  • Bodybuilder Breakfast: Egg whites, pulled chicken, peppers and onions with chunks of sweet potatoes

For guests longing for familiar deli entrées with Maxie’s “something extra”:

  • BBQ Brisket & Eggs Benedict: Beef brisket, poached eggs, cheesy Béchamel sauce with a dash of hot sauce, all stuffed into a hollowed brioche loaf
  • Pastrami Benedict: Sliced pastrami, poached eggs, crispy potato latkes and hollandaise sauce, stuffed into a hollowed brioche loaf
  • The Jackpot: Triple decker pastrami and corned beef with melted Swiss cheese, and coleslaw topped with Russian dressing on rye bread

Additional traditional deli staples such as Matzah Ball Soup (shredded chicken, fresh vegetables in a homemade chicken broth) will also be served.

For guests pressed for time – Maxie’s will launch its Grab-and-Go menu. Upon entering the restaurant, guests will see the assembly line where they can build their own boxed lunches and dinners with options including sandwiches, as well as bagels and cream cheese.

At the entrance will also be a bar serving juices (flavors will include orange, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, cranberry, celery and lemon and “super greens”) and cereal-flavored milkshakes including:

  • PB & J: Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries and Reese’s Pieces cereal, fresh strawberry jam and peanut butter topped with whipped cream
  • Banana Elvis: Peanut butter with banana, chocolate, Coco Pebbles with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and caramel
  • Cotton Candy: Fluffy cotton candy, cotton candy cream cheese, pop rocks, Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries

A new collection of cocktails and a Saturday brunch menu will also be announced later this year.

“We created a warm and relaxing restaurant that serves food that tastes great and looks great, appealing to everyone, from families to groups,” concludes Joey Pintozzi, co-founder and vice president of sales and marketing, Hospitality Boulevard. “With the excitement and energy of The LINQ Promenade and all of the attractions and special events it offers, Maxie’s will be a restaurant guests of all ages will love.”

The High Roller Observation Wheel Ranked No. 5 on TripAdvisor’s
List of 25 “Top Trending U.S. Attractions”

High Roller Was the Only Las Vegas Attraction Included

The High Roller, the world’s highest observation wheel located at the The LINQ Promenade, ranked No. 5 among TripAdvisor’s recently released list of 25 “Top Trending U.S. Attractions,” resulting from its Seasonal Attractions Index for Spring. The High Roller was the only Las Vegas attraction to appear on the list, which included attractions from around the United States.

Attractions were selected based on the greatest percentage increase in traveler interest and search activity on TripAdvisor between 2016 and 2017. TripAdvisor attractions include 56,000 bookable tours, activities and experiences in 2,500 destinations and 165 countries.

“It is a thrill to be the only Las Vegas attraction to appear on TripAdvisor’s list of Top Trending U.S. Attractions alongside such illustrious company,” said Shaun Swanger, vice president and general manager, The LINQ Promenade and High Roller. “We’re gratified to know TripAdvisor’s customers have an ever-growing interest in learning more about the High Roller experience.”

One of the most iconic destinations on the Las Vegas Strip, offering expansive, 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Strip and beyond, the High Roller has captured the world’s attention since opening in 2014. Visitors can not only experience the 30-minute ride inside one of 28 spherical, climate-controlled cabins, but also a variety of other dynamic experiences aboard the High Roller:

Reservations must be booked at least 24 hours in advance Yoga is offered Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • The chocolate tasting experience with Ethel M Chocolates is the only one of its kind in North America. The 30-minute (one rotation) adventure includes a chocolatier ambassador showcasing different chocolate pieces and the story behind them. Tastings are available every Thursday, starting at 5 p.m.
  • Lights at The LINQ is Las Vegas’ newest outdoor entertainment experience, set to four different popular songs incorporating the High Roller observation wheel, the Cake Topper above Sprinkles Cupcakes and The LINQ Fountains. Comprising more than 2,000 individual, energy-efficient LED lights syncopated to music, the show features countless combinations of changing colors and varying intensities to create a uniquely dynamic visual experience.
