Caesars Entertainment Brings CAESARS FORUM to 14 Cities Beginning Feb. 11

More than 170 contracts, $460 Million and 1.3 Million room nights booked

 Caesars Entertainment, one of the most diversified casino-entertainment companies in the world, announces today “All Roads Lead to CAESARS FORUM” tour, beginning Feb. 11. The five-week tour will stop in 14 cities across the country offering a pop-up CAESARS FORUM brand experience to preview Las Vegas’ newest, 550,000-square-foot conference center opening March 18.

Senior Executives from Caesars Entertainment will host an immersive experience at each stop to introduce CAESARS FORUM, offering a glimpse of its capabilities and features. Each of these events will include authentic, regionally inspired culinary offerings, a noted industry speaker, and live entertainment. Participants at  each event will represent meetings and events planners in that region, as well as local and trade media.

The Donut Bar in Downtown Las Vegas has joined the fight to combat youth homelessness with a special promotion in conjunction with the 10th Annual Homeless Youth in the Alley Bowling Tournament to benefit Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth.

 

From Sunday, May 5 to Saturday, May 11, the Donut Bar will donate 25 percent of donut sales of the “HYA Donut Special” to the nonprofit Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, the most comprehensive provider of life-saving services for homeless youth in Southern Nevada. The designated donut is the Crème Brulèe Donut, the Donut Bar’s most popular offering.

 

The Donut Bar promotion leads up to the Homeless Youth in the Alley Bowling Tournament on Saturday, May 11 at the Suncoast Bowling Center, and allows the community to help homeless youth who may not be able participate in either the “Superheroes by Day” event or “Vigilantes by Night” competition.  Tickets are still available with prices starting at $25 per bowler or $125 per team of five. Eight new events have been added to the stellar Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit lineup, including a behind-the-scenes kitchen experience at The Venetian Resort, as well as new dining and entertainment offerings at Caesars Entertainment and MGM Resorts’ ARIA.

  • Behind the Scenes with the Master Chefs of France (The Venetian Resort), Thursday, May 9: Join the Master Chefs of France for a rare glimpse in their natural setting as they prepare gourmet masterpieces right in front of your eyes. The evening will begin with a craft cocktail reception at the beautiful Rosina Cocktail Bar. Guests will then be escorted to a private kitchen in the heart of The Venetian where the famed chefs will be waiting with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. There, guests will be fully immersed in the art of the chefs’ process while enjoying a cornucopia of creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes, lavish cheese plates and desserts accompanied by some of France’s best wines. ‘Maître Cuisinier de France’ or ‘The Master Chefs of France’ is one of the most envied titles that chefs can aspire to receive, as they are often given the highest classification in restaurant guides and are regularly mentioned in the world’s leading food and travel magazines.   • Sip & Savor: An Evening with CATCH and GQ (ARIA Resort & Casino), Thursday, May 9: Join GQ at The Strip’s latest hot spot, CATCH. Specialties will include steamed pork Siu Mai with quail egg, prawn har gao and custard buns, among other traditional dishes that pair perfectly with wine and signature Mott 32 cocktails.   • Think Italian: The Art of Italian Eating and Drinking (The Venetian Resort), Friday, May 10: Celebrate the art of making traditional Italian cuisine at its finest from Chef Angelo Auriana and Restaurateur Matteo Ferdinandi, partners and owners of The Factory Kitchen. Guests will learn how to make pasta, cannolis and cocktails while tasting every bite and more of the family recipes from Italy.

 

  • ABSINTHE Uncork’d – Get Lit with Gazillionaire Under the Absinthe Electric Oak™ (Caesars Palace), Saturday, May 11: Spiegelworld has always believed that the party does not start or end with the ground-breaking shows it presents onstage. A very limited number of guests will join The Gazillionaire (the host and producer of ABSINTHE) for an exclusive Absinthe cocktail demonstration while enjoying appetizers provided by Café Americano and specialty cocktails provided by Belvedere. The Venetian Cocktail Collective lead bartenders, Juyoung Kang and Evan Hosaka, will educate and guide guests through the history and relevance of specific bitters and house made syrups, as well as signature cocktails made at all three bars. Guests will also get an in-depth, step-by-step demonstration of the signature drinks before they step behind the bar to show off their own skills. Guests will also be treated to a reception in their honor with lite bites to enjoy alongside their libation creations.

 

  • Tour the Night Market at SUGARCANE with Chef Timon Balloo (The Venetian Resort), Saturday, May 11: Inspired by the famed night markets of Southeast Asia, SUGARCANE raw bar grill’s lounge transforms into an exhilarating and immersive pop-up featuring hawker-style “stalls.” Each will serve Chef Timon’s take on authentic Southeast Asian and global cuisine and will offer unique and festive specialty cocktails for whisking the night away.

 

  • CHICA “Mom-Mosa” Brunch with Chef Lorena Garcia (The Venetian Resort), Sunday, May 12: Join Chef Lorena Garcia to celebrate the second anniversary of CHICA at The Venetian in a stunning celebration of Latin American cooking and hospitality showcasing flavors, influences and techniques all reimagined in her distinct global style. RECAP: Hakkasan Group Hosts Benefit Concert With Headlining Artists Céline Dion, Tiësto, Zedd, Kaskade, Steve Aoki, and Many More- Tuesday, Nov. 7

 

Last night (Tuesday, Nov. 7) Hakkasan Group hosted an incredible Benefit Concert at OMNIA Nightclub inside Caesars Palace. In response to the tragic events that took place on October 1 at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, the Las Vegas-based hospitality company brought locals, partygoers, and artists together for an eventful evening to raise funds for those affected.

The nightspot opened its doors at 9:30 p.m. and welcomed some of the industry’s top turntable artists including Tiësto, Zedd, Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Party Favor, Cash Cash, Nghtmre, and more in the main room, while renowned SKAM Artists Lil Jon, FAED, Turbulence, Crooked, NEVA and OB One took over Heart of OMNIA as Bojo from Vegas’ Q 100.5, kept the energy going throughout the night. Adding to the excitement, UFC’s official Octagon announcer Bruce Buffer participated throughout the night as he helped hype up the packed room and welcomed artists to the stage.

As the night went on, the nightspot was treated to an unbelievable surprise as legendary singer, and Vegas icon, Céline Dion joined DJ Steve Aoki on stage. The energy in the room reached an all-time high as she performed a special rendition of her classic song “My Heart Will Go On” alongside the popular DJ. The highly-acclaimed vocalist had the entire room in awe and singing along as she provided guests with an unforgettable and intimate performance experience. Following the incredible rendition, Aoki joined Dion atop of the DJ booth as they both showed off some of their best dance moves, while the packed nightspot collectively basked in the amazing moment.

The Benefit Concert went on into the early hours of the morning as the artists played back-to-back sets, making for a tremendously remarkable affair. With the goal of bringing the community together, and to further cement Vegas as the entertainment capital of the world, Hakkasan Group is pleased to announce that together we raised over $1,000,000 through donations, ticket sales, and all revenue earned throughout the night, all of which is being donated to the Las Vegas Victims Fund, via the Direct Impact Fund.

THE LINQ PROMENADE AND HIGH ROLLER ANNOUNCE NOVEMBER EVENTS

 

The LINQ Promenade, Caesars Entertainment’s open-air shopping, dining and entertainment district at the center of the Las Vegas Strip, announces special offers and events for November.

The High Roller Observation Wheel: On Cyber Monday, Nov. 27, riders will receive buy-one, get-one anytime tickets for the tallest observation wheel in the world.

Guests attending the Special Equipment Market Association (SEMA) conference through Tuesday, Nov. 3 will receive $20 anytime tickets by showing a 2017 conference lanyard.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon participants will receive 50 percent off tickets on Nov. 11 – 13 when they show their badges.

3D Art Installation at The LINQ Promenade: On Wednesday, Nov. 1, The LINQ Promenade will begin the installation of a 3D art piece near Las Vegas Blvd. west of the Center Strip Box Office. The piece will begin with sketching on Nov. 1 and conclude Saturday, Nov. 4. Artists will be onsite painting from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Large worn and weathered Tetris-themed blocks will be stacked below and suspended from the top of the image. Guests can be part of the picture by standing above or beneath the blocks as if they are about to crushed. Giant prehistoric insects like dragonflies and snails will roam the space.

Local high school students who recently completed the first-ever Young Executive Scholars (YES) program were treated to a performance of “Jennifer Lopez: All I Have” at The Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino courtesy of Caesars Entertainment and Live Nation Las Vegas. In addition to enjoying the high-energy show, the scholars had the opportunity to meet the global superstar backstage.
The outing was part of the prize package offered to the student participants in YES –  a program that united the project-based mentoring of Core Academy, powered by The Rogers Foundation, with the gaming-hospitality expertise of UNLV International Gaming Institute (IGI)
As part of the four-week course designed to enhance the pipeline of homegrown hospitality talent, the students participated in a team competition, with each team imagining, designing and presenting their own world-class integrated resort business and community plans. Following group presentations earlier this summer, each member of the four-person winning team was surprised with a $10,000 scholarship.
Modeled after the IGI and University of Nevada, Reno’s world-class Executive Development Program, the YES program introduced 20 college-bound high school scholars to the hospitality and tourism industry. During the summer program, scholars experienced a number of special opportunities, including interaction with some of the most prominent figures in the hospitality industry, exclusive back-of-house tours and experiential outings, and one-on-one classroom mentoring time – all while discovering the various career opportunities available to them in the hospitality and tourism industry right here in Las Vegas.

Canter’s Deli: The much-anticipated Los Angeles import will open its first Las Vegas Strip location this fall. The restaurant is renowned for its authentic deli-style experience and its proud history of celebrity clientele. Canter’s will be open until 1 a.m. Monday through Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. (Opening October/November 2017)

Yesterday (July 10, 2017), magician Mat Franco  had the honor of unveiling his new namesake marquee, Mat Franco Theater at The LINQ Hotel & Casino, which was renamed by the center-Strip resort in celebration of his continued career success. Kicking off the milestone afternoon, the property’s regional president, Eileen Moore welcomed the crowd of invited guests and fans before inviting Mat to help her in unveiling the venue’s new signage. “Today’s a special day for us here at The LINQ, because we’re able to rename The LINQ Theater in Mat’s honor and really put a world-class stamp on our property,” shared Moore.

 

After revealing the long-awaited marquee, Franco expressed his gratitude for his producers and management teams at BASE Entertainment, Caesars Entertainment, and Red Light Management, as well as his mass of supporters and fans. “But we have more than a quarter of a million people who’ve all come through these doors over the last two years to thank most of all,” shared Franco.

 

Moore returned to the floor to introduce Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick, who presented Franco with a plaque proclaiming July 10, 2017 as “Mat Franco Day” on the Las Vegas Strip and throughout the county. Commissioner Kirkpatrick concluded the presentation by surprising Franco with his very own Key to The Strip, an honor bestowed upon The Strip’s top entertainers and public figures.

Veteran Unemployment Rate in Nevada Lowest it has been in Nine Years

 

As part of Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s successful Veteran Integration Program, local veterans will receive the VIP treatment at the nonprofit’s Veteran Job Fair presented by USAA Bank on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Goodwill’s Career Connections at 1280 W. Cheyenne Ave. (at MLK Blvd.), North Las Vegas, NV 89030.

Veterans will receive priority registration for free workshops starting at 9 a.m. focusing on building stronger resumes, interview tips and financial literacy.   In addition, veterans will have the opportunity to be seen first by employers during the job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

At its peak in mid-2011, the veteran unemployment rate in Nevada was 14.7%, almost double the national average at the time.  According to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR), the jobless rate for veterans for the past twelve months is now 3.8%, the lowest in nine years.

As a direct result of this community’s needs, mission leaders at Goodwill of Southern Nevada started the Veteran Integration Program in 2012, a specialized job placement and training service focused on the specific needs veterans and family members face when re-entering the workforce.

Since inception of the program, 1,123 local veterans and immediate family members who faced multiple barriers to employment have become employed at businesses around the valley.

“Our Veteran Integration Program continues to be part of the solution here in Southern Nevada,” said Steve Chartrand, president & CEO of Goodwill of Southern Nevada.  “It is staffed by veterans who know the unique challenges veterans face when adjusting to civilian life.  We are proud to serve those who have served us and help our local economy grow stronger year by year.”

Caesars Entertainment, Darin Feinstein, venture capitalist, and owner of Las Vegas-based Red Mercury Entertainment alongside Executive Producer Larry Rudolph in the award-winning Las Vegas residency for Britney Spears, “Britney: Piece of Me” at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, launched “Rock the Night for The Shade Tree” this past Wednesday, April 5. After months of careful planning and collaboration of all three powerhouse entertainment entities, an impactful partnership was formed to offer an evening of unforgettable support and inspiration for one of the Las Vegas charities closest to their hearts, The Shade Tree. “Rock the Night for The Shade Tree,” a special night devoted to the many residents of The Shade Tree, will join the already successful annual event produced by Feinstein and Red Mercury “Annual Holiday Give Back” which celebrates its fifth year this December as a reoccurring summer event produced for the local shelter providing much needed support and safe refuge for women, children and their pets.

“Having a close family member that suffered years of abuse, makes it all the more meaningful to be able to produce events like this,” said Feinstein. “This night will not cure the problems these women and children suffered at the hands of abusive people, but will hopefully brighten their day while they are dealing with the tragic circumstances they have been forced into.”

The inaugural “Rock the Night for The Shade Tree” took place Wednesday, April 5th and welcomed more than 350 residents, staff, board members, friends and family of The Shade Tree to an all-expense paid night on the town complete with private bus charters that transported the large group to and from the Downtown Las Vegas shelter allowing them an exciting stress-free Las Vegas entertainment experience. The Shade Tree group was then treated to dinner at Fatburger on the Las Vegas Strip, owned by Feinstein, and tickets for the entire group to experience a live Las Vegas performance of “Britney: Piece of Me” at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

“The women at the shelter had a fabulous night out filled with great food and music. Britney’s performance was empowering and inspirational; just what the ladies need,” said Marlene Richter, executive director The Shade Tree. “We all feel honored to have been a part of the first Rock the Night. We are grateful to Darin, Larry, Caesars and Britney.”

The “Rock the Night for The Shade Tree” hopes to grow with each year offering new and different events and performances revolving around inspirational entertainment. Plans for 2018 dates and performances are already being discussed in an effort to tie together Las Vegas tour stops for visiting shows and additional Las Vegas celebrity headliners.

$50,000 CHECK PRESENTATION, NOV. 16

 

The beloved OVIP Night at Opportunity Village’s Magical Forest will commence with a $50,000 check presentation, courtesy of Caesars Entertainment. Joined by 100 of Caesars Heroes volunteers, President and CEO of Opportunity Village Bob Brown will kick off the festivities by accepting a generous donation from Caesars representatives Blake and Eric Segal.

 

The 25th Annual Magical Forest at Opportunity Village has been Las Vegas’ most cherished and longest running holiday tradition. Each year, an entire evening is dedicated to the celebration of Opportunity Village’s true champions – the OVIPs. To show their appreciation, the organization grants free admission to all OVIPs and up to three guests, along with access to all rides, a meal, hot cocoa and a photo with Santa Claus.

 

Fun for all ages, a variety of family-friendly attractions can be found at Magical Forest with the Forest Express passenger train and depot, Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel, Boris the Elf’s 3D Experience, the all-new Avalanche Slide, Rudolph’s Raceway, Rod’s Mini Golf, the Ethel M Candy Cabin and photo opportunities with Santa and his Elves in the Workshop.

The Magical Forest is open every night from Nov. 19, 2016 through Jan. 1, 2017 at 5:30 p.m., with the exception of Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 24) and Christmas Day (Dec. 25). General admission tickets for adults are $11.99, while children’s tickets are $9.99. Wristbands will be sold for $12 and individual ride tickets for $3.
