Lady Antebellum Reveals The Beat Of HEART BREAK

LADY ANTEBELLUM SHARES THE PULSE BEHIND SIXTH STUDIO ALBUM
HEART BREAK – AVAILABLE JUNE 9TH

Upcoming Record Is Available For Pre-Order Now

ACM-Nominated Trio Brings Surprise Element To Award Show This Sunday,
With “You Look Good” Performance

-With a new sense of history and possibilities, Lady Antebellum reveals the cover art and track listing behind their sixth studio album HEART BREAK (Capitol Records Nashville), out June 9th. Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott had a new mission — setting aside time to put themselves in new surroundings, and concentrate on writing and exploring musical endeavors with no distractions. They rented a house in Florida, living and working under the same roof, and when the creative process proved successful, the trio set up a second retreat in southern California. Fans can now pre-order the ACM-nominated trio’s upcoming release at www.ladyantebellum.com.

“When we started working on this record, the goal was to give ourselves some space from the day to day,” said Scott. “Surrounding ourselves in a new environment with sunny beaches and warm weather really helped free our minds to focus solely on our art. We took some of our favorite writers and other writers we hadn’t worked with before to a new inspiring backdrop, where we were able to just write and soak up the journey. And it was on our first trip in Florida when we wrote ‘Heart Break’ that we felt it all click.”

Alongside producer busbee, their desire to shake things was made evident by their current Top 20 single “You Look Good,” complete with a funky horn arrangement. Elsewhere, HEART BREAK ranges from the sweet melancholy of “Somebody Else’s Heart” to the dramatic, surging ballad “Hurt,” which is a powerful vehicle for Scott’s voice as she soars over a spare rhythm section and classic string arrangement. With the clever extended metaphor of its lyrics and percolating groove, “Army” has a feel that’s a throwback to ‘70s pop, while the bright, breezy lift-off of “Think About You,” with an R&B-style guitar bouncing off of a banjo lick, is entirely of the moment.

“Being together every day, living in a house together, that was the special ingredient this time,” continued Haywood, “And then in the studio, busbee added a whole new layer. He’s such an integral part of this new chapter for us.”

The trio had a hand in writing eleven songs on HEART BREAK, resulting in their most intimate and heartfelt work to date. As Lady A gears up to get back on the road, the group is excited to add this new range of sounds and colors into a set already packed with a familiar arsenal of hits.

“This record is really our story,” adds Kelley. “They have a universal feel to them, but there’s a lot of our personal stories here.”

HEART BREAK TRACK LIST:

After taking time to pursue solo projects last year, Lady Antebellum’s “renewed energy” (People) follows more than 18 million units, nine No. One hits, ACM and CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” trophies three years in a row, and countless other honors including Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards.

Honing in on the melodious foundation that first brought the multi-PLATINUM trio together, Lady Antebellum returns to radio airwaves today with “You Look Good,” while concurrently announcing it as the debut single off their sixth studio album HEART BREAK (Capitol Nashville), to be released June 9. After taking time to pursue solo projects last year, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood simultaneously share plans to return to the road, with more than 65 shows planned in six countries on their YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR, presented by NABISCO. To celebrate, at 8:00P CT tonight Lady A will host a Facebook Live fan event premiering new music at https://www.facebook.com/ladyantebellum/.

“We knew right away that we had to name this album after a track that is a play on the word ‘heartbreak,’” shared Scott. ”It’s all about those personal growths everyone goes through and it was liberating to get back in the studio with Charles and Dave to intertwine those feelings into the recording process,” said Hillary Scott. “I feel like we’ve reemerged stronger than ever and I can’t wait to share more music!”

Produced by busbee, the trio’s “You Look Good” features dynamic vocals with crisp horns and is available at Country radio and available now at all digital and streaming partners. Fans can take a look into the making of “You Look Good” with its lyric video featuring photos from the band’s time making new music here: http://umgn.us/youlookgoodvevo

“We’ve always loved experimenting with different instruments and sounds in the studio, but we’ve never used horns before,” said Haywood. “The energy they brought to this song is really fun and was validation for all three of us that it had to be our first single back.”

“There’s also something contagious about the chorus that will be perfect in our live shows this year,” added Kelley. “We knew after the time off that we wanted to get back out on the road in a big way. We couldn’t be more ready to get back out there with the fans and hopefully make a few new ones too.”

Lady A’s YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR, presented by NABISCO, opens in North America launching on May 26 in Bakersfield, CA with special guests Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young. MULTI-GRAMMY NOMINATED HILLARY SCOTT

TRADITIONS TO TODAY NEXT WEEK

The “Tenderhearted Family Collaboration” (People)
Garners Two GRAMMY Nominations

Tis the season for close-knit gatherings as the current two-time GRAMMY-nominated Hillary Scott & The Scott Family invite TODAY along to celebrate the holidays. From her home just outside of Nashville, TN, Hillary Scott sits-down with Jenna Bush Hager to recall favorite Christmas traditions and discuss the impact of the group’s GRAMMY-nominated “Best Contemporary Christian Music Album” LOVE REMAINS, which also received a “Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song” nod for its chart-topping single “Thy Will.” Fans can tune-in to watch Hillary alongside her mother Linda Davis, father Lang Scott and younger sister Rylee, next week on Dec. 21 (7:00A CT on NBC) as they join together around the piano to reprise their favorite carols and holiday stories.

The “tenderhearted family collaboration” (People) behind LOVE REMAINS is the mix of the rich, entwined voices of the Scotts, on “new co-writes, lesser-known oldies and time-honored gospel staples” (Rolling Stone). The 13-track collection of faith-based songs was produced by Ricky Skaggs and are a collection of songs that find the redemption in struggle, the peace in death and the joy in bonding with family members whenever times are tough. LOVE REMAINS follows more than 18 million album sales worldwide for Hillary Scott as one-third of the one of the world’s most popular groups, Lady Antebellum. The trio has made nine trips to No. one, earned seven GRAMMY awards and has been dubbed ACM and CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” three years in a row.
