Lady Antebellum Reveals The Beat Of HEART BREAK

LADY ANTEBELLUM SHARES THE PULSE BEHIND SIXTH STUDIO ALBUM
HEART BREAK – AVAILABLE JUNE 9TH

Upcoming Record Is Available For Pre-Order Now

ACM-Nominated Trio Brings Surprise Element To Award Show This Sunday,
With “You Look Good” Performance

-With a new sense of history and possibilities, Lady Antebellum reveals the cover art and track listing behind their sixth studio album HEART BREAK (Capitol Records Nashville), out June 9th. Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott had a new mission — setting aside time to put themselves in new surroundings, and concentrate on writing and exploring musical endeavors with no distractions. They rented a house in Florida, living and working under the same roof, and when the creative process proved successful, the trio set up a second retreat in southern California. Fans can now pre-order the ACM-nominated trio’s upcoming release at www.ladyantebellum.com.

“When we started working on this record, the goal was to give ourselves some space from the day to day,” said Scott. “Surrounding ourselves in a new environment with sunny beaches and warm weather really helped free our minds to focus solely on our art. We took some of our favorite writers and other writers we hadn’t worked with before to a new inspiring backdrop, where we were able to just write and soak up the journey. And it was on our first trip in Florida when we wrote ‘Heart Break’ that we felt it all click.”

Alongside producer busbee, their desire to shake things was made evident by their current Top 20 single “You Look Good,” complete with a funky horn arrangement. Elsewhere, HEART BREAK ranges from the sweet melancholy of “Somebody Else’s Heart” to the dramatic, surging ballad “Hurt,” which is a powerful vehicle for Scott’s voice as she soars over a spare rhythm section and classic string arrangement. With the clever extended metaphor of its lyrics and percolating groove, “Army” has a feel that’s a throwback to ‘70s pop, while the bright, breezy lift-off of “Think About You,” with an R&B-style guitar bouncing off of a banjo lick, is entirely of the moment.

“Being together every day, living in a house together, that was the special ingredient this time,” continued Haywood, “And then in the studio, busbee added a whole new layer. He’s such an integral part of this new chapter for us.”

The trio had a hand in writing eleven songs on HEART BREAK, resulting in their most intimate and heartfelt work to date. As Lady A gears up to get back on the road, the group is excited to add this new range of sounds and colors into a set already packed with a familiar arsenal of hits.

“This record is really our story,” adds Kelley. “They have a universal feel to them, but there’s a lot of our personal stories here.”

HEART BREAK TRACK LIST:

1. Heart Break
(Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, Jesse Frasure, Nicolle Galyon)

2. You Look Good
(busbee, Ryan Hurd, Hillary Lindsey)

3. Somebody Else’s Heart

4. This City

5. Hurt

6. Army
(Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, busbee, Nicolle Galyon)

7. Think About You

12. Home

13. Famous

The group’s desire to shake things up was made evident by the album’s first single, the swaggering “You Look Good,” which will receive a special treatment Sunday night when Lady A performs the funky track at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards (4/2 on CBS at 7:00P CT). After taking time to pursue solo projects last year, Lady Antebellum’s “renewed energy” (People) follows more than 18 million units, nine No. One hits, ACM and CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” trophies three years in a row, and countless other honors including Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards.

Lady A will hit more than 65 shows in six countries including South Africa for the first time, on their YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR presented by NABISCO, launching May 26 with special guests Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young. IMPORTANT NOTE:  Awards counts for artists reflect categories in which they have been recognized as individuals or as part of their duo or group. In some cases, an artist may receive more than one nomination which factors into their official count. For example, Keith Urban received two nominations in the Album of the Year category—one each as artist and producer—because that category recognizes both.

Award recipients in each category are noted above parenthetically in the Album of the Year, Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Video of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year.

The official red carpet pre-show for the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards will live stream exclusively on Twitter on April 2, starting at 3pm PT/6pm ET. The pre-show will be available to logged-in and logged-out audiences on Twitter and connected devices.

Academy of Country Music Reveals Plans for The Week Vegas Goes Country

ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC® REVEALS PLANS FOR
“THE WEEK VEGAS GOES COUNTRY®” 2017
INCLUDING 5TH ANNUAL ACM PARTY FOR A CAUSE® FESTIVITIES

SERIES OF INDUSTRY AND FAN EVENTS TO TAKE OVER LAS VEGAS
MARCH 30 – APRIL 2, 2017 SURROUNDING THE 52ND ACM AWARDS®

The Academy of Country Music announced today a return to the organization’s origins in developing The Week Vegas Goes Country® years ago, with an onslaught of events taking over Las Vegas – including a return and expansion of the 5th Annual ACM Party for a Cause® — in conjunction with the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards™, Country Music’s Party of the Year®, which will broadcast LIVE for the first time ever from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 8:00 PM ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.

This year, ACM Party for a Cause will consist of industry and fan events located at different venues across Las Vegas including a new host hotel, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and several others from Thursday, March 30 – Sunday, April 2, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV. Each of the festivities will feature performances by some of the biggest names and hottest new talent in country music including Kelsea Ballerini, Billy Currington, Ryan Follese, Lady Antebellum, LOCASH, Kip Moore, Jake Owen, Chris Stapleton, Michael Tyler, Clay Walker, Brett Young and many others. Festivities will also include interactive ACM fan experiences, which will be announced in the coming weeks. All events will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy, which works to lift lives through the power of music.

“Fourteen years ago, when the Academy moved the Awards to Las Vegas, we kicked off a decade of wide-ranging special events for fans including a motorcycle ride through Las Vegas and the surrounding area, a golf tournament at a prestigious club, concerts on Fremont Street, games and a country lifestyle marketplace and loads of live country music performances. That’s how The Week Vegas Goes Country® earned its moniker.  This year, we’re going back to our roots with the evolution of ACM Party for a Cause events taking place throughout Las Vegas, all benefiting ACM Lifting Lives and the good work of the many worthy organizations Lifting Lives supports through grants and more,” said Ed Warm, Chairman of ACM Lifting Lives and Co-Chairman of the ACM Events Committee. “It feels good to align all of our auxiliary events surrounding the ACM Awards with a philanthropic purpose the fans have always embraced.”

“ACM fans have demanded more events, more artist engagement, more variety,” said George Couri, Co-Chairman of the ACM Events Committee. “Some of our fans clearly like the more intimate environments compared to the big festivals, so this year we will give them that version celebrating more artists up close and in their faces. From songwriter rounds to fun party nights out, with this schedule there will be plenty for fans to dive into all day every day.”
