Tune-In: Lady A Heads To Daytona 500 & Kimmel

“You Look Good” Hits Top 30 at Country Radio
Only Four Weeks After Release

This Sunday, ACM nominee Lady Antebellum will help kick off racing season as the headlining entertainment prior to the start of The 59th Annual DAYTONA 500 (2/26 at 12:00P CT on FOX). The following night, the trio will return to Jimmy Kimmel Live! (2/27 at 10:35P CT on ABC) to join the highly influential R&B/Hip-Hop group Bell Bid Devoe, for a one-time-only “Mashup Monday” featuring Lady AnteBell Biv Devoe.

Dubbed by Rolling Stone as “the most groove-driven song they’ve ever recorded,” Lady A’s “You Look Good” has catapulted up the radio charts landing in the Top 30 only four weeks after its release. As the lead single from their forthcoming sixth studio album HEART BREAK (Capitol Nashville) out June 9, the new track “mixes a dazzling horn section with a swaggering bass riff” (Associated Press) with “snappy funk drums” (LA Times).

The seven-time Grammy award winner’s “renewed energy” (People) follows more than 18 million units, nine No. One hits, ACM and CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” trophies three years in a row, and countless other honors including Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards. Lady A will hit more than 65 shows in six countries on their YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR presented by NABISCO, launching May 26 with special guests Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young. Fans Get Sneak Peek of New Music Tonight via Facebook Live at 8:00P CT

Honing in on the melodious foundation that first brought the multi-PLATINUM trio together, Lady Antebellum returns to radio airwaves today with “You Look Good,” while concurrently announcing it as the debut single off their sixth studio album HEART BREAK (Capitol Nashville), to be released June 9. After taking time to pursue solo projects last year, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood simultaneously share plans to return to the road, with more than 65 shows planned in six countries on their YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR, presented by NABISCO. To celebrate, at 8:00P CT tonight Lady A will host a Facebook Live fan event premiering new music at https://www.facebook.com/ladyantebellum/.

“We knew right away that we had to name this album after a track that is a play on the word ‘heartbreak,’” shared Scott. ”It’s all about those personal growths everyone goes through and it was liberating to get back in the studio with Charles and Dave to intertwine those feelings into the recording process,” said Hillary Scott. “I feel like we’ve reemerged stronger than ever and I can’t wait to share more music!”

Produced by busbee, the trio’s “You Look Good” features dynamic vocals with crisp horns and is available at Country radio and available now at all digital and streaming partners. Fans can take a look into the making of “You Look Good” with its lyric video featuring photos from the band’s time making new music here: http://umgn.us/youlookgoodvevo

“We’ve always loved experimenting with different instruments and sounds in the studio, but we’ve never used horns before,” said Haywood. “The energy they brought to this song is really fun and was validation for all three of us that it had to be our first single back.”

“There’s also something contagious about the chorus that will be perfect in our live shows this year,” added Kelley. “We knew after the time off that we wanted to get back out on the road in a big way. We couldn’t be more ready to get back out there with the fans and hopefully make a few new ones too.”

Nevada Ballet Theatre Names Olivia Newton-John as its 2016 Woman of the Year for the 32nd Annual Black & White Ball

black and white ball 2016

Sponsored by: cartier

Nevada Ballet Theatre (NBT) announced today that it will honor the multi-talented actress, singer, philanthropist and Las Vegas headliner Olivia Newton-John as Woman of the Year for the 32nd Annual Black & White Ball.  With more than 100 million albums sold, her successes include four Grammys, numerous Country Music, American Music, Billboard and People’s Choice Awards, an Emmy Award, ten #1 hits (including “Physical,” which topped the charts for ten consecutive weeks) and more than 15 top 10 singles. In 1978, her co-starring role with John Travolta in “Grease” catapulted her into super-stardom and to date remains the most successful movie musical of all time.  Newton-John’s many contributions to the performing arts and entertainment industry as well as her tireless charitable efforts will be celebrated on Saturday, January 23 at Wynn Las Vegas.

The Black & White Ball, which is chaired by Gillian Wynn, is the 44 year-old ballet company’s largest annual fundraiser. As one of the most anticipated charitable affairs and highly attended black-tie society events in Las Vegas, it hosts an array of local celebrities, dignitaries, VIP’s and arts supporters.

“I’m so honored that NBT has chosen me as their Woman of the Year,” says Newton-John. “Las Vegas has become a second home to me and this honor really makes me feel like a part of this community that I really have grown to love.”

Newton-John discovered her passion for performing at a very young age and by the time she was just fifteen she was already appearing on national television programs in Australia. The successful singer brought her talents to the U.S. with her first state-side album, “Let Me Be There,” in 1973. The success of that album, which included an Academy Of Country Music Award for Most Promising Female Vocalist and a Grammy Award as Best Country Vocalist, proved to be only the beginning of a very exciting career. In addition to “Grease,” her other feature film credits include “Funny Things Happen Down Under,” “Toomorrow,” “Xanadu,” “Two Of A Kind,” “It’s My Party,” “Sordid Lives,” “Score: A Hockey Musical,” and “A Few Best Men.” Most recently, Olivia has returned to the Billboard charts for the first time in over 20 years with a duet with her daughter Chloe Lattanzi. The song, “You Have to Believe,” is a new dance version of “Magic,” her #1 hit from the film “Xanadu” and, the music video peaked at #1 on the iTunes Electronic Dance Charts and, #2 on the iTunes “all music videos” chart.

“Olivia Newton-John is an extraordinary example of a multi-talented, vibrant and timeless performer,” said NBT Co-Founder and Co-Chair Nancy Houssels. “Her career has spanned over five decades and has included award-winning music that is known across the globe and some of the most memorable roles in movie history.” Houssels continued by saying, “Not only has she made amazing contributions to the pop culture landscape, she is a generous and diligent humanitarian, taking on causes from the fight against breast cancer, supporting children’s health organizations, to the United Nations Environmental Program.”

In April 2014, she began yet another chapter in her career with the debut of her residency at the Flamingo Las Vegas titled “Summer Nights.” The popular show is a musical journey through her career in movies and music featuring some of her best known songs. With the launch and success of her show, the beloved singer and actress is now not only an international star but also a Las Vegas icon.  Newton-John is thrilled that a portion of every ticket sold to her Flamingo Las Vegas concerts will benefit the wellness programs at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in her hometown of Melbourne, Australia (OliviaAppeal.com).

In 1985, NBT began honoring female trailblazers – philanthropic pioneer women including former casino owners and hoteliers, politicians, businesswomen, and entertainers who shaped the face of Las Vegas. In 2001, the company honored actress, singer and dancer Debbie Reynolds and since that time, an array of internationally-recognized Broadway performers, actresses and legendary entertainers have been honored:  Chita Rivera, Carol Channing, Celine Dion, Ann-Margret, Rita Rudner, Paula Abdul, Twyla Tharp, Bette Midler, Marie Osmond, Priscilla Presley, Eva Longoria, Mitzi Gaynor and most recently Debbie Allen. In addition to leaving an indelible mark on the world of arts and entertainment, most of these honorees have performed, lived or owned businesses in Las Vegas.

For over three decades, this star-studded gala has raised important funds for NBT, enabling the company to produce professional company dance productions at its performance home, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts; provide quality dance instruction within its affiliated school, the Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre; and share the art form of dance with underserved populations of youth as part of its Education and Outreach program, Future Dance.

 Olivia Newton-John

With more than 100 million albums sold, Olivia’s successes include four Grammys, numerous Country Music, American Music, Billboard and People’s Choice Awards, an Emmy Award, ten #1 hits and more than 15 top 10 singles. She is also proud to be the recipient of the Order of Australia honor and was bestowed the Order of the British Empire by the Queen. In 1978, her co-starring role with John Travolta in “Grease” catapulted Olivia into super-stardom and to date remains the most successful movie musical of all time.

Olivia Newton-John “Summer Nights” at Flamingo Las Vegas is a musical journey through the iconic artist’s illustrious career featuring hits from her early years including “Have You Never Been Mellow,” “Let Me Be There,” “If You Love Me Let Me Know” and “I Honestly Love You,” as well some of her favorites from Grease, “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” “You’re The One That I Want,” and of course, “Summer Nights.”  Favorites and hits from her other movies, including Xanadu, as well as her ‘80s anthem and record breaking song “Physical,” keep the room dancing, while new songs from her recent Billboard hit album “Grace and Gratitude” warm the hearts of the entire audience. A portion of every ticket sold for her Las Vegas show benefits the wellness programs at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in Australia.  In addition, Olivia is the proud co-owner of the award winning spa retreat, Gaia Retreat and Spa (GaiaRetreat.com). She is proud to announce that in addition to numerous international awards, Gaia was recently named the “Best Day Spa in the World” at the World Spa Awards held earlier this month.  Follow Olivia on Twitter @OliviaNJ and Instagram @therealONJ.

The band celebrates its 15th anniversary along with 15 No. 1 singles in 2015

 rascal flatts

The band will perform nine shows, deemed Rascal Flatts Vegas Riot!, at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from Wednesday, February 25 to Saturday, March 14. As the trio celebrates its 15-year anniversary with 15 No. 1 singles, here are 15 reasons (in no particular order) why locals and visitors alike should stay on property and see a Rascal Flatts show:

  1. Because… it’s Rascal Flatts.
    • Rascal Flatts remains the most-awarded country music group of the past decade with eight consecutive studio albums debuting at No. 1. 3. Opening with Craig Wayne Boyd.
    • Kicking off the show each night will be season seven winner of NBC’s “The Voice” Craig Wayne Boyd. The future country superstar already has a No.1 single, “My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face,” under his belt just two months after his big win.
  4. Country nightlife.
    • Throughout the Rascal Flatts Vegas Riot! residency, Dee Jay Silver will perform a mix of Top 40 hits with light infusions of country at Body English Nightclub. Silver has been a top-touring DJ for more than 10 years and has traveled with many legendary country artists including Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan.
  5. Place a bet on “Fast Cars and Freedom.”
    • While on property, head over to the Race & Sports Book powered by CG Technology to place a bet on NASCAR. Rascal Flatts will be singing the national anthem and Boyd will be performing during the pre-race festivities at the Kobalt 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, March 8.
  6. There’s no bad seat in the house.

The venue will offer Rascal Flatts fans the best of both worlds with general admission pit access and reserved seating maxed at a 3,200 capacity to create a more intimate show for concertgoers.

The band, comprised of members from Lifehouse, Matchbox Twenty and Emerson Drive, is known for its eclectic mix of alternative country, classic Americana and modern flavor. The group will perform at Vinyl at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25; Wednesday, March 4; Friday, March 6; and Saturday, March 7.

AMERICAN COUNTRY COUNTDOWN AWARDS finalists and winners, other than Breakthrough Artist of the Year, are determined based on statistics and radio airplay charts from Nov. 1, 2013-Oct. 31, 2014. The finalists for Album of the Year were based on album sales from SoundScan and the finalists for Artist of the Year were based on a combination of Mediabase airplay, digital data provided by Big Champagne and tour information from Pollstar.
