IKE’S LOVE & SANDWICHES DEBUTS ITS FIRST LAS VEGAS LOCATION AT FASHION SHOW LAS VEGAS

 

Ike’s Love & Sandwiches, the wildly popular, cult favorite among sandwich lovers, has debuted its first Las Vegas location. The store is located along The Strip within Fashion Show Las Vegas. A Grand Opening celebration will take place on Thursday, July 11, where the first 50 guests will receive a free sandwich when they follow Ike’s on social media. After the first 50, customers can purchase one sandwich for $5 the rest of the day. Ike Shehadeh, Founder and face behind the brand, will be present for a meet-and-greet with fans and media interviews all day. Guests who take a photo with Ike and post it to social media with the tag #ikesforlife will be entered to win free sandwiches for a year.

Ike’s Love & Sandwiches in Las Vegas is open daily at 3200 Las Vegas Blvd, Suite 3130, Las Vegas, NV 89109 from 10 AM – 9 PM, Monday-Saturday, and 10 AM – 7 PM on Sunday. “It’s safe to say we’ve hit the jackpot here in Vegas,” said Ike Shehadeh, Founder of Ike’s Love & Sandwiches. “Our sandwiches and this city have one thing in common: we’re both out of this world. The High Roller Menu has been in the works for a long time and we’re excited to finally share it with Las Vegas.”

The brand-new Las Vegas location introduces the inaugural High Roller Menu at Ike’s Love & Sandwiches with three decadent sandwiches, all of which feature American Wagyu Roast Beef by Snake River Farms, Sliced Prime Rib by Lowers, Gossner Farms Provolone and Ike’s White Truffle Dirty Sauce. The “Howard Hughes” sandwich, valued at $100, features over 2lbs of premium meats. Smaller appetites can opt for the “Queen of Hollywood’s Royal Cheesesteak” at $69, a slimmer version of the Howard Hughes with added mushrooms. The third High Roller sandwich is “Bugsy Siegel.” Also at $69, this juicy sandwich includes the same premium meats as its High Roller counterparts with added salami, ham and premium butterball turkey.

Two new regular-priced sandwiches have been added to Ike’s deliciously addicting roster in Vegas: “Don’t Put Me On The Backburner” prepared with roast beef, jalapeno bacon, silver BBQ sauce, cheddar and American cheese as well as a vegetarian option that pays homage to the classic Vegas casino, “Silver Slipper,” which is made with vegan fried chicken, cheddar and American cheese. Menu favorites are the award-winning “Ménage a Trois,” a Halal chicken sandwich made with three different cheeses and sauces, as well as “Meatless Mike” with vegan meatballs, marinara and pepper jack. The ample menu includes over 500 vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free sandwich options.

Ike’s Las Vegas expansion follows the recent announcement of plans to grow to over 100 locations by the end of 2020. In 2019 alone, Ike’s has already opened 10 new restaurants with plans for a total of 20 new restaurants by the end of the year. Today, Ike’s has 64 restaurants open across California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii and, just recently, Texas. The store expects to have 100 locations open by the end of 2020.

MDA FILL THE BOOT
In partnership with Clark County Fire Department, Henderson Fire and the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Galleria at Sunset will host the annual Fill the Boot donation drive to help raise money for kids suffering from Muscular Dystrophy. On March 16, April 6 and/or April 13, stop by during regular Galleria hours to make a donation and help raise money for a great organization.

FAMILY FESTIVAL

The Clark County Medical Society Alliance (CCMSA) is celebrating its 70th year of operation, and is hosting its annual Spring Fashion Show on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel, 3960 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Now in it’s 18th year, the annual Spring Fashion Show is regarded as one of the premier philanthropic events in Las Vegas. Showcasing spring designs from the local favorite fashion store, VASARI located at Tivoli Village, the 2019 Spring Fashion Show will raise valuable funds for our autism community including Sunshine Nevada, UNLV Project FOCUS, and New Vista.

Walk with the Heart of a Child Celebrates Its Sweet Sixteen and Celebrates Children’s Heart Foundation’s Littlest Heart Heroes at Annual Event on February 23

 

It’s time to lace up those sneakers and step with purpose to support the one in 100 (or 40,000) children in the United States who are born with a congenital heart defect (CHD) each year.  These 40,000 annual cases make congenital heart defects the leading cause of illness and death in the first year of life. Aiming to raise both awareness and much need funding to fight what can be a deadly pediatric disease, Children’s Heart Foundation invites all Las Vegans to participate in the 16th Annual Walk with the Heart of a Child on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019.  This annual fun walk through Fashion Show (3200 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Las Vegas) allows participants to walk in celebration or in remembrance of the young lives affected by congenital heart defects throughout the Las Vegas community.

The morning of fun and awareness kicks off at 7 a.m. with registration, entertainment, raffles and the popular Kids Zone, with the walk beginning at 8 a.m., followed by the raffle and awards ceremony at 9 a.m.  Online registration can be found at www.chfn.org/walk. Fees are $25 for adults and $15 for active-duty military, students, seniors and virtual walkers (those who cannot attend the event or physically participate). Sponsorships are also available.

Research, education and family assistance are at the heart of Children’s Heart Foundation’s mission.  In the United States, CHD is 60 times more prevalent than childhood cancer, and nearly twice as many children die each year as die from all forms of childhood cancers combined. Research, still grossly underfunded in the field of pediatric cardiology, is the greatest hope for children living with a CHD a chance to live long, healthy lives due to medical and surgical advances and expert care. It is the hope this annual event continues to improve the level of care provided to those impacted by CHD.

Jennifer Lopez Hosts Twin’s 10th Birthday Party at Sugar Factory American Brasserie Las Vegas at the Fashion Show

 

On Thursday, Feb. 22, singer, actress, dancer, and fashion designer Jennifer Lopez hosted her twin’s, Max and Emme, 10th birthday party at Sugar Factory American Brasserie Las Vegas at the Fashion Show.

Jennifer arrived at Sugar Factory wearing a black long sleeve shirt, plaid high-waisted pants, white sneakers, and a high ponytail. The entire group was completely stunned with the festive décor. The room was filled with colorful balloons, goblets filled with jelly beans and gumdrops as centerpieces, floral arrangements, and Sugar Factory’s iconic rubber ducks from wall to wall.

Jennifer and her party of over 30 guests enjoyed macaroni pops, bruschetta, charcuterie board, mixed greens, virgin gummy worm goblets, virgin lollipop passion goblets, virgin watermelon patch goblets, rainbow sliders, pan-roasted NY steak, pan-roasted salmon, and chicken and waffles. For dessert, Max and Emme were surprised with a custom-made red velvet Mario Bros. cake and a chocolate sloth cake, as well as Sugar Factory’s cookie jar sundae, and the world-renowned King Kong Sundae, made with over 24 scoops of ice cream and set ablaze with sparklers.

For some added sweets, all of the party attendees visited Sugar Factory’s confectionary shop and took treats home, including jellybeans, gumballs, gummy bears, gummy worms, M&M’s, Mike & Ikes, Sour Patch Kids, Sour Ropes, a 10 lbs. gummy bear, giant rubber ducks, and stuffed animal “mermacorns.”

The entire party had a fantastic time and was seen taking pictures together, dancing to the restaurant’s lively playlist, staring in awe of the amazing menu items, and being extremely celebratory. Jennifer had a great time dancing, playing with her kids, taking pictures for social, and playing with Emme’s stuffed “mermacorn.” On the way out, they thanked the entire team for making Max and Emme’s birthday special, and promised to return.

NEON MUSEUM’S RED BARN SIGN NOW DISPLAYED ON THE PLAZA AT FASHION SHOW

WHAT:
As part of a new partnership to showcase restored, historic Las Vegas signs on the Las Vegas Strip, the Neon Museum’s iconic Red Barn neon sign has been installed on the Fashion Show’s newly renovated Plaza. Consisting of a rotating lineup of restored, historic signs from the Neon Museum’s collection, this partnership marks the very first time signs from this renowned collection will be displayed on world-famous Strip. After several months, the Red Barn sign will be replaced with a different restored sign from the Neon Museum’s collection.

The Red Barn opened in the late 1950s as an antique store at 1317 Tropicana Avenue and was converted into a bar in the early 1960s. By 1969, it had evolved into one of the first openly gay bars in Las Vegas. Featuring drag shows, such as the popular “RB Follies,” the Red Barn provided a place for the gay community to socialize. The Red Barn also published the “RB Bag,” one of the earliest gay magazines in Southern Nevada. The bar closed in March 1988, and its restored iconic martini glass sign is now a part of the Neon Museum’s collection.

Lush Cosmetics to Triple in Size with New Concept Store at Fashion Show

LUSH COSMETICS TO TRIPLE IN SIZE WITH NEW CONCEPT SHOP AT FASHION SHOW

Lush Cosmetics will soon showcase an all-new location within Fashion Show Las Vegas. Set to open late March, the newly expanded concept shop at Fashion Show will stretch 1,360 square feet – more than three times the average Lush store!

Taking inspiration from Lush’s 10,000 square foot shop on Oxford Street as well as the Borough Market, both located in London, the retail design will give new meaning to vintage charm. The store will be filled with one-of-a-kind, salvaged and reclaimed furniture that have been sourced from all over the country. This unique design concept of working from reclaimed materials reduces waste, ultimately cutting back on Lush’s environmental footprint, a value important to the brand. Plus, the neutral tones of the interior will contrast perfectly with the rainbow bright colors of Lush’s product range, including its signature bath bombs, a Las Vegan favorite.

The focal point of the store will be the Skin Care consultation station in the middle of the shop that will allow for enhanced one-to-one customer experiences. This area will give guests and Lush staff the chance to connect, discuss and interact with products and make personal recommendations based on in-depth conversations.

“We are very excited about our new large format location in Las Vegas,” said Elisa Torres, Lush’s Director of Retail. “Bigger shops, thoughtfully designed with the customer experience in mind, provide more space to demonstrate our ethics, playfully interact with our customers, and present our new and ever growing product range.”

FASHION SHOW CELEBRATES CHINESE NEW YEAR WITH OPENING CEREMONY, RIBBON CUTTING & LION DANCE

On Friday evening (Jan. 27, 2017) Fashion Show welcomed Chinese New Year with a special opening ceremony and ribbon cutting affair. To kick off the celebration, guests were invited to partake on a journey to China and experience cultural performances by the Sichuan Song and Dance Theater Company. Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman began the festivities and welcomed visitors and guests to Las Vegas.

Distinguished dignitaries including Michael Goldsmith (Vice President of International Marketing of LVCVA), Jim Heilmann (Senior General Manager of Fashion Show), and Xiao Xiayong, (Cultural Consul of Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco), along with Mayor Goodman joined together for the ribbon cutting, painting of the eye ceremony, and authentic lion dance to welcome the Year of the Rooster.

Guests were then treated to a runway show from Saks Fifth Ave sporting this year’s best looks in hues of red and gold. To round out the celebration, the lion dance continued on with a ceremonial blessing of the department stores where team members fed the dragon red envelopes to bring good luck for the year.
