New York-Style Theatrical Holiday Show
“Believe in the Magic” returns for its second year in a row, this time with a fresh new storyline. Guests are invited to experience the live, complimentary New York-style theatrical holiday show in the Great Hall at Fashion Show. Kicking off on Black Friday (Nov. 23), guests will be able to get into the holiday spirit as “Believe in the Magic” transforms the heart of this shopping destination into a one-of-a-kind experience the entire family will enjoy. Following every show, guests are invited to parade with characters to Santa’s Photo Experience, while singing carols – allowing for the ultimate holiday affair. This special holiday show will perform every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through the holiday season with an additional day of shows on Christmas Eve (Nov. 23, 24, 25, 30; Dec. 1-2, 7-9, 14-16 and 21-24), available at noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm each day.

Santa’s Photo Experience
Revel in the magic of the holiday season at Fashion Show’s holiday Santa experience. Located near Neiman Marcus, guests will be able to visit with the Father of Christmas himself, and enjoy a variety of light-up holiday experiences from Santa’s interactive throne, touchscreen control, oversized neon lights and picturesque light up Christmas trees ranging from 12 feet to 30 feet high. Guests will be wowed by the elaborately decorated trees, music and more. In addition, families are welcome to get their picture taken with Santa himself, available starting on November 16 through Christmas Eve (Dec. 24).

‘Santagram’ Holographic Window Display
Come one, come all to the all-new hologram holiday experience, “Twas the Light Before Christmas.” Created by London-based experiential agency Cinimod Studio, known for its Hologram for Pink Floyd and Ralph Lauren 50thAnniversary Reflection, the Santa-inspired holographic display will debut for the first time within the United States inside Fashion Show – just in time for the holidays. Located on the upper level across from Dick’s Sporting Goods, guests will be treated to an enchanting and wonderfully modern twist on the traditionalism and magic of Santa Claus. Family and friends will be immersed into the unique experience featuring an inside look at Santa Claus delivering presents across the night vista via a holographic display created by Cinimod’s in-house specialist hologram creation team. Guests will be thrilled by Santa’s warm and colorful interactions and entertaining antics, making a holiday holographic experience to remember. This exclusive experience will be available starting on November 22 through January 10, 2019.

Three Square Food Bank Works to Bag Childhood Hunger with ‘Fashion For Three Square’
Seventh annual event transformed Three Square headquarters into elegant social gathering in support of longstanding charitable campaign to benefit children in need


On Saturday, May 5, “Fashion for Three Square,” a special event underwritten by the Bennett Family Foundation, transformed Three Square’s north campus, which ordinarily houses operations, volunteering, food rescue, warehousing and distribution, into a grand party venue. The gathering featured elegant décor, fashion models, entertainment and local culinary tastes as attendees supported the Bag Childhood Hunger campaign, now in its seventh year.

The event featured fashions by Etro, presented by Neiman Marcus, along with food provided by top Las Vegas restaurants including: Blue Ribbon, STK, Buddy V’s Ristorante, La Strega, Libertine Social and Carnevino. In addition, Three Square’s executive chef John Hilton and his team prepared live dishes at the food bank’s demonstration kitchen & atrium. One of Three Square’s storage coolers was converted into an ice bar, featuring Artisanal Foods and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. MGM Resorts International provided an array of sweet treats. The event also welcomed entertainment from Las Vegas-based soul singer Jessica Manalo; Strip headliners The Australian Bee Gees, who performed hits from one of the most successful acts in musical history, the Bee Gees; and students from the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts.

Contributions made to Three Square’s Bag Childhood Hunger Campaign, which continues through May 31, will be used right here in Southern Nevada and will have double the impact thanks to a generous $500,000 contribution to match gifts toward the food bank’s goal to raise $2 million.

The Bag Childhood Hunger campaign supports one of the most vulnerable populations in Southern Nevada, children. Proper nutrition for children is critical as hunger can cause lasting physical and mental challenges. One in four children in Southern Nevada live in households that are food insecure. Additionally, more than 62 percent of children in Clark County schools are enrolled in free or reduced-price meal programs. That’s more than 203,000 students.

In its 10th year fighting hunger, Three Square is able to provide three meals for every dollar donated to the food bank. Thanks to the support of matching sponsors throughout this campaign, Three Square will be able to provide six meals for every dollar donated.

DRYBAR OPENS THIRD LOCATION IN LAS VEGAS

WHAT:
As part of a new partnership to showcase restored, historic Las Vegas signs on the Las Vegas Strip, the Neon Museum’s iconic Red Barn neon sign has been installed on the Fashion Show’s newly renovated Plaza. Consisting of a rotating lineup of restored, historic signs from the Neon Museum’s collection, this partnership marks the very first time signs from this renowned collection will be displayed on world-famous Strip. After several months, the Red Barn sign will be replaced with a different restored sign from the Neon Museum’s collection.

The Red Barn opened in the late 1950s as an antique store at 1317 Tropicana Avenue and was converted into a bar in the early 1960s. By 1969, it had evolved into one of the first openly gay bars in Las Vegas. Featuring drag shows, such as the popular “RB Follies,” the Red Barn provided a place for the gay community to socialize. The Red Barn also published the “RB Bag,” one of the earliest gay magazines in Southern Nevada. The bar closed in March 1988, and its restored iconic martini glass sign is now a part of the Neon Museum’s collection.

Opportunity Village is gearing up for Halloween with multiple themed events throughout September and October at the organization’s main campus on West Oakey Blvd. First, OV will host its first-ever Zombie Bash on September 26, and a Spook-tacular Kids Fashion Show presented by Neiman Marcus on October 4. Opportunity Village’s 3rd annual HallOVeen event launches October 9 with dates through November 1, followed by a spooky Monster Masquerade on October 24.

On Saturday, Sept. 26 zombies take over the Magical Forest for Opportunity Village’s 1st Annual ZOMBIE BASH. The evening kicks off at 8 p.m. with Zombie cocktails, post-apocalyptic train and carousel rides, and a creep through the darkened forest. At 9:30 p.m. the OV Events Center doors will open for all the zombie festivities. From 9:30 p.m.-1 a.m., guests will move inside with multiple bars, cocktails by The End zombie bar, music by DJ Irish and zombie makeovers available for $10, and entertainment from Zombie Burlesque. Guests may also enter a costume contest to be judged by Red and Drew from the famed body painting company Naked Vegas and the Zombie Burlesque for $10. Prizes will be awarded to the winners and all contestants will be entered into a raffle. Opportunity Village’s 3rd annual HallOVeen will showcase the Magical Forest transformed into a spooky land of goblins and ghosts. This child friendly event will feature fun for the whole family with rides and attractions including The Haunted Adventure by Santino and Rocco Panaro, a spooktacular Forest Express Passenger Train, Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel and Boris the Elf’s 3D Experience. Guests will enjoy nightly parades, crafts, spooky movies, story telling, “Scary-oke”, the Candy Cabin and special entertainment in the Haunted Castle Courtyard. Each night will feature a different theme with nightly costume contests and prizes awarded to winners.

HallOVeen debuts Oct. 9 and will be open every Friday-Sunday night throughout the month of Oct. During the last week of the month, HallOVeen will be open nightly through Nov. 1, which will feature a “Day of the Dead” theme for the final evening. Cast members from JERSEY BOYS modeled the latest looks from Banana Republic’s “Mad Men” collection on the runway. Following the fashion show, the cast was available for a exclusive meet and greet for participants of the clothing drive. Guests had the opportunity to meet, take photographs and receive autographs from cast members.

More than 15 amazing prizes were given away, including the Grand Prize package of two Orchestra tickets to JERSEY BOYS, a one-night stay at The Palazzo Resort-Hotel-Casino and dinner for two.

to Benefit HELP of Southern Nevada at Fashion Show
Event Includes Clothing Drive and Fashion Show on October 2

 

JERSEY BOYS will take their moves from the stage to the runway in an interactive fashion show event to benefit HELP of Southern Nevada on Sunday, October 2 on the runway at Fashion Show. The event will consist of a clothing drive, fashion show, prize raffle and exclusive meet and greet with JERSEY BOYS cast members. Emceed by KLAS-TV news anchor Dayna Roselli, the event kicks off at 2 p.m. with a retro-inspired fashion show followed by the meet and greet with cast members.  The afternoon with JERSEY BOYSwill conclude at 4 p.m. with a raffle of exciting prizes. Clothing drive donations will be accepted beginning at noon.  

“We are pleased to partner with HELP of Southern Nevada and Fashion Show for this event,” says JERSEY BOYS Producer Michael David. “JERSEY BOYS has gratefully been embraced by the Las Vegas community over the past three and a half years and this event is but one small way for us to give back to those in need.”

Guests can bring new or gently used clothing donations to the event to benefit HELP of Southern Nevada’s “Career Closet” and HELP’s Shannon West Youth Center. Donations for professional clothing including suits, dress pants, shirts and dress shoes for both men and women will be kindly accepted.  Warm clothing donations for youth ages 16 – 21 including jackets, sweaters, hooded sweatshirts and socks are also encouraged and accepted.  

“This event is coming at a critical time for HELP of Southern Nevada,” says Abby Quinn, community outreach manager of HELP of Southern Nevada. “As the colder months are approaching, we have a much greater need for warm clothing for the youth. We also have hundreds of clients who are currently looking for work and having nice, professional clothing helps them to put their best foot forward.” 

For every appropriate item donated, guests will receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win exciting prizes. There will not be a limit on the donations accepted; however raffle tickets will be limited at five per guest.  Donations must be received by 3:45 p.m. to receive a raffle ticket. More than 15 amazing prizes will be given away, including the Grand Prize package of two Orchestra tickets to JERSEY BOYS, a one-night stay at The Palazzo Resort-Hotel-Casino and dinner for two. Other prizes include an additional ten pair of JERSEY BOYS tickets and restaurant and retailer gift certificates from Fashion Show, The Shoppes at the Palazzo and The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. Winners must be present to win.
