    The “Hollywood Film Awards” today announced that multi-talented Academy and Emmy Award nominated, Golden Globe Award-winning actress, Grammy Award-winning musician and talk show host Queen Latifah, will host the inaugural broadcast of the HOLLYWOOD FILM AWARDS, live from the Hollywood Palladium Friday, November 14, 2014 (8:00-10:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.  The “Hollywood Film Awards” has recognized excellence in the art of cinema and filmmaking for 17 years, honoring some of the world’s biggest stars. They are considered the official launch of the awards season.

Latifah has enjoyed similar success in television and film. Iconic screen star and singer, Robert Davi, is set to take music lovers on a monumental journey down the whimsical road to romance as he pays homage to the  legendary Frank Sinatra for a special three-night engagement in the 742-seat Venetian Showroom, Thursday, Feb. 23 through Saturday, Feb. 25 at 9 p.m.

 

“Robert Davi is a true renaissance artist,” said Chris Yancey, executive director of entertainment for The Venetian and The Palazzo.  “Seeing him perform in the intimate setting of The Venetian Showroom will be a memorable experience and a real treat for our guests.”

 

Davi is hailed as being one of the most recognizable entertainers in the world. With an awe-inspiring cinematic repertoire spanning more than three decades, Davi has shared screen credits with some of the more illustrious figures in Hollywood including Clint Eastwood, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Josh Brolin and Bruce Willis. Davi has starred in such blockbuster hits as “Die Hard,” “License to Kill” and “The Goonies.”

 

After appearing in well over one hundred major motion pictures, Davi has returned to his first love of singing by releasing, to critical acclaim, a preeminent album produced by Phil Ramone in celebrated tribute to Davi’s mentor, Frank Sinatra. In less than a month following its highly-anticipated global release, “Davi Sings Sinatra: On the Road to Romance, secured a position of honor on Billboard’s Top 100 Traditional Jazz charts. Selections from his sensational new album include such American classics as “I’ve Got the World on a String,” “The Best is Yet to Come” and “Day In Day Out.”
