Don McLean To Be Awarded George & Ira Gershwin Award For Lifetime Musical Achievement On May 17

McLean also announces Father’s Day weekend concert at Elvis Presley’s Graceland on June 15

Don McLean, America’s legendary singer and songwriter, will be awarded the George and Ira Gershwin Award for lifetime musical achievement on behalf of the Student Alumni Association of UCLA. In recognition of George and Ira Gershwin’s contributions to American music and in honor of their gift to UCLA, the UCLA Student Alumni Association established the annual George and Ira Gershwin Award for Lifetime Musical Achievement in 1988.

“I am such a great lover and admirer of the work of the Gershwin’s that to receive this award is a thrill,” said McLean. “In popular music the modernism of their music put them in a class by themselves.”

McLean will accept the award on Friday, May 17 at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, during UCLA’s 2019 Spring Sing event. The 31st edition of the award is in recognition of the tremendous contributions McLean has made to the music industry throughout his career. Reserved for influential musical figures, past recipients include Tom Petty, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, James Taylor, Julie Andrews, Lionel Richie, Anthony Kiedis, The Who and last year’s recipient, Linkin Park.

“On behalf of UCLA, I am thrilled to present the 2019 George and Ira Gershwin Award for Lifetime Musical Achievement to Don McLean,” said Award Director, Isabella Dohil, “whose poetic lyrics have transcended time and remain a staple of American culture. Don’s contributions to music have been profound and he continues to capture audiences both young and old through his dynamic storytelling.”

“I will be at Graceland for a Fathers Day concert and I will sing ‘And I Love You So,’ a song I wrote which Elvis sang during the last year of his life,” said McLean. “It also appears on his album, Today, released in 1975.”

Throughout the weekend, guests will be treated to tours of the iconic Graceland mansion, Elvis Presley’s Memphis™ entertainment complex and experience the brand-new Graceland Exhibition Center featuring three fantastic exhibits: Muhammad Ali: Greatest of All Time, Memphis Music Legends and A Century of the American Motorcycle. Since first hitting the charts in 1971, Don McLean has amassed over 40 gold and platinum records world-wide and, in 2004, was inducted into the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame. Classic hits like “American Pie”, “Vincent (Starry Starry Night)”, “Castles in the Air”, “And I Love You So”, “Crossroads” and “The Grave” propelled McLean into the mainstream. Many of his songs have been recorded and sung by musicians from every genre, including Madonna‘s No. 1 recording of “American Pie” in 2000, George Michael’s rendition of “The Grave” in 2003, and James Blake’s version of “Vincent (Starry Starry Night).”

Having recently honored the 60th anniversary of Buddy Holly’s death, and receiving Million-Air certifications from BMI for over 5 million certified airplays of “American Pie” and 3 million certified airplays for “Vincent (Starry, Starry Night),” McLean continues to bring his classic hit songs to stages around the world.

About Don McLean:
A New York native, Don McLean is one of the most revered and respected songwriters in American history. After paying his dues in the New York club scene in the late ‘60s, he went on to score mega-hits like “American Pie,” “Vincent (Starry, Starry Night),” “Castles in the Air” and many more. In 2004, McLean was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame by country superstar Garth Brooks. In 2000, “American Pie” was named one of the Top 5 Songs of the 20th Century by the RIAA and in 2002 was inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame. In 2015, one of McLean’s four handwritten manuscripts of the lyrics to “American Pie” was auctioned by Christies, selling for just over $1.2 Million. 2017 brought a huge honor when his iconic song was inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry, joining less than 500 works including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” With over 40 gold and platinum records worldwide, McLean’s prowess for writing timeless songs was again captured on his 2018 album, Botanical Gardens, as he artfully weaves country, Americana, folk, and boot stomping rock for an eclectic, yet American sound that he is known for.

Ronnie McDowell Celebrates 40 Years Of Music And Releases New Album ‘Songs I Love’

RONNIE MCDOWELL CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF MUSIC AND RELEASES NEW ALBUM SONGS I LOVE

Legendary Singer/Songwriter Recorded Songs That Shaped His Life, Exclusive Pre-Order Bundle Includes Autographed New Artwork and CD

Ronnie McDowell, known for 40 years of hit singles and genuine warmth that fills seats show after show, is set to release Songs I Love, a brand new album featuring his versions of his all-time favorite songs, as well as two original tracks. Fans can pre-order the album, along with McDowell’s most recent print, as part of an exclusive bundle on RonnieMcDowellStore.com.

Songs I Love features McDowell’s one-of-a kind rendition of the songs most special to him by artists including Eddie Rabbitt, Frank Sinatra, Ricky Nelson, Merle Haggard, B.J. Thomas, Charlie Rich and more. Two new tracks co-penned by McDowell titled “I Want That Girl” and “He Still Has You” round out the project, which showcases a never-before-seen photo of a young McDowell on the back cover.

A man of many talents, McDowell is accompanying the album with his most recent artwork in the exclusive pre-order bundle. “Just In The Nick Of Time” features Elvis Presley and his 1950’s band (Scotty Moore, D.J. Fontana and Bill Black) on their way to a show. When they have a flat tire, St. Nick saves the day by offering them his sleigh. Each print and CD will be autographed by McDowell.

“This album is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. These songs have been dear to my heart from the time i was a child at 10, 11 and 12 years old. The print is unusual, as the year is 1954 and Elvis’ pink Cadillac is broken down in front of a diner on Christmas Eve. Luckily Santa Claus is there to give Elvis and the band a ride, ‘Just In the Nick of Time’,” said McDowell of his new releases.

Celebrating 40 great years in country music in 2017, “The King is Gone” hitmaker quickly proved that he wasn’t just a one-hit wonder following the iconic tribute to Elvis Presley. From that single onward, McDowell charted more than thirty Top 40 hits on the Billboard country music charts. Two of his singles, “Older Women” and “You’re Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation,” reached No. 1 on the country charts, while eleven more reached Top Ten. He has also released more than twenty studio albums.

ABOUT RONNIE MCDOWELL:
Like all great entertainers, Ronnie McDowell has a personality that remains luminous long after the lights go dim. These qualities have inspired a nationwide network of fan-clubs with more than 3,000 members, each one a devoted promoter of everything McDowell does. Following the death of Elvis Presley in 1977, Ronnie McDowell came out of nowhere to dazzle the world with his heartfelt and self-penned tribute song “The King Is Gone” on the independent Scorpion label. The record took off immediately, gaining airplay on country and pop stations across the country and around the world. To date, “The King Is Gone” has sold more than five million copies. McDowell scored a second hit for the Scorpion label titled “I Love You, I Love You, I Love You” before being wooed and signed by CBS Records – Epic label in 1979. He continued to chart a string of hit singles and albums for Epic between 1979 and 1986. Every single release with the exception of just one became a Top 10 Hit including the chart toppers “Older Women” and “You’re Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation.” Other hits during his Epic years included “Watchin Girls Go By,” “Personally,” “You Made A Wanted Man Of Me,” “All Tied Up” and “In A New York Minute.” He sought the advice of artists such as Conway Twitty who became, in essence, not only his mentor but his friend as well. Twitty helped the young singer with advice about touring, recording and most of all, entertaining fans. Twitty was certainly the master and Ronnie McDowell quickly became his prize pupil. Moving to Curb Records in 1986, his current label to date, McDowell scored a Top 10 hit with “It’s Only Make Believe,” a duet with Conway Twitty on what was Twitty’s breakthrough hit from 1958. Two years later Ronnie teamed up with Jerry Lee Lewis for a rocking duet that McDowell wrote titled,”You’re Never Too Old To Rock N’ Roll.” He also recorded yet another Top 10 hit with his version of the pop standard “Unchained Melody,” which also became a #1 country music video. His entertaining abilities soared and he began to draw larger crowds. He started appearing in larger venues and touring with artists such as Conway Twitty, Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn before headlining his own shows. McDowell also achieved notoriety when he sang 36 songs on the soundtrack “Elvis,” the Dick Clark-produced television movie that featured Kurt Russell as the performer. He also was the singing voice for the television movie “Elvis And Me”, the ABC television series about the early years of Elvis’ career titled simply “Elvis” as well as, the 1997 Showtime special “Elvis Meets Nixon.” While Elvis Presley has played a big part in Ronnie McDowell’s musical career over the years, Ronnie continues to entertain audiences with his own blend of romantic intimacy and country excitement.

SINATRA FANS FLOCKING TO THE GOLDEN STEER STEAKHOUSE,
TWO RESERVATIONS REMAIN FOR SATURDAY’S 100TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Iconic Las Vegas Restaurant Offering Ol’ Blue Eyes’ Favorite Dishes and Cocktail in One
Special Menu Throughout December

golden steer2

Frank Sinatra fans are coming to Las Vegas this month to pay homage to the Chairman of the Board. This Saturday, Dec. 12, will mark what would have been his 100th birthday. The Golden Steer Steakhouse, Las Vegas’ longest-running steakhouse, remains one of the very few places where he dined in the city. As such, the iconic restaurant is offering 3-course menu was created based on what Sinatra ordered as a Golden Steer regular, back in the ’60s while performing Las Vegas shows with the Rat Pack.

Priced at $100* per person and available any day of the month except this Saturday, guests who experience “Frank’s Menu” will dine in his actual booth (table 22) which seats up to four guests.
His menu includes:

  • Clams Casino: from Narragansett Bay, this dish is prepared with clams on the half shell, baked with white wine, bacon, diced red and yellow peppers and bread crumbs.
  • New York Strip Steak, 16 oz.: served with sautéed diced tomatoes, garlic and white wine and medium rare, just like he ordered it.
  • Bananas Foster: the house specialty, The Golden Steer is one of the few restaurants in Las Vegas able to stylishly serve this dessert tableside as a flambé.
  • Jack Daniels: the drink will be prepared just as he drank it – with three fingers of Jack and two ice cubes.
  • Italian red wine.
  • One classic Zippo lighter, engraved with The Golden Steer logo and the date of Sinatra’s 100th birthday.
  • One ticket for admission to The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, where guests can learn more about Sinatra’s history with the mafia including FBI photos regarding the kidnapping of Sinatra’s only son, Frank, Jr. (see below for more information) and his ties to Chicago Outfit boss Sam Giancana and the Cal-Neva lodge.

For guests wishing to dine on Sinatra’s actual birthday, Saturday, Dec. 12, in addition to Frank’s Menu and being seated in his booth, each guest will receive:

  • One roll of dimes: on Dec. 8, 1963, Sinatra’s only son, Frank, Jr., was kidnapped at Harrah’s Club Lodge in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. He was 19-years-old at the time and preparing for his own performance that night. The kidnappers demanded Sinatra call from untraceable pay phones. Following the return of his son, Sinatra began a lifelong habit of carrying a roll of dimes (the cost of a pay phone call at the time) “just in case of emergency.” He was reportedly buried with a roll of dimes, as well as a bottle of Jack Daniels and a pack of Camel cigarettes.
  • On that night only, there will be a live performance of Sinatra classics.

The price for “Frank’s Menu” scheduled on his birthday is a minimum of $1,000 per reservation for the four-top. Two spots are currently available for this Saturday: 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

To further the nostalgia of the evening, for one night only, Piano Follies featuring Lionardo will be performing Sinatra’s classic hits.

“The popularity of this menu far exceeded any of our expectations,” says Dr. Michael Signorelli, owner, The Golden Steer Steakhouse. “We are able to offer a truly authentic experience because our restaurant is one of the very few places that remain in Las Vegas where Sinatra actually dined. With us, not only will you dine and drink like Sinatra, you’ll sit exactly where he sat – which makes it a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
22734147159_cf3f524982_z
Sinatra became a regular guest at The Golden Steer in the ’60s while he was performing with the Rat Pack (Peter Lawford, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Joey Bishop). It was Sammy Davis, Jr. who first brought Sinatra to the restaurant. In the ’60s, African-Americans could not dine in the hotels and this applied to Davis, even though he was a performer. The Golden Steer welcomed Davis who would stop to eat at the restaurant which was, at the time, located between the Moulin Rouge, Las Vegas’ first desegregated hotel and casino, and the Sands Hotel and Casino, where the Rat Pack performed. The Golden Steer honors its repeat and loyal guests by dedicating booths. Thanks to Sinatra’s patronage, the restaurant’s celebrity guest list would expand to begin including regulars such as Marilyn Monroe, Joe DiMaggio and John Wayne. The restaurant dedicated booth number 20 to Davis, booth number 21 to Martin and booth number 22 to Sinatra, where all three tables remain next to one another to this day.

To book reservations, call (702) 384-4470 or click here for Open Table.

*The price does not include tax and gratuity.

The price for “Frank’s Menu” scheduled on his birthday will be a minimum of $1,000 per reservation for the four-top. Only three times are available that evening for reservations: 4:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

“This our way of authentically pay homage to the Chairman of the Board as only we can,” says Dr. Michael Signorelli, owner, The Golden Steer Steakhouse. “Very few places in town remain where Sinatra actually dined. He was even known for walking around the restaurant and serenading fellow guests while they ate and drank. We have all served and interacted with Sinatra over the years and it’s an honor to create this once-in-a-lifetime experience his fans will cherish.”

Sinatra became a regular guest at The Golden Steer in the ’60s while he was performing with the Rat Pack (Peter Lawson, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Joey Bishop).

Reckless in Vegas Hosts Costume Party Performance, October 30

Reckless in Vegas

RECKLESS IN VEGAS HOSTS RAT-PACK-INSPIRED COSTUME PARTY, CONCERT AT THE SMITH CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS,
FRIDAY, OCT. 30

Acclaimed Band, Reckless in Vegas, to Perform Alt-Rock Renditions of Rat Pack-Era Classics

On the heels of its first, sold-out engagement at Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, Reckless In Vegas announces its next Cabaret Jazz show. On Friday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m., the unique power trio invites the public to don its best 1950s and 60s-era fashions for a spirited costume contest to take place throughout the evening’s performance.

Deirdre Clemente, fashion history expert and associate director, public history program, University of Nevada, Las Vegas will judge the contest. The first-place winner will receive $250, the second-place winner will receive $150 and the third-place winner will receive a Reckless In Vegas swag bag.

Reckless In Vegas combines the imagery, banter and classic music from the 1960s “glory days” of Las Vegas with a contemporary rock band aesthetic. It’s not just a band—members Michael Shapiro (band founder, lead vocals, guitar), Ryan Low, aka Dr. Fu (drums, vocals) and Chris Nichols (bass, vocals) have created an exciting show that incorporates their live performances of modern versions of songs by artists such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elvis, Sonny & Cher, Frankie Valli, Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash and Bobby Darin with dynamic production-show elements. Whether you remember the swinging Vegas lounge era days or were born later, Reckless In Vegas has something for everyone. Video montages, dialogue, humor, modern hard-rocking grooves and tender moments of balladry combine to create a truly original take on this classic genre. Think The Rat Pack meets Green Day.

“Playing Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center for the first time is a thrill for us,” says Shapiro. “Its classic showroom vibe complements our show perfectly—we can’t wait to see our fans and make new ones in such a distinctive environment.”

About Michael Shapiro
Shapiro was raised in Las Vegas and, after a stint in California, came back to his old hometown earlier this year. He picked up his first guitar at age 13 and trained hard in guitar, vocals, piano and trumpet, attuning his ear to classical opera as well as rock. A chance encounter with a family friend struck the right chord and paved Shapiro’s way into music. At age 16, he had the opportunity to jam with Bruce Springsteen. The rocker’s energetic marathon performances spurred Shapiro to develop a taste for a raucous stage presence. After stints in various cover bands in his teens, Shapiro formed the band Trip, released a few CD’s and toured. Being part of the VH1 Rock Across America Tour, Trip opened for such artists as Edwin McCain, Duncan Sheik, The Romantics and Cheap Trick. It was during an ill-fated gig opening for Great White when a tragic fire struck, that moved Shapiro to deeply reflect on life’s vagaries and whims.

He bounced back, releasing his first solo album, Somehow, Someway, and toured nationally, opening for the band Live. After moving to San Rafael, Calif., he formed the power trio, Reckless in Vegas.

Shapiro’s style yields insight into his influences: Jimi Hendrix’s relentless guitar riffs, Journey’s Neal Schon, Carlos Santana and the melodic and powerful vocal styling of U2′s Bono. In fact, it is “Hendrix’s bluesy style” and wild “manipulation of the guitar” that Shapiro credits as a major early influence.

About Ryan Low
Born in Chinatown, San Francisco, Low is a high visibility drummer who is remarkable not only for his showmanship, distinctive and varying styles and driving rhythm, but also for how often he is seen playing with various artists. Low’s unique approach and explosive energy onstage brings him to the forefront of Reckless In Vegas’ performances. Besides being a performer and session player, Low is a committed teacher of drums and music. He applies his classical music training to his teaching, along with his love and passion for drumming. Although Low is a true lover of rock and funk drumming, he has explored a variety of musical styles from hip-hop to country, Latin jazz to R&B. He is always up for a challenge to expand his musical repertoire. Over the last 20 years, Low has performed everywhere west of the Rockies, and remains a solid Bay Area performer. He also has extensive recording experience, with almost 13 records under his belt to date. He has expanded his drumming credentials by working as co-producer on one of his recent projects.

About Chris Nichols
Born in Newark, Ohio, as the son of a piano teacher, Nichols studied the piano, cello, guitar, drums and bass.  His early years led him to Nashville where he toured with several artists throughout the nation. His desire to “Go West” led him to Las Vegas when the mob still owned the town. He saw the Sands and the Dunes casinos fall to their demise. Since moving to Sin City, he has recorded on several records both as an artist and an engineer.  Nichols actually shared the stage with Shapiro in Trip as they ascended to the height of that band’s career. With the help of several bands, he has also shared stages with Willie Nelson, Chris Isaak, Toto, Peter Frampton, Rick James and Lifehouse, to name just a few.

Tickets for “An Evening with Reckless In Vegas” start at $35 and are available at The Smith Center Box Office, located at 361 Symphony Park Avenue, by phone at (702) 749-2000 or (808) 326-6868 (TTY) and online at www.TheSmithCenter.com. 55 Years A Vegas Headliner – Don Rickles Returns to The Orleans Showroom, August 16-17 and October 11-12

orleans

Marking His Record-Breaking 55th Consecutive Year as a Las Vegas Headliner

‘Mr. Warmth’ Don Rickles Returns to The Orleans Showroom August 16-17 and October 11-12

Returning to Las Vegas for a record-smashing 55th consecutive year, internationally renowned comedian, actor and entertainer Don Rickles is set for two weekends at The Orleans Showroom in 2014: August 16-17 and October 11 and 12.

Having earned the nicknames “The Merchant of Venom” and “Mr. Warmth,” (the latter coined affectionately by Johnny Carson), Rickles’ style of comedy is never mean-spirited and all part of his act. It has been said that being “zinged” by Rickles is like “wearing a badge of honor.”

Rickles took his first step toward national fame in 1957, when Rickles spotted Frank Sinatra in the audience at a nightclub in Miami Beach. The still-unknown Rickles eyed Sinatra and said, “I just saw your movie, ‘The Pride and the Passion,’ and I want to tell you, the cannon was great. Make yourself at home, Frank. Hit somebody.” Sinatra, whose pet name for Rickles was “bullet-head,” enjoyed Rickles so much that he returned to see him when he was performing in Los Angeles, and encouraged other celebrities to see his act. Rickles soon became the “in” comic among Hollywood stars, who flocked to see him to become a target of his insults. Sinatra’s continuing support helped Rickles become a popular performer in Las Vegas, where he first started in 1959, and has been a headliner ever since.

Shortly after being discovered by Sinatra, Rickles made his acting debut in 1958’s “Run Silent Run Deep.” The movie was a hit, launching Rickles towards a celebrated career as a movie, television and theater actor. His still-growing television and film resume includes roles in “Casino,” “Kelly’s Heroes,” “The Rat Race,” all three “Toy Story” films, HBO’s “Tales From the Crypt,” and Bravo’s “My Life on the D-List” with Kathy Griffin. In 2011, he made a surprise appearance in a “cliff-hanger” episode as the “thought to be dead” husband of Betty White’s character on the TV Land comedy “Hot In Cleveland.” Later in the year, he returned to the show for the “payoff.” He recently appeared on Showtime’s new series “Inside Comedy,” where fellow comedian David Steinberg interviewed him. In 2000, Rickles received one of the highest honors in the entertainment business, when he received a star on the famed Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Rickles has received two Primetime Emmy® Awards, including Best Individual Performance in a Variety or Musical for the 2008 HBO special “Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project.” In 2009, cable network TV Land honored Rickles with the “Legend Award.” Rickles’ best-selling memoir “Rickles’ Book” was released in 2007, and was followed up with the 2008 title “Rickles’ Letters.

In spring 2012, Rickles joined David Letterman as the only performers to receive the prestigious “Johnny Carson Award for Comedic Excellence” at The Comedy Awards, aired on Comedy Central. The award was presented to Rickles by Jon Stewart and Robert DeNiro. And this June, Rickles was honored with the Friars Club’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Comedy at a star-studded awards gala at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. Among those participating in honoring Don through their songs or words were Lewis Black, Louis C.K., Natalie Cole, Bob Costas, Tony Danza, Robert DeNiro, Kathy Griffin, Diana Krall, John Mayer, Bob Newhart, Regis Philbin, Joan Rivers, Bob Saget and John Stamos.

In addition to recurring dates in Las Vegas at The Orleans, Rickles continues to be a popular performer in venues throughout the country.

Tickets are on sale May 3 for the August 16-17 performances. The October 11-12 shows will go on sale at a later date.

Showtime each evening is 8 p.m. Tickets are available starting from $79.95, plus tax and convenience fees, and can be purchased at any Boyd Gaming Box Office, by calling 702.365.7075, or visiting www.orleanscasino.com.

Renowned photographer, Jeff Mitchum, hosted a private preview event for his upcoming Hollywood Collection at the MGM Grand gallery on New Year’s Eve. The stunning collection features one-of-a-kind images of classic Hollywood stars and movie sets rarely seen in print.

Scattered around the gallery were nine dazzling images of old Hollywood glamour, beautifully re-mastered from the original studio negatives. Originally captured almost a century ago, the images are recreated using today’s printing techniques and colorized accordingly by use of Mitchum’s creative oversight. Of note are rarely seen shots of Marilyn Monroe and Lucille Ball during the height of their modeling careers as well as a young Fred Astaire enjoying a round of golf.

Living up to his notorious attention to detail, Mitchum framed each image in airplane grade aluminum and personally signed the prints, completing the museum-quality collection. This is the only time the images have been produced and sold with the original negative, making the prints unique collectors’ items.

The collection will be unveiled and available to the public in early 2014.

The Knuttel Gallery, the first high-end art gallery located at the Venetian-Palazzo Resort, is coming to Las Vegas in November 2013.

The gallery exhibits exclusively the work of Ireland’s most famous figurative artist. Knuttel, whose work is among the most recognizable of living European artists, is best known for his boldly colored canvases that often depict human beings trying to find emotional connection with one another. Both playful and intense, his paintings express the hidden beauty and subtle tensions in human relationships.

“I have a strict discipline and I work from first light every morning until darkness, and beyond,” Knuttel said. “As I work, I use as source matter my experiences as a younger man. I like to paint the human predicament as I have seen it. My figures appear in an urban landscape of which I am part. Ultimately, I enjoy people watching. There is literally no better city on Earth for people watching than Las Vegas. I feel like the city and I were made for one another.”

Graham Knuttel’s paintings and sculptures have been acquired by an array of celebrities, including Frank Sinatra, Sylvester Stallone, Whoopi Goldberg, Colin Firth, Michael Stipe, and Viscount Linley, the nephew of Queen Elizabeth. Director John Herzfeld commissioned Knuttel to paint Robert De Niro. Several prestigious institutions such as Goldman Sachs and the William Morris Agency have also counted Knuttel canvases among their displayed art.

The gallery is curated by Knuttel Worldwide Ventures, a partnership between the artist and Las Vegas-based Redhills Ventures.

“Over the years, I have had the privilege of exhibiting my paintings and sculptures in many established galleries throughout Ireland, the UK and much of Europe,” said Knuttel.  “A Las Vegas art collector who has acquired dozens of my works has long assured me that my art would be perfect for Las Vegas. This fine art gallery on the Las Vegas Strip is an exciting new (ad)venture.”

About Graham Knuttel
A renowned Irish artist, Graham Knuttel focused during his early schooling primarily on painting, but transitioned to sculpture for much of his early career. The use of drawing and color in sculpture led him back to painting. Today Knuttel uses both mediums, as well as Dixon Irish Wall Tapis and Aubusson French Tapestries to communicate what he sees and what he wants to say about the world around him. Knuttel’s bold colors and distinct characters depict ferocity, attitude and a vicious playfulness. Knuttel’s strict work discipline and unique perspective have shaped him into the figurative artist of the twenty-first century. His work has been acquired by Sylvester Stallone, Robert De Niro, Frank Sinatra, the William Morris Agency and many others.
